In this episode, Rev Karla breaks down how we can release God from physical attributes and understand the experience of God to be the undefinable, the indescribable, and the unexplainable. We have humanized God through a patriarchal lens, but God is bigger than the image we created. Rev Karla talks about the many names for God in Christianity and religions all around the world. Rev Karla also discusses where we can find examples of the feminine power of the Divine in scripture and closes the episode with how God is revealed within ourselves. So, if God is all of these things, then God is black, gay, and female. You can read more from Rev Karla on this topic in her blog post. To dive deeper into the topics covered in today's episode, Rev Karla will be joined by Rev Arda in Numa Soul's first free class titled God is Gay. In this episode of the Find Your SPARK Podcast, Nicole Wilson and Stephanie Fox talk about May - Mental Health Awareness Month! Nicole and Stephanie discuss the importance of how SPARK approaches mental health in a way that pulls the health (SPARK) out of everyone, instead of putting bandages on peoples mental illnesses. We find it extremely helpful for those suffering with mental illnesses such as depression, anxiety, eating disorders, etc. to see that underneath the illness is REAL mental health waiting to be seen.  As long as we keep pointing to that, the seriousness of the illness tends to weaken naturally. We also share the importance of why this is true, FOR EVERYONE! The more we point to everyone’s health, the more it will start to peek through and people will start to see their own potential and capability to do the things they thought were impossible.

Today I am flying solo for my first Pynk Spots advice episode! I answer a question from Anonymous (she/her):My depression and anxiety have been exacerbated by quarantine. I’ve heard disassociating and disassociation in mental health communities but haven’t researched it much. In a conversation with a friend, I mentioned that I have been having a hard time and feel like I’ve been disassociating. She immediately told me that is not a term I should use for ‘zoning out’ (not what I said) because it’s a mental health condition that her sister has and it’s really serious and scary.I thought it was a broader term than the symptoms she described that her sister has so now I’m confused, and I’m also hurt that she felt the need to jump in and focus on that instead of being with me in a vulnerable moment. I often feel like a ghost when I’m alone for an extended period of time, or when I’m feeling very depressed I find myself disconnecting from how my body feels.I know you have talked about disassociating before and was wondering if you would be comfortable talking about your experiences and help me to understand if this is what is happening to me, as I don’t want to appropriate the term if it’s not. Also, am I right in feeling hurt about my friend taking that time to have an educational moment with me?We dig deep on disassociation, what it is and what it looks like, what causes us to disassociate, and I give a lot of personal testimony along the way.ResourcesDr. Devon Price's Essay "Therapy Isn't For Everyone" (Medium.com)Dissociation and dissociative disorders (mind.org.uk) Dissociation And Dissociative Disorders (Mental Health America)Dissociation FAQs (International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation)- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Love the show!? (“Ecclesia”) Acts 1:8-9 “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” After saying this, he was taken up into a cloud while they were watching, and they could no longer see him. Acts 2:42-47 All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord's Supper), and to prayer. A deep sense of awe came over them all, and the apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders. And all the believers met together in one place and shared everything they had. They sold their property and possessions and shared the money with those in need. They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord's Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity- all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people. And each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved. 4 Things the Church Does…. 1. Performs signs and wonders 2. Gives generously 3. Worships together 4. Keeps growing Romans 10:12-14 Jew and Gentile are the same in this respect. They have the same Lord, who gives generously to all who call on him. For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? Discussion Questions 1)What creative way would you tell the world about Jesus? 2) Which of the 4 do you love the most about our church? 3) Consider how you shared life with your church community before the Coronavirus. Could you step deeper into your church community? How? 4) How do you feel about telling people about Jesus? Share about a time you told someone how Jesus changed your life. 5) Are you willing to make the commitment to Jesus, to love, share, and forever build his church? If not, what scares you about sharing the Gospel message?

