Luego de que España rechazó la invitación a la toma de protesta de Claudia Sheinbaum, el próximo primero de octubre, la presidenta electa explicó en un comunicado que la razón por la cual no invitó al Rey Felipe, fue que no respondió una carta que le envió el presidente López Obrador en 2019, en la que planteaba que España reconociera los agravios hechos en la conquista. Al respecto, en la conferencia matutina, el presidente López Obrador respaldó esta decisión y señaló que las diferencias son con la monarquía española y no con los habitantes.  A 10 años de la desaparición de los normalistas de Ayotzinapa, el jefe del ejecutivo federal reconoció que no se avanzó en la investigación del caso como hubieran querido, y reveló que envió una carta a los familiares de los normalistas, en la que aseguró que se continuará con las indagatorias.     Tras poco más de 8 horas de discusión, senadores de MORENA y aliados aprobaron en lo general y en lo particular, con 86 votos a favor y 42 en contra, la reforma que establece el traslado de la guardia nacional a la SEDENA. El dictamen aprobado se remitió a las legislaturas de los estados a fin de que reciba el aval de por lo menos 17 congresos locales. Tabasco es el primer estado en aprobar la minuta. -La oferta de vivienda en el corredor Cancún-Riviera Maya cerró con 551 proyectos inmobiliarios, con un total de 42 mil viviendas, durante el primer cuatrimestre de 2024, en su mayoría concentrados en los sectores residencial y residencial plus. Tulum sigue encabezando la lista con 284 proyectos, convirtiéndose en el municipio que más buscan los inversionistas. En el caso de Cancún, 122 proyectos, de los cuales 60 están en el polígono sur, que representa la zona más importante. Playa del Carmen capta 113 proyectos, y en el caso de Puerto Morelos 18. Los restantes se encuentran en Isla Mujeres y Cozumel.

Fléau des baigneurs en quête de la parfaite carte postale, la sargasse s'est installée durablement dans les Caraïbes. Cette macro-algue flottante qui se développe très vite à cause de la pollution dans les océans prolifère dans l'océan Atlantique et les courants la poussent à s'échouer sur les plages. L'année dernière, plus de 30 000 tonnes ont été ramassées sur les côtes mexicaines.  Tous les matins, tôt sur les côtes des Caraïbes mexicaines, des dizaines d'employés fédéraux ramassent des sargasses sur le sable. Certains jours, rien que sur la petite plage de Puerto Morelos, ces algues brunes remplissent jusqu'à deux conteneurs. Celles-ci partiront à la poubelle, mais un peu plus loin, Omar Vasquez, jardinier et fondateur de Bluegreen, préfère leur donner un autre usage. Il produit des briques en sargasse pour fabriquer des petites maisons. « Elles contiennent 40% de sargasse et 60% d'un mélange organique que nous fabriquons ici, détaille-t-il. Vous voyez, elles sèchent ainsi au soleil et en six heures, c'est prêt. Elles répondent à tous les critères et ont la résistance nécessaire pour des murs de séparation, comme n'importe quel bloc. Ce qu'on veut, c'est les diffuser dans tous les pays pour aider beaucoup de gens à avoir un logement digne. » Une algue qui déséquilibre l'écosystème de la côte La sargasse se nourrit des nutriments qu'elle rencontre dans l'océan et peut doubler son volume en deux semaines. « En mer ouverte, la sargasse est un écosystème très important. C'est l'habitat de centaines, sinon de milliers d'espèces, tant des espèces marines que des oiseaux ou des tortues », explique la chercheuse Rosa Rodriguez, spécialiste de cette macro-algue. Le danger survient quand, prise au piège par les courants, elle s'échoue dans ces proportions excessives. « Les volumes qui nous arrivent sont si grands que l'algue commence à se décomposer et à produire du liquide résiduel et des gaz toxiques, et ça provoque un déséquilibre dans tous les écosystèmes de la côte, depuis la plage, la lagune, les récifs, les herbes marines, le récif corallien et l'aquifère », poursuit la chercheuse. Les conditions dans l'océan sont de plus en plus favorables au développement des sargasses. Alors la côte mexicaine, qui dépend essentiellement du tourisme, n'a pas d'autre choix que d'affronter le problème. « Les solutions consisteraient à limiter le changement climatique, nettoyer les océans de toute la pollution que nous y avons fait. Donc ce qu'on fait plutôt, c'est atténuer le problème », conclut Rosa Rodriguez. Un usage possible dans le secteur énergétique Raul Tapia Tussell et son équipe de scientifiques ont révélé la présence de métaux lourds dans les sargasses échouées. Ils préconisent un usage dans le secteur énergétique et sont parvenus à produire des petites quantités de biogaz. « Nous collectons la sargasse, on la lave pour la débarrasser du sable de la plage. Ensuite, on lui fait un pré-traitement biologique, c'est-à-dire qu'on utilise des micro-organismes qui sont capables de dégrader la sargasse. Ce qu'il reste passe dans un digesteur avec des bactéries aérobiques et ça génère du méthane. » Une fois brûlé, ce biogaz génère de l'électricité. C'est un procédé qu'il aimerait répliquer à grande échelle dans tous les territoires des Caraïbes.

