It's Casual Friday! Sam and Emma host Alex Pareene, Contributing Editor at the New Republic and proprietor of the AP newsletter on Substack, to round up the week in news. First, Emma dives into updates on the US job growth, the White House's debt limit concessions, Clarence Thomas' corruption, the continuing banking crisis, Dianne Feinstein's absence, fascist legislation in Florida and Indiana, and Donald Trump's rape case, also diving into the recent revelations about the Federalist Society's backdoor funding of Ginni Thomas. Alex Pareene then joins as he and Emma dive into Clarence Thomas' endless stream of corruption allegations, whether anything will actually be done about it, and how liberal institutions affirm the Court's corruption. They also touch on the disappearance of Dianne Feinstein, the holdup it has created in the judicial confirmation process, and what (if anything) Democrats will do about it, before parsing through Biden's role in the matter, where his 2024 candidacy stands, and his likely matchup with Trump. After tackling the impotence of the “Republican in Blue clothing” tactic of Manchin and Sinema, they wrap up the interview with the devastating story of the killing of Jordan Neely, and the horrors of uplifting right-wing violence fantasies. And in the Fun Half: Emma parses through Steven Crowder's 2015 Op-Ed, “I'm a Guy and I'll Never Badmouth my WIfe,” Caleb from Canton discusses the absurdity of the billionaire genre of Nazi obsession, and Matt dives into the greatness of Chris James. Emma hosts Kate Aronoff, climate reporter for The New Republic, to discuss her recent pieces regarding environmental social and corporate governing, or ESG. Then, she's joined by Trita Parsi, Executive Vice President at the Quincy Institute, to discuss his recent piece in Foreign Affairs entitled "How China Became a Peacemaker in the Middle East", co-authored with Khalid Eljabri. First, Emma runs through updates on the abortion pill ban, the bailout of Credit Suisse, the rising probability of a recession, smog regulations, a potential freight rail merger, and statistics on COVID's impact on pregnancy deaths, before parsing through Ro Khanna's relationship to Silicon Valley and squaring his progressive positioning with his David Sacks fundraising. Kate Aronoff dives right into the recent GOP push (passing through both the House and Senate) against “Woke” Environmental and Social Governance (ESG) policies, watching Kevin McCarthy attempt to paint these programs as authoritarian mandates forcing retirement funds to invest in a left-wing agenda. Next, Aronoff walks Emma through the relationship of this Right-Wing project to their greater agenda of dismantling the administrative state, before they step back to tackle the actual relationship between ESG and major corporations, like BlackRock and Vanguard, looking at how these policies provide a path for rehabilitation of public opinion alongside copious tax breaks, while executives lobby behind the scenes to ensure that the policy never evolves to actual corporate regulation. Wrapping up, Emma and Kate explore the impact of Biden's Inflation Reduction Act, and the future of environmental incentivization and regulation. Trita Parsi then jumps into the revelatory role of China in brokering a normalization agreement between Saudi Arabia and Iran, completely changing their previous stance on foreign policy, and showing that they must be taken seriously on the international stage when it comes to diplomacy. Next, they tackle the particular failure of the US' multi-decade disaster in the Middle East, setting ourselves up as an inflammatory and biased outside actor that bends over backward for our allies, before they wrap up the interview with an assessment of the US elite's China hawkery and the role it continues to play in the US' refusal to promote Middle Eastern autonomy. And in the Fun Half: Emma is joined by Brandon Sutton and Matt Binder as they tackle the revelations of Ron DeSantis' various policies, from utensils to Ukraine, talk with Adam from Manhattan about the corruption behind our current financial moment, and Matt Lech goes all out on the conservative exploitation of hunger and poverty. Expanding on this, the crew tackles Minnesota State Sen. Steve Brazkowski's denouncement of a school hunger program, and Jason from Minnesota calls in to give his take on the issue. First, Emma runs through updates on the 1st anniversary of Russia's war of aggression in Ukraine, the US' Ukraine policy, the Ohio EPA's failure in relying on Norfolk Southern to do their own testing, environmental emergencies across the US, Tennessee's transphobic legislation, Florida's walkouts against DeSantis, and Minnesota removing drivers license requirements for housing, before diving deeper into Sean Hannity's hard-hitting questions on whether any GOP primary opponent has a different platform than Trump. Alex Pareene then joins as he walks through the holes in the GOP's response to the genuine failures of Biden's administration in East Palestine, as they focus on deregulation (literally the