On Wednesday's Mark Levin Show, Tuesday's election results were no surprise because the Democrats immigration strategy to change the demographics and citizenry, without assimilation, has worked. NYC will decline, the question is by how much and Virginia is now part of the federal government. If the election was about affordability why did NJ vote to increase their property taxes and energy bills? Also, America is at a critical juncture, threatened by Marxist Islamists on the extreme left and the extreme right. These evil forces collude to dismantle the greatest nation ever, embodying freedom, diversity, tolerance, just law, and decentralized power, inherited through ancestral sacrifices. They embrace tyrants like Hitler, Stalin, Qatar's leaders, Iran, and Putin, aiming to impose ideologies, religions, or third-world status. We need to reject and deplatform enablers in media, think tanks, and organizations profiting from hate, Marxism, Islamism, antisemitism, or anti-Christianity via market forces. Later, neither the law nor the Constitution prohibits a President from imposing tariffs, which can serve purposes like rebuilding industries, countering foreign tariffs, or ensuring national security. Congress holds the power of the purse and could pass statutes to limit presidential tariff authority, but it has not done so, making judicial intervention unnecessary and a potential separation of powers issue. The Court should refrain from involvement, as any limits would come from congressional action or voter disapproval. Afterward, Dinesh D'Souza calls in to explain the danger of Tucker Carlson, who is driving a wedge between Christians and Jews, America and Israel, and the pillars of Western civilization, which harms Trump, MAGA, and the Republican Party by inviting bigotries like anti-Semitism. Finally, Eli Sharabi, a former Hamas hostage from Kibbutz Berry, calls in to share his story of what happened of October 7th and beyond in his new book, Hostage. https://www.amazon.com/dp/0063489791/ During his 14-month captivity in tunnels, he lost over 60 pounds and bonded closely with fellow hostages, sharing daily conversations about their childhoods, families, friends, and hobbies to survive. They developed strategies for dealing with captors and analyzed them constantly. Throughout, they maintained unwavering hope and faith, believing it was only a matter of time before Israel, through the IDF, secret services, and leadership, would secure their release. Democrats won two governor's races in Virginia and New Jersey, victories they call a rejection of President Trump's policies and a sign that economic issues are resonating with voters. New York City elected Zohran Mamdani as its first Muslim mayor, defeating former governor Andrew Cuomo in a race that drew record voter turnout. And California voters approved a new congressional map that could give Democrats up to five more House seats in next year's midterms.Want more comprehensive analysis of the most important news of the day, plus a little fun? Ben and Tommy discuss President Trump's threat to invade Nigeria to stop a (nonexistent) genocide against Christians and the international community's total failure to stop an actual genocide happening in Sudan. Also covered: why Trump's pitch to restart testing of nuclear weapons might be his worst (and scariest) foreign policy idea to date, why FBI Director Kash Patel's trip to visit his girlfriend is getting slammed by right-wing commentators, the uproar in Israel over a torture investigation, election wins for left-wing candidates in Ireland and the Netherlands, Trump's overtly racist refugee policy, and the final nail in the royal coffin for Prince Andrew. Then Ben speaks with Sanna Marin, the former Prime Minister of Finland, about the double standards women in leadership face, and her new book Hope in Action: A Memoir About the Courage to Lead. For a closed-captioned version of this episode, click here. Zohran Mamdani has won the 2025 New York City mayoral race, with a higher turnout of voters than New York has seen in decades. This despite the fact that New York's senators — Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand — did not back Mamdani, and House Democrat Leader Hakeem Jeffries waited until the day before early voting began to endorse the Democratic nominee.Mamdani's divided party support reflects an intensifying argument over whether Democratic candidates must move closer to the political center - or further away - in order to win. More To The Story: Jason Stanley isn't afraid to use the F-word when talking about President Donald Trump. The author of How Fascism Works and Erasing History: How Fascists Rewrite the Past to Control the Future is clear: He believes the United States is currently under an authoritarian regime led by a fascist leader. At a time when the Trump administration is putting increasing pressure on private and public universities to conform or lose funding, Stanley recently left his position at Yale University and moved his family to Canada, where he's now the Bissell-Heyd chair in American