David A. Stewart (as he also sometimes was credited on record) was born September 9, 1952 in Sunderland, England; the product of an upper-middle class family, he enjoyed his first taste of musical success during the early '70s while fronting the band Longdancer. The group seemed poised for big things after signing to Elton John's Rocket Records, but they quickly fizzled out; Stewart soon resurfaced in a variety of short-lived groups, and eventually began writing songs with friend Peet Coombes. In the late '70s he was also introduced to an aspiring singer named Annie Lennox; the two became lovers, and with Coombes they formed a group dubbed the Tourists, issuing a trio of new wave-influenced LPs between 1979 and 1980. When the Tourists came to a halt in late 1980, Stewart and Lennox's romance ended as well; they agreed to continue their musical partnership, however, rechristening themselves Eurythmics. Their soulful synth pop sound was created solely via Stewart's technological mastery, capped off by Lennox's powerful vocals; after the title track of 1983's Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This) became an international smash, the Eurythmics rose to become one of the '80s most successful and innovative artists, scoring such major hits as 1984's "Here Comes the Rain Again," 1985's "Would I Lie to You?," and 1986's "Missionary Man." In 1985, Stewart also scored his first outside success as a producer, working on Aretha Franklin's comeback album Who's Zoomin' Who; that same year, he also helmed Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers' hit Southern Accents. In the years to follow, he went on to produce music for Mick Jagger, Bob Dylan, and the Neville Brothers.By the end of the '80s, Eurythmics' popularity was on the decline, and after 1989's We Too Are One failed to recapture the magic of their earlier work, they essentially disbanded, with only a hits compilation and a live LP to follow. Stewart, who in 1987 had married Bananarama/Shakespear's Sister vocalist Siobhan Fahey, initially turned to soundtrack work, scoring the Dutch film Lily Was Here in 1989; a year later, he put together a new band, the Spiritual Cowboys, with ex-Pretenders drummer Martin Chambers. Sporting a more atmospheric, guitar-driven sound than his previous work, the Spiritual Cowboys issued two albums, a 1990 self-titled effort and 1991's Honest, neither of which caught on with audiences. Stewart then spent the next several years in relative silence, accepting a few production jobs but otherwise staying out of the limelight. In 1995, he finally issued his proper solo debut, Greetings from the Gutter. In 1997, Stewart co-produced the album Destination Anywhere for Jon Bon Jovi. He emerged as an artist again in 1999; this time as a film composer scoring director Robert Altman's film Cookie's Fortune in 1999. In November 2002, he worked with former South African president Nelson Mandela. Stewart came up with the idea of turning Mandela's prison number into a telephone number. He wrote and recorded songs with Paul McCartney, Bono, and the Edge (among others) that could only be heard if you dialed this number; the cost of the call was in fact a donation in the fight against HIV/AIDS in the newly independent but beleaguered nation. Along with an ad agency, Stewart organized the entire campaign. In 2004, he collaborated with Jagger on the score for a remake of the film Alfie, and in 2007 scored Ted Demme's film The Ref. In March 2007, Stewart unveiled an initiative called "Greenpeace Works," which he labeled a "think tank" to dream up ways celebrities and Greenpeace could work together on green issues. For the project, he issued The Dave Stewart Songbook, a large coffee table-size book full of stories and photographs. It was accompanied by a newly recorded CD of 21 songs that been co-written or co-produced by him. Also included was the song "American Prayer," written with Bono. In 2008, Stewart shot a video for the tune as support for Barack Obama's presidential bid. In 2011, he completed work on his musical, Ghost, which opened in England in March; he also finished work on Stevie Nicks' In Your Dreams album, which was co-produced by Glen Ballard and released in May. Simultaneously, he also completed his first album of new material in 13 years in Nashville, with help from Martina McBride, Joss Stone, Colbie Caillat, and the Secret Sisters. Entitled The Blackbird Diaries, the set was recorded at McBride's husband John's Blackbird Studios and issued in late May. Stewart also helmed the sessions and co-wrote the songs for Stone's LP1, which was released in the summer of 2011. That same year, both Stewart and Stone joined SuperHeavy, a supergroup that also featured Mick Jagger, Damian Marley, and A.R. Rahman. A self-titled SuperHeavy album arrived in the fall of 2011, and then Stewart returned to Blackbird Studios, recording and releasing his solo effort The Ringmaster General in 2012. A year later, Stewart released Lucky Numbers, another solo album laden with guest stars, this time including Martina McBride and Karen Elson.

