In this episode, I speak with Nick Patterson, Co-CEO of Storm & Shelter. We had a great conversation on how marketers in niche, service-led businesses can evolve beyond relying solely on referrals and word-of-mouth to generate new business opportunities. Nick shares how Storm & Shelter successfully developed and launched a 1:few email outreach strategy that complimented their existing marketing efforts. This was in response to the tough economic climate we find ourselves in and tougher competitive conditions. He also shared the secret sauce of the campaign, which involved a deep dive into branding and understanding their unique value proposition. I love this interview as it talks directly about solving the key challenge every small, service-based business finds itself trying to solve - generating more business at scale. — Big thanks to Sopro for sponsoring this week's episode of B2B Better. My guest on WIlmsFront is Father, Christian, MMA and freedom fighter Nick Paterson who is up against Victoria Police at trial later this year. He has been charged with assaulting force members when they were suppressing a freedom protest during lockdown 4 last year. In 2021 Victoria Police's brutal enforcement of Dan Andrews' lockdowns escalated to horrific levels culminating with rubber bullets being shot at freedom protestors. They also targeted freedom activists with incitement charges and issued them countless multi-thousand dollar fines for breaching CHO directions. Nick's confrontation with Victoria Police on May 29 last year occurred when they rushed at freedom protestors while they were heading to their cars and Nick jumped in to defend his friend. Victoria Police dislocated his shoulder, he then spent 29 days in prison. His initial bail conditions upon release contained a complete gag order. The seriousness of the charge Nick faces is if found guilty by a jury he faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 6 months. Victoria Police will be throwing all possible resources to see that Nick is convicted. He has been forced to close his MMA gym in Cranbourne in part because of the Victoria Police harassment. He has several upcoming legal fundraisers, he wants to set a precedent in his trial that will see reform of police conduct. It's been a patriotic weekend in the UK with High bunting to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. A jury has delivered Justice for Johnny Depp but darkness still pervades the state of Victoria. I dissect all this on my return from NSW on Tim's News Explosion. Dan Andrews has been using a secret big brother monitoring system called Insights Victoria to keep tabs on what Victorians are saying on social media and spending on their credit cards. It was set up in September 2020 during lockdown but is continuing to be used in other areas of Government policy. Expelled Liberal MLC Bernie Finn has gone back to the future by rejoining the Democratic Labour Party (DLP). Bernie was the DLP candidate for the seat of Corangamite in the 1980 federal election. The DLP was founded in the anti-Communist Labor split of 1955 with an overwhelmingly Catholic membership. It has elected two Victorian MLCs and one Victorian Senator in the 21st Century. The Queen's Platinum Jubilee has brought out the best in Britain after two years of horrific lockdowns. But Australian ex-pat Yassmin Abdel-Magied was triggered by all the Union Jacks many of which were displayed on buntings. Yassmin is back tweeting and giving interviews to promote a new book. Last week she told the Nine Newspapers she is considering revoking her Australian citizenship and if she hears an Australian accent anywhere she will leave. There was finally Justice for Johnny Depp with a jury ordering ex-wife Amber Heard to pay him $15 million in damages for defaming him in a Washington Post op-ed accusing him of domestic violence. Heard's acting career is over with all her scenes from Aquaman 2 cut. Former NSW Deputy Premier John Barilaro has been awarded by a Federal Court $715,000 in damages from Google for refusing to remove two YouTube videos by friendlyjordies (Jordan Shanks) that wrongfully suggested he was corrupt and also made racist remarks about his Italian heritage. Barilaro settled his suit against friendlyjordies late last year. Nick Patterson of the Australian Peacemakers has launched a Help Fight Corrupt Police fund as he will face trial in November accused of assaulting police when officers ran at anti-lockdown protestors during Melbourne's Lockdown number four last year. If found guilty Nick faces a minimum jail sentence of 6 months. Today we are back for part 2 of my conversation with Nick Patterson. When we finished our last conversation Nick felt that he had more he wanted to say, and I was more than happy to get him back on, and boy, am I glad I did. This conversation