studies at the Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy at the University of Toronto. The move, he says, has allowed him to talk about the US in a way that wouldn't have been possible if he remained in the country. On this week's More To The Story, Stanley traces the recent rise of fascist regimes around the globe, and explains why he describes what's happening in the US today as a “coup” and why he thinks the speed and scope of the Trump administration's hardline policies could ultimately lead to significant pushback from those opposed to the president.Producer: Josh Sanburn | Editor: Kara McGuirk-Allison | Theme music: Fernando Arruda and Jim Briggs | Copy editor: Nikki Frick | Digital producer: Artis Curiskis | Deputy executive producer: Taki Telonidis | Executive producer: Brett Myers | Executive editor: James West | Host: Al Letson Donate today at Revealnews.org/more Subscribe to our weekly newsletter at Revealnews.org/weekly Follow us on Instagram and Bluesky Read: He Studies Fascism: Is He Now Living Through It? Michael Wolff joins Joanna Coles to dissect the latest unraveling in Trumpworld: the controversial CBS News settlement, followed by their soft-ball sit‑down with Donald Trump. They question: Is this real journalism or a pay‑for‑play fluff piece? Later, they turn to JD Vance's weekend spectacle—the public message to his Hindu wife, the viral hug with Erica Kirk, and what it reveals about Vance's naked ambition to court MAGA while lacking the requisite authenticity to appeal truly. Along the way, they chart how the conservative media ecosystem is shifting, how Trump's polling collapse and foreign‑policy chaos are fueling the vacuum around Trump, and how ambition, extreme rhetoric, and charged cynicism have become the new tools of power in Washington. Meet my friends, Clay Travis and Buck Sexton! If you love Verdict, the Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show might also be in your audio wheelhouse. Politics, news analysis, and some pop culture and comedy thrown in too. Here’s a sample episode recapping four takeaways. Give the guys a listen and then follow and subscribe wherever you get your podcasts. It's Election Day! A high-energy Election Day edition packed with breaking political analysis and cultural commentary. Clay celebrates the release of his new book “Balls”, urging listeners to support conservative voices in publishing. The hour dives deep into the New York City mayoral race, spotlighting the shocking Donald Trump endorsement of Andrew Cuomo as a strategic move to block socialist candidate Zohran Mamdani. Clay and Buck debate whether this last-minute endorsement helps or hurts Cuomo, referencing insights from Stephen Miller and Van Jones, and warning that a split in the anti-Mamdani vote could hand victory to the far-left. The hosts analyze key battlegrounds in Virginia and New Jersey, stressing the importance of down-ballot races like Attorney General and Lieutenant Governor. They predict razor-thin margins and urge listeners nationwide to get out and vote. Discussion turns to Mamdani’s progressive promises—rent freezes, free buses, and government grocery stores—which Cuomo calls “TikTok promises” with no legal basis. Clay and Buck argue these policies would worsen crime and quality of life, drawing parallels to failed corporate virtue-signaling like Starbucks’ bathroom policy and Bud Light’s marketing missteps. Get Some Balls! Clay promotes his new book “Balls”, endorsed by President Trump, and shares plans for charitable initiatives tied to free speech advocacy. Clay and Buck analyze the high-stakes contests in New Jersey, Virginia, and New York City, emphasizing how Democrats will frame victories as a referendum on Donald Trump’s presidency, despite these being deep-blue strongholds. The hosts spotlight the New Jersey governor’s race, where Jack Ciattarelli’s chances hinge on massive Republican turnout to overcome Democrats’ early voting lead. They slam progressive policies like plastic bag bans, arguing they harm consumers and the environment, and highlight housing affordability crises caused by government mandates and rent control schemes. Our Data Guru Crunches the Early Numbers Data analyst Ryan Girdusky joins to break down record-breaking voter turnout, surging Democratic numbers in key counties, and the implications for future elections. The discussion expands to electricity price spikes, the impact of data centers, and Democrats’ strategy to nationalize local races around Trump. In New York City, the conversation centers on the mayoral showdown featuring Zohran Mamdani, whose socialist platform promises rent freezes, free buses, and government grocery stores—policies Clay and Buck call “fairy tales” that would worsen crime and quality of life. They dissect Andrew Cuomo’s failure to give Republicans a reason to support him, despite Trump’s last-minute endorsement, and warn that a Mamdani victory could embolden far-left figures like AOC to push national socialism. The hour also covers Virginia’s gubernatorial race, where Winsome Sears struggles after running a single-issue campaign on transgender bathrooms, while down-ballot races for Attorney General and Lieutenant Governor remain competitive. Gonna Be Gavin and The Empire Strikes Back The hosts revisit the stakes in New York City’s mayoral race, the Virginia and New Jersey governor contests, and California’s Proposition 50, warning that Democrats will frame any wins as a repudiation of Donald Trump’s presidency despite these being deep-blue strongholds. Clay and Buck emphasize the importance of voting and highlight how Democrats use emotional manipulation—rather than real solutions—to distract from failures on crime, cost of living, and governance. 