I'd love to meet you in the group.   Important Events 1617  Today is the anniversary of the death of the 17th-century Italian botanist Prospero Alpini. Alpini introduced coffee and bananas to Europe. Alpini was also the first person to make observations about sexual differences in plants. The male and female flowers of the date palm, for instance, are borne on separate plants. This knowledge allowed Alpini to become the first person to fertilize the female flowers of the date palms artificially. Date palms were popular garden plants in Roman gardens. The fruit is very useful and is the basis for syrup, alcohol, vinegar, and liquor. The genus "Alpinia", belonging to the order Zingiberaceae (Ginger Family), is named for Alpini. Alpinia is also known as the ginger lily. Ginger lilies are perennials and the blooms have a gardenia fragrance. Ginger lilies are a wonderful cut flower.   1822  On this day in 1822, Joseph Sabine ("Suh-BEEN") gave a presentation to the London Horticultural Society. He was describing some new varieties of Chinese chrysanthemums. Eleven different kinds of mums had been imported two years earlier, in 1820, and had been thriving in the society's garden at Chiswick. In 1753, Carl Linnaeus, renowned Swedish botanist, combined the Greek words chrysos, meaning gold with anthemon, meaning flower. Chrysanthemum (Dendranthema grandiflora) is the birth flower for November. In Japan, the highest Order of Chivalry is the Imperial Order of the Chrysanthemum. And National Chrysanthemum Day, aka the Festival of Happiness, has been celebrated in Japan since 910. Chrysanthemum Day is always celebrated September 9th - the ninth day of the ninth month because, in terms of numerology, that day, September 9th, is regarded as an auspicious day. Now, when Joseph Sabine described the Quilled Pink Chrysanthemum in detail for the London Horticultural Society, members had only heard about the Quilled Flamed Yellow variety. The Quilled Pink was exciting. Sabine, would not even recognize modern mums. Although some mums still look like their sister flowers, daisies, mums are being bred to be showier. Regardless of their appearance, mums belong to the Compositae, or daisy, family. And, there's another highlight for Joseph Sabine. He was serving as the Secretary of the Horticultural Society and is remembered for sending David Douglas on his 6-month expedition to North America. Douglas named the Digger Pine, Pinus Sabiniana, in honor of Joseph Sabine.   1783  Today is the anniversary of the death of the renowned landscape gardener Lancelot Capability Brown. In the 1730s, Lancelot ended up at Stowe, working for the great William Kent - the eminent painter and Landscape Architect. The garden at Stowe was a landscape garden with lots of straight lines and formality. The end result was a garden that looked like a painting with an 11-acre lake. The main area of the garden was the Elysian Fields ("uh·li·zhn"); 40 acres featuring buildings and monuments that flank two narrow lakes called the River Styx. The monuments in the garden honor virtuous men of Britain. The time Lancelot spent with Kent at Stowe transformed not only the land but also Lancelot - from a gardener to a Landscape Architect. It was his big break, and it gave him the confidence to set out on his own. After Stowe, Lancelot traveled all over England. When working for clients, he would stare out at the blank canvas of a new project and seek to find the "capabilities" of the Landscape - removing worker's cottages or older gardens when he felt the need to do so. It earned him the unshakeable nickname of Capability. Capability Brown's skill of seeing landscapes and then creating them made him very popular. Everyone with means wanted a Capability Brown landscape - they craved his signature look, his garden designs, and garden temples. What everyone essentially wanted was beauty -  and Capability created beautiful gardens. For 19 years, Capability served as the King's Master Gardener. Today, at least 20 Capability gardens still exist and are under the care of England's National Trust. When Lancelot died, the English writer Horace Walpole, sent word to the noblewoman Anne FitzPatrick that, "Lady Nature's second husband," was dead. He also sent a poem about Capability to the poet and gardener William Mason: "With one Lost Paradise the name Of our first ancestor is stained; Brown shall enjoy unsullied fame For many a Paradise, he regained."   