Blood, violence and death seem to follow the name Edhouse. Father and son Andrew and Robert are both bikies and linked to a string of gruesome crimes – including the disappearance of Kalgoorlie woman Lisa Govan. Andrew Edhouse, one of WA's most notorious bikies in the late 90s, was a member of one of the “most secretive” bikie clubs in Australia - the Club Deroes. In the late 1990s Perth was in the grip of a war between the Club Deroes and the Coffin Cheaters. One casualty was Coffin Cheater Marc Chabriere, shot dead in his car in Welshpool. Edhouse was accused of his murder but later found not guilty. The son, Robert Edhouse was also a bikie - the Perth leader of a group called Aryan Nations. The neo-nazi was convicted along with his lover Melanie Attwood of the brutal murder of her ex-partner Alan Taylor in 2016. A crime Harvey describes as “full metal psycho behaviour”. The West Australian's chief reporter and Up Late host Ben Harvey joins host Tim Clarke to explore the violent worlds of two members of one family, which collided in one shocking courtroom outburst. And could come together again before a coroner in a few short months. For all the latest on courts and crime visit thewest.com.au. On this episode of the world famous Sofa King Podcast, we talk about the dark side of the classic toy from the 1960s, Sea Monkeys. This is a tale of brine shrimp, a conman who hit the big time, millions of comic books, the Aryan Nations, false identities, and weapons deals. It all hinges around a man named Harold Von Braunhut. He dominated popular culture with Sea Monkeys, X-ray Specs, and other toys marketed directly to children. But when he developed Kiyoga Agent M5 Spring Whip, things went dark when he pledged his earnings to the Aryan Nations. So how did he help get a top white supremacist free from sedition charges? How did this Nazi get Sea Monkeys to live longer? What exactly were in those Sea Monkey pouches? Listen, laugh, learn. It's been more than a week since 31 men from the white supremacist group Patriot Front were arrested and charged with conspiring to riot in Coeur d'Alene. Most of them travelled from other states to potentially violently attack locals celebrating Pride — in broad daylight. Police stopped the U-Haul truck carrying them just blocks away from the public park where LGBTQ families and allies were gathered to celebrate community. To try and understand why this happened — and why it could happen again — host Frankie Barnhill talks with journalist and Extremely American podcast host Heath Druzin. We know today's episode is a downer and we're looking for ways to stand up for our gay and trans neighbors in particular. But we're not starting from scratch here — Idaho has defeated bigotry before. The Idaho Press put out a great feature that reminds us how we kicked out the Aryan Nations about 20 years ago, when political leaders crossed the aisle to stand against hate in our home. Our own history can teach us a lot right now. Want some more Boise and Idaho news? Be sure make sure to sign up for our morning newsletter. And: follow us on Instagram! Find us at @city_cast_boise.
“[When we] heard the director of the FBI testifying a couple of years ago that the major threat now from domestic terrorism came from white supremacist groups. I think we were all pretty surprised, because…it seems like much of the violent, organized, terrorist-type activity is coming from groups, such as ANTIFA and others…more associated with [the] left wing.” Fmr. undercover agent, Marc Ruskin worked on white-supremacist cases during his 27 years tenure in the FBI. He gives his take on how this very dark and severe label has expanded from denoting extremist groups, like the Aryan Nations to include everyday Americans. Ruskin offers insight into what may be happening behind the scenes in the FBI as it presents increasingly as a weaponized instrument of partisan politics. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
--- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/elcaminodelosinmigrantes/message

