On this episode of *Remy's Roundtable: The Florida Theme Park Podcast*, we welcome Nicole, Chris, and Mike to the show for an exciting discussion filled with theme park updates, sports milestones, and Disney magic. Remy kicks things off with breaking news about a fire that broke out near the France Pavilion at EPCOT. Thankfully, no one was injured, but thick smoke filled the area, causing quite a scene for guests. During *The Latest Theme Park Updates*, we dive into more news from Florida's theme parks, including a major moment for Orlando basketball fans—Dwight Howard has been officially inducted into the Orlando Magic Hall of Fame. You'll even hear Dwight's full speech as he reflects on his career and legacy. For *Mike's Munchies*, Mike takes us on an intergalactic dining experience at Space 220 in EPCOT. While the atmosphere and theming are out of this world, Remy wasn't impressed with the steep prices, ultimately giving the restaurant a **2-star rating**. To close out the show, Nicole brings a touch of Disney nostalgia with her segment *Nicole's Music Notes*, breaking down the timeless classic **“Some Day My Prince Will Come”** from *Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs*. So sit back, relax, and enjoy this latest episode of *Remy's Roundtable: The Florida Theme Park Podcast*!

If you want to take great photos of your Disney outfits at Walt Disney World, there are five great spots that will consistently deliver exceptional photos for your social media feed or personal photo album. Want to be Disney fashion influencer? Here's how to get started with great Disney style photos. The Five Best Photo Spots at Walt Disney World to Show Off an Outfit What to Consider to Get the Best Photos of Your Disney Outfits at Disney WorldThe best time for photos under natural light is first thing in the morning or later in the afternoon (which generally will provide softer golden lighting. Overcast days and shaded areas are also great for providing picture perfect diffused and muted light. So if you are serious about getting a great photo for your social feed or to become a fashion/style influencer, get to your photo spot first thing in the morning. This will provide the best lighting and the lowest crowds. By going early, the lower crowds mean that, at worst, you can use AI great to remove one or two errant people in the photo. But beyond one or two people, it can get trickier. Unless you are going for the blurred crowd effect (which is something to try if you find yourself in that situation). Focal length, aperture and the distance to your subject can all affect how the final photo turns out. Plus, for scenic views you need to consider whether the background will be busy or uniform, and whether it will be blurred or more in focus. All of this makes a difference in your final photo. You can adjust much of this in post production using apps, but the more that you consider up front, the less work you will have to do later. Five of the Best Outdoor Scenic Photo Locations for Disney Style 1. Cinderella Castle As a classic icon, Cinderella Castle has several vantage points that are perfect for unique and stylized fashion shots. This does not include the standard head-on shot from Main Street (where the PhotoPass photographers are positioned). Look for a unique angle on either side of the castle, with some good spots towards the back. 2. Grand Floridian Resort Disney's Grand Floridian Resort offers a ton of first rate outdoor photo spots. From sprawling green lawns, to great florals and tropical gardens, to beach photos and backgrounds of Seven Seas Lagoon, you can always find a great photo spot here. Of course, the white and red color palette of the majestic buildings are also picture perfect. 3. Disney Boardwalk The Walt Disney World Boardwalk has a number of options for unique and interesting fashion and style photos. From benches on the wooden boardwalk, to vistas of the Crescent Lake and the Yacht and Beach Club hotels in the distance, you will have the potential to get a ton of great shots here. If you are looking for that magical late afternoon golden hour sunlight, the Boardwalk area is perfect for that photo-friendly natural lighting. 4. EPCOT: Morocco Pavilion, France Pavilion, By the fence around to World Showcase LagoonWhile EPCOT has no shortage of first-rate photo opp locations for fashion and style photos, there are two or three that stand out as top picks to explore. At the very back of the Morocco Pavilion, you will find a wonderful location with great lighting, interesting backdrops and few crowds. Nearby in the France Pavilion is another great area where you can capture some fashion and style photos featuring the charm of old Europe. For the France area, you will need to go early in the day for the optimal nature light and the lowest crowds. Also in EPCOT, the blue water of World Showcase Lagoon can make a nice blurred background. Finding a location along the black iron rails next to the water can make for some excellent photos, assuming you time it right with the sun low in the sky or on an overcast day. 5. Animal Kingdom: