Ben Wilkins is entering his fourth season as the Men's Basketball Head Coach at D2 Seton Hill University. Under Wilkins, the Griffins have posted three consecutive 16-win seasons, tying the most wins in the program's NCAA Division II era. The program also notched its first-ever Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Tournament win (over Edinboro in 2025), tied the school record for road wins, and beat two nationally ranked teams—just the second and third such wins in school history.Prior to Seton Hill, was the Associate Head Coach at Army West Point, where he helped guide the most successful four-year stretch at the academy since Mike Krzyzewski. Ole Miss football wraps a two-week road trip at Oklahoma on Saturday. The Rebels will spend most all of November in Oxford. They'll host each of South Carolina, The Citadel and Florida the first three weeks before concluding the regular season at in-state rival Mississippi State for the Egg Bowl. Ole Miss already features one of college football's best game-day atmospheres — from tailgating in the Grove and the Walk of Champions, to fly-overs and in-game drone shows. The school has ‘got some things cooking' for the final run, according to Drew Ingraham, Ole Miss senior associate athletics director for external engagement. Ingraham joined Ole Miss Spirit contributor Brad Logan for a podcast on Thursday.Plus, Ole Miss basketball is also set to open on November 3. The Rebels are entering their third season under head coach Chris Beard. Welcome to the 2025 GCR College Basketball Preview Show! Always a fun morning when we get to go around the state and preview ALL the local college basketball programs, our good friend Patrick Stevens of Blue Ribbon and the Washington Post will be hanging out alongside us in studio as we chat with the Head Coaches from Loyola (MD), Mount St. Mary's, Towson, Coppin State, UMBC, Morgan State, and Navy! First up, at 9:20am, will be Head Coach of the Loyola (MD) Greyhounds Josh Loeffler as we see how the ‘Hounds are doing as they get ready for the season and prepare to compete once again in a tough Patriot League. At 9:40am, we'll head out to western Maryland and catch up with Mount St. Mary's Mountaineers and HC Donny Lind after Coach Lind led the Mount to a MAAC title and an NCAA Tournament appearance last season in his first year at the helm, we'll see how he plans to follow that performance up. At 10am, we'll go across the street here in Towson to see how the Towson Tigers are doing with HC Pat Skerry as they look to finally break through in the CAA, we'll talk all about bringing back reigning CAA Player of the Year Tyler Tejada and much more. At 10:20am, we will check in with HC Larry Stewart of the Coppin State Eagles in his 3rd season at his alma mater and how they're preparing for the MEAC gauntlet with yet another tough non-conference slate in November and December. At 10:40am, we'll hop on 695 and head to Catonsville and check in with UMBC HC Jim Ferry to see what the Retrievers are up to as they look to compete in the America East once again this season. At 11am, we'll see how the Morgan State Bears are doing with HC Kevin Broadus as the Bears look poised to make a run for the MEAC title this season. Finally, last but certainly not least, Navy HC Jon Perry will check in to let us know how his offseason went and what expectations are for the Mids' in Coach Perry's first season as Head Coach.
Michelle Andre has been the head field hockey coach at her alma mater, Division III Rowan University in Glassboro, since 2015. On her watch, the Profs have won five New Jersey Athletic Conference titles and earned six berths into the NCAA Tournament, while reaching the national semifinals three times - in 2018, 2021 and 2022. In this week's basketball coaching conversation, Liberty University head coach Ritchie McKay joins the Basketball Podcast to share insights on conceptual coaching, packline and the value of mentors.Ritchie McKay is the head coach of Liberty University's men's basketball program, where he has led the Flames to unprecedented success since returning in 2015. In his second stint at Liberty, McKay has guided the team to seven 20-plus win seasons, including a school-record 30 victories in 2019–20. Under his leadership, Liberty captured three ASUN Tournament titles, four regular season championships, and earned its first NCAA Tournament win in program history in 2019. Over the past six seasons, Liberty has won 149 games—eighth most in the nation during that span.Before returning to Liberty, McKay spent six seasons as associate head coach at the University of Virginia under Tony Bennett. During his tenure, the Cavaliers posted a 136–64 record, won the ACC Championship in 2014, and made three NCAA Tournament appearances. McKay's head coaching career spans over two decades, with previous stops at New Mexico, Oregon State, Colorado State, and Portland State. At New Mexico, he led the Lobos to an 82–69 record over five seasons, including a Mountain West Conference title and NCAA Tournament berth in 2005. At Colorado State, McKay posted a 37–23 record and guided the Rams to the NIT quarterfinals in 1999. His tenure at Portland State marked the revival of a dormant program, earning national recognition and a Clair Bee Award finalist nod for innovation in coaching.In total, McKay has amassed over 400 career wins and holds the highest winning percentage in Liberty program history. His coaching accolades include multiple Coach of the Year honors, national recognition for leadership, and a reputation for building programs that compete with integrity and purpose.

