Armor modeling enthusiasts, mark your calendars! In this deep-dive conversation with Neil Stokes, newly elected President of the Armor Modeling and Preservation Society (AMPS), we unveil everything you need to know about the upcoming AMPS International Convention taking place May 15-17, 2025, at the Penn Harris Hotel in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania.Neal shares details about what promises to be their biggest show yet, with approximately 700 competition models expected and over 110 vendor tables already booked. Located just across the river from Harrisburg and near both Hershey Park and Gettysburg Battlefield, the venue offers convenience for attendees and activities for accompanying family members. What sets AMPS apart from other modeling competitions? Every single entry receives written feedback from judges, helping modelers understand their strengths and areas for improvement. This educational approach has fostered an incredibly high standard of craftsmanship that continues to impress even veteran attendees.Beyond the competition floor, visitors can look forward to special attractions including "Lady Lois," a full-scale M3A1 Stuart tank on display Friday, an extensive raffle, and seven specialized seminars including four hands-on workshops covering advanced modeling techniques. This year's theme is "African Armor," encompassing everything from World War II North African campaign vehicles to modern conflict equipment. Neil offers insight into AMPS' strategic future, actively reaching out to "armor-adjacent" modeling communities including sci-fi, Gundam, and Warhammer enthusiasts. These newer modelers often enter the hobby through different cultural influences but bring tremendous talent and fresh perspectives that enrich the traditional armor modeling community.Whether you're a dedicated armor modeler, curious about expanding your skills, or simply love meticulously crafted miniatures, the AMPS International Convention offers something for everyone.Model Paint SolutionsYour source for Harder & Steenbeck Airbrushes and David Union Power ToolsSQUADRON Adding to the stash since 1968Model PodcastsPlease check out the other pods in the modelsphere!PMM Merchandise StoreSupport the show with PMM Merchandise!Disclaimer: This post contains affiliate links. This week, Rachel Feinstein takes a seat in The Wayback! (Check out her special "Big Guy" on Netflix).  In this episode, Rachel and Ryan both get nostalgic about growing up in Maryland in the 1980s.  Rachel reminisces about long car trips in her parents Datsun station wagon "barfmobile," summer vacations in Ocean City and Rehoboth, and always wanting to look like Tawny Kitaen and Kelly LeBrock.  Rachel also goes in depth about her weird family, spearheaded by her dad who refused to wash anything denim and still uses his Walkman to this day!  Then Rachel and Ryan trade stories about trips to Hershey Park in Central Pennsylvania, where Ryan rode the Sooper Dooper Looper, and Rachel's dad got taken away in an ambulance after trying to "hurl" her brother. Host Jeff Revilla welcomes three guests to play three rounds of high stakes trivia. How AI Watched this Episode:If you'd like to create AI driven summaries from your audio content, check out Castmagic.ioGAME SUMMARYWelcome to another thrilling episode of "Stuff I Never Knew," the trivia game show podcast where guests compete in a series of challenging and entertaining rounds to showcase their knowledge on a wide array of topics. Hosted by the ever-enthusiastic Jeff Revilla, this episode features three formidable contestants: Megan, Ayla, and Bintou. Each contestant brings their unique flair and knowledge to the table, guaranteeing an exciting and unpredictable episode. Joined by the laughter-triggering sound effects and a playful atmosphere, the stage is set for another unforgettable trivia showdown.Round 1 RecapIn the first round, Jeff kicked things off with a quirky game called "Yoga Pose or Kama Sutra Position." Contestants were tasked with determining whether the given names referred to yoga poses or positions from the Kama Sutra. Ayla started confidently but stumbled on the "feathered peacock," mistaking it for a Kama Sutra position when it was a yoga pose. Bintou followed, misidentifying the "fire log" as Kama Sutra. Megan managed to guess correctly with the "one-legged king pigeon," earning her first point. The round continued with mixed results and much laughter as the participants tried to navigate through Jeff's intriguing list. By the end of Round 1, the scores were tight, with Megan leading slightly ahead of Ayla and Bintou.Round 2 