Hosts: Mark Cardone & Theron Feidt "Learning isn't the problem—using it is." In this episode of the Achieve Results Now podcast, Mark Cardone and Theron Feidt kick off 2026 by tackling the "Seminar Trap." We've all been there: you leave a workshop or finish a book feeling "amped up," but by Tuesday at noon, the excitement has faded and nothing has changed. This episode isn't just about gathering more information; it's about the utilization of knowledge. Mark and Theron break down three specific, high-impact strategies to ensure the things you learn actually move the needle in your life and business. The 3 Key Action Steps for Mastery: 1. The "Can I Use This Tomorrow?" Test Don't let your takeaways evaporate. Use the Total Blurt Rule: immediately write down your biggest takeaways from memory without peaking at your notes. The Application Audit: Ask yourself, "Where can I fit this into my life or work tomorrow?" Immediate Action: Never leave the site of a goal without taking one small action step toward it. 2. Decision Over Notes Mark and Theron warn that "Notes are the cemetery of ideas." To avoid this, high performers collect decisions, not just information. The "Next Time" Trigger: Instead of a vague note, write: "Next time [X] happens, I will do [Y]." * Prioritize the Top 3: Focus on three concrete decisions rather than ten small to-dos. Fewer decisions made better will always move the needle further. 3. The "Combat Lecture" Drill To truly master a concept, you must be able to teach it. The Mirror Test: Stand up and give a two-minute "combat lecture" on what you've learned. Eliminate Filler: Record yourself to identify "ums" and "ahs" that signal a lack of mastery. The Movement Hack: Use your physiology. Moving your body while you speak helps your brain process information faster and makes you a more authoritative communicator. Key Quotes & Takeaways: "Notes are a cemetery for our ideas. High performers collect decisions." The Tuesday by Noon Theory: Most motivation from a weekend seminar dies by Tuesday at noon unless a specific action plan is in place. Mastery through Teaching: Teaching others is the fastest way to solidify your own understanding. Physiology Matters: Your posture and movement dictate your level of influence and mastery over the material. In this episode of The Positive Pause®, Claire Gill sits down with Dr. Soma Mandal, a leading board-certified Internist and midlife women's health expert, to talk about her personal path into women's health, the evolution of menopause care, her podcast “Soma Says”, and her major new role developing a comprehensive Women's Health Center. The conversation highlights advocacy, education, prevention, and the importance of empowering women to put themselves first.Dr. Mandal never planned to specialize in women's health, but her patients naturally gravitated toward her—first younger women facing infertility, then midlife women navigating menopause and aging. Her own health challenges reinforced her passion for this work. Training during the Women's Health Initiative fallout shaped her early medical approach. With hormone therapy suddenly deemed dangerous, an entire generation of clinicians avoided it. Today's improved understanding requires re-educating both clinicians and patientsBeginning in January 2026, she will be joining Hackensack Meridian Health as the Medical Director of Women's Health at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, where she'll be building a comprehensive, multidisciplinary women's health center. The goal is integrated care coordinated across cardiology, endocrinology, gynecology, behavioral health, and primary careKey Points CoveredWhy Advocacy Matters — Even for Doctors - Through her own infertility and medical challenges, Dr. Mandal learned how essential self-advocacy is. She encourages women to speak up, ask questions, and push for what they need—even when clinicians are dismissive or overburdened. The Origin of Her Podcast, Soma Says is a return to her lifelong passion for educating and uplifting women. Guests discuss menopause, Alzheimer's, incontinence, prevention, emotional well-being, and more—reaching listeners worldwide. The Challenge of Navigating a Fragmented Healthcare System - Women often get lost between specialists, especially when dealing with complex diagnoses. A coordinated center reduces confusion, prevents delays in treatment, and eases the burden on women who already juggle caregiving and work responsibilities. The #1 Thing Women Don't Know: Heart Disease Is Their Greatest Risk - Many women still don't realize that heart disease—not breast cancer—is the leading cause of death for women. Dr. Mandal stresses early screening, understanding family history, and taking preventive measures long before symptoms appear. The Power of Education & Community Advocacy - Podcasts, social media, and patient advocacy groups help fill major gaps in clinical education. Giving women accurate information—especially about