centerpiece of GOP politics for a century) and culture war issues that never stick to Biden, before parsing through Pete Buttigieg's incredibly weak response to his inaction over these last few weeks. They also tackle Ron DeSantis' weak positioning ahead of the 2024 primaries, and assess the roles of Donald Trump and George Santos in shifting the Overton window for compulsive liars in politics. Olayemi Olurin then walks through her recent piece in Teen Vogue assessing the systemic racism ingrained in the US police state which led to the murder of Tyre Nichols, what we can learn from the Police and Media's emphasis on the Black identity of (some of) the police officers, and the indoctrinatory impact of top-down institutional biases. Wrapping up, Olayemi and Emma discuss the widespread emergence of anti-trans and anti-drag legislation, the normalization of the harassment and marginalization of LGBTQ+ folks, and what the hell the legal world is making of these obvious abuses of the judicial system. And in the Fun Half: Emma discusses the UK Labor Party's internal corruption and complete abandonment of actual labor support, and Malcolm X's family launching a lawsuit against the FBI, CIA, and NYPD. Emma and Matt Lech also assess the LaRouche-Dore-Hinkle homophobic pro-Russia rally and the anti-left and anti-labor backing of this movement, plus, your IMs!   Check out Alex's new work at Popula here: https://popula.com/author/alex-pareene/ Check out the Politics of Everything podcast here: https://newrepublic.com/podcasts Check out all of Olayemi's work here: https://www.olayemiolurin.com/ Become a member at JoinTheMajorityReport.com: https://fans.fm/majority/join Subscribe to the ESVN YouTube channel here: https://www.youtube.com/esvnshow Subscribe to the AMQuickie newsletter here: https://am-quickie.ghost.io/ Join the Majority Report Discord! http://majoritydiscord.com/ Get all your MR merch at our store: https://shop.majorityreportradio.com/ Get the free Majority Report App!: http://majority.fm/app Check out today's sponsors: Sunset Lake CBD: sunsetlakecbd is a majority employee owned farm in Vermont, producing 100% pesticide free CBD products. It's Casual Friday! Sam and Emma host David Dayen, executive editor at the American Prospect to round up the week in news. Then, they're joined by David Feldman of The David Feldman Show! First, Emma and Sam run through updates on the charging of five Memphis cops over the brutal murder of Tyre Nichols, the right bickering over the next RNC Chair, Adam Schiff entering the race for Feinstein's seat, and DeSantis bumping 1 million Floridians off of Medicaid, before watching Tyre Nichols' mother, RowVaugn Wells, reflect on the legacy of her son. Then, David Dayen joins as he dives right into the arrival of Jeffrey Zients as Biden's new Chief of Staff, parsing through his record as an “efficiency expert” and cost cutter, and his background in consulting as worrying features for the President's primary day-to-day filter, before reflecting on Democratic establishment media's defense of Zients as a “nice guy” whose past work you should somewhat ignore. Next, David walks Sam and Emma through Chuck Schumer cutting two massive bills that would have been a step towards breaking up Big Tech, including the American Innovation and Choice online Act – essentially preventing self-preferencing – and the Open Apps Market Act – which would take on the stipend that app monopolies (Google, Apple) take from in-app purchases – as well as exploring why Schumer has acted with such fealty to the Tech regime. Wrapping up, Dayen assesses Biden's massive 2021 executive order made up of 72 actions pushing government agencies to take on an understanding of economic competition beyond the impact on prices and consumers, discussing which agencies have actually seen the biggest shift in attitude, and the importance of these types of executive action in bolstering the programs of his anti-trust candidates like Lina Khan at the FTC and Jonathan Kanter at the DOJ, before briefly touching on Pete Buttigieg's floundering at the DOT and whether that will change. David Feldman also joins as he reflects on Sam's anti-cooperative work ethic, calls out the gated community that is the Majority Report, and check's in with Sam's child, Matt Lech. And in the Fun Half: Sam and Emma discuss the politics behind the Memphis Police's quick charging of their fellow cops for the murder of Tyre Nichols, Ron DeSantis asks why the hell the RNC is in DC, the nation's capital, and Matt Gaetz and Geraldo Rivera bring a tepid fight to Hannity over the debt ceiling debate. They also discuss Project Veritas' honey potting of a no-nothing Pfizer worker, Adam from Virginia talks to this show (of all shows) about day trading, and Garret from Michigan recommends the work of Nick Turse and discusses giving history teachers the freedom to discuss America's violent past, plus, your calls and IMs! Emma hosts Dorothy Roberts, professor of Law, Sociology, and Civil Rights at the University of Pennsylvania, to discuss her recent book Torn Apart: How the Child