This week, I am joined by Celia from the Bay Area, California, who shares her journey from birthing with medical midwives and working as a doula, to stepping fully into sovereign birth work and choosing freebirth with her fourth child.Born at home herself, Celia's path was forever changed when she read Portal and began to unravel everything she thought she knew about birth. As a graduate of the Radical Birth Keeper School, she now carries this work forward in her own community.Celia reflects on her four births, including the painful memory of her midwife pulling out her placentas. She shares how, in her fourth and most recent birth, allowing her placenta to be born in her own way and her own time became her favorite part of the entire experience. In this conversation, Celia names what it means to let birth be simple, to trust herself, and to claim it all.✨ Join The Lighthouse — A private, life-changing membership space for conscious, sovereign women. The Spiritual Practice That Literally Saved My Life with Regan Caruthers The Spiritual Practice That Saved My Life with Regan Caruthers What if the path to real success wasn't money, titles, or material possessions—but the ability to connect with your heart, shift your energy, and live in coherence? In this episode of Richer Soul, Regan Caruthers shares her remarkable journey from Silicon Valley executive to yoga teacher and spiritual guide—and how a daily practice of devotion and gratitude literally saved her life. Key Lessons: Money Doesn't Equal Meaning. Growing up between a wealthy but absent father and a struggling mother, Regan saw firsthand that money doesn't guarantee happiness. We Are Programmed—But We Can Reprogram. From education to cultural conditioning, much of what we believe isn't ours. Regan challenges us to reclaim sovereignty. HeartMath Made Simple. Regan explains coherence: 5/5 breath through the heart while recalling gratitude. This physiological shift unlocks higher reasoning and emotional balance. Listening to the Inner Voice. A trusted inner voice told Regan to return to St. Louis—leading her to the hospital that saved her life. Discipline and Devotion Over Distraction. Phones, screens, and noise steal our attention. Regan reminds us that devotion requires time reclaimed for silence, meditation, and love. Gratitude Shifts Energy. Listing what you're grateful for isn't enough—you must feel it. Embodied gratitude changes your frequency. Eternal Perspective Reframes Fear. Recognizing our divine and eternal nature removes the grip of fear and redefines how we live. Money Learning: Regan Caruthers shares how growing up between extremes of wealth and scarcity taught her that money doesn't guarantee happiness—and that true success comes from coherence, gratitude, and devotion. A former Silicon Valley executive turned spiritual teacher, Regan explains how practices like HeartMath, meditation, and embodied gratitude rewire our inner operating system, helping us move beyond programming, distraction, and fear. Her story—including how listening to an inner voice literally saved her life—reminds us that while money provides security, it is meaning, discipline, and divine connection that create true wealth. Key Takeaway: Success without coherence is empty. True wealth comes from disciplined devotion, daily gratitude, and listening to the inner voice that knows the way. Guest Bio: Regan Caruthers began her path with meditation and Tai Chi at the age of three, but rejected her early training in pursuit of worldly success. She rose quickly as a Silicon Valley corporate executive in educational software, but achievements couldn't heal the brokenness within. Returning to her spiritual roots, she dedicated her life to teaching discipline, devotion, and conscious connection. Today she is the founder of Aset Yoga Center in Missouri, offering one-on-one coaching, yoga classes, and her Ready to Awaken courses. In this episode of the Dethroning Your Inner Critic Podcast, I'm diving into what it really takes to move through the unknown without letting fear or control run the show. As I prepare to lead a retreat in Sedona, I'm exploring why our minds grip so tightly when life feels uncertain—and how that tension in our thoughts, emotions, and nervous system keeps us stuck in old loops of survival. When we learn to regulate our body, release the old identity that fears the unknown, and anchor into the calm trust of our future self, life begins to open in ways we could never have planned. ✨ If you've ever felt on the edge of a new chapter but afraid to let go of control, this conversation will help you step into trust, alignment, and the peace that comes from letting life lead. Your weekly reflection questions: When you think about the next chapter of your life, do you notice your mind trying to control the unknown—or can you let yourself trust what you can't yet see? What stories does your Inner Critic tell you when things feel uncertain, and how do those stories show up in your body? If your future self—calm, grounded, and trusting—were here right now, how would she breathe, respond, or move through this moment?
