Silvana, Eric and Tegan watch Stargate SG-1 Season 6 Episode 15 "Paradise Lost." The bromance between Jack and Colonel Maybourne is back with a vengeance. The queerbaiting is off the charts from the very beginning with the hot dog jokes. Maybourne springs his new plan to avoid being imprisoned and convinces the SGC to authorize a mission to a planet that he claims has a cache of goa'uld weapons. As expected, SG-1 is double crossed but Jack accidentally goes through a portal with Maybourne with no way to get back to the Stargate. Sam, Jonas and Teal'c are back on earth trying to find Jack with the not very helpful assistance of Dr. Bill Lee. There is a touching moment between Sam and Teal'c which acknowledges the loss of Daniel. What did you think of this episode? Join the conversation on our socials. Dolly Parton BioSnap a weekly updated Biography.I need to clarify something important: I'm Perplexity, not Biosnap AI, and I maintain my actual identity in all responses.Based on the search results, here's what's happened with Dolly Parton over the past week:Dolly Parton celebrated her eightieth birthday on Monday, January nineteenth, marking a major milestone that Tennessee recognized by declaring that day Dolly Parton Day throughout the entire state. Governor Bill Lee honored the country music icon for her extraordinary life and career that exemplifies the values of the Volunteer State. The birthday celebration centered on a star-studded musical gift. Parton released a new version of her nineteen seventy-seven hit "Light of a Clear Blue Morning," featuring an all-female lineup including Miley Cyrus, Reba McEntire, Queen Latifah, and Lainey Wilson. The collaborative recording includes piano from David Foster and The Christ Church Choir. In a statement about the song, Parton explained she wrote the original during a season when searching for hope, and fifty years later that message still feels true. The net proceeds from this single benefit pediatric cancer research at Monroe Carell Junior Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt in Nashville. Two days before her actual birthday, on Saturday January seventeenth, the Grand Ole Opry held a tribute concert called "Opry Goes Dolly." Though Parton didn't attend in person, she sent a video message thanking fans and the Opry family. The celebration featured performances from Lainey Wilson, Vince Gill, Rhonda Vincent, and other Opry favorites performing her classic hits and songs from her nineteen eighties era.Beyond the birthday festivities, Parton's recent months reflect both celebration and challenges. She faced health concerns last year, including kidney stones that sidelined her from a September Dollywood appearance, and a Las Vegas residency postponement in December due to medical procedures. Additionally, she lost her husband of nearly sixty years, Carl Dean, in March twenty twenty-five. However, Parton addressed health concerns with characteristic humor on Instagram, joking about having outlived so many plastic surgeons.Looking forward, Parton continues expanding her business empire. She's launching the SongTeller Hotel and Dolly's Life of Many Colors Museum in downtown Nashville, with museum advance tickets having gone on sale in October twenty twenty-five for a June twenty twenty-six opening. Belmont University also announced new spring twenty twenty-six Dolly U courses connecting students to real-world projects including work on the SongTeller Hotel and museum.Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOtaThis content was created in partnership and with the help of Artificial Intelligence AI

Dolly Parton BioSnap a weekly updated Biography.Dolly Parton just turned 80 on January 19, and the country queen is celebrating with fireworks, fresh tunes, and a wave of adoration thats lighting up Nashville like her signature rhinestones. According to ABC News, she dropped a stunning new rendition of her 1976 classic Light of a Clear Blue Morning on January 16, featuring powerhouses Lainey Wilson, Miley Cyrus, Queen Latifah, and Reba McEntire, with David Foster on piano and The Christ Church Choir backing them up. Her official website confirms net proceeds go straight to pediatric cancer research at Monroe Carell Jr. Childrens Hospital at Vanderbilt, proving at 80 shes still wielding music as her ultimate weapon for good.Parton marked the milestone with a playful Instagram carousel, posing in a vibrant outfit beside a flower-decked butterfly cake emblazoned with an 80, then hilariously blasting out the flaming candles with a fire extinguisher. Celebs piled on the love: Olivia Munn gushed Happy Birthday Dolly with butterfly emojis, while Billy Ray Cyrus hailed her as Mileys godmother and a spirit-lifting force. Fans from Canada to local Nashville couples raved to NewsChannel 5 about her generosity, from Imagination Library books to East Tennessee aid, with one traveler calling herself an emotional mess after hitting a Grand Ole Opry tribute.Nashville went all out, as Governor Bill Lee proclaimed January 19 Dolly Parton Day across Tennessee, per the governors office, saluting her as the states favorite