The Rich Zeoli Show- Full Episode (12/18/2023): 3:05pm- While campaigning in Wilmington, Delaware over the weekend, an SUV in President Joe Biden's motorcade was struck by a sedan. Neither President Biden nor First Lady Jill Biden were traveling in the vehicle. 3:10pm- Annie Linskey of The Wall Street Journal notes that even former President Barack Obama is concerned about President Joe Biden's reelection prospects. Linskey writes, “a round of dismal polls is increasing jitters among Democrats, including some in the West Wing, who are worried that voters' negative views on the president are going unchallenged. Those Democrats are growing impatient for a full-fledged campaign to start. Those with concerns include former President Barack Obama, who knows this is going to be a close race' and ‘feels that Democrats very well could lose' the 2024 election, according to a person familiar with his thinking. Obama worries that ‘the alternative is pretty dangerous for democracy,' the person said.” You can read the full article here: https://www.wsj.com/politics/elections/bidens-agenda-hangs-in-balance-as-tough-election-year-approaches-43d24633 3:30pm- Reporting from the U.S. Southern border, Fox News journalist Bill Melugin revealed that authorities in Eagle Pass, Texas are “suspending railway operations…they're shutting down international commerce in order to help speed up processing of migrants.” 3:40pm- While speaking with NBC News, Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) said, “I'm not a progressive…I just think I'm a Democrat that is very committed to choice and other things. But with Israel, I'm going to be on the right side of that. And immigration is something near and dear to me, and I think we do have to effectively address it as well.” You can read a recap of his interview with NBC News here: https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/congress/-not-progressive-fetterman-breaks-left-israel-immigration-rcna129747 3:50pm- Adam Sabes of Fox News writes: “An alleged congressional staffer who filmed an explicit sex tape inside a Senate hearing room could face criminal charges, one lawyer argues. The U.S. Capitol Police told Fox News they were aware of an amateur pornographic video published by the Daily Caller on Friday, which shows someone identified as a congressional staffer, engaging in sex with another man in Hart Senate Office Building room 216… Posts on social media claimed the alleged staffer worked for Sen. Ben Cardin's office. Hours after the story broke, Cardin's office announced that a legislative aide had been dismissed but did not address reports linking a member of his staff to the sex tape.” You can read more here: https://www.foxnews.com/politics/senate-sex-tape-congressional-staffer-allegedly-seen-leaked-video-could-face-charges-lawyer-says 4:05pm- Judicial Watch has announced that according to heavily redacted documents it has attained, the Federal Bureau of Investigation's surveilling and targeting of Catholics—baselessly categorizing Catholics as extremists—was more wide-spread than was initially claimed. FBI Director Christopher Wray had indicated that the unlawful targeting was limited to a single field office. You can read more here: https://www.judicialwatch.org/targeting-of-catholics/ 4:30pm- Rich, Matt, and Henry debate the best and worst Christmas songs. Plus, Rich reveals he has never seen Home Alone or Home Alone 2—how is this possible? 4:45pm- In an impossibly outrageous editorial featured by The Atlantic, Caitlan Flanagan argues that you should NEVER watch Rudolph. She claims, “Santa presides over a nonunion shop where underproducing elves are deprived of breaks and humiliated”—and refers to Santa's workshop as a “little forced-labor camp.” You can read the full editorial here: https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2020/12/rankin-bass-rudolph-the-red-nosed-reindeer/616932/ 5:05pm- Republicans and Democrats continue to negotiate over enhanced border security policies designed to crack down on the thousands of migrants crossing the U.S. Southern border unlawfully each day. Speaking from outside of the U.S. Capitol, Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) bizarrely claimed that discouraging illegal migration is similar to “racial quota laws” enacted during the 1920s. 5:10pm- While speaking with NBC News, Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) said, “I'm not a progressive…I just think I'm a Democrat that is very committed to choice and other things. Lindsey Adler and Richard Rubin write: “Ohtani will take home just $2 million per season over the 10-year span of his contract, which was made official Monday night. In an unprecedented structure, Ohtani will defer $68 million per season until the end of his contract, meaning the Dodgers will pay him $680 million between 2034 and 2043…But by the time he