On Thursday's Mark Levin Show, what is in the president's mail-in voting executive order? It ensures voter integrity and the requirements are common sense, yet Democrats and their media lie about it as an effort to stop women and people of color from voting and call it a grave threat. The Democrats and their slip-and-fall lawyers always seem to be on the side of the cheaters but claim they are just looking out for the rest of us. This executive order is perfectly legitimate. Also, a leaked CBC memo instructed reporters ahead of the 25th anniversary of 9/11 not to refer to the attacks as terrorist attacks, instead describing hijackings that led to passenger jet crashes in Washington, D.C., Pennsylvania, and Manhattan that destroyed the World Trade Center. If 9/11 is not terrorism then terrorism does not exist. The left and Islamists in media allow this insanity to spread like poison.  Later, people aren't reading books, especially young people, so they lack independent information and don't understand the history of socialism; they aren't taught it and are instead taught that socialism is fantastic. Many do not know what happened in the Holocaust or the Civil War's massive battles to preserve the Union and end slavery, nor why the Electoral College or the Senate exist. As a result they listen to Rasputin-type figures and radical anti-American faculty with tenure become the only source they have, leaving them without enough knowledge to push back. Afterward, the Democrats did everything they could to stop Ronald Reagan from pursuing the Strategic Defense Initiative, which led to Patriot missiles, among other life-saving technologies. The media regurgitated the Democrats' talking points, and mocked Reagan and "Star Wars."  The Democrats, the media, and the Woke Reich isolations opposed significant increases in our defense budget, which has been shrinking as a percentage of GDP for some time. Meanwhile,  Barack Obama and Biden changed names on forts, ships, mountains. They changed nouns and pronouns. But Trump changes names to promote America and these same people lose what's left of their minds. Finally, Jon Husted calls in to discuss his Senate run against Sherrod Brown in Ohio. Brown tries to portray himself as a moderate but he's a liberal. Husted says the Democratic Socialists are taking over the Democratic party. A leaked memo from the campaign arm of Senate Republicans says data centers are "the anchor hanging around Jon Husted's neck." That is not opposition research. That is the National Republican Senatorial Committee, in writing, to artificial intelligence companies. This week, Ohio politics ran through one issue: data centers, and who pays for them. Host Radell Lewis breaks down the leaked NRSC memo, the OpenAI data center in Piketon, the tax exemption that missed its own state estimate by eleven times over, and the Ohio Attorney General race almost nobody is covering. Every figure is sourced on air. WHAT IS IN THIS EPISODE: OpenAI confirmed on August 17 that it is joining the PORTS Pike Technology Campus in Pike County, projecting roughly 35,000 construction jobs through 2032 and 2,500 long term positions. The power source is the story under the story: a $33 billion, 9.2 gigawatt on site natural gas facility. The math that paused the tax break: Ohio's Department of Taxation estimated the data center sales and use tax exemption would cost about $136 million in 2025. The actual cost was about $1.6 billion, eleven times the estimate, plus $166.8 million out of local budgets. Governor DeWine paused new requests on May 27. The other side of the ledger is real too: exempted facilities reported $27.2 billion in capital investment in 2025. Two Ohio Supreme Court energy rulings pointing opposite directions, Vivek Ramaswamy's nearly $700,000 private jet bill, the Utica police partnership with ICE, the Clermont County Flock camera case, and the absentee rule change that will cost Ohio voters their ballots. The four day grace period for ballots postmarked by Election Day is gone. Postmarked is no longer good enough. The Ohio Attorney General race is an open seat: Keith Faber, Republican and current State Auditor, against John Kulewicz, Democrat and retired Vorys partner. What the office controls, including the power to certify or reject the summary language on a citizen ballot initiative before anyone collects a signature, and the sharpest split between them, the FirstEnergy corruption case. And the marquee: the NRSC memo calls the Senate race a "dead heat," citing private polling it has not released. The most recent public poll, Fox News in the field August 6 to 10 with 1,008 registered Ohio voters, shows Sherrod Brown at 53 and Jon Husted at 45. Both cannot be right. That leaves August 10 as the last day county party chairs can name a replacement on the ballot, and Cuyahoga County has to give two days notice before that meeting even happens. If Miller withdraws after Monday, there is no Republican on the ballot against Democrat Brian Poindexter. Meanwhile a co/efficient