In today's Shopify Ecommerce Podcast, my guest is Pavel Petrinich the Co-Founder and CRO of SegmentStream.SegmentStream is a Conversion Modelling Platform that helps e-commerce & D2C brands drive more sales by providing them with real-time marketing attribution insights. Marketers rely on attribution data to make informed budget allocation decisions, while ad platforms like Google and Facebook Ads use this information to optimize their auto-bidding and targeting algorithms. However, current analytics tools can no longer provide accurate and timely attribution insights due to modern cookie restrictions and complex customer journeys that involve multiple browsers and devices. SegmentStream stands out from other tools by utilizing its proprietary Conversion Modeling technology to accurately measure the incremental value of each website visit into future, predicted conversions, rather than past conversions. This ensures that each traffic source receives the proper value, even if the actual conversion occurs from another device, browser, or cookie. By evaluating website visits in real-time, marketing teams can identify growth opportunities, and ad platforms receive crucial real-time feedback on the incremental value of each ad click. SegmentStream is an official partner of Meta and Google, as well as trusted by L'Oreal, KitchenAid, Omnicom Media Group, and more than 50 other e-commerce brands and agencies.Building a successful Shopify business requires not only hard work and dedication, but also access to the right information and tooling. Most referral and influencer programs drive shoppers to a homepage or product page that totally cuts the customer or creator out of the commerce experience. With Superfiliate, merchants can automate the creation of thousands of personalized storefronts and drive a higher activation and conversion rate. Isn't it weird how our photo-sharing apps have turned into major sales channels? Yes, today we're talking about social selling. NOT to be confused with social media marketing or advertising! In this article, we'll cover: What Is Social Selling and Why Is It in Demand in 2022? How Shopify Stores Can Use Video Marketing for Social Selling in 2022 What Is Social Selling and Why Is It in Demand in 2022? Social selling or social commerce is selling your products and services directly through social media channels. It's not about writing cold messages to strangers or binge-following everyone you see in Recommendations. It is about: Building a brand Making every interaction represent your company and its values Offering solutions to the target audience's problems Garnering social proof which helps build trust That's what makes this approach so in demand in 2022. People trust transparent brands that have solutions to their problems. Social media has all the tools for that. If you still doubt the trendiness of this approach, Statista reports that by 2028, the market may grow to more than US$3 trillion (yes, with ‘tr') worldwide. Trillion! Using Video Marketing As a Part of Your Social Selling Strategy Speaking of visuals. 9 out of 10 users say they're looking for more videos by a brand (those they like, presumably). Moreover, 79% of marketers said they would start using video content in their strategies in 2022. Why is this important for social selling? First of all, video content converts viewers into customers. 55% of consumers say watching videos have helped them choose what brand to purchase from and what product to buy. Besides, on Instagram, you can now tap on a video and see links to the products shown in the video. We knew you could do that with pictures, but now, video is becoming the trend! Why not include links to your Shopify products there? Plus, by creating high-quality, engaging, and informative videos, you build trust with your target audience. Furthermore, collecting reviews with photos and videos and sharing them on social media helps you garner social proof. In Judge.me, just enable the review photos and videos so your customers can share these media in their reviews. Video is the most engaging content on social media. And we're not just talking about videos of funny cats (but they're included). Cisco reports that in 2022, at least 82% of Internet traffic should be video content. You don't want to miss such an opportunity. Any tips? Sure! Provide solutions to people's problems in your content. Focus on the aesthetics and philosophy of your brand. Always know your social media video specs to upload your content in the right format. Use Reels to promote on Instagram for free. Hire professional operators for video and copywriters for text. Apply an effective SEO strategy to make the content visible in search results. The first thing you should do is market and competitor research. If you don't know where to start, use an automated SEO competitor analysis tool by SE Ranking that will help you identify your competitors and spy their most performing keywords and content. It's better to analyze them by target countries, so this tool by SE Ranking comes in handy with its databases covering the whole world. How Shopify Stores Can Use Video Marketing for Social Selling in 2022 Many social selling platforms can become the top places to draw customers. How can video marketing for your Shopify store fit into this? Let's discover next. Social Selling with Facebook With 1 billion active users, Facebook is the top choice when coming to social selling. You can add Facebook as an additional sales channel on your Shopify store. Then, you can sync your Shopify products to Facebook and display them on your Facebook Page. Once connected, you can also create and track your Facebook ads campaign directly from Shopify. Since video production takes more time and effort, it is important to predict how much traffic you can get using this typ...

Dropshipping is when someone goes to your website, pays you then you contact a supplier to have the item shipped to your customer. You are really just the middle person. For the red flags, For starters, all the customer service is on your shoulders and unfortunately, the shipping is done by someone else, but you can take the blame for anything that happens. You also take the blame when shit goes right to. You are the front person. The bad news is that it does cost money to start, every business does. There is a monthly fee to start it the cheapest is $29 to start and more bad news is you're probably going to have to spend more money to upgrade. Plus, there is advertising which is a whole other topic. Also, Paypal and Shopify Payments don't like it if you drop ship too much because usually, someone will have to wait longer for their product, which can increase the chance of a chargeback. A chargeback is a return of money to a payer of a transaction. Paypal and Shopify could then hold you responsible and penalize you. Another thing to think about is competition. It's easy for someone to come in and steal your winning product. Then they pump money behind it and your toast. They just have to outspend you in Ads. In fact, Amazon does this with products. If they notice a product doing VERY well, they come in with big pockets and the other person can't compete. You can only have 3 options per product. It's also not easy to add custom fields such as you need additional information from a customer for a product. If you want a bunch of sales data and you like to look at graphs you are going to have to pay extra for it. You might be wondering I'm not scared, how much does the average person make when they open a Shopify Store? Depending on who you ask the answer could be "you could" earn $100,000 a year or a $1,000,000. Let's be brutally honest and most people start things and NEVER finish them. I'm going to go with the average Shopify store earning $0 a year. Not everything is doom and gloom with Shopify and there are some advantages to this business. I detailed them in a blog post you can check out by clicking on the link in the description or going to my website at trustthelink.com. Also, talk about how Shopify is different than Affiliate marketing. And I go into more detail about the platform. Hope this was helpful, have a nice day.

So I bought some fake Bowflex weight from a fake store. And here's what happened ...

Out of the Top 20 Shopify Stores, 18 Are Influencers Top 20 Shopify Stores If you are an online marketer or an online entrepreneur you know the importance of influencers Looking at the Top 20 Shopify Stores I can see that 18 are owned by Influencers and the other 2 use influencers to promote their brand. What this tells me is that influencer marketing is working. By the way, you don't need to own one of the top 20 Shopify stores to use influencer marketing. you can start testing today with influencers or micro influencers. Just make sure you see that the followers they have are real and not bots, and also make sure that these real followers are actually engaging with the content shared by the influencer. A good rule of thumb I like to use is 10% below 250 thousand followers and above 3% in a following that is over 1 Million Hope this helps Thanks QA