Welfare System Destroys Black Families--and How Abolition Can Build a Safer World. Emma first covers yesterday's simultaneous mass shootings, including five dead in Tulsa, the continued shortage of US-produced baby formula, the Israeli murder of another journalist in the occupied West Bank, and the GOP pitching mental health policy, which they don't support, as a solution to gun violence. Professor Dorothy Roberts then joins to discuss her book as a continuation of her work on the family policing system that we call “child welfare,” a system that fits neatly within our greater carceral apparatus. First, she and Emma trace the history of the family policing system back to the early era of American settler colonialism and slavery, with family separation as a tool of control over Black and indigenous communities, seen in the wake of the Civil War with “apprenticeships” of black children that put them back in the hands of former slave owners, and throughout the early history of the US Military removing indigenous kids from their communities, put into either military barracks or the infamous residential schools. Professor Roberts and Emma then discuss the framing of tactics as the criminalization of poverty disguised as the saving of children, and how this “benevolent terror” stripped agency away from POC and families under the guise of empathy. Next, Prof. Roberts walks through the impact of political stereotypes of Black women on the genuine criminalization of them and their children, starting with Reagan's endorsement of the “welfare queen” myth alongside the trifecta of crime control, the war on drugs, a complete unraveling of the welfare system, and continuing deep into the Clinton administration's commitment to neoliberalism. They wrap up the interview by moving to the criminalization of Black women's pregnancy in a way that has become increasingly more prevalent in an era of assault on reproductive rights, and take on the particular role of law enforcement in ensuring these terror attacks on poor families are committed, before Dorothy takes on the importance of income community-based programs and services in creating a future without these carceral attacks on family. And in the Fun Half: Emma is joined by Matt and Brandon as Dave from Jamaica calls to address the worrying obsession on the right (and not-so-on-the-right) over the Depp v. Heard decision, as they watch Crowder capitalize on a WOMAN being denounced as a DEFAMER, and Matt Lech dives deeper into the idea of defamation vs. free speech. Will from Indiana sparks Emma's sports talk, Sam Harris philosophizes about children dying, but with reverse racism, and Joe Rogan discusses his turn against UBI as he realized that capitalists DO deserve all the power, otherwise, who's gonna be a wage slave? Jake the teacher dives into New York's mayoral control over the school system, plus, your calls and IMs! Ben Burgis and the GTAA crew talk about The Oscar Slap and the way it perfectly encapsulates the way our weird late capitalist hellscape manages to turn every stupid little thing that happens into a political issue at the sake time as the most important issues are barely mentioned. Ben talks up a class he's teaching at the School for Social and Cultural Change about the arguments in Marx's "Capital" and promotes a couple of upcoming events in Toronto. (For details on those see: https://twitter.com/BenBurgis/status/1509997688162594820 ) The main event is a crossover with one of our favorite non-GTAA podcasts, "What's Left of Philosophy?", in which two of the co-hosts (Owen Glyn-Williams & Gil Morejón) join Ben to go through Jordan B. Peterson's recently released list of alleged "postmodern neo-Marxists." (You'll be shocked to learn it's not a well-though-out list.) In the philosophy segment w/Dr. Jenn Burgis, Ben & Jenn introduce the Teleological Argument for the existence of God and play an an old clip of Bill O'Reilly making an....odd argument against atheism. The Majority Report with Sam Seder

Sam hosts Matthew Cole, investigative reporter at The Intercept, to discuss his recent book Code Over Country: The Tragedy and Corruption of SEAL Team Six. Then, Sam is joined by Jack Crosbie, writer for Rolling Stone and Discourse Blog, to discuss the recent developments in Ukraine.  Matthew Cole begins tracing by SEAL Team Six's origins to the combat-swimmer units in WW2, known as “Frogmen,” known as the most elite soldiers in the navy, before the failure of the US Military in the 1979 hostage rescue in Tehran inspired President Carter's creation of a new counter-terrorism special ops unit, JSOC, with control over the Army's Delta Force and the newly created Navy SEAL Team Six. Next, Cole dives into the origins of the corruption in the unit, reaching back to their creation under Carter, and Commander Marcinko's lasting imprint on its culture, which he built to resemble a mafia, with himself as the Don at its center, pushing an outrageous lifestyle that included alcohol and drug abuse, fraud, and a code of silence when it came to the outside world – even the rest of the