Shane Serrano is an award winning Director & Cinematographer from Limerick. Through his production company, Crude Media, Shane has been directing and producing for over 10 years, working on over 130 music videos for artists. Many of his films have been selected by acclaimed film festivals globally, including the Newport Beach Film Festival, Irish Film London, Galway Film Fleadh, DIFF, Berlin International Art Film Festival and Chicago Irish Film Festival. In 2019 he was the recipient of an Award for Outstanding Contribution to Film in Limerick, at the Richard Harris International Film Festival. Tania Notaro is an exciting screenwriter, director and actor from Dublin. Her comedy drama TV series Cabaret Cartel is currently in development as part of Screen Ireland's Spotlight scheme. She has just completed her first short Glitterbug as writer/director and her visually arresting short film Postpartum (See on theVirgin Media Player Now!) She was selected to take part in the Eureka Series Programme 2022 at the Series Mania Institute. Johnny is an award winning actor, writer and director who has been involved in film and drama for the best part of two decades. He has written and directed such comedy films as The Legend of Harry and Ambrose, Aftermath and The Blizzards behind the music. In 2021 his comedy pilot "Cancelled" won best comedy pilot at the Austin after dark comedy festival. He can be seen later this year in Maurice O'Carroll's brilliant new feature Swing bout. Michael O'Hara is an actor, award winning writer, producer and director of animation, live action and documentary. His production company Waking Dream Productions is known for Talent Drivers (2019), Donuts, People and Their Dreams (1993) and Mr Happy (2006). Director Jamie O'Rourke's first short, Scrap, is still on the festival circuit, was nominated for an IFTA in 2022, and screened at the 2023 Clermont-Ferrand International Film Festival and has played at festivals around the world. His second film, Calf, funded by Screen Ireland/Virgin Media had its World Premiere at The Dublin International Film Festival in February 2023 and will screen at AA/EFA qualifying Odense IFF in Denmark in Aug 2023. Shane Serrano is an award winning Director & Cinematographer from Limerick. Through his production company, Crude Media, Shane has been directing and producing for over 10 years, working on over 130 music videos for artists. Many of his films have been selected by acclaimed film festivals globally, including the Newport Beach Film Festival, Irish Film London, Galway Film Fleadh, DIFF, Berlin International Art Film Festival and Chicago Irish Film Festival. In 2019 he was the recipient of an Award for Outstanding Contribution to Film in Limerick, at the Richard Harris International Film Festival. Tania Notaro is an exciting screenwriter, director and actor from Dublin. Her comedy drama TV series Cabaret Cartel is currently in development as part of Screen Ireland's Spotlight scheme. She has just completed her first short Glitterbug as writer/director and her visually arresting short film Postpartum (See on theVirgin Media Player Now!) She was selected to take part in the Eureka Series Programme 2022 at the Series Mania Institute. She has a 1st class Master's degree in Screenwriting, NFT/IADT with a scholarship from Warner Brothers and later selected by the Warner Brothers Creative Talent Team as an exceptional artist and one-to-watch. Johnny is an award winning actor, writer and director who has been involved in film and drama for the best part of two decades. He has written and directed such comedy films as The Legend of Harry and Ambrose, Aftermath and The Blizzards behind the music. In 2021 his comedy pilot "Cancelled" won best comedy pilot at the Austin after dark comedy festival. He can be seen later this year in Maurice O'Carroll's brilliant new feature Swing bout. Michael O'Hara is an actor, award winning writer, producer and director of animation, live action and documentary. His first feature film, Leon the Pig Farmer, won numerous awards, including the International Critics Prize at the Venice Film Festival, the London Critics Circle and Evening Standard Awards and the Chaplin Award at the Edinburgh Film Festival. His next 2 British films were Solitaire for 2 and Stiff Upper Lips before moving to the US to direct The Bachelor with Chris O'Donnell and Renée Zellweger. He subsequently returned to the UK and set up Magnet Films with Sir David Frost. In a dream, a man saw a vision of Jesus. To his surprise, Jesus gave him a "Liverpool kiss” (a head-butt in English