was a powerful one, not to be missed. In this episode we discuss: The tyranny in Australia Why the police & government are acting the way they are Why the key to defeating this is to have faith and courage & people can live and act in these ways How people have been corrupted by countless propaganda & media How the Bible predicted what is happening now The fact this is all coming to a head, where the truth will be exposed & much more This was another fascinating conversation with Nick. In fact I love speaking to Nick so much, and I think his knowledge is so powerful, that we may make our conversations a weekly thing. Today's guest is Nick Patterson who is returning to tell his story about what happened when he and his friends were assaulted by the NSW Police. If you have heard any of my previous episodes with NIck you'll know how much I respect him as a person and man, and also what a genuine guy Nick is. Everything he does comes from the heart. Without people like him standing up for our human rights, and being prepared to make the ultimate sacrifice, we would go down without a fight. So, it's up to us to share his message far and wide, and also help him in any way we can. In the interview we discussed: What actually happened during his walk with the Peace Makers which lead to his arrest What it was like to spend 29 days in prison What the terms of his bail were when he was released (this was crazy) How the Police singled him out (he has Police body camera evidence for this) How he will NOT settle for anything less than justice Why it is so important to be vigilant over what you put in your body and mind Why your mind is the temple they are trying to attack What, ‘Menticide' is, and how the government are using it How the mainstream media lies are catching up to them & much more This was a fascinating conversation with Nick, and one I split into two parts because we had more to cover. Therefore, keep your eyes out for the next installment. Local police in lockdown Australian cities were busy arresting and fining people for having face masks off. Meanwhile, up in Canada local police have done no arresting of those destroying the nation's history. All that and more Western arrested development tonight on Tim's News Explosion. Although Victoria is out of lockdown the state is still imprisoning and prosecuting a number of political dissents. National Socialist Thomas Sewell has been moved from the Melbourne Assessment Prison to Port Phillip Prison as he continues to be held on remand facing armed robbery and assault charges. Nick Patterson was granted bail after nearly a month in custody after being charged with assaulting police during an anti-lockdown protest. A Yarra City Greens councilor Anab Mohamud has been charged with assault after being involved in a nightclub brawl where she screamed homophobic slurs. Brisbane telegram personality Philfy was arrested on outstanding warrants while live-streaming himself without a mask in a Centrelink. Philfy was remanded in custody at least until a court appearance in August. With lockdowns and restrictions affecting four Australian cities over the past week police were out in force. In NSW they arrested the owners of the Bowral organic store for not wearing masks, the WA Police arrested patriot Stephen Wells and his friend for not wearing a mask. In Australian political theater news, the #MeToo2.0 attacks against the Liberal Government continue. Former Liberal MP Julia Banks has written a book with more generalized allegations about bullying plus accusing an unnamed Cabinet Minister of putting his hands on her thigh. The new LNP preselected candidate for Bowan to replace Andrew Laming Henry Pike is in trouble for a decade-old comment claiming that fucking a fat chick makes you beyond redemption. Overseas the cultural Marxists in the lead up to Canada Day have torn down a statue of Queen Victoria and have burnt down several Catholic churches in response to mass graves being uncovered near 19th century Catholic missionary schools for Canada's Indigenous people. One of Donald Trump's former aides has created another new social media platform GETTR which is similar to Twitter. Bloodthirsty neoconservative and former Secretary of Defence Donald Rumsfeld died at the age of 88. Despite their reputations for rolling lockdowns Australian and New Zealand cities made up six of the top ten World's Most Livable Cities for 2021. Tim in Melbourne and Dieuwe in Auckland will share just how liveable life is in their respective cities and nations on this week's Trad Tasman Talk. The Economist magazine's Intelligence Unit published its list of most livable cities for 2021. It was not published in 2020 due to the covid pandemic. Despite each city experiencing four lockdowns Auckland was number one while Melbourne was number eight. The criteria