military. They then look to the wake of 9/11, as SEAL Team Six saw their first real extended warfare, beginning a twenty-year period in Afghanistan that saw unprecedented levels of violence for any individual unit. Cole and Sam parse through the little accountability that the unit faces, with their only superiors besides JSOC being the Pentagon and White House, so when things began to spin out of control, with war crimes and bodies piling up at the feel of SEAL Team Six, they were able to escape any incident with the leverage of their supposed “results.” Matthew Cole then explores Admiral Collin Green's public rebuke of an internal review of the team, calling out the cultural virus running rampant through the community, and bringing forward the clear and obvious need for an investigation into the history and facts of SEAL Team Six, with a genuine (even if non-criminal) system of accountability for the generations of brutality and corruption. Jack Crosbie then joins the show as he covers his return from Ukraine and what he has thought of coverage at home and abroad. They also touch on Jack's history, covering the conflict beginning in 2014, as he walks through the original violence and the eight years of constant war that followed, before he dives into this year's Russian invasion and the much higher levels of bloodshed, alongside the absurd horror of Putin's propaganda and what, if anything, could see us get closer to a ceasefire. Sam also covers the Texas courts' injunction on their abusive legislation targeting trans and queer children, the Texas Supreme Court's shutting down a final challenge on the Abortion ban, undermining that fight even further, and Rachel Maddow promoting a brand new Russian conspiracy, this time invoking the Holocaust (as a more positive example). And in the Fun Half: Sam discusses the role of satire in a society rife with ironic and unironic misinformation, Bill Maher claims his libertarian conservatism is actually the fault of trans people and anti-police activists for suddenly coming into existence five years ago, and Dave Rubin has Nikki Haley walk him through why the US's fear of leading with violence would lead the world into catastrophe, not something like nuclear war. Jordan Peterson relies on some low-budget misinformation to promote Ivermectin in the year 2022, only to be met with corrections by the first author of the experiment he supposedly cited. Sam and Emma host journalist Jonathan M. Katz, author of The Racket newsletter, to discuss his recent book Gangsters of Capitalism: Smedley Butler, The Marines, and the Making and Breaking of America's Empire, which explores the founding and expansion of US imperialism in the wake of manifest destiny, as the US military looked towards Latin America and the Pacific for the future of their economic exploitations. Telling the story through the awakening of one Smedley Butler, who would go on to write “War is a Racket”, Katz begins by situating his entrance into the military, joining the Marines on the eve of the Spanish-American War in Cuba, and rising up the ranks of Imperialism throughout the beginning of the 1900s, getting increasingly insider perspectives in countless colonizations and coups until ultimately reaching a breaking point with the obvious and exclusive economic interests at play. Katz, Sam, and Emma then dive into Butler's developing roles, looking at his entrance into imperialism with the invasion of Cuba, setting up a century defined by US intervention (but totally not colonialism…) in the region, and touch on how his role in Nicaragua and the Philippines greatly clarified the true purposes of dollar diplomacy, before the military action inched closer and closer to genocides, and the specter of fascism looked more and more like the US military. After diving into the lasting impact of slaughter and exploitation in the regions Smedley fought in, the three of them look to Smedley's return to the US, taking on a role of speaking out against the mistreatment of veterans by the government, and how this led Gerald McGuire and the Liberty League to see him as an anti-establishment ally, rather than the anti-fascist, anti-imperialist he had become. They wrap up the interview by looking at Butler's whistleblowing on the League's coup attempt on FDR, and some greater notes on US fascism that the Business Plot brought about. Sam and Emma also touch on Biden ONCE AGAIN politicizing the Courts by wanting to NOMINATE a JUDGE that is a BLACK WOMAN in PREPARATION for a DIFFERENT JUDGE's retirement. And in the Fun Half: Jason from Columbus dives into Smedley Butler's legacy in the marines, Paul from College explores how long COVID has been devastating young people, and Joe Rogan reminds us that the true misinformation was the knowledge that evolved along the way. Julie Banderas talks about the failure of bipartisanship, Matt Lech explores Peter Thiel's work with the law firm that led the Guatemalan coup in the 50s, and Ben Shapiro finally finds the audience for his killer jokes about taxes (six-year-olds) Brad from Sarasota explores the Green