RecapRound 2 saw the contestants dive into traditional trivia categories: sports, entertainment, and the arts. Ayla, seeking redemption from her previous appearance on the show, had a mixed performance; she correctly identified Walter White's profession from "Breaking Bad" but struggled with a question about ABBA's hit song "Waterloo." Bintou, focusing on her strengths, fared well in the entertainment category but faltered in the sports questions, reflecting her self-professed lack of interest in that area. Megan shone brightly in this round; she deftly answered questions about "Walk the Line" and the Rolling Stones' first hit single, solidifying her lead. The buzzer round concluded with Megan in the lead, followed by Ayla and Bintou.Round 3 RecapThe final round was a rapid-fire challenge featuring video hints and visual puzzles, where contestants buzzed in to answer progressively easier clues for decreasing points. Highlights included Megan quickly identifying South Africa for a country and Bintou correctly guessing Hershey Park based on a series of clues. Ayla managed to redeem herself slightly with a correct guess of the Andes Mountains. As the questions grew trickier, the competition intensified, with all contestants showing remarkable quick-thinking and trivia prowess. Megan maintained her lead, navigating the clues with precision, while Bintou and Ayla fought valiantly for second place.ConclusionThis episode of "Stuff I Never Knew" was a rollercoaster of trivia excitement, full of surprises and amusing moments. Megan emerged as the night's champion with 12 points, followed closely by Ayla and Bintou. The show wrapped up with each contestant getting a chance to plug their personal projects, making the episode not just a test of knowledge but a celebration of diverse talents and stories. You'll gain insights into balancing supplements with a healthy lifestyle to optimize overall well-being.This weekend, I embraced a more laid-back vibe by enjoying movie nights, fall shopping at Hobby Lobby, and indulging in a cozy dinner at the Gorge Eatery. Despite the rainy weather thwarting my plans to visit local county fairs, the weekend turned out to be refreshingly relaxing. Reflecting on these experiences, I consider steering the podcast back to a more casual, talk show format, blending informative content with personal stories that resonate with our community. In this engaging episode, we also delve into the heated debate between medication and natural remedies. By examining lifestyle factors and genetic predispositions, I provide a balanced perspective on health management. Real-life examples illustrate the importance of testing for deficiencies and the proactive use of both supplements and medications. Join the conversation and share your favorite supplements and health strategies with me. Let's explore the best ways to maintain our health and well-being together!

Starting her career as a dolphin trainer, Shelley earned her niche working with pinnipeds at a time when everyone was more focused on cetaceans like bottlenose dolphins and orcas. She believes that training sea lions truly hones one's skill as a trainer in ways unique to pinnipeds.  Following the closing of operations after 30-plus years at their original facility at Milwaukee County Zoo and a name change/addition, Shelley has expanded her programs and animal teams to two new locations, in addition to her longstanding facility at Hershey Park, as part of the Dolly Parton family of attractions. She is particularly thrilled to be able to bring educational components to these highly theatrical cirque-type shows which include sea lions, birds and domestic dogs. As evidence of Ocean Connections' success, Shelley and her team are preparing another animal team for a third location in the Dolly company to begin in 2025. Animal Care Software

So, picture this: Justin Timberlake and I tearing it up at Hershey Park on the 4th of July. Yup, you heard that right. We rode the Great Bear non-stop for two and a half hours. Why? Because when JT hands you what you think is Tylenol, it's anything but. We had a blast – headache or not, it was an unforgettable roller coaster marathon. After the rides, we treated JT to the finest dining Hershey has to offer – the one and only Red Robin. We went all out with the onion ring tower, and Justin's bodyguard tackled the new gold Olympic medal burger. Spoiler: It's massive and costs $199.99. But no worries, JT picked up the tab. From there, it was straight to his concert – from the best seats in the house, of course! Just when you thought it couldn't get crazier, we jetted off to Michael