I state we are all driven by our desires or our fears. Positively or negatively. In relationships, the same holds true and it's explained and defined by our attachment styles. As a child you experienced attachment to others a certain way and this was your programming going forth for all relationships. Friends, this is immensely significant. You can quickly find out your attachment style and open a whole new world of understanding and opportunity for your life, from relationships to how you work to how you perceive your spirituality. I sat down for a long talk with Thais Gibson. Thais has become the authority on attachment theory and styles. She has a Ph.D. with nearly a decade of experience running a successful private practice and engaging with over 30,000 clients through individual sessions, workshops, and an educational platform. She created the Gibson Integrated Attachment Theory™, which unites traditional attachment theory, developmental psychology insights, and potent subconscious reprogramming techniques that are woven throughout the course material within The Personal Development School. Thais founded the Personal Development School when her private practice got fully booked with a 2-year waitlist. It quickly expanded to thousands of members and counting in 115 countries. The school has over 38 million views on social media. I encourage you to go to personaldevelopmentschool.com now and take the free Attachment Style quiz. So you have a big date lined up, or maybe you're gonna hit the bars to socialize with women, but you have NO idea what to wear. Do labels matter? Should you wear sneakers or shoes? Or those chinos the right choice, or do you look like your dad's golf buddy?Your clothes can either make you MAGNETIC… or they can make you lonely and dateless. In dating, your looks are overrated, but your LOOK matters… a lot! Good style is essential. In today's Dating Transformation podcast, host and dating coach Connell Barrett welcomes Riane Bawalan, a professional stylist for men. Riane helps single guys look great, so that they can get more dates and look and feel more confident. Listen now, so you can look and feel hot and handsome, and attract a wonderful woman into your life.FOR STYLE HELP FROM RIANE BAWALAN:http://www.thegentlemansphotographer.comFOR A FREE STRATEGY CALL WITH CONNELL, TO LEARN HOW TO ATTRACT YOUR DREAM RELATIONSHIP:http://www.datingtransformation.com/contactGET CONNELL'S NO. 1 BESTSELLING GUIDE FOR MEN, “DATING SUCKS BUT YOU DON'T,” YOUR PRATICAL GUIDE ON HOW TO GET A GIRLFRIEND BY BEING RADICALLY AUTHENTIC:www.amazon.com/Dating-Sucks-but-You-Dont-ebook/dp/B08LDZL3BONUS TIPS: 8 STYLE RULES FOR GREAT FIRST DATESThe right clothes help unlock your confidence. In a Men's Health survey, 78 percent of women said that dressing well is the hottest thing a man can do, and 85 percent said that a well-dressed man is sexier than a man with lots of money. Here are eight style rules for first dates (and dating in general.)1: Your shirts, pants, and jackets should be tailored for your body, or appear to be. The biggest style mistake men make? Baggy, ill-fitting clothes. Your duds shouldn't be too tight, nor should they billow. Think somewhat snug.2: Own at least one pair of quality, dark denim jeans (blue or black). And please, no pleated khakis! (Be a hot guy, not a Helpful Honda Guy.)3: As for shirts, favor button-downs, polos, and quality tees. In an Esquire survey, women preferred plain white tees on a man more than any other kind of shirt.4: Have at least one pair of fun, stylish sneakers (NOT gym shoes), such as Stan Smiths or Chuck Taylors. As for dress shoes, consider a classic loafer, brogue, or lace-up Oxford (brown or black.)5: Be well-groomed, and smell absolutely amazing.6: Your hair (or lack thereof) should look “on purpose,” whether you're rocking a cool fade, or shaving your head. Consider a consultation with a hair stylist.7: If you're balding, keep it very close-cropped, or go full Kojak.8: Wear boxer-briefs. In a GQ survey, 65 percent of women preferred boxer-briefs on a man (compared to 19 percent for boxers and 5 percent for tightie-whities.) True, it's only the first date, but it's best to be prepared.Quotes:"Wearing clothes that reflect your personality and interests is a great icebreaker and conversation starter." -Riane Bawalan"Men should prioritize taking some time to revamp their wardrobe. It not only boosts your confidence and changes how you perceive yourself, but also influences the impression you make on others. ."- Riane Bawalan"People's clothing choices often reflect their mindset and lifestyle, with some not caring about what they wear. Lilliana gets super candid about all the things: how she met her husband, how her first retrieval got messed up, how it's difficult to talk about infertility in her Latin community, how IVF is "a thief," being your own health advocate, the importance of getting a second opinion, how infertility almost "broke" her marriage, and finally, how she had her baby boy, Santi. "In my head, I had told myself, 'This one IVF round is going to lead to a beautiful, healthy baby,' which I think a lot of women do," she says. "It's very expensive, it's emotionally taxing, it's a huge sacrifice, and then to get that news, you're like—this was supposed to be my baby." There are countless ways to describe stylist Renée Lara's vision, but perhaps the best is personal. As a Style Expert, Renée encourages women to develop clarity, individuality and a sense of personal renewal through fashion. I know this was my experience when I worked with Renée several years ago. The time I spent with her fundamentally changed how I felt about my body and about being seen in the world. The confidence she brought out in me was equal to the love she poured into me. Renée is a lover of people - all kinds of people. You can't miss that when you meet her. Renée's motivation stems from a compelling personal story. One that mixes natural gifts and intuition with personal values. One that turns a personal struggle into a blessing for others. Renée's studies began in pre-nursing, then, ultimately, Psychology and Entrepreneurial Business at The University of Portland. Her travels include Asia, Europe and South America. It was in India when Renée worked with Mother Teresa that she witnessed the health benefits of color, scent and texture, which prompted her to study apparel design at the Art Institute of Portland. Shortly following her trip to India, Renée was diagnosed with Lupus - an autoimmune disease that rigorously attacks healthy tissues, especially joints