In today's society, the American public is bombarded everyday from all sides for donations. How can you choose who to help, especially with the constant rising costs just to pay expenses and keep a family going. Cheaper Dental Visit is a dental plan that accepts everyone. No contracts, so you can cancel anytime. Our savings offer anywhere from 15% to 50% on dental procedures, and our Family Plan is only $19.95 per month, plus a one time administration fee of $4.95. Our Family Plan will include as many immediate family members living in the household, and we have thousands of Dentists to choose from. Here is how we can help your school, church, or non-profit organization. We will provide you with your own "Discount Code" that can be applied while checking out. This will automatically do two things, first eliminate the $4.95 administration fee, and lower the monthly Family Plan. Now a family will only pay $14.90 per month, a 25% savings. Now,with your Discount Code ,this will allow us to track everyone that you signed up, and starting the second month, your organization will receive $2.50 per policy, and you will receive $2.50 per month as long as the policy stays in place. So many families are bypassing dental procedures due to the high costs. Now there is an affordable option, did you know that 3.5 million people per year get braces, now they can save thousands of dollars. Please go to CheaperDentalVisit.com, and use this Demo code, DBM, and you will see how the codes work. This is a perfect fundraising option.

Buildings are a major contributor to greenhouse gas emissions. The $5.8 trillion-a-year building and construction sector, including ongoing operations of buildings, is responsible for 38% of the world's energy-related CO2 emissions according to the United Nations' Environment Program. Meet Håvard Haukeland, cofounder of Autodesk Spacemaker and a senior director at Autodesk, the pioneer and leading provider of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and other design tools used by architects and builders — Autodesk's tools also power many of the breakthroughs in animation and special effects. Spacemaker is an artificial intelligence platform that can analyze architectural designs to identify potential improvements that reduce a building's power requirements during its operational life. The tool was introduced in October, and it works with other Autodesk tools to speed the green design process and enable efficiencies during construction. The International Energy Agency estimates that emissions associated with construction and buildings needs to fall by 6% a year until 2030 if humanity is to avoid crossing the Paris Accord's target 1.5 degrees Celsius threshold that represents increased likelihood of disastrous climate impacts and extreme weather. And we are not making the necessary progress despite the fact green buildings are projected to account for $24.7 trillion in new construction by 2030. Architects and contractors need better tools to design and test buildings, plan efficient building projects, and optimize the use of materials while minimizing waste. Spacemaker's operational energy analysis reviews a building design, predicts operational energy use as the architect works, and suggests energy efficiency improvements provided by different types of insulation or different kinds of windows based on the dimensions of the entire building. And as they proceeded to explore what was sounded like an impossible request, they were able to set these core parameters: It needs to work in our learning management system, it needs to be 508 compliant, and it also needs to work both on the computer and on the mobile platform, so that people can access this wherever they need to. So from Leslie starting from a needs analysis exploration of the project to Andrew and his Designing Digitally team going from Captivate authored training, to HTML5 and javascript, this course had a very interesting journey from discovery to completion. Take a listen to the audio recording for the details!
In this episode, I talk about game of thrones, the real reason why people are disturbed by the burning of Notre-Dame Cathedral. Not forgetting the hilarious thing about the new Ukrainian president.
It's been , and in the intervening time all of us who spend time in Downtown Spartanburg have watched our city's most iconic historic building slowly return to its 1920's glory. A total of 63 apartments will occupy floors 4-10, with office space on floors two and three, and ground-floor retail space that is already slated to house a second downtown location for Little River Coffee Bar and a first Spartanburg location for the popular Greenville-based Sidewall Pizza. Recognizing the Montgomery Building's enormous importance to the Spartanburg community, developers James Bakker and Tom Finnegan of BF Spartanburg are inviting the public to come see the restored icon for themselves, with public tours planned as part of a grand opening weekend on December 7-8. Today on the podcast, we're talking with Tom and James to get some inside info on the renovation process, as well as their take on where the building fits into the Downtown Spartanburg redevelopment story. This week we're in conversation with Timothy Erik Strom, digital rights activist and author of the upcoming text Globalization and Surveillance, Jacob Grech, renegade activist and host of 'A Friday Rave' and Lizzy O'Shea, human rights lawyer and author of 'Future Histories' ; contemplating the global political trajectory towards greater states of totalitarianism. "... the democracies of the future will change their nature; the quaint old forms – elections, parliaments, supreme courts and all the rest – will remain but the underlying substance will be a new kind of totalitarianism." Aldous Huxley, Brave New World Revisited, 1958 Bulding on Aldous's profound foresight, the team discusses the current trajectory and future alternatives. We ask the question, what are we doing to lead ourselves down a path to totalitarianism?"There are no new types of totalitarianism, just new technologies of control." @JacobGrech"We need sovereignty over our own data." @Lizzie_OShea"Are we putting the infrastructure in for a new class warfare?" @JacobGrech"Technologies are transforming the human condition." - Timothy Erik Strom"The techbros are not going to save us." @Lizzie_OSheaThe conversation concludes with the idea that the future is not yet defined. It is emergent. And within that emergence anything is possible.Stay tuned for follow up conversations about self-actualizing our futures.

Comedy is tragedy. As most comics do, Rich Aronovitch has turned his calamities into humor. SMOOTH DADDY JOHNSON. What's in a name? Ask Smooth Daddy Johnson aka Rich Aronovitch. Dean spent a week at sea with Rich and although they've been Kool for years, they finally got to KNOW each other. Only a future comic could go away to camp in their youth and kill at a talent show. Rodney Dangerfield would've been proud. Only a future comic could get bombed in Israel and use it as motivation to pursue their dreams. Only a comic of mettle could endure Hurricane Katrina and losing a family business and maintain such positive energy. There were dark times that included drinking and now he's clean and sober for 9 years. Rich Araonovitch is all about being of service and the positive that he shares is coming back to him. From being Jim Breuer's opening act to judging on the Food Network's "BEAT BOBBY FLAY" and having his calendar booked through 2018, Smooth Daddy Rich "knows his audience". We in the Bulding, son!

What use is an F-call? I once asked an amateur what the best wire was to use for an antenna. He advised me that there are really only two kinds of wire. Free wire and Cheap wire, with a preference for the former, rather than the latter. In the run-up to a recent contest I spent a week building an 80m pyramid antenna. It took around 82 meters of wire to build. I started with using a roll of 12 gauge wire, but that was too heavy for my squid pole. I managed to break it about 4m from the top. I should have left it at that, but I was determined, so I went to my local electronics store and purchased a 100m roll of light duty hook up wire. It cost me about $25. I managed to build myself an antenna that was perfectly resonant on 160m - very helpful - not. By this time it had been raining for several days and my antenna building activities were curtailed. Not because I melt in the rain, but because it wasn't fun being in the rain. At the end of the day, this hobby isn't supposed to be a chore, it's supposed to be fun. I retold my story over lunch when a friend suggested that I might investigate electric fencing wire. Comes in 200m rolls, $25, strong enough to keep a horse at bay, built for Australian conditions. I've spent a little time looking at this and while there are those who tell me that it's a fool's errand, there are plenty of discussions recommending and comparing this kind of material for use as an antenna. So, in the arsenal of possible sources of antenna wire, I can now add electric fence wire to my list of things to try. It's not free, but it's pretty cheap! What weird and wonderful materials have you used to build antennas? I'm Onno VK6FLAB
