Drawing from Jungian psychology, we explore the Self as a mysterious, instinctive force guiding us towards healing and growth, much like an acorn becoming an oak tree. Contrarily, the ego acts as a temporary, curated narrative influenced by experiences, culture, and societal expectations. The episode discusses the dynamics between these two aspects, emphasizing the importance of awareness and self-reflection. This weekly broadcast examines current events from across the globe to learn what's happening in all areas of people activity. We cultivate Counter-Racist Media Literacy by scrutinizing journalists' word choices and using logic to deconstruct what is reported as "news." We'll use these sessions to hone our use of terms as tools to reveal truth, neutralize Racists/White people. #ANTIBLACKNESS President Donald J. Trump returned to the White House and immediately kept his word by pardoning approximately 1,500 mostly White Terrorists who participated in the infamous January 6th, 2021 Terrorist Insurrection at the US Capitol. Rachel "Pink Hat Lady" Powell and the racially ambiguous Enrique Tarrio all were given a get out of jail free pass. Contrarily, President Trump razed all of President Joe Biden's "Diversity, Equity & Inclusion" initiatives. In the midst of all this, there was another school shooting in Nashville, Tennessee - the same location of the 2023 Covenant Church Shooting. Significantly, Wednesday's shooter was a 17-year-old black male. This tragedy happened at a school that's reportedly over 80% non-white. #TurnerDiaries #TheCOWS16Years INVEST in The COWS – http://paypal.me/TheCOWS Cash App: https://cash.app/$TheCOWS CALL IN NUMBER: 605.313.5164 CODE: 564943#

Griffin Warner and Big East Ben break down this weekends college basketball action. The guys are coming off a 2-0 best bet winning podcast. Podcast Overview Episode: Need for Seeds College Basketball Podcast, hosted by Griffin Warner ("Real News Corgi Warner") and "Big East Ben." Focus: Previewing five college basketball games and sharing best bets. The hosts reflect on their perfect 2-0 record from last weekend's picks. Game Previews and Analyses Alabama vs. Kentucky Odds: Kentucky -2 (home favorites). Analysis: Griffin Warner (0:13–5:25): Emphasized Alabama's inconsistency, referencing their loss to Ole Miss (64 points, 5/20 from three-point range). Highlighted Kentucky's dominance at home, excellent three-point defense (ranked 7th nationally), and offensive versatility with five potential three-point shooters. He predicts the Kentucky crowd will be a key factor despite the early game time. Big East Ben (1:33–3:39): Criticized Alabama's reliance on volume three-point shooting, citing their 252nd ranking in three-point percentage. Opted for Kentucky due to their defensive capabilities and Alabama's road vulnerabilities. Ben humorously used a stuffed elephant as a "sign" to pick Kentucky. Purdue vs. Oregon Odds: Purdue +2.5 (underdogs at Oregon). Analysis: Big East Ben (5:26–7:00): Skeptical of Purdue despite their six-game winning streak, citing weak competition and poor interior defense (219th in two-point defense). Believes Oregon, with their superior interior presence (Biddle), can exploit Purdue's weaknesses. Griffin Warner (7:00–8:16): Highlighted Purdue's defensive shortcomings post-Zach Edey and their struggles with road travel. Warner aligned with Ben's pick of Oregon to win. Arizona vs. Texas Tech Odds: Arizona +4.5 (underdogs at Texas Tech). Analysis: Big East Ben (8:17–10:59): Acknowledged Arizona's resurgence after early struggles, including their seven-game winning streak. Criticized Texas Tech's inconsistent season but noted their potential for a strong finish. Ben backed Arizona, citing their road success and motivation to prove themselves. Griffin Warner (11:00–12:19): Contrarily, Warner favored Texas Tech, referencing their improvement and the potential of United Supermarkets Arena to be an intimidating venue. Skepticism about Arizona's consistency led him to pick Texas Tech despite noting Arizona's talent. Clemson vs. Pittsburgh Odds: Clemson +3 (underdogs at Pittsburgh). Analysis: Big East Ben (14:01–16:19): Pointed to Pittsburgh's desperation after three consecutive losses and questioned Clemson's road form (losses to Boise State, South Carolina, and Louisville). He picked Pittsburgh due to their home advantage and greater motivation. Griffin Warner (16:20–17:22): Supported Pittsburgh as well, citing Clemson's vulnerability on the road and turnovers. Creighton vs. Connecticut Odds: Creighton +7.5 (underdogs at UConn). Analysis: Big East Ben (17:23–19:57): Avoided a direct side pick, favoring the under (146 points). Cited UConn's lower-scoring games since an injury to McNeely and Creighton's tendency to force UConn into difficult shots. Griffin Warner (19:58–21:23): Agreed on the under, noting Creighton's away-game struggles and potential foul trouble for key players. Advised bettors to wait for line movements before making picks. Best Bets Big East Ben: Georgia +6 against Auburn. Noted Auburn's lack of key player Janai Broome and Georgia's offensive rebounding strength (11th nationally). Highlighted Georgia's improved home atmosphere. Griffin Warner: Kentucky -2 against Alabama. Backed Kentucky's home-court advantage and superior matchups against Alabama's three-point heavy offense. Conclusion The hosts wrapped up by highlighting their perfect best-bet record from the prior week and promoting merchandise and subscription discounts. The episode maintained a mix of humor and detailed basketball insights. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Aside from spilling beer down someone's back or getting an order wrong, when waiters screw up is when we forget our role: We can think it's our job to please everyone. We can think we are supposed to be the diner's best friend, or that people came to the restaurant to see us. Contrarily, we can treat the whole thing as transactional. We can get snippy and short with the kitchen. I would take myself too seriously and get self-righteous. One time the manager pulled me aside and sat me down because I yelled at him and the line cooks, "Well SOMEONE oughta care about the tables, and apparently it won't be any of YOU." That's right: I got put into time out for being too self-righteous. Waiting tables for the Lord - has similar pitfalls. What I noticed when I went on sabbatical was just how much I was carrying. And some of that is just part of the job - there's a lot of emotional labor in the facilitating of relationships. But some of what I was carrying was because I was forgetting my role. Thinking I was supposed to please everyone, or that I was supposed to be everyone's best friend, or that I was the star of the show. I can treat my role as transactional too - not in the sense of trying to get you to tip me - but in the sense that I can think that I have to earn your approval by doing enough things just right. And in both the restaurant and the church I can get too serious and self-righteous. Want to support our podcast? Give Here