and skin. The challenges she faced that first year were an integral part of her developing this link between wardrobe to wellness. She literraly dressed herself to recover. While she still experiences the health challenges of lupus - a lifelong disease - she's developed a philosophy for working with clients that transcends traditional practices in the styling industry. Renée writes, ‘Wardrobe can be a powerful source in healing doubt, and igniting beauty that is within each of us. Instilling confidence to step into our greatness with authenticity and ease in our daily lives.' For over 20 years, Renée has cultivated her professional artistry, working for both luxury boutiques and larger retailers such as Adidas and Anthropologie. Studying at the Art Institute led to her involvement in Portland's Fashion Incubator, and subsequently, to Portland's Fashion Week. Renée is inspired by the latest trends, which she mixes with her sharp eye for a classic yet modern feel. Using color, fabrics, patterns and textures, Renée energizes and inspires transformation for all her clients. No matter the client or need, Renée connects one's personal style to wardrobe and well-being. "I empower women to feel more alive and authentic in their own body through wardrobe - guiding her to design a lifestyle where how she dresses ultimately enhances her wellness." Working with Renée is one of the best investments I've made in myself and my business. Several of my clients have had similar experiences. I'm so grateful now to call her a friend, too. Andy is the charming and sassy go-to-gal for “thrifty-chic” fashion fixes and budget beauty help. Andy understands that most women live on a budget and yet still want to turn heads and drop jaws. That's why she carved out a niche focusing on the “average” American woman. She developed her own line of affordable, all-natural-hair cosmetic brushes (ANDY PAIGE COSMETIC BRUSHES™) and launched STYLE IN A BOX™ – a thrifty-chic bundle of accessories that offers an immediate style boost to any outfit. She makes looking spectacular fun and easy. In June 2013, Andy launched her newest product, the GirlyGoGarter®, a hands-free purse worn neatly and discretely as a sexy garter, that was nearly five years in the making and includes three patents. Andy knows how challenging it is to figure out where to put your girlie must-haves (like lipstick, your mobile phone, I.D., powder brush and even small baby items) when you don't want to lug a handbag. The garter fits snugly around the thigh and allows a woman to conceal these items and more without showing a bulge through her dress. This is fast becoming the must-have item for 2013. Every woman at one time or another will need a GirlyGoGarter®. Andy is the author of the internationally best-selling book, Style On A Shoestring and has experience doing over 100 “fabulously frugal” makeovers on over 200 episodes of television, airing in over 14 countries. She earned her title, “Budget Bombshell,” honestly through her extensive work. She was featured on NBC's Starting Over, TLC's Ten Years Younger, Style Network's How Do I Look, and SOAP NET'S Soap Talk. Andy has also appeared on hundreds of local networks doing various style segments. In this episode, we invite wonder of Curated Styles by Adrienne and Chic Essentials Boutique Adrienne Russel to share her journey as an entrepreneur with us. After spending years of finding her own voice through fashion, Adrienne now helps other women do the same through her fashion boutique and styling businesses. So join Anya and Adrienne as they chat about pursuing your passions, the evolution of the fashion industry, and overcoming self-doubt as an entrepreneur. About Adrienne Adrienne Russell is a DMV-based Personal Brand Stylist, Fashion Boutique owner, Style Expert, Wife, and Mom of 3. As a healthcare professional of over 15 years by day, having a deep passion for serving and helping others has always come naturally. After experiencing poor treatment, judgment, and shame in a clothing boutique 20 years ago due to her curvy figure, Adrienne decided to create a space & place where women could feel empowered, confident, and beautiful regardless of their size. Chic Essentials Boutique was launched in April 2019 and proudly caters to women of Duffy shapes and sizes with the motto “celebrating all women, all shapes, and all sizes.” Adrienne quickly identified a style gap in her boutique customer base of women who needed more intensive styling services, style strategy, and implementation in their wardrobe. These women were experiencing lifestyle shifts, upward movement professionally, and building BRANDS. Curated Styles By Adrienne launched in Oct 2020 and was created with the female entrepreneur in mind. Adrienne provides a suite of Personal Brand Styling services where she teaches female entrepreneurs how to elevate their personal and brand style according to their body shape, lifestyle, and budget. Adrienne's ultimate style promise is to help women find style clarity, reclaim their time, get dressed without stress, and get back to focusing on life's priorities. KEY POINTS / MAIN TAKEAWAYS: Adrienne's entrepreneurial and fashion journey. The inspiration and mission behind Chic Essentials Boutique. Diversity and inclusivity in the fashion industry. Balancing your personal, family, and business lives. The importance of being selfish and setting boundaries. Finding your voice and power through fashion. QUOTABLES: “No woman should ever have to feel like they can't put on a certain piece of clothing and they can't feel confident and they can't feel beautiful.” “We're pointing the finger at everyone else for why we look this way, why we're acting this way, why we're treating other people this way, when in fact, it's because we decided not to put ourselves first, and you have to take ownership over that.” PRODUCTS / RESOURCES: Shop Chic Essentials Boutique at https://chicessentialsboutique.com/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/chicessentialsboutique/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/chicessentialsboutique/ Visit the Curated Styles by Adrienne website at https://www.curatedstylesbyadrienne.com/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/curatedstylesbyadrienne/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/curatedstylesbyadrienne/ Follow Anya on social media: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/itsanyaday/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/itsanyaday/ Or visit her website here: https://www.findyourvoiceandownit.com/ Like what you're hearing?