Over the course of Donald Trump's presidency, the far-right fringe became a surprisingly visible and influential force in American politics. Eruptions of extremist violence — including the Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, Va., in 2017 and the Jan. 6 Capitol insurrection — have made militant groups like the Proud Boys and conspiracy theories like QAnon into household names. On his popular cable news show, Tucker Carlson recently name-checked the “great replacement” conspiracy theory. And in a recent survey, nearly a third of Republicans agreed with the statement that “true American patriots may have to resort to violence in order to save our country.”The historian Kathleen Belew has spent her career studying political violence and the once-fringe ideas that now animate even right-of-center politics and news media. She is a co-editor of “A Field Guide to White Supremacy” and the author of “Bring the War Home: The White Power Movement and Paramilitary America,” which tells the story of how groups — including the Ku Klux Klan, neo-Nazis and Aryan Nations — coalesced into a radical white-power movement after the Vietnam War. These groups were united by a core set of beliefs about the threats of demographic change and governmental overreach, perceived hostility toward white Americans and the necessity of extra-political, often violent, action to achieve their aims. This is a conversation about how some of those ideas have seeped into mainstream Republican politics and what that could mean for the future of the party — and the country. It explores the radicalizing effects of Jan. 6, how irony and meme culture import far-right ideas into popular media, how warfare abroad can produce violence at home, why politics has started to feel apocalyptic across the spectrum, whether left-wing violence is as serious a threat as right-wing violence and more.Mentioned:Radical American Partisanship by Lilliana Mason and Nathan P. [UNLOCKED - Part one of the British Israelism / Christian Identity (ep 55) / Aryan Nations (ep 57) trilogy] Despite what its name might suggest, Rey introduces the British Israelite movement to TENE's arc on Americanist fascism and adds a whole new roster of fashy freaks to their collection. 'British Israelism' is the claim that the British - and eventually Europeans and 'Whites' - are the truest and noblest tribe of Israel. And where does that leave the Jews? Well, that depends on who you ask, but it ain't great. Meet Richard Brothers, a founding ideologue of the movement whose teachings on the lost tribes of Israel will lead to Edward Hine's British-only approach which mysteriously floundered in America. Check-in on Pastor Wild British Identity's American son and 'Professor' Charles Totten as they kick off the US interpretation of the movement which is, of course, really really racist. Rey inducts pastor, KKK member, and First Lady of the Invisible Empire Reuben Sawyer to TENE's card deck which wouldn't be complete without Henry Ford's bff and guy who reads the bible "racially", degenerate drunk Bill Cameron. Also in this episode, founder of Pentecostalism Charles Parham, Pyramidism and its very special inch, and an unexpected link in this arc to the Tempel ov Blood. Phew! Game night at the Empire Never Ended! Boris, Fritz, and Rey are joined by some friends as they dive deep into the bewildering mess that is Nazi-made video games. In this experimental episode, Fritz hobbles through the barely-playable Zog's Nightmare 2 made by Aryan Nations-based company Resistance Records for the National Socialist Movement in 2007. He caps this off with a short tour of its fan-made sequel made for Combat 18. Fritz introduces other horrible games from the company and shows off his questionable collection of KKK versions of Mario Bros 1 and 2 and a pitiful Nazi re-texture of Wolfenstein 3D and. Also, a William Luther Pierce-inspired game throws Fritz's computer into chaos. TENE goes on a field trip to Idaho where they visit the Church of Christ Christian and their militant political wing, the Aryan Nations lead by Richard Girnt Butler, a man who slurs his slurs. Carrying the Christian Identity tradition from the 1970s to the 2000s, Butler created an armed compound in Hayden Lake, Idaho where he developed a complex heraldry and continued the racist theology of his dumb religion. Connected to terrorist groups like the Order and establishing the Aryan World Congress, Butler became a key man in the American White nationalist scene and beyond. TENE analyzes the recent exposure of the FBI's role in bankrolling the 'Tempel ov Blood', Joshua Caleb Sutter's American nexion of the Order of Nine Angles. Rey briefly reviews Sutter's history as a 'Phineas Priest' of the Aryan Nations, his insight roles in the DPRK-obsessed Songun Study Group and his ersatz Kali-worshipping sect, and the founding of the ToB, his Nazi vampire order. They discuss the courtroom drama that brought Sutter's relationship with the FBI to light. The boys speculate about the FBI's interest in Sutter, and Rey shares some commentary on this revelation from Atomwaffen/NSO and the O9A. Cold-open song: "Down Days" (David Renda / Fesliyan Studios). In an incredible episode packed with unvarnished takes and no punches pulled, Bibi and Sarah talk with international