In a compelling development, insiders have revealed that should Donald Trump emerge victorious in this year's presidential election, the U.S Department of Justice (DOJ) plans on exploring legal cases against him past Inauguration Day. Despite the common idiom, the finish line for federal prosecutors wouldn't be the Election Day, instead, it would stretch beyond, till the day the he is inaugurated.Exploring legal issues concerning individuals holding or running for the office of the president certainly isn't uncharted territory. However, it is worthy to note the potential implications this development could have. Traditionally, the progression of cases against an incumbent president has followed a legally complex and diplomatically sensitive route. With this potential extension of investigation, it would mean that even after being elected and assuming office, the President could face ongoing federal prosecution.Contrarily, if Donald Trump does not win, the Justice Department's plans underline the likelihood of his imminent legal struggles. As an ordinary citizen, Donald Trump could face prosecution for any number of ongoing investigations untethered by the protection offered to a sitting president. Meanwhile, as the 2020 U.S. Election drama unfolds, the name 'Jack Smith' has also come to light. Smith, who has been less than vocal about his political views, is now connected to Donald Trump, although details of how remain undisclosed. How Jack Smith fits into the tapestry woven around Trump's legal predicaments is yet undoubtedly an intriguing facet to observant political enthusiasts. These developments fuel ongoing debates about the extent of legal immunity that leaders should be accorded and how it affects the democratic fabric of a nation. Furthermore, it underscores the importance of utmost transparency and ethical conduct in political leaders, especially in those occupying the highest seat of power. What this eventually means for the Trump administration should he win, and what role Jack Smith plays, remains to be seen. Thus, in a year saturated with surprising turns in political events, this latest revelation promises to add another riveting chapter. Whether Donald Trump triumphs on Election Day or not, it appears that his dance with the justice system is far from over. After all, the wheels of justice, although slowly, grind exceedingly fine.

Dr. Richard Swenson, author of The Overload Syndrome and Margin, writes that… “We must have some room to breathe. We need freedom to think and permission to heal. Our relationships are being starved to death by velocity.”Too many people are physically, emotionally, mentally, and financially overloaded these days. So, we'll look at rest from a biblical perspective today. The Concept of MarginIn his writings, Dr. Richard Swenson introduces the concept of "margin"—essentially, it's the space to take a break before you break down. Many of us feel there's just not enough time, money, or energy left at the end of the day to recuperate, leading us to start the next day at full throttle again. This lifestyle, lacking margin, can have severe physical and financial consequences.Consider sleep, for instance. The Sleep Foundation reports that nearly half of people in the U.S. struggle with sleep, and about one-third of adults sleep less than seven hours each night. Chronic sleep deprivation can lead to expensive health issues like diabetes, anxiety, obesity, and heart disease. Additionally, research from Sleep Advisor indicates that over 2 percent of the U.S. GDP is lost due to workers' lack of proper sleep.Working late nights and weekends might seem necessary if you feel like life is moving too fast. However, burning the candle at both ends is ultimately unproductive. Exhaustion leaves no energy for the most important things—your relationships with others and the Lord.Work and Rest: Finding the Right BalanceWhile God calls us to work for our families, His Kingdom, and the community, He also emphasizes the need for rest. Rest is God's idea as much as work is. God rested on the seventh day of Creation—not out of tiredness, but because His work was complete. He blessed that rest and called it holy. The Sabbath, enshrined as one of the Ten Commandments, shows how much God values rest. We need time to be with the Lord, reconnect with loved ones, relax, enjoy God's creation, exercise, breathe deeply, and sleep!Technology enables us to work from anywhere at any time, but that doesn't mean we should. Creating margin in our work means getting enough rest to do our jobs “as unto the Lord” with purpose and energy. Staying late at the office or skipping vacations might make you look diligent, but the stress and broken relationships that follow are too high a price for professional progress. However, it's important to distinguish between proper rest and laziness. Laziness is choosing not to do what you're supposed to or doing the bare minimum. This goes against God's purpose for us, which involves good works. In his first letter to the Thessalonians, Paul advises the church to “…warn those who are idle and disruptive,” implying that inactivity can lead to trouble. The saying “Idle hands are the devil's workshop” is a testament to this idea. The Dangers of IdlenessIn 1 Timothy 5, Paul highlights other dangers of idleness, such as gossiping and leading others into sin. Idleness, unproductiveness, and laziness open the door to harmful habits. Contrarily, Proverbs 31 praises the “woman of noble character” for her hard work in caring for her family, running her business, training her workers, and providing for the poor. Verse 27 confirms that she “does not eat the bread of idleness.”Laziness can also mean spending too much time on unimportant activities like endless scrolling through Instagram or mindlessly shopping online. At its core, laziness is a failure to take care of responsibilities. Paul provides a stern example in 1 Timothy 5:8, stating, “Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.”If laziness tempts you, turn to Jesus in prayer. 1 John 1:9 assures us, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”Whether your issue is working too hard or hardly working, it's time to restore the margin in your work and finances. Do your work “as unto the Lord,” as Colossians 3:23 advises. And if you're feeling overwhelmed, find comfort in Jesus' words from Matthew 11:28: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”On Today's Program, Rob Answers Listener Questions:Where should I go to find a Certified Kingdom Advisor to get a referral for a godly estate planning attorney?I paid a capital gains tax a few years ago when I sold some stock. Welcome to Section 4a of Mike Winther's continuing lecture series on the Biblical Principles of Government. In this segment, Mike embarks on an examination of Samuel Chapter 8, focusing on the events following the Israelites' entry into the promised land, which was preceded by a significant 40-year period of wandering in the wilderness.  