Garrett Macdonald, CEO of Maritime Resources, provides an update on the company's progress with the Hammerdown Gold Project following a significant financing round. He discusses the operational advancements, including the recommissioning of the Pine Cove mill, the importance of cash flow, and the ongoing drilling program aimed at de-risking the project. The conversation also touches on market conditions, investor sentiment, and the company's future outlook as it aims to generate cash flow and explore further opportunities.
While teaching up at the Lodge at Pine Cove this past weekend we came across lots of tracks and sign. Tons of Sawfly (wasplike insects) cocoons, some leaf miners, galls a plenty, Eastern Chipmunk (Tamias striatus) holes and feeding sign, Red Fox (Vulpes vulpes) and Moose (Alces alces) scat and lots more. But there was one bit of sign that was really annoying me… something I wasn't sure about. There were mussel shells laying about all along the rivers edge. Along the beach, the rocky cove, and all across the depths of the French River. They had all been opened, most split at the hinge, some cracked, many fragile and crumbling apart when put a bit of pressure on them. Someone had been feeding on these mussels for quite a few years it seemed, and I wanted to, maybe even needed to, figure this mussel mystery out. What kind of mussel whose remains I was finding? Who are the animals who live in this place that consume them? Who was leaving these middens about? Did they leave any other clues behind? Why couldn't I find anything? I really get into puzzles sometimes and this one made for a great distraction from the anxious excitement of teaching in a new place. This episode was recorded just after sunrise, along a wet winding trail in the mist of a gentle rain. It was awesome. Corrections : While I said something along the lines of Clams and Mussels are the same, I think this is incorrect. There seems to be differences based on structure of their shells and how they attach or burrow into substrates. To learn more :Bird Tracks and Sign by Mark Elbroch and Eleanor Marks. Maritime Resources Corp CEO Garrett Macdonald joined Steve Darling from Proactive to share important developments regarding the company's project in Newfoundland and Labrador during his conversation with Steve Darling from Proactive. Maritime Resources Corp has acquired the Point Rousse assets, which include the Pine Cove processing plant, an in-pit tailings facility, access to a deep-water port, and over 54 km2 of highly prospective land in Newfoundland and Labrador. The acquisition of these assets is significant because it includes a fully permitted mill and tailings facility, reducing exposure to inflationary pressures on capital costs. The company plans to complete an updated feasibility study, with Pine Cove serving as the primary processing facility. The study will incorporate the Hammerdown, Orion, and Stoger Tight projects into the production plan. The Pine Cove mill is strategically located 40 km closer to Hammerdown than the Nugget Pond gold circuit, resulting in substantial haulage cost savings. Crews have been conducting minor repairs at the Pine Cove mill. Opportunities for improved recoveries and lower capital costs for future operations have been identified. The company has also signed a MOU with New Found Gold to study the idea of toll milling material from the Queensway project at the Pine Cove mill. Macdonald also shared with Proactive more details about the restart of the high-grade Hammer Down Gold Project. The project boasts proven and probable reserves with a remarkable grade of around 4.5 grams per tonne. With estimated capital requirements of approximately $75 million CAD, it's considered a small mine but has the potential to generate significant cash flow to help fund company operations, #proactiveinvestors #maritimeresourcescorp #tsxv #mae #MiningNews #Exploration #GoldInvestment #MineralProcessing #MiningIndustry #HammerDownProject #HighGradeGold #CanadianMining #NewfoundlandAndLabrador #MiningInfrastructure #ResourceExploration #GoldMills #MiningAcquisitions #MiningInvestment #GoldReserves #EnvironmentalAssessment #NewfoundGold #MiningJurisdiction #MineralPotential #MiningUpdates #GoldExploration #MiningProjects #ResourceDevelopment #CashFlowGeneration #invest #investing #investment #investor #stockmarket #stocks #stock #stockmarketnews

You belong in the Body of Christ! Even small children and those with disabilities should know that they belong in the church. On today’s episode, we’re wrapping up our series, “Keeping it Local: Leaning into Discipleship in your Local Context,” with a conversation on humility in discipleship. Throughout this series we’ve talked with women from Hunter’s local church and today, we get to share with you two of our favorites, Megan Eshbaugh and Susie Matter. They talk about what it means to walk in humility as we share not only the gospel, but our very lives so that we might learn more of what it means to follow Christ as we do life together. On today’s episode of the Journeywomen podcast, I’m chatting with Matt Lantz about serving the Body of Christ with our spiritual gifts. Matt gave us an overview of the purpose and function of each of the spiritual gifts and how we can go about identifying our gifts and use them to serve in our local churches. What’s the purpose of stewarding our gifts for the glory of God? Matt is a husband, father, and pastor who lives in Fort Worth, Texas with his wife and three children. He’s a graduate of TCU and Dallas Theological Seminary and has been working in full-time ministry since 2000 preparing the way for the Lord Jesus in the lives of men and women. Matt was the founding director of a discipleship program called the Forge at Pine Cove where he spent 12 years helping young men and women learn their identity and steward it well. He has recently moved