Ruben's all-white party. Imagine rubbing elbows with the likes of Kim Kardashian, Drake, and even Bill Gates. Yes, Bill Gates and I had a life-changing chat. My financial future is now set, people. It was a whirlwind 24 hours of rubbing shoulders with the who's who of the celebrity world. Why did all this happen? Because our podcast hit one million views on YouTube! That's right, folks. We've gone viral, and the invitations came pouring in. Justin Timberlake's team, Mr. Beast (or Jimmy, as I call him now), and the entire crew wanted to celebrate with us. We couldn't be more grateful to all of you for getting us here. Now, for the not-so-great news. Remember Charlotte, the pregnant stingray from the North Carolina aquarium? Well, she's no longer with us. Turns out, there was no miraculous pregnancy – just a rare reproductive disease. We dug deep, and it seems the aquarium might have known for a while. Charlotte's been gone longer than we thought, but they kept the story alive for the donations. Sneaky, right? And speaking of sneaky, two Lancaster County buffets made it to the top of USA Today's best buffets list. Shady Maple Smorgasbord and Miller's Smorgasbord – the pride of Pennsylvania Dutch cuisine. But let's be real, who's voting for these places? We've got 200 feet of food at Shady Maple, but is it really the best? The answer, my friends, lies in the pudding. Literally. In other food news, Perkins is rebranding. Say goodbye to Perkins Restaurant and Bakery and hello to Perkins American Food Co. They're going all out with a new look, new menu items, and a loyalty program. First up: the Decked Out Double Burger. It's a monstrosity, but we'll see if it brings in the crowds. Our mission continues: saving Red Lobster. We're in phase two, folks. With Flavor Flav leading the charge and a little help from our friends at VistaPrint, we're sending out gift cards. Join us in our quest to keep those cheddar bay biscuits flowing. Send a friend a gift card, and I'll reimburse you so you can keep the chain going. Together, we can save Red Lobster, one cheddar bay biscuit at a time. But let's get back to reality for a second. The 4th of July was a chaotic mess. Bumper-to-bumper traffic, blocked streets, and police everywhere. We ended up watching fireworks from a Perkins parking lot – not the ideal spot, but hey, the strawberry pie is back! The modernization of American chain restaurants is here. Perkins, Cracker Barrel, Applebees – they're all getting makeovers. White walls, wooden accents, and new menus. It's a new era, folks, and we're here for it. Finally, don't forget to check out our House of the Dragon recap. Carlos and I break down every scene, Easter egg, and spoiler. It's the number one House of the Dragon recap podcast – prove us wrong! Thank you all for tuning in and helping us hit one million views. Keep liking, subscribing, and sharing. After that, they discuss which Amusement Park Roller Coasters will be part of that grouping. Can you argue that the Velocicoaster shouldn't get a spot? Will The Beast be included? Is the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster in the conversation? What about the Lightning Rod or Lightning Racers? Then, they do an unprecendented third list and discuss which Amusement Parks make that list. Rerun. Hersheypark was created as a recreation ground for the workers and families who staffed the Hershey chocolate factory in Pennsylvania when it opened on 30th May, 1906. But visitors from across the State soon came to marvel at its playgrounds, boating lake and band-stand… and, before long, the environs began to morph into the chocolate-themed amusement park it remains to this day. Its success exemplifies the ‘Company Town' phenomenon: at one point, 3% of the USA's entire population lived in a town that was owned and run by the company that they worked for. In this episode, Arion, Rebecca and Olly explain how caramel, not chocolate, first paved the way to Hershey's success; debate whether Hersheypark was a philanthropic gift to his employees, or a cynical bid to keep them from leaving; and explain to Americans why Brits would prefer an attraction with less butyric acid…  Further Reading: • ‘More Than 110 Years of Hersheypark Happy' (Hershey, 2022): https://www.hersheypa.com/about-hershey/history/hersheypark-history.php • Milton Hershey, The Man Who Built A Chocolate Empire (All That's Interesting, 2022): https://allthatsinteresting.com/milton-hershey • ‘From Sweet To Sweeter: The Legacy of Hersheypark' (Hersheypark Enthusiast, 2021): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZIJlIYlPo38 ‘Why am I hearing a rerun?'