New Deal as a step in the right direction, plus, your calls and IMs! It's Casual Friday! Sam and Emma host Heather Digby Parton, contributing writer at Salon and proprietor of the Hullaballoo blog. Digby, Sam, and Emma jump right into recent news surrounding the January 6th committee, as the infrastructure and reconciliation fights fade into the background. They begin with former Chief of Staff Mark Meadows ignoring his subpoena for criminal contempt of congress, before getting into the recent Trump audio leak regarding “common sense” regard for Pence by the insurrectionists, and the hope that Democrats will finally capitalize on something in the public eye with these hearings, as well as the likelihood that they won't, especially with Pelosi's desire to maintain a “strong” Republican party. Next, they jump to the corporatist Dems pushing the “inflation is the new deficit” idea, all while they continue to reject any helpful provisions in reconciliation, and cover whether Biden and Co. will actually put any leverage on Manchin or if they're still shilling for a right-wing that will never respect them. Lastly, they touch on the continued supply line issues, and get into the Rittenhouse judge's absurdly explicit political performance.   In the second half: Sam and Emma are joined by David Roth, co-owner of Defector and host of The Distraction podcast, to discuss his recent piece "I Will Create A Winning Basketball Program At The University Of Austin", and cover the education institution for a new age, sponsored by every libertarian contrarian that spends too much time on the internet, and how and why Bari Weiss has decided on creating a “university” as her next money-making initiative in her fight against the woke trinity of trans people, Black people, and Palestinians. And in the Fun Half: Emma and Sam dive into Kyle Rittenhouse's judge taking time in the trial to test out his right-wing tight five with some supply line jokes, before looking deep into Jimmy Dore's mystery producer who either: A). Jimmy lets run wild in editing, or B). Jimmy encourages to manipulate information. Emma hosts Ryan Cooper, national correspondent for The Week, to discuss his recent piece "The Most Underrated Part of the Electric Revolution", on the connections between inflation and a green transition, and how making a shift away from gases and to electricity, especially in transportation, can be a solution to rising prices. Ryan and Emma start off with a lighthearted reflection on the recent CNN piece tracking the impact of inflation on a family of 12 that drinks a lot of milk, alongside the legitimate impact of supply chain bottlenecks. Ryan Cooper looks back to the 1970s at the last era of mass inflation in the US, and the massive difference between almost a decade of at least seven percent inflation, and a month of maybe six percent, before he and Emma shift towards the effect of inflation on debt, and the role creditors play in fear-mongering around rising prices. They look at the current state of household debt and wealth in the US, with both rates on the rise, and how the rising wealth has seen an increase in silly spending on immaterial things, from crypto and NFTs to stocks, while the rising prices with wage increase cut the real effect of the debt, thus we don't see a massive negative impact of inflation on the wealthy, and we could see a positive impact for the largely in debt. Next, they shift into the meat of Cooper's piece, looking at the role of gas prices within inflation as a whole as a much more volatile material in contrast with electricity, which can further be produced by homeowners themselves, taking on how big of an effect simply switching to Electric Vehicles could have, before they go into a more comprehensive response to this issue, looking at the effect of investing in public transportation and non-car infrastructure. Emma also covers the wildly lopsided relationship to punishment had by the judge currently presiding over the Rittenhouse double homicide case. And in the Fun Half: Emma is joined by Matt and Brandon as they take on media literacy in the US and who's to blame, as well the false bike-car dichotomy, Elaine Chao's call for us as a country (by which she means you as a laborer) to take on more work. Ben Burgis debates Charlie Kirk on "democratic socialism vs. Trumpian populism." Yes, that's right, we can finally air this. Ben and the crew do about half an hour of introductory material, discussing Kirk's role on the contemporary Right and the "platforming debate" as well as showing a classic TMBS clip with Michael Brooks, Matt Lech, and David Griscom weighing in on Charlie's odd way of referencing philosophers. The full first hour of the debate (the part that was filmed as an episode of "Debate Night with Charlie Kirk") is then played without interruption. When it's over, Ben, Professor Jennifer Burgis, and the crew weigh in on what they just heard and Ben and Jennifer pop some champagne and have a glass on air. The bonus hour of the debate is then played without interruption. When it's over, Ben and Jake have