on from the Forge and is now serving as the Recruitment and Development Pastor and the Associate Pastor of the West Campus at Christ Chapel Bible Church in Fort Worth, TX. MATT’S RESOURCES Talk to your church Serve Ask a mentor for their insight DEVELOPING AN IDENTITY STATEMENT “It’s less about crafting a cool sounding statement, than it is about understanding in humility who you are and how God designed you (Ephesians 2:10). The identity statement is essentially not a discovery of who you are as much as a declaration of what God has done in creating you. You cannot do that by yourself.” With the help of others, begin to determine these three elements of an identity statement: You are designed in this way… To work with these kinds of people… To accomplish this goal “An identity statement is a statement about design, who the design is for, and what the design is meant to accomplish specifically for the kingdom within the Body of Christ.” CONNECT WITH MATT Website Instagram Twitter DISCUSSION QUESTIONS What are spiritual gifts? On today’s episode of the Journeywomen podcast, I brought back one of your all-time favorite guests, Matt Lantz! We talked about fear and what happens when our fear is misplaced. I talked about my own wrestle with fear of man and per usual, Matt blew my mind, like when he said, “I’m reminded when I am afraid of something that I am not God. I don’t command anything. And I’m mortal. I can die, I can be hurt. I think God gave us the emotion of fear because he’s the only one worthy of it.” Matt also shares how we can help one another out as friends by reminding one another of the only One who is worthy of our fear. We fear Him because He is good, He commands things, and that He is commanding things for our good, and that He can even do that at our request. So you’ll know him a little better, Matt is a husband, father, and pastor who lives in Fort Worth, Texas with his wife and three children. 'Tis the season! Christopher Moore, the author of Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal; Fool; The Serpent of Venice; Sacre Bleu; The Lust Lizard of Melancholy Cove: and the upcoming Noir, talks about his “heart-warming tale of Christmas terror” The Stupidest Angel, how it came to be written, how it fits with the rest of his oeuvre, and also what's coming next. On this episode of the Journeywomen podcast I had the privilege of chatting with my friend and former mentor, Matt Lantz on the theology of identity. Matt is a husband, father, and pastor who lives in Fort Worth, Texas with his wife and three children. He has recently moved on from the Forge and is now serving as the Recruitment and Development Pastor at Christ Chapel Bible Church in Fort Worth. On this episode of the Journeywomen podcast I’m interviewing Amy Waters, a Licensed Professional Counselor, Women’s Bible Study leader, disciple maker, and self-proclaimed theology junkie. Amy spent nearly 10 years on staff at Pine Cove as a Conference Director and it was there that God gave her a passion for ministering to women and families. She earned a Masters in Marriage and Family Counseling from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2011 and is currently counseling at the Alethia Counseling Center in Tyler, TX. Amy and I are discussing how we as women can relate to our emotions. I’ve been planning this interview since the idea for the Journeywomen podcast was born many months ago. To be honest, I felt really awkward coming off of this recording, but I listened to Amy and I’s conversation while editing I realized that my own discomfort stemmed from the fact that I personally struggle to relate to my emotions. Brooks and I live in a culture where emotion isn’t admonished and I think I’m a little out of touch with my emotions these days. My chat with Amy was enlightening, helpful, and challenging. I hope it’s as helpful for you as it was for me! Today I’m interviewing my friend Katelyn Sullins on the topic of discipleship. Katelyn is a pursuer of delight, cultivating reflections of the God in whom it is found. She lives in Tyler, TX with her husband, Tyler, who is a counselor and her precious dog, River. Katelyn is the current Forge Women’s director at Pine Cove. I’ve watched her make disciples in a variety of contexts and know that we all have a lot to learn from her. This is one of my favorite topics in all the world and I can't wait to share our chat with you today! I get so fired up talking about discipleship and have absolutely experienced what Katelyn was talking about when she said that discipleship is a mutual transformation. I left this conversation inspired to continue pursuing discipleship relationships both as a disciple and disciple maker. If you want to learn more from Katelyn, be sure to follow her on social media at the handles listed in the show notes at www.hunterbeless.com. On another note, ya’ll blew me away with your receptivity to the launch last week! Thank you for submitting reviews and sharing the show with friends. That’s truly the most helpful thing you can do to help the Journeywomen Podcast! I really appreciate it. Looking forward to being with you guys again next Monday! Ann is the wife of a down-to-earth farmer; a book-reading mama to a posse of seven; and the author of the New York Times bestsellerOne Thousand Gifts: A Dare to Live Fully Right Where You Are, which has sold more than one million copies. Her latest book, The Broken Way: A Daring Path into the Abundant Life released in October 2016. Millions do life with her at her daily photographic online journal, one of the top 10 most widely read Christian websites: www.annvoskamp.com Admittedly, I was a little nervous about chatting with Ann. She has a sophisticated and incredibly intelligent aura about her that intimidated me from afar. But, gracious, I loved talking with her and getting to know her a little bit. In our conversation, Ann shares