PART ONE The latest chapter in Paul and Scott's fierce disagreement over perfect rhyme versus slant rhyme in lyrics PART TWO Our in-depth conversation with Lukas Graham ABOUT LUKAS GRAHAM The multi-Grammy-nominated artist Lukas Graham came to international prominence in 2016 with the song “7 Years,” an anthemic piano ballad that topped the charts in multiple countries and was certified 12-times platinum by the RIAA in the United States. The self-titled album on which it appeared, known to fans as the Blue Album, was also certified Platinum. The Danish artist has built a career spanning five albums, with hits including “Love Someone,” which was certified platinum in 18 countries. His work blends soul, pop, and deeply personal storytelling, exploring themes of family, love, and resilience — from the loss of his father to becoming one himself. Strong Men Create Good Times Every parent wants to provide a better life for their child. Those that worked to build a business or family wealth want their work and sacrifice to benefit their family for generations. Unfortunately, the statistics tell a different story. The process of how family generational wealth collapses is very similar to the process of how a civilization collapses.  We break this down into 3 stages, compare them between families and societies, and talk about the characteristics at each level. It is easy to see these characteristics appearing in our everyday life as we move through the process. It is our mind and our choices that determine our outcome even more than external factors. What can we do to plan, prepare, or prevent the negative circumstances that affect citizens and families? We also talk about what you as an individual or parent can do to thrive in the midst of chaos. You choose what you learn and who you become. Make the choices that will make your world a better place! How can we feel more moments of joy? Explore how joy is rooted in connection, gratitude, and paying attention to the people and moments that bring meaning to our lives.Summary: Did you know that joy isn't just something we feel, but something we practice? On this episode of The Science of Happiness, poet Ross Gay shares how connection and attention can help us cultivate more joy, while psychologist Philip Watkins explains how gratitude can amplify that feeling. Learn how hanging out, noticing moments of connection, and reflecting on joyful experiences can help bring more joy into your life. How To Do This Practice:  Notice connection: Pay attention to the people, places, animals, and natural world that make you feel connected. Make time to be together: Look for opportunities to hang out, share experiences, and spend time with others without an agenda. Pay attention to the small moments: Notice everyday interactions and moments of goodness that you might otherwise overlook. Share your joy: Tell someone about something that delights you, celebrate good moments together, or help someone else carry their joy. Savor what feels good: When you experience joy, pause and let yourself fully appreciate and celebrate the moment. Reflect with gratitude: Think or write about a joyful experience and what it meant to you or how it made you feel connected. "Tuff" (yes, spelled T-U-F-F) already made its comeback thanks to Gen Alpha, and honestly it earned it.**What Got the Boot:**"Bogart" got a polite pass. "Shine it on" offended Jay personally. "Peel out" led to a replacement suggestion that we cannot repeat here but that had the boys in stitches.**The Wild Card:**“Heat” as slang for the cops sparked a full debate, a public service announcement, and a reference to the Val Kilmer and Robert De Niro movie. Jay prefers "popo." This is canon now.The toast? Pure Jay chaos under pressure. The ending? Pure Shayne chaos under pressure. It all came together like a hairy situation that somehow resolved itself.Come back next round, beer hearts. You can dig it.~~~~~~~Disclosure: I don't really have a house elf. Artie is AI. Get it? This is 40, and it's not long into this landmark episode before Everton's dubious title credentials are all dead.Joe Royle always enjoyed a Derby win as manager, but the Barmby-inspired smash and grab at the Baseball Ground will be the Toffees' last away league win for over a year, and Royle's final one as gaffer.Come March, Joe, or "Moosehead" as he's been affectionately named by a couple of Kev's rogue uncles, is on the march and Peter Johnson faces a Sophie's choice of giving the caretaker role to prankster Dave Watson or the potty mouthed Neville Southall. They said no to Flo so Joe chose to go.Not many wins in Part 2 then (not for Everton anyway) but still plenty of excitement - a player/manager in charge, a fight in the Goodison derby, a star player who may or may not be in debt to the Russian mafia. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Grammy® Honoree, Hollywood Walk of FameLet's Celebrate Rock & Roll Hall of Fame IHonoree Robert " Kool" Bell & Kool & The Gang! Robert's NEW Brand is.  La Kool. lKool had always envisioned having his own brand out of Europe. For many years, he sought out Grand Cru Vineyards from owners that have been selling for generations and decided to work with Paul Berthelot, a Multi-Vintage Grand Cru Producer since 1884. Kool & the Gang, officially launched in 1969, after performing for five years under various band titles, has influenced the music of three generations and the band has become true recording industry legends. Thanks to iconic songs like Celebration, Cherish, Jungle Boogie, Summer Madness and Open Sesame, they've earned two Grammy Awards, seven American Music Awards, 25 Top Ten R&B hits, nine Top Ten Pop hits and 31 gold and platinum albumsIn 1969, Kool & the Gang released their self-titled debut album/ It was the introduction to a theme, music is the message, that Kool & the Gang stands by today. The instrumental album was an expression of their deep love of music. It was also an introduction to their signature sound and the fierce horn arrangements created by Khalis, Dee Tee, and Spike. Their debut