In today's Daily Fix:In IGN exclusive report, Xbox CEO Phil Spencer has announced his retirement from Xbox after 38 years with parent company Microsoft. Xbox President Sarah Bond is also resigning. Asha Sharma, currently President of Microsoft's CoreAI product, will be the new CEO of Microsoft Gaming. Xbox Game Studios head Matt Booty will be promoted to Chief Content Officer and will work closely with Sharma. In other news, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot has confirmed two new Far Cry projects are in development, and has assured Splinter Cell fans the remake is still happening, despite futher layoffs at Splinter Cell dev Ubisoft Toronto. And finally, Nintendo is dropping Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen onto Switch as separate $20 games. This has confused—and angered—some fans who wonder why the titles weren't added to the Game Boy Advance player as part of Nintendo Switch Online.

A side-scrolling action game on the Game Boy Advance where Reed Richards appears to have been replaced by his less scientifically-inclined brother in law (close enough, give me this one) and the Thing is made entirely of texture-mapping nightmares.” Congratulations, you've just invented Fantastic Four Flame On! It's a game that managed to take four of Marvel's most iconic heroes and somehow make them feel more constipated than a chemistry lecture taught underwater. Joining us this week is the absolutely phenomenal Scott Niswander from NerdSync (the man who can explain the entire Marvel mythos while simultaneously making you question why the Human Torch doesn't just solve every problem by setting it on fire) and It's (Probably) Not Aliens (where not even Sue Storm's force fields could save Ancient Aliens from the debunking). Together we'll navigate a game so baffling in its design choices that you'll start wondering if the developers were actually aliens trying to understand human entertainment and coming up just slightly short of the mark. Will our heroes discover that the Game Boy Advance's technical limitations somehow made this game better than it had any right to be? A fear meter and the ability to summon actual bats to terrify thugs into submission!” Released across more platforms than Batman has traumatic childhood memories, this movie tie-in somehow managed to land on PS2, Xbox, GameCube, and Game Boy Advance without completely embarrassing itself in the process. While most movie games crash and burn faster than if I tried to drive the Batmobile, this stealth-action adventure actually tried to do something interesting with its “High Frequency Transponder” gadget and environmental intimidation mechanics that made enemies drop their weapons in sheer terror. Joining us for this digital descent into Gotham's criminal underworld is the incredibly talented Wells Thompson, creative mastermind behind indie comic sensations and the brilliant mind that helped bring us The Scorpion and the Queen (among a bunch of other Kickstarter projects) and the force over at WellsThompson.com. Wells brings his unique perspective on comic storytelling and adaptations to help us figure out whether this game captured the essence of both the Dark Knight's origin story and Nolan's cinematic vision, or if it belongs in Arkham Asylum alongside the rest of the movie tie-in disasters.