menopause, heart health, and bone health—empowers them to take control of their wellbeing. Her #1 Action Step for Women: Put yourself first - Whether it's scheduling a physical, taking a walk, asking a partner to cover a chore, or carving out 15 minutes to breathe—women must prioritize their own health. In this episode, we're talking real faith, real stewardship, and real maternal health equity. I sat down with Leah Hairston—Baltimore doula, CEO & Founder of Sweet Bee Services, social worker, maternal health advocate, and daughter of a pastor—to explore what it truly means to care for the temple God has given us by investing in support before, during, and after childbirth. From navigating racial disparities in the medical system to understanding the emotional, mental, and financial toll of an unprepared birth experience, Leah breaks down why doula care isn't a luxury. It's wise stewardship, preventive financial strategy, and spiritual protection for mothers, partners, and families. Through education, emotional attunement, birth preparation, postpartum support, and advocacy, her team at Sweet Bee Services helps families move from fear to confidence—and maintains a 10-year 100% survival rate for high-risk clients. You'll Discover:1. The Financial Return of Doula Care - Preventing unnecessary interventions, avoiding overspending on baby items, reducing readmission, and catching life-threatening conditions early—doulas save families thousands in medical bills, time away from work, and mental health costs.2. Having someone present who can pray with you, hold space for you, ask the right questions, and help you discern medical decisions is an act of glorifying God through stewardship of the body He entrusted you with.3. Preparing the Whole Family—Not Just the Baby - From financial readiness to relationship changes, Leah's team asks the questions most families never think about:How are your family finances? What are your power of attorney plans? Are you prepared emotionally and spiritually for postpartum? Featured Scripture1 Corinthians 6:19–20 — “Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you… You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Worksheet: Hope Building BlueprintWhat do you do when your hope tank is completely empty? When you're going through the motions of recovery but deep down don't believe things will ever really get better? In this powerful episode of The Addicted Mind Plus, hosts Duane Osterlind and Eric Osterlind tackle one of the most critical—and often overlooked—elements of lasting recovery: hope. But this isn't a conversation about wishful thinking or waiting for motivation to magically strike. Instead, they dive into the practical science of hope and show you exactly how to cultivate it, even when you're starting from bare ground. Many people in recovery struggle with a toxic sense of hopelessness—that gray, heavy belief that the future will just repeat the past. It's the voice that whispers, "Lasting recovery is for other people, not me. I'm too broken. I've failed too many times." This feeling drains motivation and makes recovery feel like an exhausting chore rather than an opportunity for a better life. Here's the good news: positive psychology research shows that hope isn't just a feeling you have to wait for. It's actually a trainable cognitive skill you can build, just like going to the gym and strengthening a muscle.Duane and Eric break down Dr. C.R. Snyder's groundbreaking Hope Theory, which identifies two essential components of hope: pathway thinking (the belief that you can find routes to your goals—the "how to" part) and agency thinking (the belief in your own ability to use those paths—the "I can do this" part). When you feel hopeless, it's usually because you've lost one or both of these elements. The episode gets wonderfully practical with two concrete action steps you can start using today:Action Step #1: Set One Hopeful, Achievable Goal - Choose one small, realistic, and measurable goal you can work on this month (or even just today). Not something vague like "be happier" or "fix my life," but something specific like "spend 10 minutes outside three times this week" or "make one phone call to a supportive friend." Writing it down literally creates a pathway forward in your brain.Action Step #2: Visualize Your Success - Take 2-3 minutes to close your eyes and vividly imagine yourself achieving that goal. Don't just see it—feel it. Imagine the pride, relief, and satisfaction of crossing it off your list. This isn't just positive thinking fluff—it's neuroscience. Elite Olympic athletes use this exact technique to improve their performance, and research shows visualization can be as beneficial as additional physical training. The hosts explain that this process directly builds self-efficacy—your belief in your ability to succeed. Hope isn't just believing things can get better; it's taking small steps that create evidence they ARE getting better.Throughout the episode, Duane