starts receiving the $68 million payments, he may be able to avoid state income taxes by living someplace like Florida without an income tax, or by moving back to Japan.” You can read the full article here: https://www.wsj.com/sports/baseball/shohei-ohtani-700-million-contract-deferral-067a345f 5:45pm- Adam Sabes of Fox News writes: “An alleged congressional staffer who filmed an explicit sex tape inside a Senate hearing room could face criminal charges, one lawyer argues. Episode 217 of the Sports Media Podcast features two guests. First up is Lindsey Adler, a senior writer for The Athletic covering the New York Yankees. She is followed by Sports Business Journal motorsports and combat sports reporter Adam Stern. In this podcast, Adler discusses what it's like covering a team that has the potential to make sports history; if there is pressure on covering a team like the Yankees because every game has magnitude; whether people are more interested in reading about a winning team; how winning impacts things for reporters such as subscriptions and page views; the competitiveness of the Yankees beat; how front office people and players look at where she works versus other publications; how access has been this year and the difference from last year; women covering baseball who are under-35; the influences of Suzyn Waldman and Sweeny Murti for her; whether MLB will or should make a statement on the Roe decision and more. Stern discusses why F1 has agreed to renew its rights deal with ESPN through 2025; why Amazon and Comcast executives and Netflix did not get the product; how ESPN will advance the product in the future; what F1's growth potential is in the U.S.; the importance of a U.S. driver to the growth; the importance of races being on linear television; the explosion of F1 podcasts; where he sees NASCAR's viewership heading forward; whether a Drive To Survive show for IndyCar can move the needle, and more. Now that Major League Baseball's Collective Bargaining Agreement has expired, Alex and Bobby are taking some time to break down key concepts that will be on the table in the coming weeks and months and examine what's at stake for each side. This week, they do a deep dive on the competitive balance tax, looking at its initial aims to address parity and how its purpose has been twisted by both small and big market teams since its inception in 1997. First they talk with Maury Brown, senior contributor at Forbes, about how teams' attitude towards the CBT has changed over the last two decades and what rising revenues across the league have done to undercut the measure. Then they bring on Lindsey Adler, Yankees beat writer for The Athletic, to talk about covering a team that has self-imposed-but-CBT-influenced limits on its spending and why they don't exactly set baseball's financial market anymore. When Christine Quinn makes her first appearance in the fourth season of Selling Sunset, it's a moment of high camp. We've just watched a scene where — like most of the show — the other ladies in the Oppenheim Group real estate agency have been talking breathlessly about her. Now, she's stepping out of a yellow Lamborghini to an $8 million property in the Hollywood Hills that looks like a drug lord's palace. She's heavily pregnant and looks impossibly glamorous, wearing a sleek black dress, a bedazzled blazer with arched shoulder pads, and a “chair purse” that she admits can't actually hold anything. She has attitude. She's a boss. She means business.Underscoring the moment is an electric bass-heavy bop with seemingly nonsensical lyrics: “Take my name out of your mouth / I don't want to hear you talking when you're around / ‘Cause everywhere I go it's like you're always there / But I don't want to hear it / ‘Cause everybody wants a piece of what I got.”Since the latest season of the Netflix reality drama premiered last month, many fans have been wondering about the show's “over the top” and “WILD” music. An average episode can feature snippets of around 15 songs, which usually serve as transitions as the ladies make glamorous exits from cars or tour luxury properties. They can, admittedly, all start to sound the same after a while.“The stock music in Selling Sunset is like music from a mall in hell,” writer Bolu Babalola tweeted. “They sound like songs except really not? And while its lyrics may be nonsense, they somehow perfectly meet the moment — and that's exactly the point.