This week, beloved Bible teacher and speaker Lisa Harper shares her perspective on how she traded theological study for a personal God experience and began seeing the Bible as a love story. She stresses showing up to God just as you are—imperfections and all—illustrated by a story of shared heartache. Then, we’ll hear from Richard Gamble, the founder of the Eternal Wall of Answered Prayer in the United Kingdom, which is set to open in the fall of 2027. Richard shares the vision behind the largest Christian landmark in Britain, which will contain one million bricks, each one containing a scannable QR code which will reveal someone’s answered prayer. Theology at its core is relational. It’s less about accruing data about who God is and it’s more about developing an intimate relationship with Jesus.” - Lisa Harper “When you think of the Bible as a rule book, or that it’s primarily about biblical ethics, then it becomes punitive—it’s something I have to get right. When you see it as primarily a love story, then everything changes.” - Lisa Harper “If you look at all of Scripture, including the Old Testament, through a socio-historical context, you’ll see this ongoing theme of a good God who’s always in the process of redeeming our inherent dignity as His children.” - Lisa Harper “All of us experience exquisite loneliness, but that also shows we are hardwired for relationship.” - Lisa Harper “Jesus Christ, the Son of God, He chose to be accessible to us, to be near to us when our lives feel crushed, to get the residue of our heartache on His personhood. He doesn’t just love me because it’s His duty. He delights in me.” - Lisa Harper “How kind is our God. It’s His mercy that leads us to repentance.” - Lisa Harper “Whatever you do, don’t believe the lie that you have to clean yourself up first before you turn back to God. Bring everything to the Lord, even your disappointment, even the places where you’re stuck. Then ask Him to restore unto you the joy of your salvation, and He will.” - Lisa Harper “My own prayer life has changed so much because I don’t worry about if I sound spiritual. I just want to be closer to my Redeemer. Some days that doesn’t look pretty. Some days, that’s really, really messy. But He says, ‘Bring me everything.’” - Lisa Harper “The first thing I did was to speak the dream. I think that’s an important step—when God gives you a vision, to actually speak it out to others.” - Richard Gamble “If God has given you a dream, the success of that dream is not limited to your ability. The success of the dream is just predicated on whether God has chosen it to be. If God is behind a dream, everything is possible.” - Richard Gamble “Ultimately, what we want people to do is to find stories that inspire them to go on their own personal journey to find Jesus, the God who answers.” - Richard Gamble “You can overcome by sharing your testimony with somebody.” - Richard Gamble “The more those overwhelming moments come, if you are grounded in that truth of who God is daily, you don’t get the anxiety, you don’t get the fear—it bounces off you because you know the truth.” - Richard Gamble ________________________ Enjoy watching these additional videos from Jesus Calling YouTube channel! When life takes an unexpected turn, when a relationship ends, plans fall apart, or disappointment appears out of nowhere, it can feel like everything is working against you. But what if life is still on your side, even in those moments of heartache and uncertainty? This podcast episode invites you to see challenges in a new way and find peace in the middle of change. When you stop believing that life is against you, you begin to open to the quiet rhythm of possibility, where healing and hope can start to grow. Even in pain there is movement. Even in loss there is life still unfolding with you. Take ten minutes to breathe, reflect, and remember that you are not separate from life. You are part of it, and within that connection, there is always a way forward. Poem: Life Is Still With You When the path breaks open beneath your feet, and everything you planned disappears into air, pause. The world is still breathing with you. The sunrise does not forget your name. The wind still carries new beginnings. Life is not against you. It moves through you, even now in every breath, in every quiet act of courage, in every small moment you choose to begin again. In this powerful episode of Fatherhood Field Notes, we sit down with Ryan Miller—a man whose joyful demeanor belies a journey through significant trials and transformation. Ryan opens up about his 24-year marriage, raising two daughters, and how embracing suffering has shaped him into the father and husband he is today. He shares vulnerable stories about his own mistakes, including a near-infidelity experience, surviving the 2017 Las Vegas mass shooting, and how these moments became catalysts for growth rather than destruction. Ryan discusses the importance of physical and spiritual health, intentional presence with our children, and how fathers can balance ambition with family priorities. He offers practical wisdom on passing faith to our children and extending fatherly influence beyond biological connections. On this week's show, we spend quality time with new records from Wednesday and Amanda Shires, spin fresh tracks from Parlor Greens, Tune-Yards and The Mountain Goats, and give it up for season two of HBO Max's Peacemaker. All this and much, much less! Debts No Honest Man Can Pay is a podcast that thinks it's a radio show...because it used to be one. The show started in 2003 at WHFR-FM (Dearborn, MI), moved to WGWG-FM (Boiling Springs, NC) in 2006 & Plaza Midwood Community Radio (Charlotte, NC) in 2012, with a brief pit-stop at WLFM-FM (Appleton, WI) in 2004. American League Division Series - Games Three, Four, and FiveBefore the American League Championship Series begins this Sunday night in Toronto, let's recap the conclusion of the ALDS. The Blue Jays offense continued to torment the Yankees pitching staff en route to a 3 games to one series victory. Vladimir Guerrero, Jr. was unreal, driving in runs in every single game of the series. Nathan Lukes, who had spent nearly a decade toiling as a minor league journeyman, once again came up huge against the Yankee pen. The top team in the American League appears poised to win their first pennant in over 30 years.Meanwhile the Mariners outlasted the Tigers in an epic fifteen inning game five. The Tigers took them to the brink, and then some. Tarik Skubal, Will Vest, and Kerry Carpenter did all they could to try and advance, but AJ Hinch's squad just couldn't produce enough offense. Apart from a game four implosion, Seattle's arms were dominant against Detroit, but they'll have their work cut out for them facing the firepower of Toronto.New York Yankees (94-68) @ Toronto Blue Jays (94-68)Toronto Radio SN590 - Ben Shulman and Chris LerouxNew York Radio WFAN - Dave Sims and Suzyn WaldmanDetroit Tigers (87-75) @ Seattle Mariners (90-72)Seattle Radio KIRO - Rick Rizzs, Aaron GoldsmithDetroit Radio 97.1 the Ticket - Dan Dickerson, Dan PetryAudio clips from MLB.tvAs always, thank you to Baseball Reference and SABR for statistics, box scores, background information, and much, much more.Catch you next time,P.C.O.