What if the real work of women in leadership isn't about playing the part, but rewriting the entire script? In this solo episode, Janet explores the deep inner tension that women leaders experience as they navigate cultural expectations of femininity and leadership strength. Through her own story of being cast as Aphrodite instead of Athena in a childhood play, Janet uncovers how these archetypes still shape women's experiences at work today.Drawing from her decades of research and personal reflection, she invites us to question the archetypes we've inherited, and to imagine new models of authentic, integrated leadership. In this episode:✅ Why traditional leadership roles weren't designed with women in mind✅ How cultural archetypes still shape how women lead and are perceived✅ The inner tension between being “feminine” and being “strong”✅ The story of Aphrodite and Athena—and what it reveals about modern leadership✅ Why awareness of “role tension” is the first step toward authentic integration✅ How cultural scripts—not personal inadequacy—fuel self-doubt✅ The call for new leadership archetypes that blend wisdom and compassion✅ What it means to create your own authentic model of leadershipAbout Janet Ioli:Janet Ioli is a globally recognized executive advisor, coach, and leadership expert with over 25 years of experience developing leaders in Fortune 100 companies and global organizations. She created The Inner Edge—a framework, a movement, and a message that flips leadership from mere success performance to presence; from ego to soul. In this episode, we have Benjamin Behrooz, founder and CEO of Branding Los Angeles, a global creative agency. Benjamin shares his unconventional path to entrepreneurship—initially pursuing pharmacy at UCLA before discovering his passion for marketing through an internship at Sony Music. A pivotal layoff landed him at Truthdig, a politically‑focused site akin to the Huffington Post, where he realized his gift for giving a voice to those who can't speak for themselves. A single political cartoon he helped produce ended up in the hands of Egyptian protestors, cementing his belief in the power of authentic storytelling. The firm's culture revolves around empowering its team to make data‑driven decisions, leveraging constant communication and pushing innovative projects such as the world's first in‑store robot shopkeeper. Benjamin's mantra for growth is to “add three more zeros” to any idea, encouraging bold, expansive thinking. What happens when you see behind the curtain of labor and delivery? In this episode, I speak with Rylee, a young mother who chose to freebirth her first child after working inside the hospital system. From the vantage point of the “business of birth,” Rylee began to question everything she thought she knew about pregnancy. That unraveling brought her face-to-face with the deep dissonance between what she was told was “right” and what her body knew was true.Carrying that knowing into her own pregnancy, she made the radical choice to step away from the system entirely. Rylee shares what it was like to work as a self-described “fearmongering phlebotomist,” to quit, and then to bring her baby earthside in her own power. Her story is one of unlearning, reclaiming, and discovering the strength that emerges when a woman finally trusts herself. What You'll Hear:Why Rylee walked away from working in a hospitalWhat it feels like to stand up to doctors and refuse routine proceduresThe hidden link between hospital “convenience” and high C-section ratesWhy even trusted OBs and familiar clinics can still feel wrongHow she found her rhythm and delivered her baby in a birth pool at homeThe joy of her birth: laughing while pushing, with her mother and husband as witnessesTimestamps:[00:00] Introduction[09:03] Starting to question the hospital method and learning about freebirth[15:45] Climbing out of the system and trusting her instincts[19:57] Defying the doctors and reclaiming her sovereignty[28:15] Realizing that the hospital is a business[36:37] Choosing who she wanted at her freebirth[38:14] The psychedelic moment before labor began[45:40] Moving into the second day of labour, feeling tired, and calling her Mom[48:47] Exhausted, in a trance, and roaring through the portal of labor[51:32] Finding her rhythm and bringing her baby earth side in the pool[58:19] Getting out of the pool, the first cuddles, and delivering the placentaIf you want to connect more with Rylee, follow her on Instagram.Watch Rylee's birth video here.Find more from Emilee on Instagram, YouTube and the Free Birth Society website.Disclaimer: Free Birth Society, LLC of North Carolina shares personal and educational stories and experiences related to freebirth and holistic care.