This period began after the Israelites sent spies to scout the land of Canaan, and, upon receiving a discouraging report, the majority chose not to trust in God's promise. Contrarily, only two spies, Caleb and Joshua, remained optimistic and faithful to God's guidance. Despite their positive report, the Israelites sided with the majority, leading to God's decree that they would wander in the desert for 40 years until a new, faithful generation arose. This lecture explores how, after finally entering the promised land, the Israelites experienced the period of the Judges, marking a shift towards a decentralized form of government. Mike highlights how scripture offers both spiritual lessons and insights into governmental principles, illustrating the times of righteous judges and kings. The discussion raises a critical question: Which form of government did God prefer? The answer, as Mike reveals, is found in Samuel 8.  Throughout the series, Mike shares numerous examples of scriptural passages that reflect political statements. He delves into the negative consequences of monarchical rule, the benefits of decentralized power, and strategies to limit the expansion of government. This episode promises to be an eye-opener, shedding light on the intricate relationship between biblical teachings and governance.   You'll Learn: [00:38] 1st Samuel chapter 8. The spies came back with a negative report and discouraged the children of Israel from wanting to take the Promised Land. [04:56] Caleb and Joshua were more optimistic because they knew they had got on their side. [05:45] 40 years later, they learned that the people they were going to attack were afraid of them because they had got on their side. [06:29] The period of the judges. This was a centralized government with a lot of leaders.  [08:35] There were periods of time when certain judges ruled and the people were righteous. There were more years of righteousness than people doing what was right in their own eyes. [09:26] There are far more righteous judges listed in Hebrews than there were righteous kings. [12:16] The colonists declared independence from the King of England in 1776 and restored God as the real king. [15:05] Curses of bad government. The king will take your sons and make them serve. He will take your daughters, the best of your fields, and your vineyards. Also a tenth of your grain and your vintage.  [19:41] No government would try to tax more than 9%. [21:21] There are a lot of passages of scripture that are actually political statements. [22:42] If you understand the sin nature of man you want decentralized power. [23:16] Civil government is bigger than it ought to be. [23:41] Ways to limit the expansion of government. [24:02] Understand the origins of rights and authority. God is the source of authority, we should go to scripture to find out what the government can and can't do. [26:34] Good laws limit government. The horizontal separation of powers. Isaiah 3:22. [33:19] The chasm between ideals and reality.  [35:22] What fuels the growth of government money and dependence. [38:31] We need a vision to not depend on the government. Oregon Supreme Court Rejects Attempt to Oust Trump from Ballot

Real News Now The Oregon Supreme Court decided not to entertain a lawsuit on Friday, aimed at barring ex-President Donald Trump from the state's primary and general elections in 2024. A group of five citiens from Oregon had initiated the legal action, with the intention of seeing Trump ruled ineligible for inclusion on the state's ballot. Their legal argument was founded on the provisions of the 14th Amendment's insurrection clause. These actions in Oregon were reflective of a broader climate of similar challenges confronting Trump's potential candidacy across several states. Parallel events unfolded in Colorado, with the state's top court ruling last month to exclude Trump from the electoral list. Unsurprisingly, this judgement was rapidly countered with an appeal from Trump's side. In recent developments, the US Supreme Court demonstrated willingness to take up the appeal against Colorado's decision. The ruling from the country's highest court could have fascinating domestic implications. In refusing the Oregon lawsuit, Chief Justice Meagan Flynn hinted at the unfolding events in Colorado. The Statesman Journal reported that Flynn had left an opportunity for the case against Trump's eligibility in the Oregon election to be reintroduced, the outcome hinging on the verdict from the U.S Supreme Court concerning the Colorado situation. The connection between these respective legal battles could form a decisive narrative in the lead up to the 2024 elections. Novemeber bore witness to comments from Oregon's Secretary of State, LaVonne Griffin-Valade. As a member of the Democratic party, she offered interesting insight into the autonomous powers of her role, stating that she lacked the authority to dismiss Trump's name from the ballot. Contrarily, this view was not shared by Maine's Secretary of State, Shenna Bellows. Bellows, another Democrat, reached a different conclusion in the parallel examination within her state. In her announcement last month, she declared Trump ineligible for position on the state's ballot. The divergent conclusions from these two state officials provide an excellent case study, illuminating the varying interpretations and applications of law across different regions. An interesting factor to consider is that the Supreme Court's final ruling on the Colorado case could substantially impact other states and shape the overall political landscape ahead of the 2024 elections. As it is clear, the court's decision won't just affect Colorado; other constituencies are watching closely as well. Particularly, certain groups in Illinois and Massachusetts have expressed similar intentions to prevent Trump's name from appearing on their ballots. According to the timeline, oral proceedings in the Supreme Court are set to commence on February 8th. This date arrives not long before the presidential primaries commence in several states, including Colorado, Maine, Massachusetts, and Illinois. These developments seem to be converging into a major watershed moment for American politics, where the potential inclusion or exclusion of a high-profile candidate could significantly shape voter perceptions. To close, it seems certain that for now Trump will remain an eligible candidate within Colorado, barring any adverse ruling from the Supreme Court. Collectively, these events could have sweeping implications not only for Trump's political future but also for the practical application of constitutional clauses throughout the country. So while the legal offensives and defensives continue, the 2024 contest is unequivocally becoming a hotbed of fascinating narratives. Where is true freedom to be found? How do we recognize it within the human person? The fathers of The Evergetinos reveal it to us in a powerful fashion by speaking to us once again about humility and the manner in which we respond both to insults and to praise.  