economics authority and financial risk expert, Charles Jacobs. A mathematician who strives always to see things as they are, and not as rendered through bias, Charles is a leading mind on measuring financial risk for international firms using advanced mathematical modeling who's had the honor of speaking before Congress (P.S. It's not as sexy in real life as Tony Stark made it look). In this conversation, we talk about religious extremism in America, the genetic manipulation of plants and animals, the relationships and conflicts between science, religion, and morality, the possibility of secret cabals making global decisions, and so much more. In his debut novel, The Pangaea Solution, Charles explores the growing danger at the crossroads of overpopulation, food shortages, and the ability of small, violent groups to attempt to alter the world based on their misguided beliefs. Facts are what power The Pangaea Solution because everything in it either exists or is being researched for tomorrow's reality: the Christian Identity movement, white-supremacist groups like Aryan Nations, bio-engineered hybrid animals, genetically-mutated plants, weaponization of global weather patterns, and the role of internet commerce in global money-laundering. Alright, listen. This is the complicated and twisted tale of a homeless poet named John Paul Cupp who dedicated his life to promoting the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and white nationalism and how his life was further wrecked by neo-nazi satanists Joshua Caleb Sutter and Jillian Hoy. Boris also gives some background on DPRK political philosophy and Rey offers some insight into the Aryan Nations movement in America and a few key figures of American neo-Nazism. This episode links Songun philosophy, Christian Identity, an atheist organization, Kalki worship, Islamism, Satanism, Jim Jones, Aryan Nations, and the State together in a cozy South Carolina trailer held by the Order of Nine Angles offshoot, the "Tempel ov Blood". This episode relies heavily on the journalism of Nate Thayer, particularly "White Power and Apocalyptic Cults: Pro-DPRK Americans Revealed." (NK News, 2103). Idaho Matters is continuing our deep dive into Idaho's racist history with Boise State University history professor Jill Gill. From Jim Crow-style practices in Boise from the 1940s and 1950s to the rise of the Aryan Nations in North Idaho in the 1980s and 1990s, we interrogate how our history of white supremacy manifested throughout the years — and what it means for today's push for a new reckoning of racial justice .
Steve Gunderson encountered and investigated many of the leading figures and organizations of the Aryan Nations movement during his career as a sheriff’s deputy and ATF agent.
Cian and Ali begin their deep dive into the American militia (or Patriot) movement. There are some odd beliefs very particular to America at play here, so we crack a couple of cans and get stuck into the founding of the country and the constitution to find out exactly why grown men like to LARP at being military folks out in the wild woods of backwoods America. In this episode, we focus on the siege of Ruby Ridge in Idaho, 1992 – an inciting incident that helped to kickstart the modern militia movement. It’s a fascinating and tragic story of a family hiding out in a cabin atop a mountain that became a target for increasingly more militarised police and federal forces. To find out just how this insane situation came to be, why the full force of the US government came down on the Weavers, and how citizens across the country changed their view of their own government as a result of this disastrous siege, take a listen to AMERICAN MILITIA 1: RUBY RIDGE. Along the way we meet such radical groups as the Aryan Nations and the Three Percenters, we discuss far-right white supremacist bible The Turner Diaries and murderous racists The Order, and amidst this grim tableau we even manage to eke a few laughs out of the life of irascible arch-conservative, anti-government warrior and all-round blowhard Colonel Bo ‘Rambo’ Gritz. And stick around for a made-to-order punk song about the militia movement! The Scuts https://www.facebook.com/DutchCourage2013 American Experience: Ruby Ridge (PBS) http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/americanexperience/features/ruby-ridge-part-one-suspicion/ Bo Gritz’ Spike Videos https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQ9qpjA5AyU Erase And Forget: Documentary about Bo Gritz http://eraseandforget.com/