and Eric's compassionate approach shines through. They acknowledge that both pathway thinking and agency thinking can be incredibly difficult to access in recovery, but they offer genuine encouragement that these skills can be developed over time.To support your journey, they've created a free Hope Building Blueprint worksheet—a simple one-page guide to help you define your hopeful goal, brainstorm the pathway to get there, and list your motivation and visualization strategies. If you're struggling with hopelessness in recovery, this episode offers both the science and the practical tools to start building hope today. You deserve to believe in a better future—and now you have a roadmap to get there.Key Topics• The Neuroscience of Negativity - Why our brains are wired to focus on negative emotions and predictions first• Dr. C.R. Snyder's Hope Theory - The two essential components: pathway thinking and agency thinking• Pathway vs. Agency - Understanding which element of hope you're struggling with most• Small Goals Build Self-Efficacy - How tiny, achievable wins create evidence of progress and fuel motivation• The Power of Visualization - Using Olympic athlete techniques to prime your brain for success• Actionable Hope-Building Steps - Two concrete practices to start cultivating hope today• Free Hope Building Blueprint - Downloadable worksheet to guide your goal-setting and visualization practiceTimestamp List00:00 - Introduction: What is the most powerful fuel for recovery?02:00 - The pain point of hopelessness and why it's toxic to recovery04:00 - Why our brains are wired for negativity and how positive psychology offers a new lens06:00 - Breaking down the two essential parts of hope: pathway thinking and agency thinking09:00 - Action Step #1: Setting one hopeful, achievable goal that's specific and measurable11:00 - Action Step #2: Visualizing your success using neuroscience-backed techniques14:00 - Recap and introduction to the free Hope Building Blueprint worksheetSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Today's question: Whose morality will AI reflect? Are we building machines that reflect God's truth—or man's rebellion? AI isn't neutral. Every line of code carries a worldview.Opening Scripture & FrameProverbs 21 shows us that God weighs the heart. Technology is not morally neutral—it reflects the values of its creators. The question is: whose standard are we using?Main IdeasAI mirrors its makers. Sam Altman and OpenAI may claim neutrality, but the moral framework behind AI comes from fallen humans who reject God's authority. There's no such thing as value-neutral technology.Greg Bahnsen's illustration of the “apple sorting machine” nails it—if you don't already know what a good apple is, you can't build a machine to sort them. Likewise, if you reject the Triune God as the standard of truth, your AI “sorting” will be arbitrary or corrupt.Romans 2 says that the law is written on every heart. That means every coder, CEO, and tech giant has a conscience—they just suppress it. So we can't outsource morality to machines. We must measure every idea against Scripture.Application for MenBrothers, as Christian men, you are the moral leaders in your homes, churches, and communities. You are responsible to discern truth from deception in the digital age. The world wants your sons to trust AI more than Scripture. You must teach them to test everything by God's Word.Action Step #1 – Spiritual FormationBe in the Word daily. Lead family devotions. Discuss technology and discernment with your kids. Don't let Silicon Valley catechize your household—you must. Get your family worship playbook here: https://thethink.institute/store/p/family-worship-playbook-5-day-challenge Action Step #2 – Get EquippedDownload the Spiritual Warfare Guide (linked in the episode notes). Learn how to recognize and resist the world's systems of false worship—including the idol of AI. Get training in apologetics, leadership, and biblical worldview. Join weekly cohort calls, get access to the full course library, and build lifelong brotherhood. Men sharpen men—iron sharpens iron.Visit https://thethink.institute/society to join today. Build your legacy in community.Action Step #4 – Partner with the MissionThe Think Institute is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Every course, podcast, and training exists because of partners like you. Prayerfully consider joining our Ministry Partner Team with a monthly or one-time gift. Your giving fuels men's discipleship and national revival through worldview training. Host worldview roundtables and invite your pastor and friends. Don't just consume—multiply.Closing ChallengeTechnology won't save civilization—truth will. And truth belongs to Jesus Christ. Equip yourself. Guard your family. Lead with conviction. We're not building machines—we're building men who will stand.Because the future doesn't belong to the algorithm. It belongs to the men who know the Word and live by it.

