On this week's episode of "The Diet Obsessed Podcast" in my regular segments, I talk about my positive mental health this week, my incredibly delicious Easter Brunch and how Rebel Wilson thinks Adele is Fat-Phobic.For my podcast review, I cover a couple Diet Starts Tomorrow episodes where hosts Lauren and Emily give their feedback on the Oprah Weight Loss Drug Special, which is primarily negative. They have strong opinions based on their own diet-culture filled childhood and the trauma they experienced growing up.I give my strong opinions on their feedback, as I grew up differently and have my own unique ways of looking at the world. Welcome back to 50Talk. This is Episode 103 and the hosts of the show are glad you all have decided to join us again this week. We also hope you all had a great Easter Sunday and enjoyed the time with family and friends or however you choose to recognize the day. Cathy and I start the show of talking about our ever changing holiday experiences with our kids getting older. This Easter for most of the day it was just Cathy and I and our son Max and his girlfriend. Our oldest decided to stay at his house and celebrate with his little family and Griffin decided to stay in Columbus. We did pretty good considering all these changes. Our cousin Kyla posted on Facebook what everyone's dinner menu was. We tell ours but we want to know what you guys did. Did you have a traditional dinner or just a regular Sunday dinner? Did you go out and have an Easter Brunch or just go out to eat at a nice restaurant? Let us know what you did, hit me at our email victor50talk@gmail.comThe music world was all a buzz on friday with the release of Cowboy Carter. Beyonce's new album whis is supposedly a "Country Album. Cathy and I give our opinions on the album and some of our favorite songs. Their are 27 songs but only about an hour and a half long. What really makes an album a country album? Is it talking about your truck, your booze or a horrible break-up? Who is "allowed" to put out a country album? Are only certain people allowed too?Next we talk about the horrible boating accident that happened last week in Baltimore, Maryland. An entire bridge was destroyed and a community was handcuffed by the accident and the only thing some Republican politicians could say is "this is what happens with DEI, when illegal immigrant's get into this country. Yeah, I know it sounds stupid but this is where our country is these days. They are calling the African American Mayor of Baltimore the DEI Mayor. I'm not kidding!March Madness is still going on and last week at the girls tournament the Utah girls program had an incident where race played a part in a city and state that has a long history of racism. Also a State political figure in Michigan decided to post a picture on X saying illegal immigrants are invading the area. Turns out those busses were filled with basketball players. People tried to correct him but he doubled down on his racist comments. We want to do a round table discussion on Black Athletes and March Madness and the Impact they could have on DEI. We are planning to do this on Wednesday at 7:00pm est. We will stream it live on Facebook and also record on Zoom. Please come and join in on the discussion. I will post on our 50Talk Facebook page on Tuesday sometime. Last topic for the week is a talk on the documentary Quiet on the Set: The Darkside of Kids TV. This is on MAX and there are four episodes about an hour each and they are chilling. The stuff that went on is just terrible and knowing that our kids watched these shows makes it even more chilling. Thank you for joining us again this week and we will see you all for Episode 104 next week. Have a great week.

Since early February, the Reno Gastro Project, whose stated mission “is to support the local economy while feeding community members facing hunger”, has been purchasing restaurant meals at full price for those most in need. In nearly three months, they have already raised about $16,000 dollars. Susan Abele, the Partners for Fish and Wildlife Nevada State Coordinator for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, along with three of her co-workers, had this vision in helping our neighbors in need. On a recent morning, she sat down with Our Town Reno reporter Richard Bednarski at the local restaurant, Lili’s Restaurant and Bar, over a cup of coffee. “We’ve been raising money to buy meals from local restaurants at full price and provide the people in need,” said Abele as the chatter from early morning diners and wait staff filled the air. She moved here in 2004 from Idaho and was recently inspired by a friend’s Facebook post about a similar project happening in Spokane, WA. Abele wanted to not only bring food to people who need it but also support the local restaurant scene as well. The initial campaign is focused on providing meals for the Eddy House, which helps youth without stable shelter. “Our goal is to provide two weeks of meals to the at-risk youth that they serve,” said Abele, as the waitress brought us each a cup of coffee. Officially launched on February third, the Reno Gastro Project is a licensed non-profit with the State of Nevada. They have also applied for 501(c) 3 status with the U.S. government and their application is pending. Once this happens, all donations will be tax-deductible. “We’ve supported over 20 local restaurants already,” explained Abele “and our goal is to support each one at a $1,000 a restaurant.” To date, the Reno Gastro Project has supported over 20 local restaurants. This includes Cherry Bomb Catering, who squeezed them in during a busy sold-out Easter Sunday in order to provide an Easter Brunch for the women at Casa de Vida. Other big players have been Two Chicks and Ijji Noodle House. More on this ingenious program in this episode, as part of a series here about Heroes of Reno.

The Too Posh Girls are sad to announce that they got stood up for the first time since they started their podcast by one of their models Lynnae. Instead of getting to interview Lynnae and her life story we talked about our Easter weekend. We went to Easter in the Park with www.fellowshipchurch.com after we enjoyed the amazing sushi at www.densetsu.com. We also spent some time at www.mexicansugar.com at Shops of Legacy East and enjoyed their jalapeno margaritas. On Easter Sunday we enjoyed our traditional Easter Brunch at the amazing www.fogodechao.com. Then we discuss some hot topics especially the breakup of Jenna Dewan and Tatum Channing. This sparks a discussion about if it is possible to split up and stay friends after the break up. Marcella gets very passionate about an ex boyfriend that is loved by our family, but has chosen to not stay in touch and stay friendly with the family. Our conversation comes back around to us being stood up, and the consequences for our model. We talk about pathological lying and that because of Lynnae’s consistent lies and having been given numerous chances, that this time she would no longer be able to be part of our company and would not be able to participate in our upcoming fashion shows that she was already booked for. We then talk a little bit about Gabrielle’s ex husband that also was a pathological liar and we talk about the book The people of the lie which everyone should read. We end the show discussing that Lynnae has only been the second model that we sadly had to let go, because of ongoing issues. We discuss the first model that we had to fire, because she spread rumors about Gabrielle being a madam and pimping out her girls and asking photographers to take nude pictures of them, when nothing could be further from the truth. Lesson of this show – Do not lie, honor your commitments and try to be friendly after a break up.
"This is your hour--when darkness reigns," Jesus said to the religious officials when they came to arrest him. All around us darkness reigns; we've lived through darkness in our world, our nation, our neighborhoods, and our families. But if Christ rose from the dead, then darkness is merely a chapter--and not the end--of the story!

Take some time to revel in the heresy as Rissy and Jeff reconvene after too much time off to discuss amazing trends from days of yore, their shared hatred of "Momtrepenuer Consultants", and the hottest trailers for upcoming flicks. Also there is a rather in-depth discussion *shocker* of Detectives Comics Comics and how that cinematic universe actually has a ton of potential for great movies. News coming from Blythe involves a new Doctor and Halo 5, while Amanda feverishly pens a last minute letter from the pooper at an Easter Brunch.

Nice light salmon color, typical of Bandol. The wine expresses some citrus, Pomelos (a delicious type of grapefruit) and lots of white fruit aromas and minerality.
