Dating After Divorce: What I Actually Want in a Partner Two Years Later | Episode 77Dating after divorce in your 30s or 40s? Two years ago, Marjorie made a list of everything she wanted in a partner. Now she and Michael audit it, and what changed might surprise you. The list included respect, chemistry, culture, a passport, and even traditional masculine representation. In this retrospective, she and Michael pull that list back out and ask a bigger question: what actually matters, and who have we become since? What starts as a laugh at a younger self turns into one of the most honest conversations on the pod. This is a relationship audit after divorce, not just what changed on the list, but what changed in them.If you are dating after divorce in your 30s or 40s, trying to figure out what you are actually looking for in a relationship now, or wondering how to date after divorce without repeating the same patterns, this one is for you. Bring your own list. You might cross a few things off.Content Note: Strong language throughout and frank adult discussion of dating, marriage, divorce, and non-traditional relationships. Inside the Episode:The Dating List, Two Years Later. Marjorie reads her old dating standards after divorce out loud and laughs at her past self. A relatable, vulnerable hook about how our relationship checklist evolves — from surface traits to character, trust, and being truly understood.Trust Cannot Be Microwaved. "You cannot build trust without time; you cannot repair problems without time." The most important thing nobody tells you about building trust after divorce. Time is the non-negotiable ingredient. Dating mindset shift: stop rushing what can only be built slowly.Carol Dweck Enters the Chat. Growth mindset in relationships, applied to dating, not classrooms. How to apply a growth mindset to dating patterns and why people claim growth in one area while staying completely fixed in another. The trap that keeps people repeating the same relationship mistakes after divorce.Fixed Mindset Dating Patterns. "We are taught by broader society to exit as soon as things are not perfect." Fixed mindset dating patterns that keep people stuck — and what it looks like to actually evolve instead of exit.Starter Marriage. "Everybody should have a starter marriage, like a starter home." Michael makes the case. Marjorie reframes divorce as something that can end well without being a failure. Starter marriage vs first marriage — and why "it was awesome until it ended" is not a failure; it is a fact. The Accountability Red Flag. How to read someone fast by listening to how they talk about their exes. The fastest and most reliable read on character in dating after divorce. Managing the Good Times. The relationship skill nobody talks about — not how to survive the hard times, but how to manage the good ones. Contentment as a choice. The "never satisfied" person always chasing the next thing versus choosing to say "this is enough."What We Tell Our Teenagers About Love. Communication, trust, patience, self-respect, and "you need a broader village." What healthy healing after divorce actually models for the next generation. Dating advice for teenagers, lived, not lectured.