about the heart behind her newest book, The Broken Way. We chat about the temptation to present a polished life, but how God uses our brokenness to bring healing to our own hearts and perseveres the hearts around us. We chat about everything from their adoption journey to the refugee crisis to living modern day Esther lives. If you need a hug and a good kick in the pants, this is your episode. I think you'll feel so encouraged by Ann and also a push to use your influence to be a minister the oppressed around you. {You can listen to the showHERE. She, her husband, Mark, and their five sons live outside of Nashville, TN. In our conversation, Alli shares about her life as a working mom with a household of boys. She's a big advocate of personal freedoms - which goodness, I think we could all learn a thing or two from - like, taking the pressure off ourselves to do the things that don't fit within our natural giftings or capacity. Alli and I chat about our strengths and the sexy strength of woo that neither of us possess. If you've ever questioned your giftings and if you should pursue them, make sure to stick around for the last few minutes of the show. I felt so encouraged by Alli's motto to show up, love people, be herself and not quit. And just in case you're wondering, I made a promise in my conversation with Alli to read the Screwtape Letters before this episode aired and of course, I haven't done it. But you should. And maybe send me a summary. {You can listen to the showHERE. And of course, I would love if you would share with your friends. My guest for Happy Hour #113 is Sarah Rodriguez. Sarah is an author, speaker, blogger at www.journeyofsarah.com and also the Huffington Post. She is the creator of the Choose Joy Project, a random-acts of kindness initiative to honor the life of her late husband Joel. Her life's greatest role is that of Mommy to Milo and Ellis. Sarah is a one time NYC transplant who now makes her home in Oklahoma, where the best sunsets on earth are found. On today's show, Sarah shares her personal story of struggling with infertility, only to be followed by her husband's cancer diagnosis. She shares the painstaking three year journey of his diagnosis, treatment, cancer return and finally his passing. The details of Sarah's story are heartbreaking, but I think it's her perspective and response that will leave you feeling speechless and inspired. She describes how her suffering afforded her a relationship with God that she wouldn't have had otherwise, quoting Job 42.5 "I had heard of you by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye sees you." You're going to need your tissues for this one. And to learn a lot more about Sarah's story, you can grab her book From Depths We Rise here. {You can listen to the showHERE. Chris Sherrod, Director of the Shores Camp at Pine Cove, finishes part 2 of Psalm 51. Confession, Petition, Adoration and Resolution are steps outlined in the act of repentance. One question when we realize we are sinning, do we want pardon or purity?
Last year we were family camp newbies. But after a week of refreshment, bonding and spiritual encouragement, we were hooked on the concept. In fact, before we left camp we had signed up come back again this year. I could literally talk to you for hours about all the reasons Pine Cove is a gift to our family. (In fact, our time riding horses last year, inspired the most popular post I've ever written.–>read it here) With such a high bar, I worried how this year would measure up. Thankfully, it didn't disappoint. (well, ok, I didn't ride horses this year. . .which was disappointing at first. . .but I'm saving that story for another post). The director of Pine Cove Bluffs is Chris Sherrod. He is a gifted teacher and invaluable source of Spiritual mentoring to the husbands who attend camp. His lovely wife, Katie, also a superstar, spends one lunch with all the moms spurring us on with Truth and love. When I started my podcast, one person I wanted to interview was Katie Sherrod. So, along with our bags of clothes and some flashlights and lots of swimsuits, I grabbed my mic. She and I sat on the floor in my cabin one afternoon and recorded this podcast. I hope her words remind you of your value as a wife and mom. Most importantly, that you accept God's rest, relish His grace and seek His wisdom. What we chat about: How she and her husband followed their hearts for families and found a place to serve, even if that included a season of unemployment. How their adopted daughter was delivered to their door Christmas Eve & God's protection of this baby from disease and addiction. How they were given a vision of how God accepts us in our broken state, no questions, for the long haul, to rescue us. When you fear you won't be able to love more people, realizing you are standing in a river of God's love, never-ending, inviting others to join you. How Katie grabs time with Jesus anytime and every time. . .not just a “first in the morning” quiet time. Her advice to expect hard things to happen, not getting upset when they do. Allowing your kids to see Jesus in your reactions, even when you make mistakes, asking for forgiveness. How little ones reveal and remind you all your brokenness and need for God. Advice she would give her young self, to allow herself rest & accept God's grace. To cry out: “Give me wisdom to rule these people that you've put under me.” and He will give it to us. How there is no recipe for motherhood–which keeps you on your knees. First picture of the gospel is how you love your husband. Don't have to pray for a calling when you have young children. Everything you do for your children is your spiritual act of worship. A mother's prayer: “God, give me wisdom in this situation for this child for today in this moment.” Show Notes: Pine Cove Christian Camps “Let not our longing slay the appetite of our living” – Elisabeth Elliot