album spawned their first Billboard R&B charted single Kool & the Gang and later Let the Music Take Your Mind. In 1970, their audacious sophomore set Live at the Sex Machine peaked at #6 on Billboard's R&B chart and yielded three hit singles: Funky Man, Who's Gonna Take the Weight, and I Want to Take You Higher. Next came The Best Of Kool & the Gang Featuring The Penguin, Kool & the Gang Live at PJ'S, Music Is The Message, and Good Times, all of which helped solidify a sound that wowed not only fans but such contemporaries as James Brown and Nina Simone.e 80's would see them dominate the mainstream, starting with the double platinum-selling album Celebrate (driven by the international monster hit Celebration, which spent six weeks atop the R&B chart and became a #1 Pop single). Celebration, which played as the American hostages returned from Iran, remains de rigueur at joyous occasions worldwide. The smashes Get Down On It, Take My Heart, Let's Go Dancing, Joanna, Tonight, Misled, the #1 R&B, #2 Pop giant Cherish and the #1 R&B anthem Fresh (these last three from the multi- platinum LP Emergency) solidified the group's international stardom. Kool & the Gang landed global commercial endorsements, supported countless charitable causes and were the only American group to participate in Band Aid's 1984 Do They Know It's Christmas project for famine victims in Africa. With the explosion of hip-hop in the 90's, Kool & the Gang's incredible catalog of grooves made them DJ favorites. They were second only to R&B icon James Brown as sources of rap music samples. Today, the group enjoys global fame and recognition and a following that spans generations due in part to the groups widely sampled catalogue.© 2026 Building Abundant Success!!2026 All Rights ReservedJoin Me on ~ iHeart Media @ https://tinyurl.com/iHeartBASSpot Me on Spotify: https://tinyurl.com/yxuy23baAmazon Music ~ https://tinyurl.com/AmzBASAudacy:  https://tinyurl.com/BASAud

We've had enough of the Good Times bobble hat telling us what to talk about. The Wembley derby will have to wait.In the summer of 1996, Everton may not have been Cup holders anymore (the loveables having let the city down and sent the trophy back to Manchester), but were now being touted as outsiders for an even bigger pot - their first league title in 9 (NINE) years.Gary Speed looked like just the missing piece of Joe Royle's jigsaw, a marauding all-round midfielder (which was the style at the time), and a lifelong Evertonian to boot. Someone that would undoubtedly spend his many remaining years at the club he loved. After a dream first day of the season, August optimism gives way for a bumpy autumn then, naturally. But at least we don't go out of the League Cup to York. This episode is supported by The Excelsior. Thanks to Sean Ponzini and Gary Lunt for their contributions. Learn more about your ad choices. Dating After Divorce: What I Actually Want in a Partner Two Years Later | Episode 77Dating after divorce in your 30s or 40s? Two years ago, Marjorie made a list of everything she wanted in a partner. Now she and Michael audit it, and what changed might surprise you. The list included respect, chemistry, culture, a passport, and even traditional masculine representation. In this retrospective, she and Michael pull that list back out and ask a bigger question: what actually matters, and who have we become since? What starts as a laugh at a younger self turns into one of the most honest conversations on the pod. This is a relationship audit after divorce, not just what changed on the list, but what changed in them.If you are dating after divorce in your 30s or 40s, trying to figure out what you are actually looking for in a relationship now, or wondering how to date after divorce without repeating the same patterns, this one is for you. Bring your own list. You might cross a few things off.Content Note: Strong language throughout and frank adult discussion of dating, marriage, divorce, and non-traditional relationships. Inside the Episode:The Dating List, Two Years Later. Marjorie reads her old dating standards after divorce out loud and laughs at her past self. A relatable, vulnerable hook about how our relationship checklist evolves — from surface traits to character, trust, and being truly understood.Trust Cannot Be Microwaved. "You cannot build trust without time; you cannot repair problems without time." The most important thing nobody tells you about building trust after divorce. Time is the non-negotiable ingredient. Dating mindset shift: stop rushing what can only be built slowly.Carol Dweck Enters the Chat. Growth mindset in relationships, applied to dating, not classrooms. How to apply a growth mindset to dating patterns and why people claim growth in one area while staying completely fixed in another. The trap that keeps people repeating the same relationship mistakes after divorce.Fixed Mindset Dating Patterns. "We are taught by broader society to exit as soon as things are not perfect." Fixed mindset dating patterns that keep people stuck — and what it looks like to actually evolve instead of exit.Starter Marriage. "Everybody should have a starter marriage, like a starter home." Michael makes the case. Marjorie reframes divorce as something that can end well without being a failure. Starter marriage vs first marriage — and why "it was awesome until it ended" is not a failure; it is a fact. The Accountability Red Flag. How to read someone fast by listening to how they talk about their exes. The fastest and most reliable read on character in dating after divorce. Managing the Good Times. The relationship skill nobody talks about — not how to survive the hard times, but how to manage the good ones. Contentment as a choice. The "never satisfied" person always chasing the next thing versus choosing to say "this is enough."What We Tell Our Teenagers About Love. Communication, trust, patience, self-respect, and "you need a broader village." What healthy healing after divorce actually models for the next generation. Dating advice for teenagers, lived, not lectured.