C.S. Lewis once said, “God whispers to us in our pleasures, but shouts to us in our pains.” Those words capture a truth that the Scriptures put forth from Genesis to Revelation. It seems that whenever God would do his greatest work in the lives of those he loved, he would bring about great spiritual growth and increased faith through the gift of pain. In today's world, we are taught to avoid pain and pursue pleasure. In addition, we've been led to believe that if we are experiencing the pain of difficulty and difficult times, God must be absent. But the Bible teaches us the exact opposite. God is present in our sufferings. How is it that we miss this truth so easily? As parents, there will be times of great hearthache, pain, and difficulty. Never forget that these are the times where God is parenting us, where he is doing great work, and where he is nurturing us into people who are totally dependent on him and on nothing else. Consider it all joy when you experience God's love in pain.

“I still haven't got over that Super Bowl, I have yet to watch that game through because it's that painful and I was that close to getting my ring. I hate the Super Bowl. I hate February.” Charles "Peanut" Tillman On this episode of The Pivot Podcast, former NFL star Charles "Peanut" Tillman joins Ryan, Channing, and Fred for an unforgettable conversation that goes far beyond the football field. Known for his legendary "Peanut Punch" and Pro Bowl career with the Chicago Bears, Tillman opens up about the highs and lows of life in the NFL, the mental grind of competition, and what truly defined his time on the gridiron. He shares how it's still difficult to think about coming up short in two Super Bowls and how it pains him to this day to watch football in February. He takes the guys through his infamous career, some of his legendary plays and how he was the only player close to reaching a historic NFL milestone, of the 40/40 club with 44 forced fumbles and two picks short of 40 interceptions. But his story didn't end with football. In a tremendous pivot of honor, Peanut talks about his decision to join the FBI after NFL retirement—a rare and inspiring path for a professional athlete. He shares what drove him to serve in a completely different arena, the challenges of the transition, and how discipline and purpose continue to shape his life. Growing up with his father in the military, he always had a passion to serve the country and joining the bureau was his way to make an impact. But recent changes and demands in protecting the homeland led Peanut to abruptly leave the FBI after eight years of service, which he opens up on and shares why for the first time. Peanut also reflects on the most important role he's ever played: being a father. He gets deeply personal about his family, including the emotional journey with his daughter's health, and how that experience changed his entire perspective on life, love, and prayer. Fred deems his storytelling as his favorite share in our Pivot history. The guys wrap up talking ball, sharing career moments and reminisce he plays we never live down! This is an episode about resilience, reinvention, and real priorities. Don't miss this raw and heartfelt sit-down with a true game-changer—on and off the field. Everyone Sheevaun Moran here Driving For Your Success in today's topic is the surprising truth about unconscious decisions. Our unconscious does so many things to us. well really for us. It gives us a lot of Clues along the way and it gives us a lot of Heartache because we definitely live more from the unconscious than we do from choice groundedness anchoredness in our body and our surprising decisions in our unconscious are that we actually move away from things that are going to help us achieve our goals faster and sooner. That's really tricky and interesting we move toward things that are about more feels and about being seen and the really interesting thing about our unconscious is it gives us little clues about decisions that we're about to make yet our logical brain comes and steps in and says no no wait wait wait wait. I remember this one client who came to me years ago I met her after I'd done a speaking event and I met her at the back of the room she said oh my God I swear to God you were talking to only me in the room and I said maybe I was maybe that's true and she said I think I need to work with you and I said great let's have another conversation and see how that goes. I think we set up a conversation she didn't show up and then I saw her while she was having breakfast in a lobby at some hotel in some other part of the country and she comes up to me timidly at breakfast and says do you remember me and I said oh yeah I remember you and how are you? I said what happened to you she said I am so sorry I let my so intellectual brain my science brain get in the way and made me make a choice that was to go a different direction when my truth and my inner self knew that sticking with you and working with you was really going to help move the needle and so would you consider having another conversation with me so maybe we can work together. I said yep okay maybe we'll see I said it's really important that you understand that I commit to my clients as much as they think they're committing to me and it's really about me helping you get and Achieve and have that success that you want and so she really stalked me for this second time and she said I spent eighty thousand dollars with two other people to not get what I knew I could get with you. So her unconscious knew yet her intellect talked her out of it and that happens a lot like these beautiful things that are that are niggling thoughts that are the positive unconscious help us and then there's the negative unconscious