Freedom comes from clearly seeing where true dignity and identity is found in ourselves and in others. We evaluate ourselves and others often by accidental qualities and external behaviors. As Christians, however, faith is meant to illuminate what we have become in Christ. We are called to something far greater than natural virtue. Grace builds on nature. Even the greatest kindness we could show another person or forbearance in the face of slight or insult is hardly recognizable and comparison to what our response must be in Christ.  With the incarnation life has forever changed as well as our understanding of love and mercy. We cannot allow ourselves the too easy freedom of loving or hating others merely because of what they do or say to us. The only way that we are allowed to respond to another is to love them.  This cannot be an abstract notion for us. We should believe it so deeply, embody it so fully, that “Contrarily, as though they entailed fearful death, the destruction of your soul, and eternal damnation, completely turn away from and despise all love of power and glory, and the desire for the various laudations of men“. I don't think there is a stronger way of stating this! --- Text of chat during the group: 00:45:29 Ambrose Little, OP: Powerful stuff!   00:45:51 Amale Obeid: I'm newly relearning the Christian faith so I apologize if this is off track but it seems to me that the every reaction that is caused between the world or another person and myself is what I take to the vertical of the cross - between me and God. The horizontal between me and others is for their service only.   00:49:49 Vanessa: Goes back to love God and love thy neighbor (that includes love our enemies).   00:57:42 Sean: Is no. 6 against nature, I mean man is hierchical by nature, like troops of apes   01:14:25 Rebecca Thérèse: It seems like sound advice to me and could protect people from abuse by narcissists who try to make others dependent on them for self-esteem. Also cults try to recruit people by love-bombing. Humility and level-headedness can protect from these things.   01:14:30 Amale Obeid: How do we actually practice this? Other than slowing down time so much to allow space for a slower reaction? Or do we ask God for this grace to recognize it immediately in the moment?   01:16:31 Rachel: I am thinking of how really truly seeing the other, and ourselves as living icons, realizing our dignity helps in a way to reign in inflated egos as we realize how it is a pure gift of God, It reigns in the anger that can rise up in reaction to mistreatment by the humbling reality of Whose image we are all made. Also, I wonder, how we approach God, and the Saints, if how we see God, the way we pray, the experience of our life in God affects how we react to praise or insult   01:18:27 Vanessa: Replying to "I am thinking of how..."   St. Francis of Assisi talks about how we can go beyond what is natural (feelings towards others) through love of God. Over the weekend, the current presidential administration has greenlit regulations that are primarily focused on decreasing the emissions of methane gas. Several policymakers and industry groups, however, perceive these regulations as presenting an unequal burden on smaller companies. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has put forth requirements for oil producers to modernize their operational machinery and to seek out potential methane leaks within their existing infrastructures. The goal of these actions is to manage methane emissions, a factor that the EPA cites as a crucial contributor to climate change. These regulations, while technically aimed at mitigation of greenhouse gas emission, have sparked concern among various stakeholders. The worry is that such mandates could inadvertently provide an advantage to larger oil companies, by being a burden that is easier for them to shoulder due to their vast financial resources. Contrarily, smaller oil producers could find themselves struggling to comply with these regulatory changes, given their comparatively limited resources. The argument here is that some of the lesser-scale oil producers don't have the same capital cushion or operational scale as the large oil corporations.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

In this enlightening conversation, host Elias Crum (Marketing Guys), chats with Kasper Sierslev, the CCO of Zite, an expert in managing in-house marketing teams. They delve into the intricate pros and cons of in-house marketing, providing comprehensive insight into this crucial subject matter. Drawing from his extensive experience and vast knowledge base, Sierslev candidly explores how the landscape of marketing has transformed over the years and how these changes impact businesses.   To give a nuanced understanding, Sierslev elaborates on both models – external agencies and in-house teams. He begins by discussing the drawbacks associated with external agencies and the reasons behind their diminished dominance over marketing and creativity. Contrarily, he also tackles criticisms about in-house teams accused of compromising on the principles of creativity-led marketing.   Moving on to the main discussion, Sierslev contends that while both models have their unique benefits, there's an alternative route businesses can take for an optimized marketing setup – a win-win house. Sierslev's newly launched book, aptly titled Win-Win-House, expounds on this concept in detail. It acts as a step-by-step guide for building an on-site agency while retaining collaboration with an external partner. The goal? Harnessing the advantages of both models simultaneously. The book and more details about this transformative approach can be found at win-win-house.com.   During the discussion, Sierslev underlines that in-house teams are a more viable option for scaling, shortening the time-to-market, and handling complex issues. In comparison, outsourcing proves beneficial only when employing specialist agencies or boutique firms, provided their skills align precisely with the required tasks. Sierslev stresses that opting for full-service agencies could be a misstep, as their effectiveness often wanes when they tackle a variety of tasks they might not excel in.   This principle resonates within the working philosophy at Zite. Here, Sierslev and his team customize a setup to meet the specific needs, ambitions, and market environment of individual companies. As he explains, no two businesses are the same, and there's no one-size-fits-all solution. Details about Zite's operations and Sierslev's experiences with creating tailored in-house agencies for various firms can be found at Zite.   Sierslev's recommendations don't stem merely from his role at Zite but are also grounded in a string of successes marked on his impressive resume, which can be viewed on his LinkedIn profile. Notably, Sierslev has spearheaded numerous award-winning marketing campaigns.    