Timestamps & Summary Dr. Greg Eckerley (01:59)Looking at muscle development, what roles do we see coenzymes play in upregulating energy to help with growth?Dr. Bradley Johnson[…] [the] energy needs for both postnatal muscle growth as well as the functionality of skeletal muscle that being contraction, we need a lot of ATP. And of course, we know that the coenzymes are going to assist with this. All the way from the shortest burst of energy that we're going to get to produce ATP and muscle is the ATP-PC system, which is the phosphocreatine system, which within seconds can produce ATP. […]From thiamine to niacin to riboflavin, pyridoxine, biotin, cyanocobalamin, pyridoxine, and pantothenic acid, all these are coenzymes. Very important for energy metabolism for every cell. But it becomes very critical for postnatal muscle growth because protein synthesis is so demanding that we have ATP. Dr. Greg Eckerley (06:37)Can we hypothesize and think that genetic development and advancement have placed a higher demand for certain nutrients that were historically not apt to look at?Dr. Bradley Johnson[…] Our thought early on was: if we have aggressively implanted cattle then they must have higher nutrient needs. Certain nutrients like crude protein or specific amino acids or even calories, do they need more energy. And in reality, those growth-enhancing tools did not change the needs for some of these. They made them more efficient. And so today, our cattle genetically and the way we feed them, nutritional management, we have some of the best feed conversions we've ever had in our beef cattle industry worldwide because of our advancements in genetics, feeding strategies, and total nutrient requirements. […] Dr. Greg Eckerley (16:24)Can we utilize certain vitamins like biotin […] in certain feeding period roles to maximize this potential, to alter program metabolism for these animals as they go through the feeding period?Dr. Bradley JohnsonI tell you what, biotin is so intriguing to me. I think there's a lot of anecdotal work out there and I think it started in Australia, but a lot of people on the Wagyu cattle, the heavy marbled side, felt they could increase marbling by feeding elevated biotin to ruminants. […]If we feed a high grain diet to finishing cattle, the one B vitamin that's probably going to be compromised the most in the rumen is biotin. […] Dr. Greg Eckerley (25:55)So, in conclusion, would you mind sharing three of your main take-home messages that we talked about today with the audience?Dr. Bradley JohnsonFirst off, I think we often forget the energetic cost, not really cost, but protein synthesis is not a spontaneous event. And we think of muscle as the main protein reservoir in the carcass, obviously. And that comes at a cost. It takes a lot of ATPs […]The other big take-home that I think the one molecule that I'm the most excited about of having direct effects both on muscle growth and marbling is biotin and knowing that biotin affects enzymes similarly to a beta-agonist, I think there are opportunities to enhance muscle growth. […]The final take home is our US. Food and Drug Administration, I think, is going to continue to offer regulatory oversight […] on some of these medicated feed additives, over-the-counter antibiotics, normal growth promoting techniques like implants and beta-agonists that we've become used to using. And, obviously, the more natural alternatives that we can seek and find and utilize in our industry, I think the better off we're going to be in the long run.