The 1992 Ruby Ridge armed standoff between the Weaver family and the federal government. Three people died and the American modern militia movement was born. Did the government use excessive force in dealing with Randy Weaver, who refused to show up to court and face weapons charges? Or did Randy Weaver's own consistently paranoid and terrible decisions bring the wrath of Big Brother to his door? This one got me fired up! The Nazi Lies Podcast is an antidote to a neutral fascist studies. Fascist studies–the interdisciplinary exploration of the fascist phenomenon–has an unfortunate habit of looking at fascism in a historical and social vacuum. In the quest for objectivity, many scholars believe an exploration of fascism requires the shedding of all prior knowledge so as not to taint the investigation with our “moral biases.” For example, Roger Griffin, probably the most cited scholar today in studies on fascist ideology, had this to say in the preface to his edited volume International Fascism: Theories, Causes, and the New Consensus: The use of an abstract, detached language to analyze phenomena associated with fanaticism and violence should not be seen as callousness, however, but rather as a means to counteract and exorcise the appalling threat which they have posed in the twentieth century to Enlightenment humanism and its legacy of tolerance and respect for human rights. What this often ends up meaning in practice, however–particularly for those who focus on fascist ideology–is the proliferation of mere reconstructions and syntheses of existing fascist dogma without checking the claims and theories of fascists against actual evidence for fear of appearing biased. The outcome of this is an effective widening of the fascist literary canon, as fascists can say, ‘Every political theory has inspired mass violence but not every political theory is scientifically correct.' Fascism is not scientifically correct. On The Nazi Lies Podcast, I'm gonna talk to a variety of scholars, journalists, and other people with expertise about the things that fascists lie about. I expect it to be entertaining. Ridiculing fascist lies with people who actually know what they're talking about usually is. But I also want to inoculate people against fascist dogma, and maybe even turn some people away from it. A little about me. My name is Mike Isaacson. I first started learning about fascism through force of circumstance. I was taking a history of economic thought class in 2011 for my master's at Howard University in DC. The professor assigned a pretty wide open term paper. I was starting to see mainstream economics as the practice of using math problems as ill-fitting metaphors for a hagiography of markets, so the prospect of writing a history of that thought bored me. The professor himself was a communist, so I didn't want to elicit additional scrutiny by exploring Marxian economics. So I wrote my term paper about fascist economic theory. Fast forward a year and my Occupy DC friends and I stumble across an upcoming Aryan Nations march to the Capitol. We were aware of the existence of antifa organizations, but we chose to call our organization (which we thought would be temporary) Smash Racism DC, because in 2012 hardly anyone knew what fascism was, much less anti-fascism. We did some community outreach, put up some fliers, did some panels, knocked on doors, and managed to pull out about two to three hundred people against about fifteen to twenty nazis. The Aryan Nations planned to march from Lincoln Park to the Capitol and speak for two hours on the Capitol lawn. With sitdown blockades at every intersection, we slowed their march to a crawl. It ended up taking two hours to march what would have taken twenty to thirty minutes with their enormous police escort. Because of how loud we were, the Aryan Nations left the site of their speakout after about ten minutes because no one could hear them. Smash Racism DC existed for a couple years after that as mostly a social media presence. I used it in 2015 to organize a not-very-successful response to the National Policy Institute's conference on Halloween. In the wake of the Mother Emanuel church shooting, that year's conference blew attendance for their increasingly frequent conferences out of the water, with about 300 attendees, mostly under the age of 30. This would portend the eclipsing of politics by the fascist-centered alt-right during the 2016 election. In the wake of that election, Smash Racism DC was given new life as the mouthpiece for the newly formed DC Anti-Fascist Coalition. They would organize a large response to that year's NPI conference, disrupting their pre-conference dinner, and pulling out about three to four hundred community members to oppose the conference the following day. The DC Anti-Fascist Coalition would continue to mobilize