This week's message features three voices from our Echo Church community — Ron Ferguson, Marc Becker, and Bethany Von Steinbergs — each sharing powerful 10-minute messages on courage, calling, and how God works through ordinary people. From Moses, David, and the disciples, we see that God has always chosen imperfect people to accomplish His perfect plans. Each story reminds us that bold faith isn't about having it all together — it's about trusting the One who does. Key Themes: God uses ordinary people to do extraordinary things. Boldness often grows in the middle of insecurity, fear, or failure. God shows up and speaks to us in the everyday, mundane moments of life. Immediate obedience is the mark of true boldness — saying yes before we see the outcome. The real question isn't if God is calling — it's what's preventing you from following? Are you exhausted from trying to “get the balance right” between your work, family, home, and faith? As a Christian working mom, you've probably been told that work-life balance is the key to finally feeling peaceful. But here's the truth: the world's definition of balance isn't even biblical — and chasing it may actually be what's keeping you overwhelmed. In this episode, we're unpacking the question: Is work-life balance biblical? Together, we'll look at what God's Word actually says and discover how to step out of striving and into His peace. I'll walk you through 3 practical, faith-centered steps that will help you: ✅ Redefine balance through Scripture so you can stop feeling like you're failing everywhere ✅ Build rhythms instead of rigid rules, giving your days more grace and flexibility ✅ Guard your peace with boundaries that honor God and protect your time and heart If you've been stretched too thin, battling mom guilt, or feeling like no matter what you do it's never enough, this conversation will encourage your heart and give you biblical strategies to live less frantic and more faithful.   ✨ Action Step for the Week: Ask God to show you one area where you're chasing worldly balance and replace it with His peace. Write it down, pray over it, and take one simple step to guard your peace this week.   And if this episode resonates with you, I'd love to invite you into my Faithfully Balanced course — a 4-week, self-paced journey to help Christian working moms restore balance God's way. Inside, you'll learn how to set God-centered priorities, create rhythms of work and rest, and guard your time with healthy boundaries. It's the step-by-step framework I wish I had years ago, and it will help you experience the peace your soul has been craving.

In this Episode: This episode of the "Achieve Results NOW!" podcast, hosted by Mark Cardone and Theron Feidt, focuses on improving decision-making skills, whether for simple daily choices or complex life-altering ones. They emphasize that procrastination can kill momentum and hinder goals, highlighting the importance of making decisions quickly, even if it means failing faster and learning from the experience. The hosts delve into the concept of risk in decision-making, explaining that while you can manage and mitigate risk, you can never eliminate it. They caution against being too risk-averse, as a lack of growth can lead to stagnation, especially in business. They advocate for calculated risks and view failures as valuable learning opportunities. The podcast outlines three action steps to help listeners overcome decision paralysis and make better choices: Action Step 1: Set a Deadline (or Just Do It Now) The first crucial step is to decide on a timeline for when you will make your decision. For smaller, less impactful decisions, the hosts suggest simply making the choice immediately ("just do it"). For larger decisions, set a short, firm deadline and commit to it, perhaps even by communicating it to someone else. They emphasize that most people, like car buyers, procrastinate until the very last moment, and being honest about this tendency can help you make decisions more promptly. Action Step 2: Blend Intuition with Data This step focuses on combining your gut feelings (intuition) with factual information (data). The hosts explain that intuition can be considered a form of data, often developed through experience, and can be trained like a skill. However, they caution against relying solely on external data sources like the internet, which can provide conflicting information (e.g., "blueberries are healthy" vs. "blueberries are deadly"). Instead, they suggest using data to support and refine your initial gut feeling, rather than using it to determine what you should do from scratch. Action Step 3: Get Over the Fear of Making the Wrong Choice The final step is to conquer the fear of making a mistake. The hosts stress that there's rarely only one "right" answer, and most decisions, unless they involve severe consequences like death or prison, are simply part of your life's journey and learning process. They encourage listeners to embrace imperfect outcomes, learn from any "losses" or less-than-ideal results, and move forward. They differentiate between minor daily decisions (e.g., what to eat) and major life choices (e.g., choosing a spouse, buying a house), acknowledging that the latter warrant more thoughtful consideration and compromise. The podcast concludes by reiterating that every decision is a learning opportunity and encourages listeners to embrace a mindset of learning and growth, even from less-than-perfect outcomes. In this episode of the Private Practice Podcast, I speak directly to a belief that's left so many women therapists feeling burnt out, frustrated, and quietly resentful — the pressure to have a “fully booked diary.” I dive into where this myth came from, why it's still being perpetuated, and what it's really costing you emotionally, energetically, and financially.   If you've ever thought, “Why don't I feel fulfilled even though my diary is full?” — this one is for you. I unpack the silent struggle many therapists face behind the scenes: feeling trapped in a model of business that doesn't energise them. I share real-time insights from conversations with Practice Momentum clients and supervision groups who all (on the same day!) voiced the same thing — the fully booked model just isn't sustainable for everyone.   You'll learn why this outdated narrative persists, what the real markers of success could look like instead, and how to pivot your practice into something that actually works for you — not against you. This episode is for the counsellor, psychologist, social worker, or play therapist who's starting to question what she was taught about success.   You'll walk away with permission to redefine your goals, a quick reframe to reduce burnout, and ideas for how to earn more without relying on back-to-back one-to-one sessions.

