A little bit of trivia: John wrote a season 2 episode of "Married...With Children"which was about Kelly Bundy getting her license, while Al Bundy loses his, just when he wants to go bet on a horse. But I find it interesting that he's got an almost scientific approach to humor. (Apart from the facts that farts are always funny to him.) I'm sure when John takes his standup routine to the masses, it will go over very well. He's already made so many of us laugh with his scripts and books. Hopefully, we can get him back on the show after his book on stand up comes out. But I think maybe in the meantime, I'll have to sleep-learn from one of his books on how to be funny. Inzwischen begebe ich mich oft sehr gezielt in Situationen in denen ich sehr wahrscheinlich versagen werde, um dort zu lernen. Der Versager in mir ist einer meiner besten Freunde geworden. 4. Wenn Du irgendwo eine gigantische Werbetafel mit irgendetwas haben könntest - metaphorisch gesprochen, eine Botschaft an Millionen oder Milliarden ausgeben - was würde das bedeuten und warum? Es könnten ein paar Wörter oder ein Absatz sein. Ja, cool, so ein riesiges Raumschiff, das so 100Meter über die ganze Erde fliegt und folgende Botschaft an die ganze Menschheit sendet: "Fürchtet Euch nicht!" Warum? Die Botschaft ist uralt und nicht von mir, sondern natürlich von Jesus Christus. Sie hat aber durchgehend Bestand und Menschen, die sich nicht fürchten, kommen in ihr volles Potenzial. Ich selbst und viele Menschen aber sind voll mit kleinen und großen Ängsten vor allem Möglichen und Unmöglichen. Politiker wissen das und regieren, indem sie mit den Ängsten der Menschen spielen, sie heraufbeschwören und bedienen. Wer sich aber NICHT fürchtet, der lebt ein freies Leben. Stell Dir vor, Du fürchtest Dich nicht - vor gar nichts! 5. Was ist eine der besten oder lohnendsten Investitionen, die Du jemals getätigt haben? (Könnte eine Investition von Geld, Zeit, Energie usw. sein) Meine beste emotionale Investition ist die in meine Familie. Meine beste finanzielle Investition sind meine Immobilien. Meine beste zeitliche Investition ist die in meine Arbeit. 6. Was ist eine ungewöhnliche Angewohnheit oder eine absurde Sache, die Du liebst? EINE ungewöhnliche Angewohnheit? - Ich fordere mich gern selbst heraus mit nahezu unmöglichen Herausforderungen um mich selbst zu überraschen. Außerdem 7. Meine Erfolge wären ohne meine Misserfolge gar nicht möglich gewesen. Ich behaupte sogar: Fehler, Scheitern, Stürze und Misserfolge sind unabdingbare Grundlagen für Erfolg. Ich könnte stundenlang über mein Scheitern sprechen und es gibt so viele grandiose Momente, in denen ich gnadenlos versagt habe, gescheitert bin. Ein Beispiel: Wäre ich bei einem sehr wichtigen Auftritt vor über 300 Zuschauern im Berliner Quatsch Comedy Club nicht nach 2 Minuten (geplant waren 15Minuten) mit Blackout von der Bühne gegangen und hätte nicht den hämischen Spott der Kollegen über mich ergehen lassen müssen, wäre ich nie der wahrscheinlich einzige Kabarettist in Deutschland geworden, der sich heute Mehr als 5 aktuelle Abendprogramme auswendig im Kopf (mehr als 10Stunden schnell gesprochener Text) merken und auswendig sprechen kann. Inzwischen begebe ich mich oft sehr gezielt in Situationen in denen ich sehr wahrscheinlich versagen werde, um dort zu lernen. Der Versager in mir ist einer meiner besten Freunde geworden. 4. Wenn Du irgendwo eine gigantische Werbetafel mit irgendetwas haben könntest - metaphorisch gesprochen, eine Botschaft an Millionen oder Milliarden ausgeben - was würde das bedeuten und warum? Es könnten ein paar Wörter oder ein Absatz sein. Ja, cool, so ein riesiges Raumschiff, das so 100Meter über die ganze Erde fliegt und folgende Botschaft an die ganze Menschheit sendet: "Fürchtet Euch nicht!" Warum? Die Botschaft ist uralt und nicht von mir, sondern natürlich von Jesus Christus. Sie hat aber durchgehend Bestand und Menschen, die sich nicht fürchten, kommen in ihr volles Potenzial. Ich selbst und viele Menschen aber sind voll mit kleinen und großen Ängsten vor allem Möglichen und Unmöglichen. Politiker wissen das und regieren, indem sie mit den Ängsten der Menschen spielen, sie heraufbeschwören und bedienen. Wer sich aber NICHT fürchtet, der lebt ein freies Leben. Stell Dir vor, Du fürchtest Dich nicht - vor gar nichts! 5. Was ist eine der besten oder lohnendsten Investitionen, die Du jemals getätigt haben? This seminal book on writing comedy for television and film is now available in four languages, and continues to be a definitive source of information and inspiration for writers from Santa Monica to Scandinavia. An international consultant in television and film script development, Vorhaus has worked for television networks, film schools, and production companies in 30 countries on four continents. Vorhaus’ own screenwriting credits include Married… with Children, Head of the Class, The Sentinel,The Flash and many overseas television shows and films, including the sitcoms House Arrest and Pretty, Sick and Twisted, and the movie Save Angel Hope.