1946  The botanist Edgar Anderson wrote to his student Charles B Heiser Jr: "Oh stamp collecting, when will taxonomists ever take any interest in being biologists? Once, when I traveled with E.J. Palmer, I went to a good deal of trouble to get a whole sheet of lily pods, and he threw it away because it made such a nasty looking specimen, and he wasn't certain what species it belonged to anyway." It turns out, this was just one of many letters that Edgar wrote to his student. In 1972, Charles wrote a lovely tribute about Edgar called "Student Days with Edgar Anderson or How I Came to Study Sunflowers." Charles sifted through the many letters he had received from Edgar during his lifetime - they filled up a folder over two inches thick. Over the years, Edgar was an encouraging mentor to Charles, writing, "What an incredible gift good students are…" and "if you are tired of [Helianthus] and don't want to look at 'em any more for a while, why by all means put them aside. Don't let anybody's advice, including mine, keep you from what you are happiest doing." Sunflowers or Helianthus Annuus ("HE-LEE-ann-thus ANN-you-us") are native to North America. When the Russian Tsar, Peter the Great, saw sunflower for the first time in Holland, he fell in love with them and had them brought back to Russia. The Russian public loved sunflowers as well -  but not just for their happy flowers.   Unlike other cooking oils, the oil from sunflower seeds was approved for use during Lent by the Russian Orthodox Church. By the early 1800s, two million Acres of sunflowers for planted in Russia every single year. Ironically, over the next century, immigrants from Russia would bring sunflower seeds with them when they immigrated to the United States. The Russian hybrids had bigger blooms than the original American varieties.  Now, most gardeners attempt growing sunflowers at some point, so if you find yourself wanting to give it a try, here are some tips to consider: First, sunflowers really do need a ton of sun. Don't be stingy with the sunshine and put them in part shade. These are plants that really appreciate all the rays they can get. Second,  Sunflowers follow the sun; they exhibit a behavior known as heliotropism.  In the morning, the heads will face East, and then the heads will move to track the sun throughout the day.  As they mature, they're tracking movement will become less pronounced as the stem loses its flexibility in order to support the large, mature bloom. Third, don't be surprised if you find a few sunflowers reseeding themselves in your garden after your initial planting. It's a lovely surprise and a little memento from that first batch of sunflowers. Finally, once the seeds ripen, the birds will begin to visit, and you'll notice more activity from species like goldfinches -  they love sunflower seeds. If you feel inclined, you can dry some of the seed heads to share later with the birds during the cold months of winter.   Unearthed Words Here are some words about the winter mindset: Laughter is the sun that drives winter from the human face. — Victor Hugo, French poet, and writer   Winter is on my head, but eternal spring is in my heart. — Victor Hugo, French poet, and writer   The tendinous part of the mind, so to speak, is more developed in winter; the fleshy, in summer. I should say winter had given the bone and sinew to Literature, summer the tissues and blood.  — John Burroughs, American naturalist, and writer, "The Snow-Walkers," 1866   Winter blues are cured every time with a potato gratin paired with a roast chicken. — Alexandra Guarnaschelli ("GORE-nah-shell-ee"), American chef   Keep your faith in beautiful things; in the sun when it is hidden, in the Spring when it is gone. And then you will find that Duty and Service and Sacrifice—  all the old ogres and bugbears of —  have joy imprisoned in their deepest dungeons! And it is for you to set them free — the immortal joys that no one —  No living soul, or fate, or circumstance— Can rob you of, once you have released them. —  Reverend Roy R. Gibson, Poet & Critic   Many human beings say that they enjoy the winter, but what they really enjoy is feeling proof against it. — Richard Adams, English novelist, Watership Down   To many forms of life of our northern lands, winter means a long sleep; to others, it means what it means to many fortunate human beings - travels in warm climes. To still others, who again have their human prototypes, it means a struggle, more or less fierce, to keep soul and body together; while to many insect forms, it means death. — John Burroughs, American naturalist, and writer   Grow That Garden Library Wildlife Gardening by Kate Bradbury The subtitle to this book is: For Everyone and Everything (The Wildlife Trusts) An easy-to-follow gardening guide endorsed by the Wildlife Trusts and the RHS to help you encourage different types of wildlife into your garden. Kate Bradbury is an award-winning writer who specializes in wildlife gardening. She is the author of The Bumblebee Flies Anyway, she works on BBC Gardeners' World magazine and regularly writes for the Daily Telegraph and the Guardian to name a few. What I love about Kate's book is that she breaks it down by groups of species, and each chapter explains what they require to thrive, what their role in the garden is, and how they contribute to the garden ecosystem. Chapters cover pollinators, birds, and amphibians, wasps, flies, and so on - some will be your favorites, while others will be new to you. Kate offers many plant suggestions. And, don't forget that your garden is a shared space. It's for you AND these other species. Kate hopes you are able to observe the habitats in your garden throughout the year. Ultimately, this is a book about creating a space that's as much for you to relax in as it is for the other species you welcome into it, and about getting to know the wildlife around you. You can get a used copy of Wildlife Gardening by Kate Bradbury and support the show, using the Amazon Link in today's Show Notes for under $13.   