In a nutshell, this informative interview underscores the importance of devising an optimal marketing strategy tailored to an organization's unique needs. Sierslev's wealth of knowledge and Crum's incisive questions make it a must-listen for businesses looking to level up their marketing. This conversation empowers listeners to take a fresh look at their marketing strategies, encouraging them to balance creativity and practicality for a setup that reaps maximum benefits. Many environmental experts hypothesize that offshore wind development's use of sonar to map the ocean's floor prevents whales from communicating with one another and inhibits accurate navigation. You can read more about Orsted's decision here: https://www.politico.com/news/2023/10/31/offshore-wind-new-jersey-orsted-00124661 In response to Orsted's decision to cancel its planned wind development project off the coast of New Jersey, Governor Phil Murphy (D-NJ) released a statement critical of the Danish energy company: “Today's decision by Orsted to abandon its commitments to New Jersey is outrageous and calls into question the company's credibility and competence.”You can read the full statement here: https://www.nj.gov/governor/news/news/562023/approved/20231031a.shtml Congressman Scott Perry—Representative for Pennsylvania's 10th Congressional District & Chair of the House Freedom Caucus—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to discuss the House Republican plan to pass a stand-alone bill that would provide over $14 billion in aid to Israel. In the heart of Wichita, Kansas, a haunting shadow of the notorious BTK (Bind, Torture, Kill) killer, real name Dennis Rader, still lingers even after decades of his reign of terror. A recent episode of the podcast "Hidden Killers," hosted by Tony Brueski, delves deep into a hot topic: a potential link between Rader and a 1976 murder in Oklahoma. But instead of solving cold cases, what surfaces is a surprising turn of events involving clashing personalities, lawsuits, and politics.    During the discussion, Tony Brueski and guest Eric Faddis, a former Felony Prosecutor and attorney, analyze the current state of the investigation. Amidst the turmoil stands Sheriff Eddie Virden and District Attorney Mike Fisher, both holding conflicting opinions on the involvement of the BTK killer in the Oklahoma case.    Fisher recently commented on the lack of substantial evidence to tie Rader to the case. Contrarily, Virden is steadfast in his belief. In his commitment, he's even set up a nationwide task force with reputable investigative forces.    However, there's more to the story. Virden, known for his flamboyance and tendency to display evidence on television, is now suing DA Mike Fisher for libel. Fisher, a supporter of Virden's opponent in the upcoming elections, made what Virden calls "uninformed and ignorant comments" about his investigation into BTK. Virden's lawsuit, coupled with his constant quest for media attention, seems more like a personal vendetta than a quest for justice.    Eric Faddis sheds light on the dynamics, saying, "When I was a prosecutor... this is a conversation that is part of a law enforcement coalition in investigating a murder. Here, we have it very public." The publicized discord is alarming. With a lawsuit between law enforcement entities, a different prosecutor's office might have to be brought in. This could set the case back to square one.    The real question is: What does Virden gain by suing the district attorney? Faddis opines, "I think if there was something solid there, the district attorney would be all about it." All evidence points to old leads that don't solidify the connection to BTK. Yet, Virden's lawsuit, seemingly motivated by personal interests, could further hinder the investigation and prolong closure for the victim's families.    Faddis adds, "If this sheriff would have come to me with this idea, that likely would have been my response. In terms of bringing a lawsuit... he kind of likes the attention. He likes the publicity."    At the center of this turmoil, the forgotten voices are those of the victim's families. Eric Faddis, empathizing with their situation, highlights, "You have this atrocity that stole unfairly your loved one forever... and then, oh, it's completely screwed over by infighting amongst law enforcement entities." It's a gut-wrenching roller coaster for these families, with the very entities meant to bring them justice at loggerheads.    The underlying truth remains: the investigation into the BTK killer's potential connection to the 1976 Oklahoma murder is being overshadowed by the political chess game. Yet, the public can only hope that amidst the chaos, the truth surfaces.    As the case seesaws between truth and turmoil, one has to wonder: will justice be a casualty in the power dynamics of law enforcement? In today's episode, we're diving into the art of becoming the "uplifter" of your own life. Imagine that the actions and thoughts you have today are shaping the version of you ten years from now. Consider if the actions and thoughts of today are creating the future you desire. If the answer is "yes," you're on the right track. If it's a "no," it's time to reassess. Your daily actions and thoughts matter because they compound over time. The version of you in 10 years is a gift – a vision of the healed, expanded, and fulfilled self. It's a message from the universe or a higher power, showing you your purpose your highest value to the world. You're meant to grow into your desires, share your journey, and inspire others to heal and grow. The flow state occurs when you take knowledge and share it with others – it's like an abundance of energy. Contrarily, if you're always consuming and not giving, you're like a dam blocking the flow. Reflect on your day, make it exciting for the future version of yourself, and feel proud of your actions and thoughts. Remember, the vision you have of your future self is a gift. The more you work on it, the more the universe or a higher power aligns to make that vision a reality. Gratitude is expressed through your actions, how you treat yourself, present yourself, love, forgive, and give. Who you are today is likely a product of your mental and physical actions ten years ago. It's all about becoming and allowing the law of attraction to bring experiences that align with the version of you that you want to become. Now is the perfect time to create a positive vision for your future self. Envision your perfect day, the people around you, your activities, your feelings, your appearance. Once you know where you want to go, you can become the person you need to be to get there. It's not a chase; it's a transformation. Time is an illusion, and your journey is about becoming. Spend time creating this vision. Close your eyes, take deep breaths, and immerse yourself in the moment. Feel the ground, your hair, your body, and your thoughts in that future version of yourself. Does today's reality align with that vision? Are your thoughts and actions filled with gratitude, love, and dedication to your future self? Express your commitment and dedication to your future self by taking action, even when it's challenging. Be the rising tide that lifts all ships, and in doing so, you'll be on the path to becoming the person you aspire to be. - Henry -------------------------------- Request Coaching Info -------------------------------- Social Media Say hi on TikTok Say Hi on Instagram Facebook Group! -------------------------------- Email Me henry@vibeabundant.com -------------------------------- Email List --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/positive-mindset-podcast/support