Weak Men: The Danger of Silent Husbands and the Deception of "Good Times"Weak men, this is your word of the day—and ladies, don't turn the channel just yet, because this is meant to help your home.In this video, Coach Shelby pulls no punches as he targets a society infiltrated by passive, spiritually neutered men who refuse to stand up and lead. To act like a man means putting the Word of God above every single circumstance and relationship in your life. Our culture is desperate for real men of God, and when men leave a spiritual vacuum, darkness is quick to fill the void.Taking us deep into Jeremiah 44, Coach exposes a forgotten piece of biblical history that mirrors our modern world. After the fall of Jerusalem, a remnant of Judah fled to the comforts of Egypt against God's explicit warnings. When the prophet Jeremiah confronted them for burning incense to the "queen of heaven," the people gave a chilling response. The men openly admitted they were going to keep sinning just like their fathers did because back then, they had "plenty of food" and saw no trouble. Coach issues a blistering warning: just because things are going well for you materially right now does not mean you have God's blessing. The women even chimed in, proving that their idolatry happened with their husbands' full permission. Through neglect and by default, a man's refusal to be the spiritual authority causes his entire household to fall into bondage. It's time to stop making excuses, stop living in the family hog slop, and start doing your job.Classroom Highlights:The Neutered Culture: Why modern society is suffering from a lack of true, Word-centered masculinity. The Side-by-Side Standard: Why Eve was taken from Adam's side—not to walk behind him, and not to be abandoned to lead the home alone. The Illusion of Prosperity: Why having plenty of food and money while living in rebellion is a dangerous sign that you are running out of God's grace.Breaking the Generational Hog Slop: Coach shares a personal example from his own family history to prove that excuses mean nothing on Judgment Day.Jezebel and the Comment Section: Why Coach expects the spirit of rebellion to pipe up, and why he stands firm on the Word regardless.Scriptures Studied:Jeremiah 44:17 – But we will certainly do whatever thing goeth forth out of our own mouth, to burn incense unto the queen of heaven...Jeremiah 44:19 – And when we burned incense to the queen of heaven... did we make her cakes to worship her... without our husbands?Matthew 7:20 – Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.#WordTime #CoachShelby #WeakMen #Jeremiah44 #SpiritualLeadership #ActLikeMen #GenerationalSin #BiblicalTruth #Repentance #FamilyOrderChapters0:00 - Intro: A Direct Word for Weak Men0:11 - The Toxic Reality: Societies Suffering from Passive Men0:33 - What It Means to Act Like a Man: Word Over Circumstance0:56 - Inside Jeremiah 44: The Remnant That Fled to Egypt1:26 - The Multitude Rejects the Prophet: "We Will Not Listen"1:56 - The Adam Excuse: Blaming the Wife for the Man's Lack of Leadership2:17 - Walking Beside the Man: The Proper Place of a Wife2:38 - Living in the Family Hog Slop: The Trap of Generational Sin3:00 - Excuses vs. The Blood: Coach's Personal Family Testimony3:42 - The Deception of Success: When Idolatry Looks Like Prosperity4:09 - A Warning to Sir and Ma'am: God's Mercy Has an End Date4:28 - Blaming God for the Famine: The Twisted Logic of the Rebels4:53 - With Our Husbands' Permission: The Evidence of Male Neglect5:09 - Grab Your Wife's Hand: Stepping Into Your Spiritual Authority5:37 - Shut Up: Addressing the Ugly Comments and the Jezebel Spirit5:57 - Outro: A Blessing for the Men Who Stand Up and Lead

Après un premier succès avec "Last Train to Clarksville", ils explosent mondialement en 1967 avec l'album "More of the Monkees" et l'incontournable "I'm a Believer". How do you make yourself happy when the world demands you to be sad? This is the question a reader wrote in for advice from Carolyn Hax in the May 30th edition of the Washington Post. Her response is too good not to share. Take a moment and give this bonus good a listen. You'll be glad you did.

The Podcast: The Outdated Wrestling Hour With Bob Smith podcast – now in its fourth year – offers veteran fans (as well as curious younger ones) a chance to reminisce about classic mat action from years gone by. The show is hosted by Bob Smith, the former managing editor of Pro Wrestling Illustrated magazine who also enjoyed a long history with other famous titles. Co-host Joe Puccio (GenerationXWire.com) offers a younger perspective on old wrestling before the duo ushers in guests from throughout the professional mat landscape. The Topic: The Outdated Wrestling Hour is honored to bring back veteran podcast professional and sound maven Lou Kipilman – who just happenes be a wrestling expert in his own right. Listen in once again for another “My Favorite Things” episode, where someone who is involved in the mat business stops being a “pro” and looks back with fondness at the moments and stars that made the person fall in love with the sport. Look for memories, stars, and a whole lot of fun in the always nostalgic Outdated Wrestling Hour – an “aging” alternative to the usual pro wrestling podcast patter!Support the showContact us at outdatedwrestling@gmail.com!

