I think my background in musical theater has helped me when it comes to interviewing my guests on my show. I have developed great interviewing techniques over the many years as well. The one thing that I like to always say when it comes to interviewing people is that it is absolutely imperative that you keep your guests engaged at all times. When your guests' loose interest in your show, then your audience loses interest as well. Being a radio host, there comes many other responsibilities. You always should be willing and ready to ask questions. Before every show, I always have a list of different types of questions to ask my guests. Making sure my equipment that I have is always up to date is equally important. It's important to remember to never to solely rely on technology. Something I that learned is that you should always count on things going wrong from time to time. In my musical theatre career, it is also true to always improvise when someone forgets a line or is late to run on for a scene. The same applies to the radio industry. To trust His plan for me, and to trust in the saving and enabling powers of the Atonement of Jesus Christ. To truly trust that God’s way is so much better than mine. This episode spotlights the principles and promises taught in President Russell M. Nelson’s talk, “Let God Prevail.” I am so excited to introduce this week’s featured guest, Dawn Heath. Like me, Dawn is a convert to the church; but unlike me, Dawn learned early on how to trust God and let Him prevail in her life. Dawn is married to Dr. Terence Heath, and together they have four children and six grandchildren. Shortly after her baptism, Dawn was called to serve a mission in the Wellington, New Zealand mission. Blending as Maker like Chef Blending is a key part of cidermaking. It can take place at the pressing of the apple juice prior to ferment or after the cider has finished fermenting. Knowing when to blend is not something you can learn from reading a book, because is not a strict science. To blend well requires a fine palate, a developed nose and a bounty of apple knowledge. Makers are much like chefs in a kitchen. They both may be following a recipe, but the final product is reliant upon their own palate and understanding of the ingredients. Michelin Star chefs don't happen over night and neither do fine cidermakers.