football terms!) The dream led him to make a decision to follow Jesus. Dreams and visions are the most common form of God-conversation in the Bible, but they're the one we know least about. Dreams are often full of weird and wonderful scenes and symbols. How do we know when they're from God? And then, how do we know what they mean? This is a phrase that we say to people when they say they're going to do something really, really amazing. And we don't think they're able to do it. We would say, "In your dreams." A good example would be this, Maybe a friend of yours bought a guitar and they're going to learn to play it. And they say to you, "I'm going to be the most famous rock star in the world in one year." You might reply by saying to them, "In your dreams." Basically what you're saying is you doubt that, that's going to happen. Even though maybe your friend will learn to play guitar. It's probably going to be really hard to become the most famous rock star in the whole world. So it would be a good time to skeptically say, "In your dreams."The other phrase I wanted to teach you today means the same thing. And that's the phrase, "Dream on!" Let's say a friend of yours bought a car and they're going to turn it into a race car. And they say to you, "I am going to be the best race car driver in the world in about five years." you might say to them, "You know what, dream on." You might even say, "Dream on buddy." That's kind of a derisive. Is that the word? It's kind of a little bit of an insult, but you could say to them, "Dream on." This means that you highly doubt that they're going to succeed at what they say they're going to do.Sorry, I'm a little distracted because the people in the river are talking. I don't know if you can hear them.Let's review though. If you say, "In your dreams" to someone, or if you say, "Dream on" to someone, you're basically saying you doubt that they're going to be able to do what they say that they were going to do. It's not a nice thing to say, but sometimes with friends, you can say things like in your dreams or dream on. And they understand that you're just kind of bugging them a little bit.Anyways, let's look at a comment from a previous video. That's not it, that's something I'm going to talk about in a moment. This comment is from Vito. And Vito says, "I totally agree that it is important to have a day off just to recharge our batteries. You work with your voice, even though you already had the experience teaching for a long time now, for a long time, and know how to preserve your voice, a day talking a little bit less is really important. By the way, thanks for the lesson and have a nice day Bob." And my response is this. My plan is to talk to my friend who is a music teacher and get some advice. he has been helpful in the past. In May of 2019, acclaimed singer-songwriter MEIKO independently released her fifth studio album, In Your Dreams. The single from the LP, "Gimme Gimme", was played on dozens of radio stations across the U.S., and it went viral on TikTok, with thousands of fan-made videos garnering close to a million likes.Exactly one year later, amidst some of the strangest days we've lived through in our collective lifetimes, Meiko releases her latest batch of tunes, a three-song, aptly-titled Weird World EP.Recorded in Nashville just prior to the Coronavirus pandemic, Meiko has been able to capture the feelings of loneliness and isolation many of us are currently experiencing.The first of the three songs, "Roll Out", was written about the desire to exit a particularly trying romantic relationship. "My sister and I would always ask one another if we were 'ready to roll out' when we found ourselves in uncomfortable settings", Meiko says. "I found the phrase appropriate for the situation I was in while writing, but it's also timely now since everyone is more than ready to 'roll out' into a normal, COVID 19-free routine.""Weird World", the title track, was inspired by Meiko's feelings of being weighed down by world news. "I was bummed out about all the divisiveness on TV news programs, and with 'Weird World', I'm telling myself to start paying attention to more important things. A personal pep talk, in a way, that I hope also inspires listeners!"The third track, "Save Me Now", is about missing someone and feeling alone. “This is a song about sinking into to the newfound uncomfortable quiet in isolation and how that affects our mental health”If there was ever a collection of songs that represent how the general population is collectively feeling, Meiko's Weird World EP is it.