used to asses livability unsurprisingly didn't include human rights, the Economist being a globalist magazine used criteria that make cities attractive for wealthy globalists to live. Melbourne has now entered lockdown lite after two weeks of strict lockdown. Today’s episode is a solo one with myself. I did actually have another fascinating podcast planned with my friend Nick Patterson, but the connection wasn’t great out here, so we are going to record the episode again when I get back home. Therefore, I thought I would record an episode myself there as there is always lots to talk about at the moment with everything that is going on, and I have also been receiving plenty of questions round health and being out in Mexico. In the episode I discuss: Why I came out to Mexico & what it is like living out here How living with like minded people has been a breath of fresh air The subconscious mind, and why it’s crucial to work on this aspect to create health, wealth and happiness What I have been investing my money in Pfizer, their history in law suits & my thoughts round their new vaccine & more Health & Happiness Ryan
Australia's internal borders are opening up for summer with the heat eridicating all flu like viruses. It's the perfect time for those in unfree states to take advantage of this escape window before 2021 The Uncuckables panel discusses where to from here with the pandemic and lockdowns with Tim Wilms Editor of The Unshackled, David Hiscox, Jarrad Searby Director of the AMAG project, climate change and covid author Stephen Wells and Nick Patterson businessman and blogger at John8.net. The first high profile escapee from Melbourne is Andrew Bolt, though he's only moving as a far as the Mornington Peninsula which is still in Metro Melbourne. Tim met up with Jarrad on the VIC-NSW border on the weekend where the cultural masking is still present in the extreme heat in Wodonga. There are two different Freedom Day rallies in Melbourne this weekend. The Freedom Day on Sunday 6th in Broadmeadows is part of the nationwide Freedom Day rallies which are police approved. A separate Freedom Day rally on Saturday 5th is being held in Fawkner Park which is not police approved and hence has attracted the most police and media attention. The UK has approved the Pfizer covid vaccine which needs to be stored at -70C and gives you a three-day hangover. Nick highlights that Pfizer has had to pay compensation for past controversies. The Morrison Government still maintains it will be voluntary. Australia-China tensions have escalated again this week with the Chinese Government Foreign Ministry released a fake photo of an Australian soldier beheading an Afghan boy. David believes that Scott Morrison who has released the Brereton report which alleges war crimes in Afghanistan by Australian soldiers has opened up Australia up to such attacks. Morrison's triggered response demanding an apology has achieved nothing. Joe Biden has now amazingly got 81 million votes in the US Presidential Election. Biden's new communications team is all female woke and looks like a MSNBC panel. Trump is running out of time to expose more voter fraud before the Electoral College meets to anoint Joe Biden President-elect. The day after the US Presidential Election when Trump was leading vote counters in swing states found grillions of mail-in votes for Biden. Also, there are now a grillion doses of multiple coronavirus vaccines ready to be rolled out. The Uncuckables' panel looks at these diversories of the last 24 hours with Tim Wilms Editor of The Unshackled, Nick Patterson businessman and blogger at John8, at the beginning of the show David Hiscox Editor of the XYZ, then later on Stephen Wells and Reg Penney. In Victoria, the active coronavirus case numbers continue to decline with the state now recording days of zero new cases but the police state is still in force. At the Melbourne Cup Day anti-lockdown protest, Victoria Police encircled protestors and picked them out one by one to process and fine them over a two hour period. Dan Andrews still believes the virus is lurking and called the protestors shameful. In this week’s episode we get Bibical with Nick Patterson. Nick is one of the true good guys on the planet, and he came to my attention when he held off 26 Police Officers during lockdown who wanted to seize his gym for “breaking covid restrictions”. Unlucky for them, Nick knew his rights and the law, after standing his ground he sent them packing. This led to me wanting to get Nick on the show for you guys, so you could learn the truth about the law, and how you can stand your ground if the same happens to you. In today’s show we discussed: Nick’s run ins with the Police Nick’s background on politics What got Nick interested in Common Law Why Nick isn’t a fan of religion, even though he follows