Great Gifts for Gardeners Ladbrooke Genuine Mini 4 Hand-held Soil Blocker - Most Popular Soil Blocking Tool! $33.99 Genuine Ladbrooke "Mini 4" soil blocker is the most popular size worldwide. I ran across a little story that involved loganberries. Loganberries (Rubus loganobaccus) grow on vines known as brambles. They smell like raspberries, but they are tart and they have a slightly sweet taste. Loganberries are named for their California creator, James Harvey Logan, who came up with the idea to cross a Blackberry with a raspberry. Sadly loganberries don't have a long shelf life which is why you don't see them in the grocery store very often. If you decide to grow them, most people keep the berries on the vine as long as possible - which makes them more flavorful. Anyway, this talk on loganberries brings me back to Charles Heisler's tribute to Edgar, which was titled "Student Days with Edgar Anderson or How I Came to Study Sunflowers." Charles ended his tribute to Edgar with this adorable little story that included Loganberries among other things and it reminds us that botanists are people too. Charles wrote: "I haven't told you anything about [Edgar's] music sessions. He played the recorder. Nor about the square dances at the 'Barn.' Nor about his cooking. I think one of the worst dishes I have ever eaten was his spam covered with bread crumbs soaked in Loganberry juice —  perhaps because he raved about it so. I hope [to have given you] some insight into the character of Edgar Anderson, teacher, and botanist. The latter is the title he chose for himself and his later years at the Missouri Botanical Garden."

Happy New Years to all of our listeners out there! For today's episode of the Ecomcrew podcast, I have a chat with Paul Rafelson about the Online Merchant's Guild and any updates that came to fruition within the last year. Other than that, we go over various topics that will definitely interest online sellers within the US such as several tax issues, why you should join the Guild, and the influx of China sellers within Amazon. If you're new to the podcast and haven't heard about the Online Merchant's Guild, it is a non-profit organization that gives sellers the opportunity to voice out their concerns on various legal issues, with an aim to make the business climate better for online sellers, whether on Amazon or on their own Shopify site. In our last podcast episode with them, we talked about Sales Tax — why it's such a complicated subject, the various states’ position on Sales Tax, and why it led to the birth of the Guild in the first place. I highly encourage all of our listeners, whether you're a seller on Amazon or on your own Shopify site, to join the Online Merchant's Guild, because while we are used to solving various legal problems on our own, this is just something that we can't do by ourselves; it will be costly and ineffective. We need to grow our strength in numbers and support each other to make this online business climate better for sellers. As always, here are the topics that Paul and I go over with timestamps:  Recap over the last year — (5:19) The Impact of the Online Merchant’s Guild — (7:56) The Issue of Back Taxes — (9:16) Income Taxes and the States that Enforce Them — (11:02) The Landscape of Taxes Today — (15:41) Why You Should Join The Online Merchant’s Guild  — (19:31) Addressing the Influx of Chinese Sellers on Amazon — (20:19) The Promise of Online Merchant’s Guild — (25:06) The Guild is For Everyone, Not Just Amazon Sellers — (28:59) Aiming for Amazon Independence — (29:49) If you want more information on the Online Merchant's Guild, feel free to send us an email at support@ecomcrew.com or visit their website to start making a change today. Learn more at StreetSmartWealth.com Also, are you in my facebook group? streetsmartwealthschool.com  School has started for many and fall, which is a busy, productive time in Network Marketing if you’ll MAKE it that way, is headed straight at us. NOW, is the time to prepare your calendar and your productivity plan to make the most of it. So, let’s talk about how to Take Control of Your Calendar and Get Productive What You’ll Learn from this Episode: Your Clear Vision For Your Life and Business Your Calendar Getting Intentional With Your Calendar Social Media Consistency Manage Your Productivity Your Clear Vision For Your Life and Business One of the questions I am asked most frequently with my coaching and at events is how do I, personally stay on top in my business, continuing to create the lifestyle and income I want.  