He is also known for his television work on CBS' Criminal Minds, FOX's Lethal Weapon as well as a 150 episode arc as Detective Ronnie Dimestico on General Hospital. As an actor, Marmo starred in more than 70 feature films includingDeuces Wild and  Back in the Day. He has directed over 50 stage plays, films and TV series. Ronnie has also produced 12 films and 110 plays/musicals in LA, NYC and CHI. Marmo has been the proud Artistic Director of Theatre 68 in LA and NYC for the last 22 years.

He was a prominent astronomer who was involved in the mystery at the very beginning as a consultant for the Air Force's investigation, which operated for most of its existence as Project Blue Book until its termination in 1969. He was born in Chicago in 1910 and worked and lived in Ohio from 1935 until he became chair of the astronomy department at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, in 1960. In 1973, he founded the Center for UFO Studies, which was based in Chicago. Then, in 1984, after spending his entire life in the Midwest, he rather suddenly moved with his family from Chicago to Scottsdale, Arizona. The Kankakee mallow is one of the rarest plants on the continent, according to the Smithsonian Garden in Washington D.C. It's a pink flower that grows on tall stalks and is native to just one small island in the middle of the Kankakee River, about an hour south of Chicago. But when botanist Rachel Goad paddled over to take a look back in 2014 with a group of native plant enthusiasts, instead they found an island overgrown with invasive honeysuckle. Was this special native plant gone for good? Perhaps, if not for the efforts of a small group of volunteers, initially led by conservationist Trevor Edmonson. “Hearing the phrase that the Kankakee mallow only grows on this island — anywhere in the world, like that is the extent of its remaining natural habitat — is such a draw for anybody, especially someone early on in their career,” Edmonson said. Riofrancos also explains how the history of extraction in Latin America helps shape the power dynamics in the region and what leaders learned from past efforts to protect natural resources. We explore the environmental and social impacts of mining in Chile, a major provider of copper and lithium, and the political shifts in recent years that are influencing resource governance.  We also discuss the role of private governance in the mining sector and talk abou the importance, and often absence, of public regulation and democratic processes in achieving sustainable and equitable resource management.