Harambe Marketplace area, Animal Kingdom (Fichwa Fellow Wall, with Mickey Mouse, You are Most Beautiful wall) Over at Disney's Animal Kingdom Park, the Harambe Marketplace are is filled with colorful backdrops and unique textures that can make for some excellent photo opps. The great thing about this area is that unlike some of the other popular Disney photo wall locations (which don't have enough room to create distance between the camera, subject and backdrop), the Harambe area provides the perfect opportunity to set up for some great fashion photos. Planning Your Disney Fashion Photos in Advance is Worth the Effort Putting some thought into the photos before you take them will make a difference in the end result. If you are aiming to get some like-worthy fashion photos for your Instagram or social feed, then the extra effort and thought will pay off.Thank You for Listening to the Disney Travel Style PodcastThank you very much for listening to this episode, we that you enjoyed it. Hi All, This week, we are excited to present a special interview with a former Imagineer, John Mayberry. A sound engineering specialist, he was involved in the early creation of several EPCOT Center attractions, most notably, the France Pavilion, and has graciously taken some time out to recount some inside tales about the creation of early EPCOT Center Attractions with us. Mr. Mayberry's fascinating stories are told honestly, frankly, and with much affection for the creations he took part in. Hope you enjoy this special interview! #wdwreflectionspodcast #imagineer #waltdisneyworld #epcotcenter #francepavillion #horizons #spaceshipearth #disneyimagineer #disneysound --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/wdw-reflections-podcast/support

Soundscapes: Impressions de France For those who crave the original Epcot experiences, Impressions de France fits the bill: it has been playing every day that the park has been open since 1982. To top it off, the movie is set to a musical score written and arranged by Disney Legend, Buddy Baker, the man behind the music of The Haunted Mansion and If You Had Wings. For Impressions de France, Baker masterfully integrated original composition with works by celebrated French composers. And for those of us whose wanderlust fills our daydreams and inspires our desire to discover new places, explore new landscapes, and uncover unknown stories...Impressions de France is a feast for the imagination. Impressions tells the story of the France that once was, the joy of France that lives on today, and the Magic of France that always will be. And it invites us to be part of a unique and ephemeral moment in time...yet a moment that we get to enjoy again, and again. At least for now. And this is why I found it so important to share it with you. And I hope that, like me, you find its soundtrack calming and that it inspires you to visit this attraction, in person, the next time you visit Epcot Center. ----- Want More Here With The Magic? From culture to cuisine, cities to countryside, and the undeniable charisma of its people, it distinguishes this space from every other international vignette we find Here in EPCOT. “Joie de vivre” is loosely translated to mean an exuberant joy of life. It may be experienced as a joy of everything, a comprehensive joy, a philosophy of life. Greater than emotion and more lasting than happiness, it's a resiliency of spirit that can be found just as easily on a crowded street in Paris as in the fragrant lavender fields of Provence. The layout of the France Pavilion is themed to its most popular city, Paris. It's meant to evoke the feel of a Parisian neighborhood with enchanting touches including wide boulevards, elegant rose gardens, fountains, and fascinating architecture matching the Belle Epoque era. The space is, of course, complete with the Eiffel Tower looming in the distance waiting to greet those who wish to explore the beauty of the pavilion in which it resides. It's no wonder why the France pavilion is often cited as a favorite among World Showcase guests. Soothed by the gentle splash of water and the lullaby of period music, we are swept away by the allure of the City of Light and off on a sensory adventure. At its essence, “joie de vivre” is the joy we speak to so often around Here - the experience we invite when we pause and allow the Magic to come to us, to immerse ourselves in a story that our spirit knows by feeling, but not by name. It is indulgence - in every taste and smell and breathtaking sight - in the moments all around us which inspire reflection and elation, tranquility and delight. We who are compelled to wander for the sake of wandering embark upon journeys for the sake of fulfilling an inherent need to go, to explore…to dwell richly in every moment and experience all the joy of life that comes from being Here With the Magic. Come along with me as we walk the streets of this intoxicating pavilion. On every street corner, in every café, in every springtime bloom and autumn breeze, whispers of joy stir the soul of every curious human spirit. Can you hear it? Welcome to France.
