This episode of Late Night Health explores two very different paths to healthier living—helping beloved pets stay strong and mobile, and reconsidering the role light may play in human well-being.Host Mark Alyn first welcomes Dr. Kelly Fishman, a veterinary sports medicine and rehabilitation specialist and founder of Strutt Animal Mobility Specialists in Pennsylvania. Fishman explains that a walk around the block may not provide enough activity for many dogs, particularly working breeds such as Labrador retrievers, border collies and Australian shepherds. Strength and cardiovascular exercises—including canine squats, planks and jumps—can help build muscle, support joints, manage weight and reduce behavior problems caused by excess energy.Fishman also shares practical advice for senior pets and owners with limited mobility. Dog treadmills, elevated exercise surfaces and carefully selected nutritional support can offer useful alternatives. For cats, whose arthritis often goes unnoticed, she emphasizes weight management, muscle support and attentive care. Her warm-weather tips include adding water to canned food and offering frozen blueberries or cucumber for extra hydration. Beyond physical health, Fishman discusses the emotional benefits pets provide, especially for older adults and people living alone. In the second half, Italian physician, ophthalmologist, musician and author Dr. Roberto Pinelli joins the program from Switzerland. His book, Awakening the Pineal Gland, examines the small gland located deep within the brain and its connections to light, melatonin, sleep and circadian rhythms.Blending neuroscience, ancient symbolism and personal intuition, Pinelli describes his research into carefully modulated light and sound. He argues that light should be viewed not simply as a danger, but as a form of biological nourishment when experienced responsibly—particularly during gentler morning and late-afternoon hours. While several of his broader therapeutic ideas remain unconventional, the conversation offers a fascinating look at his effort to connect ophthalmology, nature, consciousness and spirituality.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/late-night-health-radio--2804369/support.

What if the pineal gland is more than just a biological clock? In this episode of Unity Manifest Podcast, Gary talks with Dr. Roberto Pinelli — ophthalmologist, musician, and author of Awaking the Pineal Gland — about the mysterious relationship between light, sound, consciousness, meditation, intuition, and the “third eye.”Dr. Pinelli shares the unusual path that took him from studying music and conducting to medicine and ophthalmology, and eventually to researching how light and sound interact with the human nervous system. The conversation moves from melatonin and circadian rhythms to ancient symbols of the pine cone and third eye, altered states, intuition, dreams, creativity, and the possibility that modern science and spirituality may have more in common than we think. They also explore why ancient cultures placed so much importance on the pineal gland, how music can instantly change consciousness, and whether reconnecting with natural light, rhythm, and simpler ways of living can change how we experience ourselves and the world.A wide-ranging conversation at the crossroads of science, ancient wisdom, consciousness, and human potential.AppleSpotify

Support the show¡SUSCRÍBETE!: https://www.buzzsprout.com/1702252/subscribe

Lia is one smart cookie. Despite holding degrees from both Stanford and UC Berkeley she was unable to crack the code on her struggle with overeating for decades. No matter how many books read, diets tried, or mindful eating methods subscribed to she could not resolve her struggle with food and weight. After becoming a life coach in 2016 she learned about weight loss coaching and was totally skeptical-- after all, if it worked she would have tried it already! She decided to give it a go anyway and was blown away by the results. Not only did she lose weight without using willpower or resistance, but she no longer experienced the over-hunger and cravings that had plagued her since childhood. Weight loss coaching provided the missing link!! It not only helped her figure out what to eat, but it addressed her mindset around food and weight. She learned to think differently which led her to eat differently and in a simple, sustainable way. That was 30 pounds ago. Today she lives happily with her family in California and maintains her natural weight without counting calories or carbs. She's on a mission to teach other women how to ditch the diet drama and create the lives they crave, unapologetically. Learn more about Lia at:      https://liapinellicoaching.com/eatingwithoutfear.....and about the  3 simple tools that allowed her to lose 7 lbs. without dieting Eating Without Fear gives you step-by-step instructions on how to...1. Identify physical versus emotional hunger2. Eat only when you are truly hungry3. Stop when you're full (yes, it's actually possible!)