Para este 2023, se contempla la apertura de poco más de 230 nuevos restaurantes de cadenas importantes, esto para todo el estado, y con ello seguir detonando la industria gastronómica, señala Marcy Bezaleel Pacheco, presidente de la Cámara Nacional de la Industria de Restaurantes y Alimentos Condimentados (Canirac) en Quintana Roo. Indicó que lo anterior, va a seguir impulsando una de las industrias que más empleo genera, y dijo que las inversiones se irán “cocinando” a lo largo de este año y serán tanto cadenas nacionales como internacionales las que abrirán establecimientos, entre ellas, algunas españolas, luego de que se firmaran acuerdos en la Feria Internacional de Turismo (Fitur) 2023. Mencionó que estas cadenas llegan a invertir entre 5 y 10 millones de dólares por cada apertura, además, de que esto impulsa la promoción de los destinos, promoviendo también a Chetumal, Bacalar, Tulum, Playa del Carmen, Puerto Morelos y no solamente Cancún, que es uno de los favoritos para la gastronomía.

La directora regional de programas del bienestar, Dianely Benítez, informó que en Cancún y Puerto Morelos 35 mil personas de la tercera edad, ya reciben la Pensión del Bienestar.

En entrevista con Pedro Ferriz De Con para Central Equilibrio, Adolfo Solís Farías, abogado fiscalista afirmó que Andrés Manuel López Obrador se extralimitó y violenta la Constitución al publicar el decreto de expropiación de un terreno en Quintana Roo para continuar con la quinta etapa del tren maya.Además, subrayó que la zona expropiada por causa de utilidad pública es una superficie total de un millón 93 mil 118.93 metros cuadrados a favor de la federación, que afectan a treinta y seis inmuebles de propiedad privada y que son predios ubicados en los municipios de Benito Juárez, Puerto Morelos, Solidaridad y Tulum, Quintana Roo.

My guest today is Norm Bour, writer and blogger at travelyounger.com!   Norm left the U.S. permanently in February of 2019, at the age of 64, and started traveling to a different country every 6 weeks!    As Norm will tell you, he started international travel late in life, but once he was bit by the travel bug, he never looked back. Norm was living his travel life to the fullest until borders around the world started to close in March 2020.    Eventually, Norm and his girlfriend Kathleen found themselves as the only two passengers on a Delta flight from Ohio to Cancun, Mexico in March of 2020 when they decided to base themselves in the town of Puerto Morelos until the pandemic subsided.    When we talked Norm was still based in Puerto Morelos more than a year later and is now asking if it is time to start traveling again? Without self-compassion, we may not believe that we need or are worthy of the same care we give to others. We may feel that self-care is selfish or a luxury. But what we are seeing now is an epidemic of compassion fatigue and burn-out of helpers, healers and change-makers. If we want to mitigate burn-out, we must cultivate a practice of self-compassion. Compassion means "to have concern for the suffering of others". The root words are COM (with) and PASSION (suffering) and the Latin origin word "compati" means "to suffer with". In order to sit with the suffering of others, we must have compassion for them...and in order to sit with the suffering of others without becoming overwhelmed by them, we MUST have self-compassion. Self-compassion allows us to see life from a different perspective, to commit to deep, courageous self-care practices, to prioritize rest and time off, and allows us the space (time & energy) to be with others' suffering while also tending to our own.