The Bible The true meaning behind words Why statues creates contradict themselves The maxims of Law & Equity How you can take back your power & much more I have some great episodes, and some fantastic guests on my show, but this episode with Nick is one I urge everyone to listen to, because it will not only give you an understanding into why the’ covid laws’ are unjust, but it will allow you to see that no one has power over you, and that it is actually us that have the true power in the situation we find ourselves in today, not the government or police. You can find Nick here: https://john8.net/ Enjoy the show and don’t forget to share it with your friends and family, as well as writing a comment, or a review on iTunes. Since the start of the pandemic, many dealers have struggled to acquire used inventory. Is sourcing from private parties the way of the future? On today’s show, we’ve brought in Stephen Stearns, Used Car Manager at County Ford in North Carolina and we’re also joined by Nick Patterson, CEO and Co-Founder of VettX. In this segment, Nick and Stephen discuss why sourcing private party vehicles for the dealership is so important for the used car department. For Stephen, having the option and convenience of a partner like VettX allows him to not be completely reliant on auctions for his inventory. The time he saves allows him to spend more energy on running the used car department. The inventory sourced through VettX has also had a huge impact on used car sales performance. Like many dealers, Stephen believes that if you have the right amount of the right inventory, then you’re winning the game in today’s COVID-19 marketplace. With this new profitability, Stephen is also expanding the kinds of vehicles his deapertment offers. Nick and Stephen then tackle what it takes to be successful at buying private party vehicles and some of the challenges buying from the third-party market. There’s always a lot going on the dealership, however, Stephen says that VettX has helped them build the necessary infrasturcture to buy their third-party vehicles in an efficient and prdocutive way. Given the current market conditions that dealerships are facing, both Nick and Stephen think that everyone big or small should be putting their focus on this market. https://www.cbtnews.com/how-vettx-helps-dealerships-utilize-the-third-party-vehicle-market-to-its-full-potential/
Greater Melbourne is now under stage 4 lockdown for a six week period, including an after 8pm curfew the rest of Victoria is now under stage 3 lockdown. On the midweek edition of WilmsFront I’m joined again by coronavirus lockdown dissent and repeated target of the state and media MMA fighter and gym operator Nick Patterson. Ever since the second lockdown began on July 9 the mainstream media have been targeting and doxxing so-called virus deniers and anti maskers such as Nick. Last Saturday night 15 police cars were outside his gym expecting a meeting to take place hosted by Nick and other anti lockdown activists. They were meeting but on Zoom, the media were there ready to film this bust but the police only arrested and later released one woman. Mainstream media fake news is reaching dangerous levels already releasing fear articles about a hypothetical stage 5. Nick and I agree that watching mainstream media will be detrimental to your mental health during this new lockdown, more business shutdowns and job losses will increase the mental health crisis in this pandemic. More business shutdowns and an essential worker permit scheme have now commenced. The media have accused Nick of being a cult leader and implied any person fined for breaching lockdown or not wearing a mask is a member of his cult. Most Victorians are still passively going with lockdown believing it is the only way out of this pandemic, but with the coronavirus clearly not going away around the world and the only approach from governments that was worked so far to reduce deaths is herd immunity. But Opposition to the lockdown is growing as it fails to deliver the results promised. Nick was arrested at Cranbourne train station for not wearing a mask, he also shops without a mask. The change in advice around masks recently is one of the reasons people are losing faith in the management of this pandemic. Victorians still have their free speech for now even though the real cult being the cult of Dan would like dissents arrested for sedition. Police Commissioner Shane Patton has said he has not asked Facebook to remove any posts and his force is only interested in issuing fines, not what happens after that. Victoria is a police state on paper but Victoria Police and ADF can’t even keep up with making sure those who’ve tested positive are staying which is why the isolation breach fine has been increased to $4,957. wsg Steve Lorenz from 247Sports, and