that gets us away from our goal the negative unconscious is uh you know things that we're doing that are sabotaging ourselves. I bet you've done a couple things to sabotage yourself I bet you've even said this is sabotaging This is something I do that sabotages myself and that is from the unconscious and yet we want to bring that from the unconscious to bring it up to the truth in the highest place that we have to the light out in front of us. Speak it say it write it live it breathe it out of your unconscious so that it does not stay in that prison, that prison is like a prison of thoughts and so it's really surprising your conscious has the unconscious has the good and it has the less good and the good is very quiet it's that really deep knowing and it's a thing you often walk away from more often walk away from than not. So check in to your unconscious habits that you get tripped up by and let's see what happens and show me and tell me and tell me what's happening you can find more out about me at sheevaunmoran.com. s-h-e-e-v-a-u-n-m-o-r-a-n.com and if you really really want to do some cool stuff and this is of Interest then share subscribe like comment thank you so much for listening I cannot wait to bring to the light some of the things that have been stuck in your unconscious have a great day. Dundee United were knocked out of Europe following a galling penalty shootout against Rapid Vienna. The team analyse an electric night at Tannadice that, for an hour, was on course to end in glory – the star performers and the defining moments. How do United recover? The return of Luca Stephenson, allied with the capture of Julius Eskesen, could certainly bolster their ranks ahead of Sunday's clash with Kilmarnock. Across the road, Dundee are running the rule over former St Johnstone man Cammy MacPherson. Is he the man the Dark Blues need in the engine room? With no game this week, the Dee are on double bounce game duty. How beneficial will that prove? Especially for the returning Simon Murray. And we have expert insight into Dundee's defensive improvement. Alan Temple is on hosting duty this week, joined by Graeme Finnan and former Dundee and Dundee United star Lee Wilkie. The Quest for Harmony Born amid the chaos of World War II, Udo Erasmus's journey began with trauma and survival. Fleeing Poland as a child, dodging bullets and bombs, he experienced fear, hunger, and deep mistrust in the world. By age six, he was already wondering, "There must be a way people can live in harmony." That question became the compass of his life. As Erasmus grew, so did his search for answers. He studied science, biology, psychology, and medicine, only to find these disciplines offered fragmented insights—not the holistic understanding he craved. Psychology taught thoughts and emotions but never soul. Medicine spoke endlessly about disease, but ignored health. The deeper questions remained: What is life? What is health? What is our nature? The Forgotten Inner Foundation Udo argues that every human being carries within them a core of peace, love, and wisdom—an unchanging, ever-present essence often buried under layers of distraction, trauma, and disconnection. He compares the human experience to our time in the womb, where we were suspended in pure being: no stress, no external demands, only awareness and peace. As we grow and adapt to the world, we often lose touch with this foundational state, leading to what Erasmus calls the universal ache of disconnection: heartache. Heartache is not a weakness or failure, but a signal—a call to return to ourselves. Much like thirst points us to water, heartache points us back to the source of our own being. Energy First, Matter Second A central idea in Erasmus's philosophy is that energy—not matter—is the origin and master of life. From the Big Bang to a blossoming flower, from the light in our cells to the love in our hearts, all life is governed by the flow of energy. While science seeks to understand the body through external observation, it often misses the experiential truth that life is already managing countless functions within us without our conscious control. He points to the sun as the ultimate source: it fuels plants, feeds animals, and animates human beings. From Self to Service For over 50 years, Erasmus has engaged in a daily practice to reconnect with the inner foundation of peace. Triggered by an early psychedelic experience and catalyzed by a mystical vision, he found that the answers he was chasing through intellectual study were already inside him. This practice is not religious nor scientific—it is experiential. It begins with recognizing heartache and using it as a portal inward. Once grounded in inner peace and health, Erasmus believes we naturally shift our focus from self-preservation to service. "When I feel cared for by life itself, I can ask: Where can I help?" This is the foundation for total global health—each person becoming whole, and from that wholeness, contributing to the healing of others and the planet. Erasmus's vision is not utopian fantasy. It is grounded in biology, physics, and firsthand experience. We already have the tools: sunlight, breath, food, rest, love, and awareness. By turning inward and honoring both nature and human nature, we reclaim our wholeness and can build a world rooted in health and harmony. In this podcast you'll learn... How childhood trauma can become a compass for finding universal harmony Why heartache is actually a signal pointing us back to our true nature The role of energy vs. matter in understanding life and health Practical approaches to reconnecting with your inner foundation of peace How personal wholeness naturally leads to global service and healing EPISODE RESOURCES: Website Facebook Instagram