“It's ‘gaslight, gatekeep, girlboss' vibes, 100%,” said Colby Lapolla, one of the song's writers. “It's been very funny to watch Twitter, and I feel like so many people have been talking about the music. They don't understand that we know this is garbage.”Twitter: @imichaelmcquaidSince the latest season of the Netflix reality drama premiered last month, many fans have been wondering about the show's “over the top” and “WILD” music. An average episode can feature snippets of around 15 songs, which usually serve as transitions as the ladies make glamorous exits from cars or tour luxury properties. A 10-episode season might contain as many as 150 songs, as well as hundreds of other musical cues without lyrics. Hughes needs to listen to thousands of tracks to find the right tune that an editor can then cut footage to. Sometimes an editor needs a specific sound for an emotional moment — say, a fight or tearful breakdown — so Hughes will send along options. Otherwise, she has a playlist ready to go of dozens of “female empowerment” songs that can be used for any transition where the lyrics don't matter. She said that showrunner Adam DiVello, who also created Laguna Beach and The Hills, has a strict rule that they never repeat a song.ADVERTISEMENT“The showrunner definitely wanted ‘female empowerment' [as a theme],” Hughes explained. “The other main word that gets thrown around is ‘feisty.' So we kind of have two styles of female empowerment. One is just ‘helping all women,' ‘we're great,' ‘we can do this,' and then there's more feisty, like, ‘I'm better than you' vibes.”“It has a very city, trendy, cool vibe that is kind of universal,” said Jennifer Smith, who worked with Hughes on seasons 2 and 3, “so it doesn't matter if you're watching it in the UK, you can still identify with it even if you've never been to LA. It's a universal sonic texture language.”The reason Selling Sunset is full of music you've never heard before is thus a practical one. It features an astonishing amount of music, and there's only so much money to spend. “We don't have the budget for Ariana or Beyoncé or Rihanna,” Hughes said. “We would love to, but we definitely don't.”NetflixMary Fitzgerald and Chrishell Stause in Selling SunsetADVERTISEMENTTo find music, Hughes speaks with various licensing companies, who themselves search for artists whose music they can sell to productions. Ty Salazar, the vice president of creative licensing for film and TV at Position Music, said his company controls the publishing rights for about 20,000 songs — 26 of which are featured in the latest season of Selling Sunset.“I would say they're all bouncy pop,” he said of the Selling Sunset tunes. “They are all songs with drive and swagger. Typically, they have a female empowerment lyric or feel. There's lyrics about being glamorous, being the best — that sort of thing.”He added, “We are always looking for what the majority of our clients need at the moment. Right now, this kind of female empowerment, drive songs with swagger is a very big need, and it's kind of become our speciality.”Some musicians effectively make writing for licensing companies their full-time job. Knowing what the market demands, they'll happily work with producers to pump out a supply of tunes in exchange for being paid each time the music is featured in a show or movie. Unlike other music, the point of these songs isn't necessarily to get played on the radio — but that can actually be somewhat freeing, said Lapolla, the musician whose song was featured in Christine's intro scene.“There's not the pressure of like, I need to express myself right now. What do I want to say? What am I feeling? It's fun to write stuff like this that is just ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆https://linktr.ee/jacksonlibon---------------------------------------------------#facebook #instagram #amour #couple #couplegoals #famille #relation #doudou #youtube #twitter #tiktok #love #instagood #follow #like #ouy #oyu #babyshark #lilnasx #girl #happybirthday #movie #olive #garden #menu #deviance #autotrader #trading #khan #academy #carter #carguru #ancestry #accords #abc #news #bts #cbs #huru bluebook #socialmedia #whatsapp #music #google #photography #memes #marketing #india #followforfollowback #likeforlikes #a #insta #fashion #k #trending #digitalmarketing #covid #o #snapchat #socialmediamarketing #bhfyp

To cap off a wild and wacky 2017, Alex and Bobby look back on some of their favorite segments, interviews, and goofy conversations from the year, revisiting moments like the All-Asshole Team, a Wiz Khalifa-baseball crossover, the only disagreement they’ve ever had, the introduction of their bad take reading series, a chat with Lindsey Adler about Tim Lincecum’s shopping habits, and so much more. Big thanks to everyone who has supported this show so far — it’s only going to get weirder in 2018! Ep. 20 — On this episode, Alex and Bobby discuss a wrench thrown into the A’s ballpark plans, a couple of juiced comebacks, and the spectacularly boring end to Ohtani/Stanton-palooza. Then they bring on Deadspin staff writer Lindsey Adler to talk about her story on a teenage girl posing as a married man to write about baseball, what on earth the Marlins are doing, why she loves writing about #weirdbaseball, and the life of a Giants fan.