What's Good Dimah Fam! Being a woman is synonymous with strength, resilience, and adaptability, though it often comes with its unique set of pressures and challenges, both physical and societal. Physiologically, women's bodies undergo a monthly cycle of hormonal changes, but the effects of this cycle extend beyond just the week of menstruation. The menstrual cycle is typically 28 days long but can vary between individuals. It comprises several phases, including the follicular phase, ovulation, the luteal phase, and menstruation. Each phase comes with its distinct hormonal fluctuations which can influence mood, energy, and overall well-being. For example, right after menstruation, many women enter the follicular phase where the hormone estrogen rises, leading to increased energy, optimism, and sociability. Contrarily, in the luteal phase, which comes before menstruation, progesterone dominates. This can lead to feelings of moodiness, irritability, or sadness for some. It's essential to recognize that this isn't just "one week of pain," but rather a continuous cycle of emotional and physical shifts. On top of these intrinsic biological changes, women face external societal pressures. The modern woman often juggles multiple roles - from being a career professional, a mother, a partner, to a caregiver. Each role carries its expectations and challenges. The expectation to excel at work while simultaneously being a doting mother, a loving partner, and an available friend can be exhausting. Moreover, there's the additional layer of cultural expectations. Depending on societal and familial norms, women might feel the pressure to get married by a certain age, have children, or prioritize family over personal ambitions. This is not to mention the ever-persistent standards of beauty and femininity that many women grapple with daily. In essence, being a woman is a complex interplay of hormonal, physical, and emotional challenges. It's a testament to their strength that despite these pressures, women worldwide continue to thrive, inspire, and lead. Understanding and acknowledging these pressures is the first step to supporting and empowering the women around us. We love and understand all of you! Thanks for listening!

Ezra: Fascinating ancient letters dramatize Israel's struggle with the ancient kings of the Medes and the Persians and with their neighbors. Why did God forbid the Jews from marrying their Gentile neighbors? Through Ezra the priest, God even commanded Israel to divorce their pagan wives. Contrarily, through the Apostle Paul, God commands Christians to stay married to unbelievers. Why did God issue different commands to Israel and the Body of Christ regarding divorce and marriage, what are the similarities, and what are the differences?   MP3-CD or MP3 download   BEL SUBSCRIPTIONS: Please consider one of our monthly subscriptions that will not only help support BEL, but they also promote better understanding of the Bible and may equip you to more effectively reach those around you. The final sets of reasons for my secularity

“Irreligion, the lack or rejection of religious beliefs or practices. Irreligion is a broad concept that encompasses many different positions and draws upon an array of philosophical and intellectual perspectives, including atheism, agnosticism, skepticism, rationalism, and secularism. These perspectives themselves are multifaceted, such that people who are irreligious may hold a wide variety of specific beliefs about religion or be related to religion in varied ways. Around the world, hundreds of millions of people do not identify with any religion, particularly in China, which is officially an atheist state. The term irreligion can be challenging to apply in specific circumstances and is frequently characterized differently depending on context. Surveys of religious belief sometimes use lack of identification with a religion as a marker of irreligion. However, this can be misleading, as in some cases a person may identify with a religious cultural institution while not actually holding the doctrines of that institution or participating in its religious practice. Some scholars define irreligion as the active rejection of religion, as opposed to the mere absence of religion. “ I learned that “Spare the rod, spoil the child”, “Trinity” “Denomination”, and “The Lord helps those who help themselves” are not in the Bible. “An interesting quote from the 1915 “Gospel Advocate” (Pg 589) says: “The word ‘Church' is really not a translation of any word that was used by either Christ or His Apostles, but is the Anglican form of a different word which Roman Catholicism substituted in place of the word used by Christ and His Apostles… It is in our english scriptures by order of King James, who instructed his translators of 1611 not to translate the word “Ecclesia” by either ‘Congregation' or ‘Assembly' but to use the word ‘Church' instead of a translation.” “What does the word “Church” mean and from where did it come from? The scriptures? No.” “The word “Church” is neither Hebrew nor Greek. In point of fact, when these languages were translated into English Bibles, the word “Church” was already in existence. The greek word used in the renewed covenant for “Church” is “Ekklesia” which basically means “Called Out ones”. Ekklesia does not refer to a building, but rather a group of people. Proper English translations should read: Congregation, Assembly or Group. Strangely in Acts 19:32, 39 and 41, Ekklesia is the word that is translated as “Assembly”, but in other passages, it is translated as “Church”. Jesus and His disciples never spoke the word religion. “The term religion comes from both Old French and Anglo-Norman (1200s AD) and means respect for sense of right, moral obligation, sanctity, what is sacred, reverence for the gods.[15][16] It is ultimately derived from the Latin word religiō. According to Roman philosopher Cicero, religiō comes from relegere: re (meaning "again") + lego (meaning "read"), where lego is in the sense of "go over", "choose", or "consider carefully". Contrarily, some modern scholars such as Tom Harpur and Joseph Campbell have argued that religiō is derived from religare: re (meaning "again") + ligare ("bind" or "connect"), which was made prominent by St. Augustine following the interpretation given by Lactantius in Divinae institutiones, IV, 28.[17][18] The medieval usage alternates with order in designating bonded communities like those of monastic orders: "we hear of the 'religion' of the Golden Fleece, of a knight 'of the religion of Avys'".[19] “From Middle English sinne, synne, sunne, zen, from Old English synn ("sin"), from Proto-West Germanic *sunnju, from Proto-Germanic *sunjō ("truth, excuse") and *sundī, *sundijō ("sin"), from Proto-Indo-European *h₁s-ónt-ih₂, from *h₁sónts ("being, true", implying a verdict of "truly guilty" against an accusation or charge), from *h₁es- ("to be"); compare Old English sōþ ("true"; see sooth). Doublet of suttee.” --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/antonio-myers4/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/antonio-myers4/support

