Inspired by a college photography class, he found joy in refining and enhancing the final product. Photography became a side-hustle, but he encountered challenges in business and customer acquisition.Taking a leap of faith, Justin relocated to Las Vegas, where he connected with individuals deeply involved in media, such as Omar El-Takori and Shawn Cannell. This opened new opportunities for him, including a referral to work with Ryan as his first podcast editor.According to Justin, successful creators immerse themselves in learning and consistently apply their knowledge, while those who struggle often hesitate to start creating and lack a clear purpose in their videos. Ryan has observed that successful individuals emulate those who have already achieved success, recognizing that genuine supporters cannot be bought, unlike followers.Justin emphasizes the importance of self-education, commitment, and practical implementation of acquired knowledge. Successful individuals swiftly adapt and address challenges along the way.During their conversation, they discuss a significant change coming to the Wealthy Way podcast—it's expanding! Not only will episodes run for an hour and a half or longer, but there will also be separate podcasts and hosts for Wealthy Creator, Wealthy Business, Wealthy Kingdom, and more. This expansion allows for deeper discussions with guests on relevant topics. The episode concludes with a reminder to play the long game and persist despite initial challenges, as substantial results often require dedication and building a substantial video library.

How the f**k did Billy Quach go from an engineering major to creating content for major sports teams and successful startups? Billy is among our most highly recommended guests, and we’re stoked to have him. He graduated from the University of Arkansas in 2017. During his time in school, Billy was a Video Production Assistant for the Razorback Sports Network and also a graphic designer for Major League Quidditch. Shortly after leaving Fayetteville, he was a Camera Operator for the Northwest Arkansas Naturals baseball team. Then, still in the summer of 2017, Billy left Arkansas to be a Production Assistant for the Kansas City Chiefs. He worked his way up in the organization, and today, he is a Social Media Producer for the team and the Creative Director for Let It Fly Media. So how did Billy’s camera purchase change his career path in college? And what’s the professional quidditch world really like?

Erkan Dörtoluk lives and works as a freelance photographer, social media producer and writer in Düsseldorf. Erkan is best known for his Twitter account "Rheinbahn intim". There he posts weekly snippets of conversation that he overhears on public transportation. In 2016 a book about this was published by Piper Verlag. During an exhibition of the French photographer Guy Bourdin at the NRW Forum in 2005 he discovered his passion for photography. After a short time, he was approached by numerous clients from the automotive industry, publishing houses and also the Kunstsammlung NRW to ask if they could use his photographs. In 2007 Erkan completed his training as one of the first IHK certified "Social Media Manager" in Germany. Thus he accompanied digital photography and its processing in social media from the very beginning. In our interview he tells us, among other things, what makes a good picture for him. After holding impressive roles as a reporter for ESPNW, a Social Media Producer for the MLB, and working as an Account Manager for VaynerMedia, she set out to carve her own path. Soon after making that leap, she booked her first client and created "Social Victories". Almost 3 years in, she's helped multiple professional athletes create a second career for themselves, and she's even written a book about her journey.

