His father took a job in Phoenix the summer of his 5th birthday, where he would grow up and graduate from high school in Mesa, Arizona many years later with his four siblings. As a typical middle child, Evan has always enjoyed being the peacemaker, making new friends, and serving others. This love to serve eventually led him to serve a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Buenos Aires, North MIssion in Argentina as a twenty-year old, and within the year of returning from his mission, he met his wife on a blind date as a freshman in college and was married and sealed in the Mesa, Arizona Temple. The Lord knew early on Evan's love and gift to relate and bless the youth by having him called within the first 8 months of marriage to the bishopric to serve and support the youth in his family ward that led to serving in 2 other bishoprics back-to-back over the next 12 years. Later, he was called to serve on the High Council and then as a bishop. Currently, and back on the High Council over Family History for the youth, Evan serves as the 1st Councilor in the Stake Young Men's Presidency in the Tempe Stake in Arizona. Evan has 4 children, a 19 year old daughter currently serving a mission in Baltimore, Maryland, and 3 sons, 16, 12, and 8 and still resides in Tempe, Arizona just blocks away from Arizona State University where he works in real estate and just completed a Masters degree in Real Estate Development.

Os benefícios de inserir atividades musicais em meio ao ensino tradicional são vários e nessa brincadeira de cantar, falar, tocar um instrumento disponível, criado (como aquelas loucas baterias formadas com tampa de panela, talheres e potes de plástico) ou imaginário, reside uma relação importante no desenvolvimento da fala, atividades motoras, sociais e também com o pensamento reflexivo e criativo. Além dos efeitos sobre a personalidade e autoconfiança da criança, aulas de educação musical também assumem um papel importante no desenvolvimento dos pequenos. Atividades que envolvem a música estimulam áreas do cérebro não desenvolvidas por outras linguagens, como a escrita e a oral. Mas, independentemente de se aprender ou não um instrumento, a apreciação musical em qualquer idade, que se refere a audição e interação com músicas diversas, ou situações que integram música, canto, dança e movimentos, já podem proporcionar benefícios diversos, como o desenvolvimento de habilidades interpessoais, concentração, imaginação, memória, atenção, consciência corporal e de movimentação. No final, a diversidade musical faz parte da cultura de um país e as artes em geral têm um papel fundamental na construção de uma sociedade mais plural. Como disse Llosa em um artigo sobre o papel do romance no mundo moderno, "falar bem, dispor de uma linguagem rica e variada, encontrar a expressão adequada para cada ideia ou emoção que se queira comunicar, significa estar mais preparado para pensar, ensinar, aprender, dialogar e, também, para fantasiar, sonhar, sentir e emocionar-se". Earlier today I was thinking about how strange it is that many of us refer to soundcasts as "shows"…because, aside from those with a visual component such as video or something like it…mostly soundcasts are…well, SOUND…You can't really see sound…just that which it effects. So podcasts, like radio shows before them, would more accurately be referred to as "tells"…but it's silly to think about re-naming everything simply because of logic. I mean, I'd have to re-brand my other soundcast "Anti Social Show" to "Anti Social Tell"…and that's just weird…the acronym sucks too…it's "AST"…I don't think that's a thing. I Googled it and it's not a word…it's not an English word at any rate. Let's see. If I put it through Google Translate, I see it means "branch" in…German. So, mystery solved. The One in Twenty Show An interview-based podcast hosted by Evan Rogers, The One in Twenty Show is rooted in finding the next one in twenty individuals who are pursuing their passions with success. Our clip is from Epi38 from this past May, and features guest Jen Matichuk, a multi-faceted creator from Canada — most known for her work with Rhett and Link as a brand coordinator and producer on Good Mythical Morning. Thick Skin with Jeff Ross"Life is hard. Let's get through it together." Join Jeff Ross, The Roastmaster General, as he takes on "Touchy Subjects", interviews people smarter than him and pays tribute to the recently deceased, so they can properly Roast In Peace. The clip we're featuring was from a show just a couple of weeks ago, entitled "Why I Roasted Anne Frank" on what would have been her 90th Birthday. And there's another "tell over and done with." No, that doesn't sound good at all…I don't think it will catch on any time soon. You know what could though? This soundcast. How?…I haven't worked that part out much beyond a semi-aggressive word-of-mouth campaign…For example, I have a show on my YouTube channel called Tyson Saner: Gamer where I play video games and give commentary of my experiences. Episode 3 was a very open and honest interview with a very good friend of mine, Evan Rogers. He spoke from the heart and soul about his stint in rehab, what led him there, and where he is now with his sobriety. We spoke a lot about the midterm elections, but technical issues forced me to cut that part out. Whomp. Whomp. Whomp. I also had to edit out a story he told about me that was so vile I was too embarrassed to put it out into the world. This interview really gets to the heart of LGBT equality, differences in staunch republicans and democrats, and the ability to recognize when you need help. I cannot thank Evan enough for his willingness to share his story and thoughts with all of you beautiful humans. Evan Rogers is an aspiring storyteller who grew up in San Jose. Imaginative from a young age, Evan wanted to figure out a way to bring the same joy he experienced from immersing himself in stories to other people. After finding no sustainable work in the Bay Area’s film industry, Evan decided to pull up stakes and move to Los Angeles. Once he arrived in L.A., Evan would discover just how difficult breaking into the industry really is. Sexually abused as a child by his pastor's son, Evan Rogers was filled with anger and hatred towards God, church, and life in general. After seeing God transform his mom and sister he eventually opened his heart for God to transform his life as well.