I'll be honest, this one broke my brain a little. Kat has built Good Times to 600 members and four studios in under eight years, and almost none of it came from ads or a referral program. Her edge isn't a clever offer. It's a seven-step experience that makes people feel like they found her on their own, makes them feel seen the moment they walk in, and sends them home better than they arrived. We mapped the whole thing out, step by step, so you can run it on your own studio this week. Mark O'Brien and Phil Redmond, formerly of When Skies Are Grey and now the brains behind new fanzine One By One, join the co-hosts to shamelessly plug Issue #2 ahead of the Sunderland game. We've wanted to talk to them for a while so it's our pleasure to sit down with them and discuss One By One and WSAG, fake Everton hooligan books and ousting Peter Johnson at the Blue House. Details on where to get your copy of the mag here
We're heading back to the Prince of Darkness courtesy of our pal Ruddy Rutherford. This one's an eclectic mix of Clapton, Lennon, and Arthur Brown? What?! You've never heard of Arthur Brown??? For shame! We end up listening to Green Day and there's altogether too much Def Leppard for Kev's liking. But will Corey be entertained by 21st Century Schizoid Man and will Kev be on board with a cover of one of his very favourite Lennon compositions? The only way to find out is to turn on, tune in, and have some sympathy (and some taste)Also, go check out Ruddy's amazing photography at his website: Fit Light PhotographySongs covered in this episode; "Rocky Mountain Way", "In My Life", "Mississippi Queen", "Woman", "21st Century Schizoid Man", "All the Young Dudes", "For What It's Worth", "Good Times", "Sunshine of Your Love", "Fire", "Working Class Hero", "Sympathy for the Devil"Don't forget to follow us on social media and leave us a rating/review if you're enjoying the show!Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/theultimatecatalogueclashBluesky: https://bsky.app/profile/ucatalogueclash.bsky.socialDiscord: https://discord.gg/mz9ymTwSSEKo-Fi: https://ko-fi.com/ultimatecatalogueclashSHOP OUR MERCH STORE!!! Almost 20 million people visited New Orleans last year and spent over $10 billion. We'll go over the news and how we can keep the good times rolling with Walt Leger, President and CEO of New Orleans & Company.
The third act of Roberto Martinez's Everton story, as demanded by the listeners, begins in the summer of 2015, as the Blues embark on a chaotic Capital One Cup run. Off the pitch, everyone at the club is affected by the untimely passing of Howard Kendall, the greatest Evertonian of all. On it, the team plays some genuinely exciting attacking football at times, but still can't string two wins together. All that and more from the podcast that knows the real reason Tim Vickery went to South America. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

This week on Chill Filtered, Cole and Bryan explore a special release from Sagamore Spirit: their 8-year Rye finished in Amontillado casks. It's a sophisticated pour with a lot of character, and the boys spend some time breaking down why that specific sherry finish interacts the way it does with their rye. Before they crack the bottle, they warm up the conversation by chatting through some names in the industry—like Heaven Hill or Good Times—and getting into a fun discussion about those elusive whiskeys that hit those rich, dark cherry notes that are always a treat to find. On Whiskey World News, the guys have a lot to talk about regarding the legal landscape. Bryan brings everyone up to speed on the recent federal appeals court ruling that struck down the long-standing ban on home distilling. They break down the nuance of the decision and why it is not quite the "green light" for your garage distillery just yet. And for “What Whiskey Would You Choose?”, the boys pose a question that highlights the dilemma of every collector: Would you prefer higher availability allocated whiskeys with higher price tags, or lower availability allocated bottles with lower prices? A great rye, some industry news, and a debate on accessibility—grab a glass and hang with us!
Send us Fan MailThe Minnesota Twins had surged over .500 to the top of the American League, but after another series loss -- this one in New York City, to the Mets -- David and Dan aren't so sure what this team is capable of anymore. David can't even blame manager Derek Shelton for the bullpen, because who is he supposed to go to? Dan is wondering whether any of the younger players who made promising debuts this week could be the answer. They discuss how the Twins should proceed with Matt Wallner and how they can find the magic they had for the first three weeks. What if the old TV shows we grew up with were secretly teaching us how to live better than today’s fast-paced world? Darien reflects on timeless lessons from The Andy Griffith Show, Good Times, and All in the Family—patience, family bonds, character, and doing what’s right even when no one’s watching. He reminds us that real growth comes from uncomfortable conversations and that living right still matters in a disposable culture.