Ishmael S. Carter, 32, was found guilty in January of first-degree arson and five counts of attempted murder. Jurors deliberated more than four hours following the three-day trial. While many other types of nursing home violations trigger federal fines that can lead to penalties of up to $10,000, resident abuse violations often are subject to a state fine of $500. In some cases, the facilities haven't appealed the $500 penalties, so they were automatically reduced to $325. Since Jan. 1, at least eight Iowa nursing homes have been cited for violations related to resident abuse.A single-vehicle motorcycle crash in Buchanan County killed a man who was driving and injured a female passenger Saturday evening, according to an Iowa State Patrol crash report. The North Liberty City Council at its meeting this week didn't take a formal vote but did give city staff the green light to begin drafting an ordinance and offer a recommendation to the council. A state law passed last year allows registered all-terrain vehicles and UTVs to be operated in all 99 counties as along as the rider follows the various rules outlined in the law. The legislation allows cities to regulate operation of these vehicles within their city limits. Last year, Marion voted to allow UTVs on city streets.–

A bootroom special with former Cobblers midfielder Ryan Gilligan who performed ably for Northampton Town over a 7 year period, playing under nearly as many managers.Ryan talks about joining up with family friend Colin Calderwood at Cobblers, learning from such quality players as Sean Dyche and Ian Taylor. Gilligan came into his own in a decent Stuart Gray side alongside such talent as Mark Bunn, Bradley Johnson and Adebayo Akinfenwa and Ryan talks about the tough training that gave Gray's side a physical edge to match the good play. That night at Anfield is a number 1 moment for plenty of people associated with the Cobblers and Gilligan is no different. He talks about playing with Ian Sampson and the work that went into turning Liverpool over on their own turf.Things weren't always plain sailing however and he talks frankly about moments of tension with Gary Johnson as well as his decision to move to Sweden, one that ultimately paid off by linking up with Graham Potter (now Brighton boss) at emerging Swedish side Östersunds FK.This is a story of pride and growth in conversation with an intelligent guy who reveals a surprise secret about his new job out of football. Cobblers haven't had many players from Scandinavia but Poul Hubertz made a big impact in a short time at the club in the late 2000's.6ft 5" forward Hubertz was a key member of Stuart Gray's side which finished a decent 9th in League 1, playing alongside such talent as Adebayo Akinfenwa, Mark Bunn, Andy Holt, Jason Crowe, Gabor Gyepes and Bradley Johnson. The Dane discusses his formative years in Denmark, playing in the Danish Superliga before moving to Millwall and becoming a popular player at the Den with whole hearted displays. Hubertz talks frankly about the pain of being released by the Lions and the joy of being a part of one of Northampton's most talented ever teams under Gray where Cobblers thrashed Swansea 4-2 and went to to toe with big clubs like Nottingham Forest.Hubertz talks us through his best goal from the club- an overhead kick V Forest at Sixfields which is still remembered by Town fans now. We'll hear that Hubertz never wanted to leave the Cobblers, the reason why he did and talk about the characteristics which make him a cult player at Northampton Town. Tough Talk With Tony Gambone with his guest Bradley Johnson & Terry Christian: Bradley Johnson - Our client is book author, Christian music recording artist, business owner, and bible teacher. Bradley "BJ Ministries" Johnson is a true believer in the power of Christ to heal every place that life has broken. He and his wife teach this principle weekly at their church Transformation Temple International; a non-denominational progressive church where you will find everyone in T-Shirts and jeans worshipping God both in their seats and on their face. Bradley is an accomplished singer/songwriter who released a national EP entitled Never Give Up under his stage name BJ Ministries in December to critical acclaim because of the self titled first single and video. Terry Christian - He talks about getting injured, being unable to walk for 18 months, requiring back surgery. Then came bladder cancer and his doctors said his cancer was the worst they've seen and would kill him within 5 years. Terry believed, in God's healing power of prayer and fasting. Two years later his doctors pronounced him cancer free and released him. He also tells the story behind his book ‘What Did Jesus Say'. The day he began the final editing his father had a heart attack and died. His mother died soon after. It would be 10 years before his book was finally in print as he experienced these Job-like difficulties
The 16-year-old from Liverpool told the panel how his parents split while he was growing up and how he became ‘confused’, becoming involved with ‘scallies and thugs’. Johnson went on to blow the judges away with his audition, a cover of Ed Sheeran’s The A Team. He said: ‘When I was 12 years old I started getting involved with scallies and thugs and that’s when I started getting in to trouble at school. ‘I’ve been expelled from three schools. When I was 13, I got kicked out of my first school, when I was 14 I got kicked out of my second school. ‘My mum and dad split up, I was confused. I was drinking on the streets, getting arrested by the police and it progressed from there.’