Adam Shnepp from MGoBlog The Sponsors We can do this because people support us. You should support them! The show is presented by UGP & The Bo Store, who are the Dudes. Our other sponsors are also key to all of this: HomeSure Lending, Peak Wealth Management, Ann Arbor Elder Law, the Residence Inn Ann Arbor Downtown, the University of Michigan Alumni Association, Michigan Law Grad, Human Element, The Phil Klein Insurance Group, FuegoBox, Perrin Brewing, and The Athletic (this link gets you 40% off your sub) [After THE JUMP: the player and what we said] -------------------------------------------- 1.Across the Crooked Blue Line, with Steve Lorenz: Offense starts at 1:00 QB is a tough position for Michigan because of JD Johnson’s medical retirement. Tried CJ Stroud, but he picked OSU. Have offered Dan Villari instead, a hyper athletic bigger guy and only a three star. Should go to Michigan. Michigan signed Blake Corum at RB, a borderline top 100 type who they had to hold off from OSU. Jay Harbaugh is the most underrated recruiter on the coaching staff. Corum is totally different than Haskins, Turner, and Charbonnet, built more like an OSU running back. RB has gone from the biggest question on the roster to maybe the deepest on the team. Gaige Garcia is nominally still in the class but on a wrestling scholarship, Tru Wilson might be best case scenario. AJ Henning is an ideal slot receiver for Gattis. Will probably play next season in the Giles Jackson mold. Eamonn Dennis is one of the likely sleeper picks of the class, a lot of similarities to Sainristil, also a Massachusetts guy and could play CB. Michigan’s scouting has been pretty good recently. Roman Wilson was a spring bloomer, also very fast. This could be Michigan’s fastest class ever. At TE, Matthew Hibner shot up the ranks but fell just short of 4* composite- 247 likes him a lot more. Hurt to lose Theo Johnson but Hibner makes it hurt less. Nick Patterson is probably not joining the class. Not as big of an OL class as last year, this is more of a supplemental class. Michigan had to beat ND to get Reece Atteberry. Jeffery Persi is a Greg Frey type and is Seth’s sleeper of the class. 2. Across the Crooked Blue Line, with Steve Lorenz: Defense starts at 25:20 Braiden McGregor was the crown jewel of this recruiting class, Michigan beat ND for him. Temper expectations for McGregor in year one because of a knee issue. McGregor often played all over the DL in HS. Aaron Lewis is a Kwitty Paye type DE. Already a DE logjam going into next year, not a lot of rush for either to play. Kris Jenkins projects to DT as long as he puts on some weight. Michigan hasn’t neglected DT at recruiting, signed two top tier guys last year. Jaylen Harrell was a late pickup, a borderline top 300 edge with good bend in the Uche mold. Michigan chose Harrell over Van Filinger. Kalel Mullings is a good MLB prospect who has comparisons to Anthony Solomon as a freshman, should play special teams. Osman Savage is a guy that Michigan loved from the first satellite camps. Mohan has a ton of athletic potential who could be the next heir to the Devin Bush/Cam McGrone throne. Senior film for a lot of the linebackers was terrific and reassured Lorenz about a lot of them. Versatility is a theme on defense now. Jordan Morant has some Khaleke-type tape, Michigan fought hard to hang onto him. RJ Moten is more of a pure safety. Paige is a high floor guy, safe bet to be solid. Andre Seldon is a little short and has been playing both corner and safety, good athlete. If he was two inches taller, he’d be a 5 star, has great coverage instincts. Dorian Green-Warren will commit to a team (Michigan favored) at Army game, should enroll early. 3. Superlatives, with Adam Schnepp starts at 52:25 Overall this is an underrated class, with not a ton of big names. Hard to talk recruiting with people that don’t know a lot this year. Adam, Seth, and David go through their picks for biggest whiff, biggest recruiting win, favorite prospect, and more. 4. Five Questions, Five Answers, with Adam Schnepp starts at 1:19:22 David has to bail for this segment so it’s just Seth and Adam. Michigan seems to be more interested in converting strong side DE’s into DT’s than recruiting DT’s straight up. Michigan needs to beat OSU and make the playoffs to get top tier recruits. Coaching staff seems to be doing more scouting than going after five stars recently. Michigan will probably be okay at QB, may need to rely on a grad transfer at some point. Some great names in the 2021 recruiting class, and Michigan has a 5* QB leading it off. MUSIC: I've been waiting all year to do this: Ann Arbor native (and friend of the family) Andr Mayer Hawthorne! We take a listener question about time series and we talk with Nick Patterson of the Broad Institute about everything from ancient DNA to Alan Turing.