The answer is VERY simple and nothing magical - I stay in VERY consistent action. My calendar is scheduled, my priorities are set, and I know each day what I am going to do for that day. I follow a very rinse and repeat system and don’t allow my self to get bogged down when things don’t show up right away or when there are dry spells. Peaks and valleys happen. For Everyone! More than ANYTHING - my decision about WHAT I want is made; my vision is CLEAR; my belief is BUILT and I ACT! And, I practice gratitude for all that I have NOW, and all that is headed my way. I know you have it within you to achieve what you want. You deserve it. In fact, no one deserves it MORE than you.  When you launched your business, you in essence took out a promissory note - a note from the Bank of the Universe. You have a dream about your income goals, which translate to your lifestyle goals, right? Now, how to make that happen is the question, right? Your calendar will tell you what you are currently committed to. Actions always distinguish your true commitments. Not your words. Talk is cheap. Make sure your words are valuable... Once you’ve decided what you want, it doesn’t matter how many times you stumble or how long it takes. It is DONE. You just have to catch up. No need to re-think it. You will achieve this! You may fall 99 times but you’ll get up 100. You’ll keep pressing toward your goal because your decision is non-negotiable. That’s a clear and powerful place to be. “Either you run the day or the day runs you.” — Jim Rohn Your Calendar You are going to get committed to your calendar and blocking out times in it for actually working your business. If it's not on the calendar, it's not going to happen, and you won't ever FIND time, you must MAKE time. For the next week, keep a journal of how you spend ALL of your time. EVERY minute, and be honest. Facebook, TV, surfing the web, phone time, idle time. Success is not about huge chunks of time but rather small pockets of opportunity. Most people fail with exercise and health goals because they take the “All or nothing approach.” This is a big mistake. Learn the “Slight Advantage” philosophy. Small changes or habits, consistently practiced, create transformation. 15 Minutes can change your life. It has for me in terms of sculpting my body with 15-30 minutes daily of yoga or weight workouts.  First, get a daytimer/calendar that has plenty of room to write stuff in. If you are going to build it big, you need SPACE to fill with activities. Block off EVERYTHING that is non negotiable – work, church, car pool, kid and family activities. Now you have time slots to work with to schedule in your business activities. Determine what the income producing activities are that you need/should be doing daily to move your business forward. Email and Social Media, conference calls (listening to recordings) do NOT count. First Time Calls; Follow Up Calls; 3 Way Calls; Training; Networking Events; Follow Up after these (block time in calendar BEFORE!) Block time slots each day in your calendar for this FIRST. Working – lunch and short breaks; evenings. Starbucks or the parking lot. Block in times weekly/monthly for social media activities such as blog posts, live and video shoots, etc. Track your activities in a simple 3 ring binder or spiral notebook. Just write the date, and what you did/who you called/spoke with about your business. This will tell you why you are or are not successful. Determine your most productive/awake times of the day. Get committed and disciplined to check email 2-3 times daily, and not during productive time.  Don't answer the phone during Your Time. Only be on Facebook/Social Media 5 five to fifteen minute time slots daily. Use dead time spots for this while out and about with your mobile phone. Get in the habit of creating quick videos on your iPhone or smart phone; taking pictures of lifestyle, team events, etc. These are great for social media and your blog/site. Let go of perfection. Know what you are willing to give up in the short term to create what you want for the long term. Get kids involved as you can, in helping with your business and carrying their own weight around the house. Getting Intentional With Your Calendar Success starts with small steps and getting those small steps on your calendar go much further to making sure they are completed. What’s on the calendar gets done. A favorite mantra of mine. I’ve mentioned my commitment to 10,000 steps daily so this involves a walk first thing in the morning and positioning my daily action so to works for me. It clears my mind, or mental clutter, from focusing on it not being done yet. Then, I have a clear mind to focus on my business actions. Those consist of - Contacts Marketing Follow Up Content Creation - for marketing as well as my products. Workshops - live and online  Everything pretty much falls into one of those categories. So, my calendar reflects time blocks for each area each week, where necessary. How does your calendar look?  