Weston Jameson is the Men's Basketball Head Coach at D2 Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas. In just his second year at the helm in 2024-25 he led the Bison to a 22-10 record and the NCAA Tournament after winning the Great American Conference Tournament. Prior to taking over the men's program at Harding, Jameson was an assistant coach for the women's basketball programs at Abilene Christian University (2021-2023), Arkansas State University (2020-2021) and Harding (2015-2020).Before his first stint at Harding, Jameson worked as the junior boys head coach and senior boys assistant coach at Central Arkansas Christian School in North Little Rock in 2014-15.Jameson was a three-year starter and four-year letter winner at point guard for the Harding men's basketball team from 2010-14. He had 474 assists in his time as a Bison, fourth on Harding's career list, and helped lead the Bisons to the 2014 Great American Conference Tournament championship. In this week's basketball coaching conversation, UNC Greensboro head coach Mike Jones joins the Basketball Podcast to share insights on their defensive identity.Mike Jones is the head coach at UNC Greensboro, where he has continued his winning tradition with three consecutive 20-win seasons. Prior to joining UNCG in 2021, Jones spent a decade as the head coach at Radford University, leading the Highlanders to 174 wins, two Big South regular season championships in 2019 and 2020, and a Big South tournament title in 2018. That same season, he guided Radford to its third-ever NCAA Tournament appearance and was named both Big South Coach of the Year and NABC District 3 Coach of the Year. He earned a second Big South Coach of the Year honor in 2020 and was a finalist for the Skip Prosser Man of the Year award in 2019.Under Jones, Radford made postseason appearances in the College Basketball Invitational in 2014 and 2015, and recorded five seasons with at least 20 wins. His teams earned notable victories over programs such as Northwestern, Richmond, Notre Dame, and Texas. Before his head coaching tenure, Jones served as an assistant at VCU under Shaka Smart, helping the Rams reach the Final Four and compiling 55 wins over two seasons—the most in any two-year span in program history.Earlier in his career, Jones was an assistant coach at Georgia under Dennis Felton, where he contributed to the Bulldogs' 2008 SEC Championship and NCAA Tournament berth. His coaching journey also includes assistant roles at West Virginia, Richmond, Furman, and Howard, as well as a head coaching stint at Sidwell Friends School. With an overall record of 252–199, Jones has built a reputation for competitive success, player development, and leadership rooted in integrity. His mentors include George Felton and Shaka Smart, both of whom helped shape his approach to coaching at the highest level.

In this week's basketball coaching conversation, Samford head coach Matt Wise joins the Basketball Podcast to share insights on taking over as a first year head coach.Matt Wise enters the 2025–26 season as the head women's basketball coach at Samford University, continuing to build on a coaching career defined by player development, tactical innovation, and program elevation. After being officially introduced as head coach in April 2025, Wise took the reins following two seasons as an assistant coach with the Bulldogs, where he was deeply involved in all aspects of the program.Prior to his time at Samford, Wise served as the director of video and creative content for Alabama's women's basketball team during the 2021–22 season. His coaching journey also includes extensive experience on the men's side, with assistant coaching roles at East Tennessee State, Little Rock, and two separate stints at the University of Wyoming. At Wyoming, he helped guide the Cowboys to a Mountain West Tournament title and an NCAA Tournament berth in 2015, contributing to the development of NBA forward Larry Nance Jr.Wise began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at the University of Florida, where he supported the Gators during back-to-back Elite Eight appearances.A former four-year letter winner at Transylvania University, he led the Pioneers to a 2009 NCAA Division III Tournament appearance and earned his master's degree in sport management from Florida in 2013.
Jason Parker is the founder of JP3 Training in Tulsa, Oklahoma where he strives to help basketball players grow their skills and aggressiveness. Prior to starting JP3 in August of 2025 Jason served 12 years as an athletic director at Muskogee Public Schools, Sapulpa Public Schools, and Monte Cassino School. Jason earned his Juris Doctorate in 2012 from Tulsa and passed the Oklahoma Bar Exam in 2013. While completing his JD, he served as a graduate assistant in Athletics at Tulsa.As a player, Jason graduated from Memorial High School finishing 3rd academically and was the school's all-time leading scorer. He went on to play at The University of Tulsa where he played on an NIT Championship Team in 2001 and in the NCAA Tournament in 2002 and 2003. While at TU, he received several honors as a student athlete: 2004 College Basketball Student-Athlete of the Year Finalist; 2004 ESPN Second Team Academic All-American; 2003 ESPN Third Team Academic All-American; 2003 NCAA Tournament Second Round Player of the Game. He finished his playing career in the top ten in Tulsa Men's Basketball history in points, assists, steals, and three-pointers.