Kim and Rob are back again with another set of reviews encompassing their experience at the Fall 2021 Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. Stick around to the end of the episode for a major announcement regarding this podcast! But in our main topic this week we're profiling Epcot's upcoming new attraction Remy's Ratatouille Adventure. Long delayed due to the pandemic, this attraction is opening with a new expansion of the France pavilion on October 1st. Music by Colin Paul
Remy's Ratatouille Adventure is set to open in the France Pavilion of Epcot's World Showcase on October 1st, 2021. Part of the Walt Disney World's 50th Anniversary Celebration, the World's Most Magical Celebration. We got out first look Inside Remy's Ratatouille Adventure in December 2019, a few months after the official announcement at the D23 Expo, part of the multi-year reimagination of Epcot. At the time, Remey's Ratatouille Adventure was planned to open in the “Summer 2020,”, which well, Not exactly this Covid thing happened. We watched the construction from our Disney's Skyliner gondola until the announcement that the opening day was moving to October 1st 2021 to co-inside with the 50th anniversary. The expansion is more than a single attraction, Disney is touting this new expansion as a “Mini-Land,” extending the existing France Pavilion, all part of Epcot's historic multi-year transformation. Remy, the “little chef” from Disney and Pixar's “Ratatouille”, has a passion for food, a passion that goes well beyond good taste – he's on a continual quest of creativity and innovation, making him the perfect inspiration for the expansion. The expansion includes both Remy's Ratatouille Adventure, a new family-friendly attraction inviting guests into the larger-than-life world of “Ratatouille.” Along with La Creperie de Paris, a new restaurant offering authentic French cuisine with both table- and quick-service options. The opening of the expansion marks a milestone in the multi-year transformation of EPCOT, a new generation of immersive storytelling at Epcot, Blending Real-World France with Whimsical Paris from ‘Ratatouille'. https://youtu.be/a31yPW5ur4g

This week, Keesha Davenport shares the story of her EPCOT wedding, with a ceremony in the Germany Pavilion and a reception at Terrace des Fleurs! Keesha and Adam chose Germany for their ceremony because Adam was born in Germany and was stationed there in the Air Force. Their reception was originally planned for Ariel‘s, but due to Disney’s COVID-19-related capacity restrictions, Keesha and Adam chose to move it to the France Pavilion to avoid having to be in a ballroom—a decision that allowed them to get photos with two of EPCOT’s character cavalcades! Today Keesha discusses planning a wedding under Disney’s COVID protocols and shares her best tips for anyone in a similar situation. Click here to see all the photos!

Here's our rundown of what we talked about: Cheddar from the Big CheeseMike: Statement from Bob Chapek, CEO of The Walt Disney Company regarding Disneyland reopening: "Here in California, we're encouraged by the positive trends we're seeing and we're hopeful they'll continue to improve and we'll be able to reopen our Parks to guests with limited capacity by late April -- we look forward to publicizing an opening date in the coming weeks. While last week's announcement stated that theme parks may open starting on April 1, the fact is it will take some time to get them ready for our guests -- this includes recalling more than 10,000 furloughed Cast and retraining them to be able to operate according to the State of California's new requirements. I am pleased to say the response has been great thus far, our Cast Members are excited to get back to work. And this is also good news for the Anaheim community, which depends on Disneyland for jobs and business generated by visitors."Sophie: Raya and the Last Dragon premiered in theaters and on Disney+ on the 5th, and it took home the top spot in the earnings charts!Brenda: Coming October 1st, in addition to the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary: Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure at the France Pavilion in EPCOT! What we covered in this episode Baker Matthieu Cabon believes that artisan bread is popular today because of an evolution in taste and people are tired of white bread. The main difference between industrial bread and artisan bread in "TIME", says Matthieu Cabon. Between bakers, we judge ourselves with the baguette and the croissant, but personally my favorite bread to taste would be an artisan country loaf.Matthieu Cabon says that the main difference between the bread preference in France and in the US is cultural. American bread is soft (like in Asia), and French people like their bread overcooked. The nice contrast between the crust and the soft inside of the bread comes from the humid atmosphere in the professional oven that allow the dough to rise one last time in the oven.Matthieu Cabon talks about his youth in Brittany, France, and what made him decide to become a baker. The dough is made with three ingredients - flour, salt, and water. But a lot of parameters impact the flavors of the bread - the outside temperature, the atmospheric pressure, the quality of the water, and