Easy to do, and easy not to do. There are no shortcuts, but then do you really need a shortcut? Build momentum as you grow your own consistency chain. Understand the power in your calendar and those single daily and weekly actions. Understand the timeline of success. Understand your philosophy, and the reality of CTFAR, and how it affects you. In order for things to change, YOU have to change. And, be the catalyst for your own change. Start now. Today. Don’t wait. ——- SOCIAL MEDIA Don’t let Social Media derail your business efforts. It’s meant to be an asset, not a liability. Develop a Daily/Weekly Strategy that takes about 30 minutes daily. Social Media does NOT have to be overwhelming, if you have a plan and a strategy. Like any other aspect of your business - PLAN it. Don’t forget it or disregard it. Social Media is no longer regarded as a Fad, or something you can dabble with. Well, of course you MIGHT choose to do this, but why?  Get my free content resource at content.StreetSmartWealth.me It’s the easiest way to stay top of mind with your Center of Influence. Here are some things to get clear on FIRST - the ABC’s -  Audience and Awareness- who is your ideal client. Ideally, create 3 specific targeted avatar’s. Get VERY specific. When you speak to everyone you speak to no one. Create awareness through your content. What’s Your Brand - more than colors and logos - WHO are you? What do you offer, or more specifically what solution do you provide to what challenge? From that, how will you create messaging that speaks to your ideal client. Content and connection - your content should be centered around your Brand and Your Ideal Client Avatars. And should be an 80/20 mix - not just all selling or business. Using Your Values and Mission is a great place to start. My 5 F words - almost EVERYTHING fits into one of those buckets. This way, I never struggle with content. And, I connect and engage regularly with those who are my target audience. Daily Strategy - Map out your plan, Seriously, plan it out. EXECUTE the strategy and stay consistent. It’s not designed to be an occasional thing - out of sight, out of mind. Follow Up - Take it OFFLINE regularly. Social Media is a piece of it and it’s strong, but be real and in person too. Get in their mailbox; get in their phone, and text. Invite them to events, and things you see that will benefit them Choose your platforms. You don’t have to be everywhere. My main 4 - FaceBook, InstaGram, LinkedIn, YouTube - and I’ve been on all of these sites since the beginning mostly, so if you are just getting launched, pick one or two. When my business thrives, I can look back in my calendar and in my Social Media activity and see one common thread - consistency. When my business has floundered, I can look back in my calendar and in my social media activity and see one common thread - lack of consistency. For most of us, in our solopreneur business, we need to be doing a few things ongoing - Finding people to add to our database. This means more than just plopping in names. It means meeting, engaging, building rapport and the start of a relationship; connecting on Social Media and expanding the relationship. Learning as much as I can about them; learning how I might be supportive and then opening the door to share my business and product offerings. Not just for them, but also for anyone they may feel comfortable referring my way. IT’s about building that really solid Top 100 COI. It’s follow up; and follow through; adding value in person, through direct mail; through Social Media and in ways that matter to them and make them feel special; appreciated; like more than a number. So I’ve come up with my own acronym for how I run my business and what’s important in it - BAMF - check the urban dictionary for another definition. I might start using the hashtag, just saying  Branding Audience Marketing Follow Up So, each day and each week I have to look at what I’m doing in each of these areas to be successful. What areas have you defined for your business? Consistency Get that calendar out; get serious, focused and committed and each day that you take that one action, write it on the calendar and begin to build that consistency chain for yourself. You’ve likely heard this before - One of the greatest predictors of the ability to succeed in life is persistence:“stick-to-it-ness” and it’s that attitude and personal culture and commitment that allows one to get through the inevitable challenges and obstacles that await us on the road to success. When we take a closer look at what’s really happening during the journey to success,  we quickly realize that success is anything but a straight line. It’s more a like a windy road of twists, turns, ups and downs, and testing and trying. It’s only when you become aware of all of those tangles and all the ups and down – it’s only when you can see what was really involved – that