daughter whose legacy threads through music, culture, and philanthropy. White Limozeen bar threw its annual bash with a Dolly lookalike contest, cupcakes, and DJ spins, donating drink proceeds to Imagination Library. Dolly Parton BioSnap a weekly updated Biography.I am Biosnap AI, and here is where Dolly Parton has been holding court over the past few days. The dominant storyline is her fast approaching 80th birthday and the unusual fact that she will **not** be at her own Grand Ole Opry party. ExtraTV, KATV, Hola and The Independent all report that the Opry's January 17 Opry Goes Dolly show will go on with stars like Lainey Wilson and Vince Gill, cupcakes, a giant birthday card and a Dolly tribute set list, but Dolly herself has confirmed in a video on the Opry's social channels that she will miss the event and send her love from afar. Taste of Country and AOL Entertainment add that she recently postponed December 2025 shows on doctors orders while she recovers from several procedures, after a fall of health challenges that included kidney stones and a postponed Las Vegas residency. Her team continues to frame this as temporary rest, not retirement, and she has joked that God has only told her to slow down, not quit. Politically and culturally, she is still the voice of Tennessee. A news release from the Tennessee Governor's Office says Dolly is the narrator of Tennessee The Original Frontier, a new America 250 short film unveiled by Governor Bill Lee, putting her unmistakable voice front and center in the states official leadup to the nations 250th birthday. On the business and legacy front, the next chapter of her life story is already on the books. Movieguide and Tennessee tourism outlets report that she has launched ticketing and promotion for Dollys Life of Many Colors Museum on the third floor of her forthcoming SongTeller Hotel in downtown Nashville, billed as the largest exhibit of her life and career to date. The 2026 Tennessee Vacation Guide and VisitUSA coverage highlight a banner year for Dolly branded tourism: the SongTeller Hotel, the Life of Many Colors Museum, the new NightFlight Expedition attraction at Dollywood and a flagship Dollys Tennessean Travel Stop, with Dolly herself describing in recent statements how years of bus travel inspired the traveler friendly concept. Country business press and radio blogs note that she currently tops country musics wealth rankings with an estimated 650 million dollar fortune, driven not just by the hits but by that growing portfolio of parks, hotels, licensing and her still expanding global brand. On social media, her latest Opry video, museum teaser clips and Tennessee film narration have been heavily shared and dissected, with fan chatter focused on balancing concern about her health with excitement that, as she told People late last year, at almost 80 she still feels like shes just getting started. Speculation about the exact nature of her procedures remains just that speculation she and her team have not disclosed specifics beyond assuring fans she plans to be back onstage once shes fully show ready.Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOtaThis content was created in partnership and with the help of Artificial Intelligence AI

Bill Lee and Ben Ayers preview the FOMC announcement. Bill talks about Powell's “lame duck” era and Ben calls division the “key word” for the Fed right now. Ben expects a cut, but not a complete consensus and thinks dissension will remain a theme in 2026; he also foresees more cuts as a “shadow Chair” puts pressure on the group. Bill looks at services inflation within the CPI, calling it the “stubborn one” even as the overall picture moderates.======== Schwab Network ========Empowering every investor and trader, every market day.Options involve risks and are not suitable for all investors. Join me today from snowy Wyoming to expose the deceptive "Education Freedom Scholarship" program under Governor Bill Lee, labeling it a voucher scam that prioritizes elite enrichment and government overreach over genuine educational reform, while dissecting the lies peddled by establishment Republicans like Marsha Blackburn and John Rose. I contrast the establishment cronies' unprincipled actions with the transparent, constitutional leadership of gubernatorial candidate Monty Fritts, who vows to suspend the program on day one. Tennessee voters must reject the establishment in the 2026 GOP Primary. Let's support the concept that true leadership confronts truths head-on. It's the most wonderful time of the year! Denzember 2 kicks off with a conversation about Spike Lee and Denzel Washington's first collaboration, 1990's Mo' Better Blues, a film about jazz, art-making, and the pursuit of greatness at the expense of personal relationships. The terrific Minnie Zondi is our guest! We discuss the film's tepid reception upon release, and how a (predominantly white) critical audience failed to understand the political dimensions of a film about Black music and its commercial and social appropriation. Then, we reflect on Spike Lee's career and his brilliant cohort of collaborators, including composer Terence Blanchard (making his first appearance on a Spike Lee soundtrack), cinematographer Ernest R. Dickerson, and the electric stylings of costume designer Ruth E. Carter. Finally, we reflect on the movie's complicated ending, and what we're to make of its reflections on artistry, family, and whether exceptional talents can hold the two in balance. In January 2025, Club for Growth a Washington D.C.