Fred Brizzi - Michael Dyke, the last Deputy Marshal assigned to the case, said Brizzi was "a drug smuggler and a con man," and was suspicious of his account of the Anglin Bros. Brizzi's widow said that she never heard him mention seeing the Anglin brothers in Rio, and that he was “a con man” who was prone to making up stories. MARIANNA REFORM SCHOOL In recent years, searches using ground-penetrating radar have discovered dozens of unmarked graves on school grounds. By late 2014, researchers have recovered the remains of fifty-five African-American boys. For decades the school remained segregated; blacks were not buried with whites. Thirty-one other boys are buried in a small cemetery, the only marked graves on the property. Most suspect many more graves are waiting to be found on the campus. “Baby, money isn't always the solution. 1994: arriva in libreria il romanzo "Jack Frusciante è uscito dal gruppo", pubblicato da Transeuropa, piccola casa editrice nota per la sua capacità di scoprire nuovi talenti. L'autore è il giovane Enrico Brizzi e la sua opera prima è destinata a segnare un'intera generazione e a diventare un best seller. Si raccontava la storia del diciassettenne Alex, liceo classico a Bologna, carattere mite, che inizia improvvisamente a contestare la famiglia. Si innamora di Aidi e i due vivono un rapporto un po' altalenante perché Aidi sta per andare a studiare negli Stati Uniti. Dove finisce "Jack Frusciante è uscito dal gruppo" inizia il romanzo "Due" (Harper Collins) il sequel scritto sempre da Enrico Brizzi trent'anni dopo. Il romanzo racconta il periodo che va da giugno '92 a giugno '93, un anno in cui Alex e Aidi, divisi da un Oceano, devono fare i conti con il dolore e la separazione. Nella seconda parte il ritorno in libreria della scrittrice Tracy Chevalier, famosa per il romanzo "La ragazza con l'orecchino di perla" in cui prendeva spunto dalla vita del pittore Vermeer e della sua modella. Poi sono seguiti altri romanzi sempre ispirati a fatti storici e ora è in libreria con "La maestra del vetro" (Neri Pozza - traduz. Massimo Ortelio). Anche in questo caso un romanzo che ci porta nel passato anche se in realtà questa volta la scrittrice gioca con la dimensione del tempo perché la protagonista e le persone a lei care attraversano oltre 500 anni. Si raccontano le vicende di Orsola Rosso che alla fine del Quattrocento a Venezia appartiene a una famiglia di vetrai: crescendo impara l'arte di creare perle di vetro grazie agli insegnamenti di una famiglia di vetrai concorrenti. Il fratello Marco non apprezza il suo lavoro ed è anche piuttosto sferzante con lei, ma Orsola non si dà per vinta e grazie anche a una rete di donne cercherà di affermare sè stessa.

Notte prima degli esami è un film italiano del 2006 diretto da Fausto Brizzi. Esordio di Brizzi alla regia cinematografica, è interpretato da Nicolas Vaporidis, Giorgio Faletti e Cristiana Capotondi. Il film offre un'accurata ricostruzione della cultura giovanile degli anni Ottanta attraverso l'inserimento di molteplici riferimenti, in particolare musicali. Alcuni di essi sono pressoché contemporanei all'anno in cui è ambientato il film, il 1989, altri più vecchi: sono presenti o citate le canzoni Lamette (del 1982), The Wild Boys (del 1984), Save a Prayer (del 1982), The Final Countdown (del 1986), Cosa resterà degli anni '80 (del 1989), Self Control (del 1984) e Gioca Jouer (del 1981, che comunque conservava ancora una certa popolarità alla fine di quel decennio, tanto che nel 1989 ci fu anche una cover cantata da Fiorello). Sono presenti anche riferimenti al muro di Berlino, che venne abbattuto proprio nell'autunno del 1989, all'Inter dei record dell'allenatore Giovanni Trapattoni che vinse lo scudetto quell'anno, alla Nazionale di calcio che vinse i mondiali del 1982, al pilota automobilistico Niki Lauda ed al film Rambo III (del 1988). Lo stesso titolo del film è un riferimento all'omonima canzone di Antonello Venditti del 1984, che fa parte della colonna sonora della pellicola. Après « L'enfer », adaptation stupéfiante du texte de Dante, les frères Brizzi s'attaquent en bande dessinée à un autre grand classique de la littérature : « Don Quichotte de la Manche ». Ils magnifient le texte de Miguel de Cervantès par leurs talents de dessinateur et de conteur. Une plongée chevaleresque et artistique dans l'une des plus grandes œuvres de la littérature mondiale. Dans le cinéma, il y a les frères Larrieu, les frères Scott, ou les frères Dardenne. En littérature, il y a les frères Goncourt. En peinture, il y a les Flandrin. Dans la bande dessinée, l'illustration et le cinéma – oui les trois en même temps - il y a les frères Brizzi. Non seulement frères mais qui plus est frères jumeaux.Ils sont nés un 24 décembre, le soir du réveillon de Noël. Et ils ont travaillé quelques années après sur un épisode spécial Noël de Winnie l'Ourson. Car Paul et Gaëtan Brizzi ont aussi travaillé pour Disney, et story-boardé pour des réalisateurs comme Roman Polanski et Kevin Lima.Depuis quelques années, ils ont mis leurs crayons au service de la littérature. Un scénario de Christophe Malavoy d'après l'œuvre de Louis-Ferdinand Céline, mais aussi deux albums inspirés par Boris Vian.Il y a un an, ils se sont attaqués à « L'enfer de Dante », publié aux éditions Daniel Maghen. In this episode, we are joined by Dr. Kathleen Neuendorf and Dr. Renato Samala.Dr. Kathleen Neuendorf, MD has been a palliative medicine physician, working primarily as a consultant in the hospital, since 2010. She was drawn to the field because it brought an honesty and clarity that people seemed to need but weren't always getting. Dr. Neuendorf is known both locally and nationally for her work in relationship-centered communication and leadership. Outside of work, she is a proud mom of 3, enjoys spending time with her husband and taking walks in the Metroparks.Dr. Renato V. Samala, MD is a staff physician in the Department of Palliative and Supportive Care at the Taussig Cancer Center, and an Associate Professor of Medicine at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine. After graduating from the University of the Philippines College of Medicine, he completed a residency in internal medicine at UPMC McKeesport, and fellowships in Geriatrics and Hospice and Palliative Medicine at Cleveland Clinic.