a quick celebratory shot of whiskey, everyone does some postgame commentary, and Ben announces a new class he's teaching on Sundays in December.Guys, this was really, really good. The Speakeasy class Ben is teaching on G.A. Sam and Emma are on Shutdown Watch today. They tackle the week ahead in Congressional negotiations and gridlock, as we hurtle towards the potential scuttling of Biden's agenda and looming financial crisis if no action is taken. They start the show by touching on the increasingly polarized divide in COVID deaths between Trump and non-Trump districts, unpacking Breitbart's claim that this is because of libs capitalizing on the “own the libs” mentality, and dive into Senator Cotton's pressing of General Milley on Afghanistan and what the role of resignation should actually play in politics. Next, they dive into the complete turnaround on the infrastructure platform over the last few days, with Pelosi almost entirely chucking the deal that's been worked on for the last few months to the side in favor of a minuscule minority of corporate Dems, looking particularly at the role of Manchin's increasingly ridiculous arguments, from inflation and debt to the importance of “rewarding mentality (???)”, and how Sinema is sticking to her guns despite the upcoming vote of no confidence by the AZ Democratic Party on her service to her constituents. They also look specifically at how mainstream media coverage has turned on the infrastructure debate, suddenly forgetting the public statements made since Biden's campaign, highlighted by Meet The Press's repetition of a Meghan McCain quote that simply is wrong fact after fact, before looking at Jayapal continuing to stick up for the Congressional Progressive Caucus and covering the complete abandonment of Biden's original platform. And in the Fun Half: Nomiki Konst joins Sam and Emma as they cover Jack Posobiec accidentally inventing vaccines as an anti-vax solution, Scott Jensen's extended discussion of what comes out of his anus (incidentally it's NOT his talking points), as well as Hasan Piker and Ethan Klein's new show. They also touch on the importance of localized messaging heading into the midterms, watch Tucker Carlson and Naomi Wolf reminisce on the total lack of moralizing and the incredible empathy shown to AIDS victims during the epidemic, and cover Jayapal's recent release on behalf of the CPC. It's Casual Friday! Sam and Emma host Alex Pareene, contributing editor at The New Republic and author of the AP newsletter on Substack to wrap up the week in news. Alex, Emma, and Sam immediately dive into the state of the Democratic Party now that leadership and media have now fully committed to both dismantling the infrastructure package, the central part of Biden's agenda, and blaming the progressives for tanking Biden's agenda. They begin by reflecting on the Dems' ability to find $1 Billion for Israel's Iron Dome, exploring the leverage behind AOC's disheartening vote and why they seem completely unable to level anything against Joe Manchin, no matter the familial controversies or previous statements that are readily available to be cited whenever by whoever. They also discuss the Biden Administration's devastating immigration policy, particularly with his election as a repudiation of Trump's xenophobic policy, and how the response to the “images” of abuse of Haitian refugees alongside the gutting of the infrastructure package has simply further emphasized Biden's staunch commitment to making everyone unhappy with his presidency. After wrapping up the infrastructure talk and covering the incredible levels of incompetence and disappointment at hand, they touch on Alex's recent piece on the lyme disease vaccine. Emma and Sam wrap up the free half with former Haiti Special Envoy Daniel Foote's resignation over the Biden Admin's treatment of Haitian refugees, and Jen Psaki's just insane response. In the second half, Sam and Emma are joined by comedian Andy Kindler as they cover his favorite topics, from the nuances of InfoWars production to a valid reason to break out the Italiphobic impressions. In the Fun Half the MR crew also dive into Biden's pivot to the Pacific as a continuation of a neocon project started decades ago and the first real threat we've had for a new cold war, before covering Michael Tracey's response to everything but Matt Lech's single question, plus, your IMs! In today's very special episode of historic.ly we will be talking to about one of the most sanitized events in American history.  Instead of myths of Pilgrims sitting down to eat a meal, we will learn the fate of the nations that the English settler colonists encountered:  The Pequot wars were a campaign of genocide that is often overlooked. Matt Lech joins us to tell the dark real story of Thanksgiving and the birth of America. Later in the episode, Matt Lech shares some contemporary history about Donald Trump and his ongoing feud with the Wampanoag and how they were coincidentally declassified as a first nation in September 2018( something that hadn't been done in nearly 80+ years).