DC's anti-fascists for years to come. Currently, I'm working on my doctorate in economics and history at the New School for Social Research. My research focuses on the development of 21st century neo-fascism–its ideologies, its institutions, its networks, and how it spreads. I don't get much of an opportunity in that research to get lost in the weeds of the absolutely bizarre things that some fascists earnestly believe. That's why I'm starting this podcast. We're gonna cover all sorts of nazi lies on this podcast. Is Hitler alive? Were the gas chambers fake? Is the earth hollow? It's gonna be a wild ride. We're gonna be launching on April 30th to celebrate Hitler's death, but in the meantime like us on Facebook @TheNSLiesPod and follow us on Twitter @NaziLies for updates. Also, I'm looking to pay my guests, and putting this podcast up online isn't free either. You can help out by sending your contributions either to paypal.me/NaziLies or via Cash App at $NaziLies. Patrons on our Patreon get access to exclusive pre-show banter clips and other perks. I'm also on the lookout for advertisers committed to the anti-fascist cause. Bring the War Home Blood and Politics From John Earnest's (Poway synagogue shooters) manifesto: "Plenty of people wrongfully identify with being Christian. Beyond the scope of time the Father and the Son made a covenant in eternity—that the Son would bring a people to Him that He may be glorified through them. I did not choose to be a Christian. The Father chose me. The Son saved me. And the Spirit keeps me. Why me? I do not know. And my answer to loving my enemies? Trust yids and their puppet braindead lemming normalfags to take one quote from the Bible and grossly twist its meaning to serve their own evil purposes—meanwhile ignoring the encompassing history and context of the entire Bible and the wisdom it takes to apply God’s law in a broken world." Christian Identity at Wikipedia RJ Rushdoony and Christian Reconstruction: "McVicar notes that it’s during this time period that Rushdoony discovered the work of Cornelius Van Til, author of The New Modernism and father of a doctrine called “presuppositional apologetics.” It isn’t necessary or even possible to delve too deeply into Van Til’s theology here, but a Cliff Notes version is helpful: Christians and nonbelievers alike comprehend the world based on certain presuppositions. Christians operate from a correct presupposition; nonbelievers do not, and ne’er the twain shall meet. According to Van Til, nonbelievers are incapable of accurately comprehending reality, and by extension, cannot develop a correct moral framework. Van Til’s work pulled heavily from Kant, which appealed to the intellectual Rushdoony; so did his Reformed leanings, which Rushdoony shared. Van Til’s epistemology also validated the would-be philosopher’s Duck Valley observations. But Rushdoony took Van Til’s thought a step further. If nonbelievers couldn’t be truly moral or reasonable, secular laws, based on secular reasoning, were therefore illegitimate. The answer to solving society’s problems – and to solving Duck Valley – lay in the application of biblical law." Aryan Nations at the SPLC "Butler openly admired Adolf Hitler and longed for a whites-only homeland in the Pacific Northwest. He retired as an aeronautical engineer at age 55 and moved to Hayden Lake, Idaho, in 1974. There, he bought an old farmhouse and formed his own "Christian Posse Comitatus" group. By 1977, Butler had decided to form the Church of Jesus Christ Christian at the farmhouse, and named its political arm Aryan Nations. In 1980, Butler’s church was bombed, causing $80,000 in damage. Nobody was injured or arrested. Butler responded by building a two-story guard tower and posting armed guards around his 20-acre property. In 1981, Butler hosted the first of what would be many annual Aryan World Congress gatherings on his property. It, and the confabs that would follow, attracted almost every nationally significant racist leader around. Among them: Tom Metzger, former Klansman and leader of White Aryan Resistance; Louis Beam, another onetime Klansman who promoted the concept of leaderless resistance; Don Black, the former Klansman who created Stormfront, the oldest and largest white nationalist forum on the Web; and Kirk Lyons, a lawyer who has represented several extremists and who was married on the compound by Butler." Kirk Lyons at the SPLC Lyons appeared on The Political Cesspool on 4/24/2019 The Butler Plan at the Northwest Front "Harold Covington Died a Coward" "For a time the program was co-hosted by Corinna Burt, a body builder who had a brief stint in the adult industry, under the alias “Axis