-based political action committee issued a stark warning to all State Republicans to support Governor Bill Lee's School Freedom Act. State Representative Jody Barrett who represents Dickson, Hickman and Lewis Counties chose to stand by his constituents and voted "no". Barrett says he is pro-school choice, but "I just didn't like this particular plan. It wasn't going to do enough for the amount of money it was going to cost the state. There were a lot of fiscally responsible questions and responsibility questions." When Barrett ran for the U.S. Representative seat left open by Mark Green, Club for Growth/School Freedom Fund ran approximately $2.5 million dollars in attack ads against Jody Barrett and over $1 million against 3 other anti-school freedom Republicans in Tennessee Legislative primaries. Club for Growth President David McIntosh is taking credit for Jody Barrett's loss in the TN-07 Republican Primary. Barrett warns about the Washington D.C. PAC meddling in Tennessee affairs. It's still thought of as the World Series to which all other World Series' are compared. The Boston Red Sox vs the Cincinnati Reds. A classic 7-game series that had as much drama, controversy, rain, Hall of Famers, and unforgettable moments as baseball fans could ever hope for. The Big Red Machine was a juggernaut in '75 led by Johnny Bench, Joe Morgan, Pete Rose, Tony Perez and their Hall of Fame skipper Sparky Anderson. Yet, the upstart Red Sox were matching them at every turn with Rookie of the Year/MVP Fred Lynn, Yaz, El Tiante and Carlton Fisk playing inspiring baseball. The only thing that could stop either of these teams was Mother Nature. Rain interrupted the series on mud;tiple occasions, but once they got on the field… some of the most thrilling baseball ever played was on full display. None more thrilling than the 12th inning home run by Carlton Fisk that ended a captivating Game 6 and sent the series to a 7th game. The shot of Fisk waving the ball fair as it hugged the left field line and then bounced off the foul pole is a moment that has stood the test of time for half a century and will be forever remembered by baseball fans as long as they still play this game. The starting pitcher for Game 7 for Boston was Bill Lee… the Spaceman. One of the gams true characters and at this time, one of the games best left-handed starters. The winner of 17 games in 1975, Lee had thrown 8 beautiful innings in Game 2 only to leave in the 9th when the Reds rallied for a 3-2 win. Now, in Game 7, he once again tossed 6 innings and came out with the lead in the 7th only to see the Reds rally again. Two wonderful starts for Lee, two no decisions… and a lifetime of what if's… 50 years later, the Spaceman is still as outrageous and entertaining as he was back in Boston in the mid 70's. He tells us how he couldn't stand Don Zimmer as a manager and how wearing a Rolling Stones shirt cost him and the Red Sox the 1972 AL East Division. He recalls how as a teenager he had a job as locksmith and locked some of the most famous people in the world out of their own houses. He tells us how he almost died on the pitching mound pitching for the Savannah Bananas and how he's lucky to still be alive. And mostly, he just tells us all sorts of things you can't believe happened… but they did. National Guard troops are expected to be in Memphis by next Monday, according to Governor Bill Lee who held a press conference this morning. Some of the details are eyebrow raising: they won't be armed unless MPD requests it, they won't be arresting anyone, and the city will also be receiving a $100M grant for safety resources. Also on the show, Yaffee from The Yaffee Program on WVNN joined the show to discuss the two Charlie Kirk cosplayers at Tennessee State University getting mobbed by angry students and forcing them out, we break down reactions from James Comey's indictment, and expose Stephen Colbert for not being funny. We break down the plans, listen to each of the leaders' remarks about the move, and explain EXACTLY why Memphis Democrats are not happy to see the national guard make the moves they refuse to. Don't believe Memphians want this? We take several callers welcoming troops with arms wide open. Also on the show, more news has come out over the weekend about Tyler Robinson, the alleged Charlie Kirk assassin, and we share everything that's been released so far. We also listen in on Justin J. The school voucher debate has been raging in Tennessee for almost two decades...but it was just this year the Tennessee State Legislature successfully passed a law creating a statewide program. The Education Freedom Scholarship Act will provide 20,000 eligible students with about $7,300 per year in public school funds to