Endlich ist mal wieder richtig Winter. "Mir blutet das Herz, wenn ich das sehe." Als Altenbergs Bürgermeister Thomas Kirsten (Freie Wähler) im WM-Podcast Dreierbob von Sächsische.de diesen Satz sagt, geht es nicht um die Titelrennen im Eiskanal im Kohlgrund. Es geht um Corona und die Massen an Schnee, die in normalen Zeiten wahrscheinlich täglich für dichtes Gedränge am Skilift der Stadt im Osterzgebirge sorgen würden. Die Lage der Hotel- und Gastbetriebe in dem Wintersportort treibt ihn um. "Wir haben hier sonst 500.000 Übernachtungen pro Jahr und noch mal mindestens genauso viele Tagestouristen", sagt Kirsten. Derzeit dürfen aufgrund der Mobilitätsbeschränkung in Sachsen nur Menschen den Ort besuchen, die nicht weiter als 15 Kilometer entfernt leben. "Ich bin mir sicher, es hätte da geschicktere Lösungen gegeben", meint der Bürgermeister. "Die Ministerin hat im Dezember aber pauschal die Wintersportsaison für beendet erklärt", fügt er hinzu und meint mit "die Ministerin" Barbara Klepsch (CDU), die in der Landesregierung das Ministerium für Kultur und Tourismus führt. Kirsten verweist auf ein Konzept, das beispielsweise für den Skilift des Ortes entwickelt wurde. "Man könnte mit einem Termin-System regulieren, dass nicht zu viele Wintersportler auf einmal kommen. Vielleicht alle zwei Stunden 150 Personen, die noch dazu einen negativen Test vorweisen müssen." Außerdem sei der Altenberger kein Kabinenlift, "sondern einer zum Dranhängen". Man komme sich nicht zu nahe, so Kirsten. Um das Kleinreden der Gefahren des Virus geht es Kirsten, der schon 30 Jahre Bürgermeister ist, jedoch keinesfalls. "Das ist wirklich manchmal auch Jammern auf hohem Niveau", stellt er klar. Der beständige Winter sei diesmal nur außerordentlich schön, die Lage für Betriebe in seiner Stadt deshalb umso bedauerlicher. "Wir können aber alle miteinander froh sein, wenn wir gesund durch diese Krise kommen. Denn es wird auch eine Zeit nach Corona geben." Und für genau diese Zeit würden Veranstaltungen wie die Bob- und Skeleton-WM, die in diesen Tagen aufgrund der Pandemie erneut in Altenberg stattfindet, helfen. "Mir tut es für Lake Placid unheimlich leid", sagt Kirsten. Normalerweise wäre die WM dieses Jahr dort gewesen. Weil aber im Spätsommer 2020 die Corona-Entwicklung sowie die damit verbundenen Einreisebestimmungen in den USA unklar waren, fragte der Weltverband IBSF in Altenberg an. "Nun haben wir wie vergangenes Jahr hier wieder eine WM. Zwar ohne Zuschauer, dafür aber mit Fernsehbildern aus unserem nun auch noch verschneiten Wintersportort", sagt Kirsten. Bis zu 80 Millionen Menschen würden diese Bilder bei den TV-Übertragungen erreichen. "Bessere Werbung gibt es nicht", stellt er fest. Das müssten auch jene verstehen, die Leistungssportveranstaltungen in der Corona-Pandemie kritisierten. Außerdem spricht Kirsten in dem Podcast über die Geschichte der Bobbahn in Altenberg und wie 1991 die erste Bob-WM in die Stadt kam. Thematisiert wird in dem Gespräch im Dreierbob auch, welchen Stellenwert insbesondere der Nachwuchssport und die damit verbundenen Millionen-Investitionen in Leistungszentren haben. Und natürlich geht es um den Rekordweltmeister Francesco Friedrich, der, wie Kirsten es sagt, "mit seinen Leistungen das zurück zahle", wofür man das alles mache. http://www.DrAnh.com/survey Dr. Terry Wahls is a clinical professor of medicine at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine, a published clinical researcher, physician at the Iowa City VA Hospital, who was diagnosed with relapsing remitting multiple sclerosis in 2000. She underwent chemotherapy to try to slow the disease progression and began using a tilt-recline wheelchair because of the weakness in her back and realized that she would eventually become bedridden due to her disease. As a result, she set out to go to the medical literature and find a way to prevent herself from becoming bedridden. She discovered functional medicine in the summer of 2007, created and started the Wahls Protocol in December 2007, and those dietary and lifestyle changes took her from being wheelchair-bound to completing an 18-mile bike tour within one year.