March 2020 will be forever known as the time that life on earth changed and not just for a day or a few days but for forever. In the USA we will often hear about how celebrities and famous athletes are coping. This is not to say they're not sacrificing or having to cope but what is more important to me are the stories of those who are not part of those elite groups. The playing field has been leveled and now, a good percentage of us, are on the same level. Rich, poor or in-between, we are all figuring this out one day at a time. Jen Rock has worn many hats in the entertainment business and she's currently a copywriter and producing content for clients who hire her to assist with their social media campaigns. She's also a fitness trainer. I have known Jen for a few years and have noticed she's a go-getter and hard worker. Anyone who works in the entertainment business has to be used to things changing on a daily or even hourly basis, but the pandemic certainly was a new one. We discuss working before and during the pandemic as well as what we look forward to when this is part of the history books. "I didn't know what I wanted to and not until very recently did I discover that. I've had lots of different career paths but I still managed to get myself into some really good positions in terms of work. It's not the end of the world if you don't know what you want to do until you're 30, 35, 40 or whatever. That's just part of life. You've just got to roll with it." My guest this episode is Podcaster, Coach and Social Media Producer Alex Manzi. Born and bred in London, Alex says he “never got on with” with school and found greater purpose working at his Uncle’s delicatessen at the weekends. It wasn’t a surprise, then, that Alex decided to forgo University in favour of hitting the ground running in the workplace. From working in a pasta factory to delivery driving, he spent his first year as a jack-of-all-trades before working at a factory for almost three years. While he considers this a dark and directionless time, it was also when he created his Music Blog 'We Are SME' and Club Night called Wanderlust. By day, he was stretching canvases onto their frames and by night he was furiously writing about his favourite new musicians. Eventually, he landed his first job in Media at an Events and Marketing firm, before embarking on a career in Advertising. In 2014, he became BBC Radio 1Xtra’s Social Media Producer, where he spent four and a half years tweeting and Instagramming about music. At a point, however, he couldn’t help but feel something was missing. He stooped back into that familiar dark place, finding solace in motivational podcasts and books. This motivated him to create his very own podcast ‘Dreamer’s Disease’ - a podcast dedicated to telling the inspirational stories of others, in a bid to inspire himself and his audience. Almost 80,000 plays later and after four years at 1Xtra, Alex has now taken a leap to pursue his passion full-time, to see where Dreamer’s Disease can take him. I had the pleasure of working with Alex at the BBC and was so impressed when he started his own podcast on the side. Seeing him go ahead and pursue his dreams stoked a fire inside me, and served as an inspiration to get my podcast off the ground. I absolutely love how honest and candid Alex is when talking about some of life's more difficult subjects. In this relatable chat, Alex talks about how he felt lost for most of his twenties, unsure of what he really wanted to do. He explains how his decision to reject the usual path of university in favour of working has served him in the long run, and how feeling directionless has been the cause of some of his darkest moments. Alex also explains how he found purpose and re-discovered himself, to now be in a position to help others do the same with his Podcast Dreamer's Disease and new Coaching Business. **Follow me:** Twitter: [@katiephilo](https://twitter.com/katiephilo) Instagram: [@katiephilo](https://www.instagram.com/katiephilo/) [](https://katiephilo.com/) [www.katiephilo.com](https://katiephilo.com/) [](https://katiephilo.com/) **Follow Alex: ** **Twitter:** [@IAmAlexManzi](https://twitter.com/IAmAlexManzi) **Instagram:** [@iamalexmanzi](https://www.instagram.com/iamalexmanzi/) **Facebook:** [@iamalexmanzi](https://www.facebook.com/iamalexmanzi/) **Follow Dreamer's Disease** **Twitter: **[@DreamersPod](https://twitter.com/DreamersPod) **Instagram: **[@the_dreamersdisease](https://www.instagram.com/the_dreamersdisease/)
Hi there and welcome to another ep of Take One Backstage taking you behind the scenes of Sydney’s live music scene. Yes! It’s been quite a while I know since I’ve uploaded an episode. Now I won’t take you through what’s been happening between now and then but the good news is that I’ve now got two extra pairs of hands on deck and making not only this podcast but the radio edition of the pod, Take One, happen. They are the wonderful Max Wills who is the new Audio Producer of the show and Jayne Franco who is the new Social Media Producer. They’ve been intro’ed on the radio edition of the pod, but if you missed that, don’t fret, they will also be getting added to the pod too. Getting back to this week’s ep though, I’m very excited to share this most recent chat with Alice Terry. She’s launching her debut album ‘The Fear of Alice Terry’ on the 16th and 17th of June at Leadbelly in Newtown. Race over and grab your tix if you hear this in time as she’s already sold out the 16th. I don’t think I’ve laughed so hard, my face hurt so much from any interview thus far. There is also a drinking game attached to this interview which you’ll hear about later, and also an expletive warning. She is one of my all-time favourite Australian acts who will captivate your heart in seconds. Links to her music and shows are in the below. Just to give you a heads up, there will be a whole lot more archived sessions of Take One Backstage coming your way. These have never been released in full, interviews with the likes of Baldwins, Sagrada Familiar, Vince Jones and more. Don’t forget to hit the subscribe button on your chosen podcasting app to be kept up to date with new releases. Also if you love what you hear, head to iTunes and leave me a review! "The Real" is a daytime talkshow similar to the View, but features a cast that is all women of color. Shows like this are powerful in shaping popular culture and the discussions that we have in Society. Even if you don't watch them, you should know that TV talkshows are deconstructing Society and shaping the future of culture. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w_1J0eLOI3o "How," you might ask? Well, take this excerpt from Penn State's archives: As we watch, listen, and are entertained, TV talk shows are rewriting our cultural scripts, altering our perceptions, our social relationships, and our relationships to the natural world. So let me tell you the real: whether you think conversations are too shallow or too deep, if it's on TV it has the power to influence Society. And that's a power to which we should pay attention, because if we harness the power of Social Media we can "rewrite the cultural scripts" on American Racism, "alter the perceptions" held by racists in our Society and change our relationship to those around us. Wouldn't that be something? The question then becomes, how do we of the Talented Tenth position ourselves to shape the conversations that will shape culture. And that's the gist of the conversation on this episode of Blacks with Power. Jessica Johnson is the Social Media Producer for The Real. From that vantage point she is responsible for bringing conversations from Social Media to the show. She shares her perspectives on the Social Media landscape and it's potential for Black empowerment. What do you think? What is the power of social media and how can you make better use of it? Click the banner and tell us the real! Resources Mentioned in this Episode: Leaders of the New School Marcus Garvey and the Universal Negro Improvement Association
This episode, we are speaking with Anais Riley, Marketing and Social Media Producer at Hipster Whale, and a partnered Twitch streamer.