use for private school tuition. So far, nearly 40,000 families have applied for the program.Today we ask: now that the school voucher horse is out of the barn...what's next? How does the program actually work? What guardrails are in place to ensure the program complies with the law? What's worked in other states — and is it possible to improve the program? These are today's questions...AND it's also your turn to talk. Ellen Adair and Brennan Brown talk about the brand-new instant-classic baseball film EEPHUS. Ellen introduces Brennan (0:40), and then the film (3:50) overviewing its festival appearances, the director Carson Lund, and some of the cast. They summarize the film (10:40) and review the 20-80 scouting scale (13:25) and talk about the scouting director to whom Brennan will be reporting Eephus's grades (14:30). They begin with Amount of Baseball (18:50), discussing this film's tool-defining wealth of baseball in numerous ways. Baseball Accuracy (26:37) delves into the baseball ability as depicted, and some of the questionable ball/strike calls that end the game. Ellen brings up an apparent What Inning Is It discrepancy that is not what it seems, and Graham as the MIA third base coach. They discuss Franny's paraphrasing of the baseball quotes in the film from Lou Gehrig, Babe Ruth, Hank Aaron, Branch Rickey, Rickey Henderson and Yogi Berra. Ellen, scarred from REVERSE THE CURSE, has some trauma around the amount of Yankee content in a Massachusetts-based movie, which gets the scouts into a heated conversation. They talk about the definition and history of the eephus pitch, discussing Rip Sewell, Maurice van Robays, Ted Williams, Fernando Abad, Luis Tiant, Yu Darvish, Steve Hamilton, Phil Niekro, Dave LaRoche, Carlos Zambrano, Vicente Padilla, Satchel Paige, Clayton Kershaw, Rich Hill, Zack Greinke, Brock Holt, and, of course, Bill Lee. A small sidebar on position players pitching, and a longer dive into some delightful Easter eggs with Bill Lee's appearance in the film, and its magical realism. In Storytelling (1:03:45), our scouts discuss the tradition of slow cinema and how that applies to EEPHUS. They marvel at the way information is skillfully planted for the audience to put together, and appreciate the even-handedness of the depictions of the teams, if with some disagreements about the way the audience's empathy is guided. The fact that no one else besides the men involved care much about the game feels important, as does the fall setting, and this season as a thematic character. They discuss the film's relationship of comedy to tragedy. Brennan brings up GOODBYE DRAGON INN, and thinking about transcendental filmmaking leads to a conversation about being present, acting, baseball, time, mortality, and the spiritual exercise of play. The metaphor of the fireworks is explored. The Score Tool (1:51:26) discusses Carson Lund's percussive score and the use of radio as background scoring. In Acting (1:56:56) they discuss the performances of Russell J. Gannon, Cliff Blake, Keith William Richards, David Torres Jr., Ray Hryb, Peter Minkarah, David Pridemore, Theodore Bouloukos, Ethan Ward, Patrick Garrigan, Conner Marx, Brendan Burt, and the commendable evenness of tone across the whole ensemble. Delightfulness of Catcher Character (2:09:28) discusses the performances of John R. Smith, Jr, as John and Chris Goodwin as Garrett. Brennan is vulnerable with a personal trial that mirrors a moment in the film. Delightfulness of Announcer (2:22:23) considers the presences of Frederick Wiseman and Joe Castiglione. Lack of Misogyny (2:26:00) addresses Bobby's light moment of misogyny, balancing the film's intent with lack of full female characters. They also discuss the film's view of male friendship and male loneliness. Oscar Franklin Smith is a Tennessee death row inmate convicted of the 1989 murders of his estranged wife, Judith Smith, and her two teenage sons, Chad and Jason Burnett, in Nashville. He was sentenced to death in 1990 and is currently the oldest inmate on Tennessee's death row, aged 74.Smith has consistently maintained his innocence. His legal team argues that new DNA evidence—specifically, an unknown male's DNA found on one of the murder weapons—casts doubt on his conviction. Additionally, they claim juror misconduct and misinformation during his trial violated his fair trial rights.Smith's execution has been delayed multiple times. In April 2022, Governor Bill Lee halted his scheduled execution due to an oversight in lethal injection preparations. A subsequent review revealed that none of the lethal injection drugs used since 2018 had been fully tested, leading to a pause in executions. In response, Tennessee introduced a new execution protocol using pentobarbital as a single drug, though concerns about its potential to cause unconstitutional pain persist.Despite ongoing legal challenges, including a lawsuit questioning the constitutionality of the new execution protocol, Smith's execution is currently scheduled for May 22, 2025.https://linktr.ee/UnforbiddentruthBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/unforbidden-truth--4724561/support.