it becomes obvious what the real key to success really is. And that key is persistence; successful people don’t give up. They don’t view failure as a final curtain call; they view it as just another twist in the maze. They chalk it up to experience, learn whatever they can from it, and then they move on and try again. They don’t let fear, frustration, or wounded pride give them an excuse to quit. Things to think about - where are you falling short? Where are you persistent? Where do you only take it half way? Where do you procrastinate? If you were to write out a short, one page action plan of what you business requires for success, how does it line up with your calendar for the last few months? I’ve spent a lot of time myself over the last few months evaluating my own business, from start to now; what’s worked and where I have struggled and why. Consistency, laser focus and knowing what to say yes to, what to say no to, and what to take action on each day is key. I’ve laid out my clear plan for the future and I am excited about it. Here are some steps to take to be more consistent - Get clear. Get focused. And, by that, I mean TODAY. Today. Write down something you can do each day to move your business forward. Just one thing. And, make a commitment to do it TODAY It’s about letting go of tomorrow and focusing ONLY on today and the top priority for you today, in your business. IT’s about building that consistency chain and being committed to not breaking it. Manage Your Productivity What’s in your action plan?  What’s on the calendar? What’s between your ears? What’s it going to take? If it’s not on the calendar, its not going to happen or put out slightly differently, what’s on the calendar gets done.  So you have to make a time in your calendar for your income producing activities to move your business forward. Absolutely have to, and I say make a time as you never going to find a time. None of us do. Is not you got the time  around, everybody is busy.  You are no exception. Everybody is busy. Doesn’t matter what profession you are in. You’re most likely building a side hassle to begin with maybe not, or your building this is as primary business but you have many other obligations so does everybody else. So you have to manage your productivity.  And one other of piece of that is managing what is going on between your ears.  There is one place of your business is difficult and that is between your ears. —- Close and CTA I started with this and I’ll end with this - Once you’ve decided and committed to what you want, it doesn’t matter how many times you stumble or how long it takes. It is DONE. You just have to catch up. No need to re-think it. You will achieve this! You may fall 99 times but you’ll get up 100. You’ll keep pressing toward your goal because your decision is non-negotiable. That’s a clear and powerful place to be. Remember - decision, commitment, action, consistency - this is what provides the results you desire. That’s it. That is REALLY it. The most powerful thing I ever did for my business when I was struggling to get from zero to hero was to hire a coach. Someone who has been where I was, and has gone to where I want to go. I have 3 coaches right now for my business.  I would love to explore a coaching partnership with you, if you are struggling. Let’s schedule a break through call to see if we might be a fit. I love taking people with goals like mine from struggle to six figures, easily, and with joy in building something they love and that resonates with who they are and their values. On November 1st, 2008, a 9-page whitepaper found its way online. Titled "Bitcoin: A Peer-To-Peer Electronic Cash System," the whitepaper's author clearly articulated their goal to create a decentralized digital currency. The only catch was: this author, named "Satoshi Nakamoto," was a complete unknown. Whoever they were, they had registered a domain for "bitcoin.org" in August of that year, and the publication of this whitepaper predated the official launch of Bitcoin by a mere two months. In the decade since, Bitcoin has grown to be the world's leading cryptocurrency. However, its founder remains a complete enigma, despite becoming one of the wealthiest individuals in the entire world... Written, hosted, and produced by Micheal WhelanSpecial thanks to the host of the podcast Swindled for their participationLearn more about this podcast at unresolved.meIf you would like to support this podcast and others, consider heading to patreon.com/unresolvedpod to become a Patron Music CreditsVitus Von Degen - "Black Gloves"ROZKOL - "To the Water's Edge"Chris Zabriskie - "Air Hockey Saloon"ROZKOL - "Happiness, Free, For Everyone, and Let No One Be Forgotten"Chris Zabriskie - "Oxygen Garden"Graham Bole - "Nae Shaam"Artem Bemba - "Respiratory Waves"BOPD - "New England is Interesting"ROZKOL - "Cold Breath in the Alleyway"Blear Moon - "Cold Summer Landscape"ROZKOL - "Turn the Whole World to Rust"Ailsa Traves - "Unresolved Mysteries"
