Check out Cam's latest novel / audio drama here! What does it mean to call a horror movie a "guilty pleasure"? Why do we caveat our feelings about incredibly entertaining, funny, well-made movies by calling them "trashy "or emphasizing that they are "just a remake"? In this episode, we're not just analyzing but celebrating the glorious 2009 remake of Friday the 13th. Topics include: our glowing second impressions after a rewatch, the power of good lighting, a debate about sexuality / sex negativity / the male gaze, and what happens when you extend a cold open to become something more like a short film. What makes a great remake? Faithfully honoring the original, completely reinventing it, or improving it so dramatically that the first movie becomes obsolete? This week, Griffey, Heath, Sam and Sophia draft the most messed-up movie remakes of all time. With The Thing and The Ring banned from competition, the board is wide open for body horror, slashers, alien invasions, vampires, psychosexual thrillers and one deeply disturbing Lindsay Lohan family comedy. Expect heated arguments over The Fly, Evil Dead, The Hills Have Eyes, Rob Zombie's Halloween, Nosferatu, Dredd, Friday the 13th and Invasion of the Body Snatchers, plus a compelling case for why The Parent Trap secretly qualifies as horror. Along the way, we thirst over Judge Judy, confuse Harry Styles with the Jonas Brothers, learn about Sam's fixation on powerful calves and discover Martin Scorsese's forgotten masterpiece, Infernal Desires. PLAYLIST Danny Veras. sintonia . 2026 Iconic · Valley of Lost Souls ·(Single) · 2026 The Hu · Horsemen · Rumble of Thunder · 2022 Night Hearth · Mi Universo · single · 2024 Amon Amarth · Gjallarhorn · single · 2023 Eric Gromwald. From there, the chaos only escalates. The crew talks about the growing national blood shortage, why knowing your blood type actually matters, and how one simple donation can literally save lives before immediately steering the conversation straight into complete nonsense...because that's what a comedy podcast is supposed to do.Then comes the story nobody asked for but everyone will remember forever.A New Zealand metal concert turns into one of the most horrifying concert stories imaginable after a mosh pit gets interrupted by an unexpected biological disaster. The gang debates whether anyone could actually miss that smell, why everyone immediately started throwing up, and why this somehow isn't even the first time it's happened at a heavy music show.Yes...It's every bit as disgusting as it sounds.Meanwhile...The crew battles through Jeopardy music trivia, debates classic albums, laughs about DevilSkin vs. Devil's Kin, and somehow turns human biology into comedy. In Crap on Celebrities, there's plenty happening:• Carly Simon reveals her Parkinson's diagnosis.• Brett Michaels recovers from surgery while fans wonder about upcoming tour dates.• Larry the Cable Guy undergoes emergency surgery.• Christopher Nolan explains why he'll never direct a romantic comedy.• Kevin Smith announces a Jay & Silent Bob video game.• Rob Zombie's wife releases her debut single.• Tom Cruise family drama gets another chapter.• Jon Stewart and Pete Davidson reunite for a huge comedy benefit.• Plus celebrity birthdays, weird entertainment news, and all the sarcastic commentary you'd expect from The Rizzuto Show. It's another morning where serious conversations somehow collide with absolute nonsense—and somehow it all makes perfect sense. If you're looking for a comedy podcast packed with ridiculous stories, pop culture commentary, questionable life advice, St. Louis humor, and enough laughs to make your coworkers question what you're listening to, you've found today's episode.Because only The Rizzuto Show can go from saving lives with blood donations...to discussing poop in a mosh pit...without missing a beat.Follow The Rizzuto Show → https://linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → https://1057thepoint.com/RizzShow.Hear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Nothing says "good morning" quite like realizing one of your coworkers completely disappeared. This episode of The Rizzuto Show starts with full-on panic when King Scott doesn't show up for work. Is he okay? Did the baby arrive? Is there an emergency? Nope...he just slept through everything. Naturally, this earns him the legendary Clock of Shame and enough roasting to last until the baby's old enough to drive. From there, the chaos only gets better. The crew uncovers a little-known towing loophole that could save you hundreds of dollars if you ever catch your vehicle being hauled away. Is it legitimate? Is it shady? Is bribing a tow truck driver with a burrito technically negotiating? Important questions are asked. Then things get somehow even more ridiculous.A seasoned mountain climber accidentally impales himself with his own hiking pole...and calmly hikes TEN MILES back down the mountain with it still sticking through his body. Somehow that's still not the craziest survival story of the day.A solo sailor spends an entire month drifting across the Pacific after losing his mast, running out of water, and improvising his own survival system while waiting for someone—anyone—to notice him.Meanwhile, TikTok has apparently decided diarrhea is now a weight-loss strategy. Yes, really. The crew discusses the unbelievably stupid "Cyclospora Skinny" trend, contaminated lettuce, food recalls, and why intentionally giving yourself explosive diarrhea may not be the wellness breakthrough influencers think it is.If medical malpractice stories make you cringe...brace yourself. A woman goes in for a routine procedure and somehow wakes up missing the wrong organ entirely. The crew debates how much compensation is actually enough when a doctor's mistake permanently changes your life.Along the way there are conversations about:• hilarious late-to-work disasters• bizarre downtown vandalism• towing scams• rental car nightmares• hiking fails• ocean survival• bad diet trends• weird medical news• and the everyday nonsense that somehow turns into a three-hour comedy therapy session.King Scott kicks things off by earning the legendary Clock of Shame after an alarm clock betrayal (or operator error...depending on who you believe). EP.637A raw, unfiltered roundtable with Michael Decon, Max Cole, and Daniel dives deep into the intersections of religion, culture, media, and modern identity. What starts as a loose conversation quickly evolves into a wide ranging exploration of belief systems, questioning whether religion serves as a genuine spiritual path, a historical tool of control, or something far more complex. From alternate origin theories and supernatural encounters to critiques of institutional power, the discussion challenges conventional narratives while staying grounded in personal perspective. The episode expands into sharp cultural commentary on loneliness, group identity, and the human need to belong whether through religion, fandom, or fringe communities. The hosts tackle provocative questions around sexuality, parenting, and social norms, revealing both personal biases and broader societal tensions. Along the way, they examine modern “cult” dynamics, from hyper niche lifestyle groups to conspiracy driven movements, blurring the line between belief and influence.Shifting gears, the conversation taps into music and media from shock rock icons like Rob Zombie to the complicated legacy of aging performers like Iggy Pop reflecting on how time reshapes both artists and audiences. The hosts also pay homage to the evolution of shock radio and tabloid style media, connecting past pioneers to today's content landscape.Threaded throughout are wild personal anecdotes, dark humor, and candid reflections on past conflicts, offering a glimpse into the personalities behind the microphones. As the episode unfolds, a subtle theme emerges: the tension between chaos and growth, and the ongoing challenge of navigating a world where truth, identity, and entertainment are constantly colliding.