poll circulating this week has Miller down 14, Sen. Bernie Moreno says Miller fails any basic standard of character for elected office, and Sen. Jon Husted has called on him to resign and drop out. Legendary Democratic strategist Tad Devine — a senior adviser to Bernie Sanders' 2016 campaign and a veteran of multiple presidential campaigns — joins the Chuck Toddcast with a new book and a provocative thesis: the Democratic Party actively screwed Bernie Sanders, and in doing so screwed itself. Trump's 2025 financial disclosure showing $2.2 billion in personal income, much of it from crypto, is drawing backlash even from Republican voters in Florida. CNN aired a supercut of Trump on the 2016 campaign trail ripping politicians who enrich themselves in office, nearly ten years to the day before his own disclosure dropped. John Fetterman appeared on Fox News to say the only thing that would make him leave the Democratic Party is if it turns on Israel, a position held by 80 to 90 percent of the Democratic voting base. Joe Manchin publicly encouraged Fetterman to go independent. A new Graham Platner story dropped today, and it answers one question while opening about a dozen others. The reporting centers on an ex-girlfriend from his time in Washington who describes behavior that she says included being yanked out of cabs, shaken by the shoulders, blocked from leaving rooms, and subjected to bizarre conversations about violence and power. The Platner campaign does not appear to dispute many of the specifics. Instead, it continues to insist that none of this amounts to sexual assault. Their strategy is obvious: keep this campaign alive until July 10, the last day under Maine law that Democrats could replace him on the ballot.The problem is that the list of people the campaign says are actually the problem keeps getting longer. First it was the former campaign manager. Now it's an ex-girlfriend. The campaign has gone out of its way to point out that the woman worked in Republican politics years ago. Maybe that's relevant, maybe it isn't. What matters politically is that this is now the second woman in a week whose allegations are being dismissed while the campaign asks everyone to focus on Graham Platner instead. Meanwhile, the campaign's own internal polling reportedly has him four points ahead of Susan Collins. That's not exactly reassuring when a public poll from late May had him up nine. If you're releasing a poll to save a candidacy and it shows you've lost five points, that's not great.Politics Politics Politics is a reader-supported publication. The dating stories are damaging, but the Kik story is the Pandora's box. That's the ugly stuff. What's behind that door? The potential answer is why this scandal continues to dominate the conversation. Platner's goal now is simple: survive the primary, survive the next month, and make it to July 10. If he's still standing then, Democrats may have no choice but to circle the wagons.Elsewhere, there was a polling shocker in Ohio. A Fox News poll found Sherrod Brown leading Senator John Husted by eight points, 53 to 45. If we start seeing more polls like that, Democrats may have found one of their best pickup opportunities. Brown is a known quantity in Ohio. If the environment continues to improve for Democrats, it may not matter how exciting or energetic his campaign is. He could simply coast on familiarity and favorable conditions.California, meanwhile, continues to count ballots at a pace that seems designed to test the limits of human patience. The governor's race is still unresolved, and Los Angeles mayoral results remain in flux. What frustrates me is that this is a choice. California mails ballots to everyone and allows ballots to arrive days after the election. Fine. But there's no reason the ballots already in hand couldn't be processed faster. Instead, the state releases vote drops so slowly that candidates can spend weeks appearing to lead or trail before the public gets anything close to a final picture. I genuinely think that's bad for democracy because people are not wired to watch somebody lead by eight points and then potentially lose weeks later.That brings us to Spencer Pratt and Nithya Raman. Prediction markets currently have Raman favored to make the general election despite Pratt holding second place. I don't understand the math. Raman gained ground in the latest vote drop, but not nearly at the pace she would need to overtake him. Maybe future batches change that. Maybe they don't. But when prediction markets start pricing in outcomes that don't seem to match the publicly available numbers, people begin assuming something else is going on. That's another reason the endless California count is so damaging. The Gop House voted for a resolution to end the Iran war, which everyone knows that we won through obliteration ages ago, like Viet Nam. Meanwhile, the Senate voted to finally consider funding immigration enforcement agencies, following their decision to pretend that Trump has given up on his Jan 6 slush fund.