the type of flour.Matthieu Cabon worked at Joel Robuchon at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas as head baker. Then he became the chef baker of the France Pavilion designed by Paul Bocuse at Disney’s Epcot Center. Finally, he became a business partner with his friend Otto Sanchez and opened a French bakery in Houston called Magnol.Link to the podcast episode on Apple Podcast https://bit.ly/matthieu_cabon Links to other episodes in Houston Chef Chris Shepherd - UB PreservChef Drake Leonards - Eunice Submitted questions from podcast listeners The 7 step process of bread making1. I like cheese with baguettes because that way I can really taste the cheese and not the bread. If the bread is too sour, you will have a wrong combination of flavors in your mouth. And if you really buy the cheese for the cheese, I will eat it with the baguette. #gallery-3 { margin: auto; } #gallery-3 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 25%; } #gallery-3 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-3 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */ Sourdough Bread @magnol Bakery in Houston Brisket bread @Magnol Bakery in Houston

http://www.attractionchecklist.com - Join Grant Baciocco and John B. deHaas as they head to the France Pavilion in Epcot to watch and review the new Beauty And The Beast Sing-Along. Recorded on January 16, 2020. TRANSCRIPT: Welcome to Attraction Checklist. This episode we head to the France Pavilion in Epcot’s World Showcase to check out the new Beauty And The Beast Sing-Along. The Epcot guide map describes this film by saying: Sing Along while enjoying a twist on this tale as old as time. Since this is a film there are no age or height requirements for the show. Before we venture to The Beast’s castle, here are five fast facts about the Beauty And The Beast Sing-Along. 1. On November 17, 2018, it was announced at D23 that the Beauty And The Beast Sing-Along would be coming to the France Pavilion in Epcot. While it had a few soft openings, the film officially debuted at Epcot on January 17, 2020. 2. The Beauty And The Beast Sing-Along was created by Don Hahn who is the producer of both the animated and live-action Beauty and the Beast films. 3. The Sing-Along is narrated by Angela Lansbury, the voice of Mrs. Potts from the original film and Jessi Corti, the original voice of LeFou in the animated film returned to record new dialog for this film. 4. Not only were some of the original voice actors brought back, some of the animated film’s animators returned to create all new animation for the production. 5. As of this recording, The Beauty And The Beast Sing-Along runs most of the day at the France Pavilion but in the evenings, the Pavilion’s original film, Impressions de France returns to the same screen and runs until parks close. Now let’s check out the new Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along. Joining me once again is John B. deHaas and after the show we’ll give you our thoughts on this attraction. And don’t worry, we don’t sing along with the show which is good because this is a binaural recording! Get your headphones as we head to Epcot for the Beauty And The Beast Sing-Along! This is a special episode that I recorded with three artist friends: Kate Davis, Ash Perry and Ramo Zeroual in Venice in June this year. Unplanned, we found each other in Venice for 2019 Venice Biennale at the same time. This gave me a great opportunity to make an episode about 2019 Venice Biennale and to share some our thoughts on this major global art event. Please forgive the noises on the background, (church bell hitting the right time, ladies on street chatting, dog barking..:)) But I hope what we discussed is interesting enough to overcome these flaws. Overview: Today's podcast is a tribute to the France pavilion. I take a thorough look at the design, layout, theming, and talk about the infamous move that is shown: Impressions de France. Then, I spend some time talking about shopping and dining. Its another of Epcot's opening-day pavilions, so take a visit to Paris with me. Notes: The France Pavilion represents what we think of as the romantic city of Paris in the Springtime. Its a wonderful tribute to the city of Lights, with its architecture and the Eiffel Tower. A reminder that the general overview of Epcot's World Showcase is in podcast #208 I explored the Japan pavilion in podcast #209 the Germany pavilion is in Podcast #216 Mexico is in Podcast #233 Canada is in Podcast #240 China is in Podcast #245 The American Adventure is in Podcast #254 The UK pavilion is in Podcast #259 --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/daves-disney-view/message

Bonjour et bienvenue to Disney Philharpodcast! In this episode we learn facts we should already know about the France Pavilion, one of the opening day World Showcase Pavilions in Epcot. This incredible pavilion has everything: Alison's favorite ________, comfortable chairs and air conditioning, Chanel No. 5, half baguettes, a secret restaurant (shhh), wool sweaters from the 80's, and things with posters! And don't think an episode dedicated to such a beautiful, romantic, perfectly themed space managed to skate by without a mention of The Shaggy Dog starring Tim Allen... @disneyphilharpodcast @disphilharpod