1. Hostage Remains and Psychological Warfare The podcast opens with a news story from the Jerusalem Post about Hamas returning partial remains to Israel. These remains were not from known hostages, which the speaker describes as a form of psychological torture against Israeli families. The Red Cross acted as an intermediary in the handover, but Hamas did not specify whose remains were being returned. 2. Personal Reflections and Pilgrimage Ben then shares that this trip to Israel is a spiritual journey, visiting sites related to Jesus and expressing feelings of safety and peace in Jerusalem. Encourages others to visit Israel, stating it feels safe despite the conflict. 3. Rise of Antisemitism in the U.S. A major theme is the alleged rise of antisemitism among American conservatives. Specific figures mentioned include Candace Owens, Tucker Carlson, and Nick Fuentes, accused of downplaying Israel’s importance as a U.S. ally. The speaker references Senator Ted Cruz, who warned of a “growing cancer” of antisemitism on the political right and urged Christian leaders to confront it. 4. Media Criticism Ben criticizes mainstream media for allegedly portraying Israel as the aggressor and failing to tell the stories of Israeli victims and hostages. 5. Support for Donald Trump Ben praises Donald Trump’s leadership, particularly his role in the Abraham Accords and efforts to secure the release of hostages. A new Democracy Matters report finds six in ten working-class voters view Democrats as “woke, weak, and out of touch,” with many unable to name what the party stands for beyond opposing Trump. President Trump threatens to cut aid and potentially send in U.S. forces unless the Nigerian government acts to stop what he calls the “mass slaughter” of Christians by Islamist militants. Pulitzer Prize-winning journalists Carol Leonnig and Aaron C. Davis talk about why the U.S. Justice Department's cases against Donald Trump for alleged interference in the 2020 election and his retention of government documents never made it before a jury. They find both FBI officials and government prosecutors were at times reluctant to pursue leads out of concern for preserving the department's commitment to fairness and independence from politics. Leonnig and Davis also detail many cases of Trump as president pressuring the DOJ to protect his friends and punish his perceived enemies. Their book is ‘Injustice: How Politics and Fear Vanquished America's Justice Department.' A federal judge once again blocked the Trump Administration from sending the National Guard to Portland over the weekend — but if Trump is successful in the courts, Portlanders can look to the great city of Chicago for a preview of what may be in store. Since ICE began operations in September, there have been violent raids on apartment buildings and near-constant activity from aggressive federal agents rounding up immigrants who are being kept in facilities reportedly full of cockroaches and with horrifying examples of overcrowding. And, in some cases, US citizens are getting detained, too. Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson has faced the brunt of Trump's attacks on the city, while also reckoning with Chicago's crime rate and affordability crises that many big cities also face. We sat down with the Mayor to talk about what it's been like to face down the President while trying to manage the nation's third-largest city. And in headlines, President Trump's tariffs are at the Supreme Court this week, a rundown of the high-profile Election Day races, and 20 Democratic-led states sue the Trump administration over a rule that could block certain public servants from getting their student loans forgiven.Show Notes:Call Congress – 202-224-3121Subscribe to the What A Day Newsletter – https://tinyurl.com/3kk4nyz8What A Day – YouTube – https://www.youtube.com/@whatadaypodcastFollow us on Instagram – https://www.instagram.com/crookedmedia/For a transcript of this episode, please visit crooked.com/whataday Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. He tells us about a band of West Bank settlers attacking him and locals in the olive fields of Turmus'ayya, including an old woman who was beaten unconscious on camera. He then talks about the Israeli military and intelligence's response to the crime, the footage actually breaking through to the mainstream Anglophone press, and various U.S. Senators' response to the attack.