We explore the dangers of society's expectation for us to live grandiose lives filled with lofty dreams and goals, often leading to overreaching and over-projection. Contrarily, we discuss how community cultures can lead to a better understanding of ourselves. In this episode, we critically assess the impact of traditions and their potential to divert our focus away from building the future we want. We emphasize the importance of understanding the driving forces behind our actions—our 'whys.' We discuss how I found my own 'why' and its transformational effect on my life. Sharing from personal experience, Erwin recount's how he established his life's mission statement three decades ago, seeking to be a voice of hope in a world seemingly drowning in hopelessness. Furthermore, we provide guidance on finding one's 'why' and the power it holds in giving our lives a gravitational core. We underscore that the 'why' can be found in what makes us feel most alive, what we cannot stop doing regardless of remuneration. Finally, we discuss the importance of elevating people's thinking, dispelling cliches and superstitions, and shedding light on dark thoughts. Tune in as we navigate the future together.

The meeting also discussed the dangers of limited knowledge and the potential for a small group of people to make decisions that affect millions. The importance of focusing on what is helpful for humans, rather than political fanaticism, was emphasized. The speaker encouraged listeners to seek truth and not judge themselves. Action itemsEncourage recognition of the value of art.Promote inclusivity in society.Advocate for adaptable systems.Seek truth and avoid political fanaticism.Avoid limited knowledge and decision-making by a small group of people.About Michaell AWARENESS TRUMPS EVERYTHING. When we become more conscious, the change will happen automatically.Being the best YOU that you can be for YOURSELF (not for the system) is the key that all will flourish.Understand what it means to be human. The earth and nature never need to be saved, but we have to become conscious otherwise we extinguish our humanity again.Be a steward of YOUR natural habitat. Avoid impacting nature so that it is impossible for our species to survive. We need to understand humans and our habitat nature are THE priority.Alter our man-made systems adequately to offer us safety and security. The functions that were correlated with family, tribe and systems from the beginning.Always keep raising OUR human potential (therein lies heaven on earth.) Biography I am an Austrian-Californian multimedia Artist. I became a creativity-awareness educator through my experience-based outside-the-box upbringing that I was forced into, through my neurodiversity.I am totally self-taught, author of 5 books, podcaster, speaker, guide, former Newport Beach CA Arts-Commissioner and co-produced with Robert Evans. Fluent in German and English. My ability is that I can see hidden contexts which allows me to resolve paradoxes and together we arrive at awareness solutions in leadership, hospitality, customer service, communication, success vs. fulfillment and obviously any form of creativity and culture.I separate each problem/solution in human and system relevancy, which allows all participants/host/listeners to become aware and align needs.Without creativity there are no man-made systems, there would be no world as we know it.I discover patterns within art/creativity that foster creative communication and identify art-values outside of any art-product. This perspective of looking at creativity this way brings humanity together, shows its limitlessness and raises our human potential.I discovered that there are three inherent human-superpowers that we all should be aware of:1. Creativity, 2. Healthy Dialogue and 3. Adaptability. All systems need to be adapted to this strategy because without humans there is no need for systems.Humans and living beings and nature must be THE PRIORITY to keep raising OUR human potential instead of wasting our lifeforce with man-made systems (therein lies heaven on earth.)Listen to my 30 second podcast THE SMART OF ART - The Power of Art and Creativity, where I induce conversations about this limitless superpower. The debate over what factors affect people's behavior and personality traits between nature and nurture is fierce. An individual's genetic makeup, which determines their personality and physical characteristics, is completely dependent on nature. Contrarily, nurture is influenced by the environmental elements to which a person is exposed, and which ultimately shape their personality. People are affected by both nature and nurture to some level since they are exposed to both in one way or another, which determines how they grow. Drew Weatherhead imparts his life's lessons, wisdom, and counsel to aspiring leaders. Life is a tapestry woven by the decisions we make. You must focus on making yourself better, not on thinking that you are better. Tune in as young leaders ask questions about life, personal growth, and more! Quotes: “Every single one of us has certain predispositions to our personality. It could be nature, or it could be nurture or even a blending of the two.” – Drew Weatherhead "I discovered that you have the ability to break yourself out of there. You have to take control of the reins of your own life.” – Drew Weatherhead “It's easier to say yes but the struggle won't be easier.” – Drew Weatherhead Takeaways: Because our experiences and environment shape how we perceive the world, we can alter how we see things by altering the experiences that make up our first impressions. You have an endless capacity to accomplish the impossible if you only strive, work hard, take charge of your future, stay loyal to yourself, and believe it is achievable. Never take the seemingly simple route out of a situation. After all, easy life is rarely meaningful, and meaningful life is rarely easy. Conclusion: Nobody in the world has the same personality as another. Even triplets or twins who are raised in the same environment have very diverse personalities. Also, a person's personality is a pattern of attributes along with the influence of the many people that became a part of your life no matter how small, rather than just a collection of their many traits. This personality characteristics aid in the prediction and justification of that person's actions. Despite these many influences, it is imperative that you have complete control over your own life. After all, we are completely responsible for everything that we do and will do.