404 | Retention vs. Recruitment: The Key to Long-Term Martial Arts School Success

SchoolOwnerTalk.com with Allie Alberigo and Duane Brumitt

Episode Overview Most martial arts school owners focus on bringing in new students, but what if retention is actually more important than recruitment? In this episode, Duane and Allie break down the real cost of losing students, how to calculate the true value of retention, and strategies to build a community that keeps students engaged for years—not just months. If you've ever wondered why your school isn't growing despite consistent new enrollments, this episode is a must-listen! Key Takeaways from This Episode 1. The Real Cost of Acquiring vs. Retaining a Student Recruiting new students requires significant marketing expenses, including Google ads, social media campaigns, and events. Retaining a student is significantly more cost-effective and leads to a stronger school culture. Duane and Allie discuss how to calculate both costs and why understanding this metric is crucial for school owners. 2. Why Retention is the Real Growth Strategy Many school owners believe they only need more students, but their stagnant numbers suggest a deeper retention issue. Retaining students longer means increased participation in events, additional purchases of gear, and a greater sense of community. Understanding why students quit can help school owners create better engagement strategies. 3. Common Reasons Students Quit and How to Prevent It Lack of progression: Students feel stuck and unmotivated. Loss of interest: Classes that are not engaging or structured properly lead to dropouts. Negative experiences: A poor interaction with an instructor or fellow student can drive students away. Parents' perceptions: If parents do not see the value in martial arts training, they are less likely to continue paying for it. Life changes: Scheduling conflicts, financial difficulties, or changing interests. 4. Building a Strong Martial Arts Community The importance of student identity and belonging within a school. The role of upgrades (e.g., Black Belt Club, leadership programs) in creating deeper engagement. How fostering peer relationships can significantly impact long-term retention. 5. Practical Retention Strategies Every School Owner Should Implement Setting clear goal structures, such as belt progression and skill achievements. Implementing student recognition programs, such as perfect attendance awards or leadership roles. Engaging with parents to reinforce the value of training. Hosting regular events and community-building activities. Final Thoughts Retention is the foundation of a long-term successful martial arts school. While marketing and recruitment are necessary, school owners must prioritize keeping students engaged and committed to their training. Action Step for School Owners Pick one retention strategy from today's episode and implement it in your school this week. Whether it's engaging more with parents, tracking student progress more closely, or adding an upgrade program, small changes can lead to big results.

Episode Summary: In this episode, we explore the powerful connection between decluttering your space and achieving weight loss success. Our environment shapes our mindset, habits, and overall well-being. By organizing our physical surroundings, we create space for better decisions, healthier choices, and a calmer mind. Tune in to discover how a clutter-free home can support your weight loss journey. Listener Question: “I am working on decluttering my home, changing my relationship to home and possessions. Any advice or guidance in that area would be great!” Key Topics Covered: How your external environment impacts your internal state. The psychological effects of clutter: stress, overwhelm, and decision fatigue. The identity shift: Becoming a person who takes care of their space and themselves. The financial aspect: Clutter represents money you once had—rethinking purchases. Practical strategies to start decluttering and regain control. Practical Approaches to Decluttering: Stop Spending on Non-Essentials Implement a budget and a 24-hour hold rule before making purchases. Reflect on past purchases: Did they bring lasting joy or just add to clutter? Consider: Would I rather have this item or the money in savings? Ditch and Donate Like It's Your Job Declutter small spaces daily (drawer, shelf, cabinet) to avoid overwhelm. Use the 20-item rule: Find and remove 20 items per day (expired food, unworn clothes, broken items, etc.). Give items to friends, donate to charity, or sell locally for extra cash. Why This Matters for Weight Loss: Decluttering fosters a sense of control and reduces stress-related eating. A tidy kitchen encourages healthier eating and meal prep. Removing distractions makes it easier to focus on self-care and movement. Action Step for Listeners: Pick one small area to declutter today and reflect on how it makes you feel.