The Hu are an internationally known, global sensation, Mongolian rock band. Now the words "Mongolian rock band" isn't something you hear everyday yet The Hu have been able to succesfully marry tradiation Mongolian music and hard rock together in way no one had ever heard before. With their 3rd album The Hun about to see the light of day and a tour with Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson bout to kick off, I catch up with Jaya of The Hu. Note: We are having this conversation via a translator so be patient while listening.

The Bonfire with Big Jay Oakerson and Dan Soder

Marilyn Manson's lawsuits are returning and so are the documentaries made on the musician. Jay does not want to believe Manson is guilty because he has been a huge fan of his music for so long. Jay educates Bob on the allegations made by the actress ex-girlfriend and Marilyn's career decline. | The Bonfire crew plans to go to the Manson/Rob Zombie concert this summer and everyone must wear evil costumes. Drowning Pool guitarist CJ Pierce joins Barnaby on The DJ Force X Podcast for a deep‑dive conversation celebrating the 25th anniversary of Sinner — the album that helped define a generation of heavy music. With the band returning to the UK and Europe this June for a full‑album anniversary tour, CJ talks legacy, evolution, and why Sinner still hits as hard today as it did in 2001.CJ reveals exclusive details about the limited‑edition smoky‑purple vinyl reissue (only 500 copies), complete with bonus tracks including the Triple X remix and the Rob Zombie collaboration Man Without Fear — even showing Barnaby the very first copy on camera, complete with a paper‑cut bloodstain from opening it (“Paper cut… that's good luck right there” ).The conversation also covers Drowning Pool's resurgence with a new generation — from the Offset & JID “Bodies” sample and their live performance together on Jimmy Fallon (“we plugged in and played… it was awesome” ) to their collaboration with Sorry X, and even an unexpected EDM twist thanks to Sophie Tucker's dance remix now closing their live sets.CJ also teases progress on the new Drowning Pool album, written by the original core trio during Ryan McCombs' soil‑tour downtime (“all this music started coming out… nothing's forced” ).Plus: tour stories, nu‑metal nostalgia, baggy jeans, vinyl collecting, electrical‑work zen, and CJ's three pivotal albums that shaped his life.If you're catching Drowning Pool at Download Festival, Frome, Bexhill, Cardiff, Guildford, or the EU dates — this episode is the perfect warm‑up.

Jay Pinsky from The Outdoor Wire and Hunting Wire joins the show this week for a wide-ranging conversation. Jay dives into his upcoming Aoudad (Barbary sheep) hunt and shares stories from his first Aoudad adventure — the challenges, the terrain, and what makes these rugged hunts so addictive. We also dig into the buzz around a possible April Fools prank claiming that Rob Zombie is directing a new Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie, separating fact from fan-fiction and debating whether it would even be a good idea. Plus, we break down the real differences in scope glass quality and what hunters and shooters should actually look for when investing in optics. Finally, we discuss the latest troubling developments in Virginia as the state continues to erode Second Amendment rights — and what it means for gun owners moving forward. Tune in for hunting tales, industry insight, movie talk, and straight talk on gun rights with Jay Pinsky. He went to High School with Tim O'Connor, slept on Tim McKenney's floor, lived in a garage in the Mission with the Butcher, took ecstacy with Duffy in Germany, dabble in the porn industry and played Sick Head in Rob Zombie's “31”. That and so much more and through it all my long time friend Pancho Moler has always ‘walked tall'. Big love Panchy, thanks so much for meeting up!