The Rich Zeoli Show- Full Episode (03/27/2023): 3:05pm- On Friday, an estimated 8,000 gallons of water-soluble latex finishing solution spilled into Otter Creek in Bucks County, PA—near the Delaware River, where an estimated 58% of Philadelphia gets its water. According to The Philadelphia Inquirer, Philadelphia officials said tap water is safe to drink in the city through at least 11:59 p.m. Monday.” Read more here: https://www.inquirer.com/news/philadelphia/live/philadelphia-water-delaware-river-chemical-spill-20230327.html 3:40pm- With city officials concerned about the quality of water throughout Philadelphia, some are concerned about “price-gouging” by grocery stores—charging higher than usual prices for bottled water. In his famous 2004 essay, Stanford Economist Dr. Thomas Sowell writes: “Price controls will not cause new supplies to be rushed in nearly as fast as higher prices will.” Momentary increases in prices will encourage producers, and entrepreneurs in neighboring areas, to rush supplies to the impacted area. You can read Dr. Sowell's essay here: https://www.capitalismmagazine.com/2004/09/price-gouging-in-florida/ 4:05pm- Will abandoning free market principles result in a more egalitarian distribution of a scarce resource? No—it simply devolves into a “first-come-first-served” scenario. Contrarily, modest increases in prices during an emergency result in profit-seeking manufacturers and individuals to rush products to the impacted area. 4:15pm- With wind turbines estimated to be a $31.2 billion industry, no wonder government officials are disinterested in halting construction on a project that may have caused the deaths of over a dozen whales and at least one pod of dolphins along New Jersey beaches. 4:20pm- During his Senate confirmation hearing to become the next head of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Phil Washington was unable to answer any of Senator Ted Budd's (R-NC) basic aviation questions. The Biden nominee withdrew his candidacy on Sunday. 4:30pm- Rich takes your calls: one listener points out that in the absence of increased prices, problematic hoarding will take place. Chief Drake confirmed that the alleged shooter, who is now deceased, was 28 years old, identified as transgender, and was a former student at the school. 5:50pm- In a story published Friday, National Public Radio (NPR) argued that there is “limited scientific evidence that men have a physical advantage over women in sports.” You can read more about the story here: https://www.nationalreview.com/news/npr-claims-limited-scientific-evidence-men-have-physical-advantage-over-women-in-sports/?utm_source=recirc-desktop&utm_medium=blog-post&utm_campaign=river&utm_content=top-bar-latest&utm_term=fourth 6:05pm- Following Nashville Police Chief John Drake's press briefing, ABC anchor Terry Moran hypothesized that the alleged Covenant School shooter's motivation may be linked to Tennessee legislation banning “gender affirmation” surgeries. Chief Drake suggested that police have unearthed a manifesto created by the shooter. 6:15pm- During her Monday press briefing, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre stated: “How many more children have to be murdered before Republicans in Congress step up and act to pass the assault weapons ban?” 6:35pm- Political grandstanding: progressive district attorneys throughout the country are not prosecuting criminals. 6:50pm- While speaking with Congressman Mark Amodei (R-NV) during a recent House Appropriations Committee hearing, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen claimed that the reason people don't like the Internal Revenue Services (IRS) is because the governmental organization is too small.

Show Notes: God can handle our doubt & disbelief. He knows we are human and prone to doubt. He doesn't grow tired or needs a break from us or our problems. Mark 9:14-29 Jesus Heals a Boy Possessed By an Impure Spirit “ ‘If you can'?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes. Immediately the boy's father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!” Mark 9:23-24 NIV The definition of doubt is “to lack confidence, to consider unlikely.” How can we battle doubt in our relationship with God? Learn who God is and build a relationship with Him. Fill your mind with his promises. “Faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ” (Romans 10:17). The more we learn about the Lord the more our faith increases. Prayer stops doubt. God hears our prayers. When our prayers align with God's plan it will come to fruition. Luke 11:9-13 We can stand firm on the promises of the Lord. “But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord.” James 1:6-7 NIV Every human has limitations intellectually - therefore, our concept of the totality of the world, eternity, and God's plan is hard for us to understand. It is impossible to grasp fully without the word of God. Doubt comes from our sin nature: we trust in our own understanding—> doubt, which is a destroyer of life. Contrarily, faith is trusting God even when his plan goes against our reasoning & understanding. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/thefreedompodcast/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/thefreedompodcast/support