Sally.” By 2013 she had left white nationalism behind, and, in an interview with the SPLC, explained that Covington’s goal was “to get a thousand alpha Aryan males to move to his neighborhood and then basically just start shooting everyone who isn’t white.” Indeed, Burt painted a portrait of a man who was unstable and paranoid. He “called nearly everyone in the [white supremacist] movement a homosexual,” was petrified of the thought that black men wanted to rape him, and his apartment was “filthy” with “layers of grime” on the walls. In her words, Covington was “pretty much the most horrible person ever.” His final years were spent making YouTube videos and podcasts for NF, much of which failed to gain traction even among other white nationalists. In the age of the alt-right, troll storms, racist memes, and torch marches, Harold’s influence had waned to practically nothing. When he was in the news, it was for calling Dylann Roof’s Charleston bloodbath “a preview of coming attractions” and speculating that The Right Stuff’s Mike Enoch was secretly Jewish. [...] "I had only ever written about this curmudgeonly racist once, but decided that he didn’t seem important enough to merit further attention. Looking back I stand by that calculation. His brother Ben probably summed it up the best, however, stating that “the bottom line here is that my brother is a coward. He has always been a coward and he will die a coward.” On July 14, 2018, Harold Armstead Covington died a coward at the age of 64. He will not be missed." * "The Rise of the Balk Right" Billy Roper Youtube Billy Roper at the SPLC Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association Sovereign Citizen Movement at Wikipedia Militia Movement at Rationalwiki Shane Bauer at Mother Jones, "I Went Undercover with a Border Militia" Hijacking America by Susan George Fundamentals of Extremism
This is usually a German Podcast, but some of my German listeners thought they would like to brave the original Idaho dialect of my Uncle. In German I've made a whole episode about the life of my Grandfather (Nasty Ned) to just give a slice of daily life of an American in northern Idaho. To learn more about these stories -- and episodes I have done about WWII, the Vietnam War, Hunting and Fishing with my Brother and Junior with my Grandpa Ned -- I recorded a conversation with my Uncle Junior. He's spent most of his life in the region where I've talked about the Nez Pierce and Lewis and Clark, the Gold Rush and Trappers, but also the Aryan Nations and Ruby Ridge. We talked about how my Grandfather spent a few Idaho winters in an army tent and sending back Black Jack money during the war.For the usual audience of this show there is also a version of this conversation with German commentary: https://aca.st/432a16Eine podcastnik.com Produktion. Retired agent Tym Burkey served 20 years with the FBI. While in the Cincinnati Division at the Dayton Resident Agency, he worked violent crime and domestic terrorism matters and was assigned a case targeting the Aryan Nations, which at the time was considered to be the most dangerous white supremacist group in the United States. In this episode of FBI Retired Case File Review, Tym Burkey reviews how his informant Dave Hall infiltrated the violent neo-Nazi organization. The intelligence gathered by Hall lead to the disruption and dismantling of the Aryan Nations’ leadership. Later in his career, Tym Burkey began working counterintelligence investigations and was transferred to the Albuquerque Division where he was assigned to the Sandia National Laboratories and supervised the Albuquerque Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF). After retiring from the FBI, Tym Burkey co-wrote with Dave Hall a narrative account of their Aryan Nations case. Their book, Into the Devil's Den: How an FBI Informant Got Inside the Aryan Nations and a Special Agent Got Him Out Alive, is a true-life thriller and a testament to bravery, dedication, and friendship. It’s also a timely reminder that America’s homegrown terrorists can be just as deadly as those from overseas.
This week on Religion For Life I speak with Dr. Joseph Fitsanakis about the connection between the American far right and Christian ideology. We discuss the Aryan Nations, National Alliance, the Creativity Movement, the Klan, and various skinhead and neoconfederate groups. We also discuss Timothy McVeigh and the Oklahoma City bombing in light of homegrown ideological terrorism. Dr. Fitsanakis coordinates the Security and Intelligence Studies program at King College in Bristol, Tennessee, where he teaches classes on intelligence and international terrorism, among other subjects.
