Jason looks ahead to the weekend at Tampa Bay and is joined by Kellie Reilly for our International Radar segment.
Frank isn't happy with the gas policy of car rental agencies, but Eddie has a life hack that he might want to try. The NFL regular season wrapped up with most things decided before Week 18, but a statement win for the Seattle Seahawks secured them the 1 seed in the NFC, and the Carolina Panthers snuck into the playoffs despite losing to Tampa Bay. Myles Garrett broke the regular-season sack record, but Eddie isn't sure that the Browns should have been allowed to celebrate on the field, and he's even more upset by the Bills helping Josh Allen to maintain his starting streak. Plus Arsenal moved further ahead in the Premier League after Manchester City dropped points against Chelsea.
In “How a Humble Crab Dish Became the Soul of Tampa,” Gravy producer Nicole Hutcheson travels across Tampa to trace the story of a lesser-known local dish—crab chilau. Every city has a dish that says something true about the people who built it. In Tampa, that dish is crab chilau. Made with blue crabs and simmered in tomatoes, garlic, spices, and served over pasta, crab chilau is shaped by Sicilians, Cuban and Afro-Cuban families, and Tampa's Black community—each group adding a twist to make it their own. Hutcheson's journey travels from historic Ybor City to rapidly gentrifying corridors of the city, and even knee-deep into the marshy waters of Tampa Bay. Along the way, she meets the people carrying crab chilau forward today: Enzo Pardo, a Sicilian chef reimagining the dish through his own heritage; Jesus Puerto, a Tampa native who returned home after decades away to stake his claim; and Reggie Nelson, an enterprising businessman and chef building a name for himself while preserving a culinary legacy rooted in community. Listeners hear first-hand how crab chilau isn't a single recipe. Instead it's what happens when different cultures, customs, and lived experiences come together in the same pot and city. No one version is the same—some are spicier, some brown the sauce until it resembles a stew. Others keep it closer to a sofrito. Add-ins like ground beef, smoked sausage, and snow crab aren't deviations; they're evidence of a dish built to evolve and feed a crowd. Through personal encounters in kitchens, restaurants, and the outdoors, Hutcheson shares how crab chilau reflects the way Tampa's food culture itself was built: informally, collaboratively, and without a singular owner. From cooks freestyling the pot to meals designed to nourish entire neighborhoods, the dish tells a larger story about gathering, creativity, and culture. Crab chilau is a living record of how cultures meet and adapt. Listeners will walk away from this episode with a deeper sense of Tampa's identity and place in the American South. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers barely survive a 16-14 win in rainy conditions, but it was far from convincing. Missed opportunities and conservative play calling kept this game closer than it should have been. Now the Bucs need help in the NFC South, as a Saints win over the Falcons is required for Tampa Bay to claim the division title. We are live taking your calls and reacting with Bucs fans.

Munaf Manji and SleepyJ talk NFL player props for week 18 Munaf Manji and SleepyJ closed the regular season with a focused breakdown of NFL Week 18 player props, emphasizing motivation, usage, and matchup dynamics in a slate defined by uncertainty. They opened with quarterback angles, highlighting Jared Goff under passing yards due to Detroit injuries and a run heavy approach, while backing C J Stroud over his number against Indianapolis based on a consistent history of strong production and recent defensive struggles by the Colts. At running back, SleepyJ returned to Bucky Irving over rushing yards against Carolina, citing Tampa Bay offensive line issues and the need to take pressure off Baker Mayfield, while Manji supported Derrick Henry over rushing attempts in a division deciding game, pointing to recent workload trends and Baltimore reliance on the ground game. Wide receiver discussion centered on Marquez Valdez Scantling over a modest yardage total, driven by increased targets and roster absences that force Pittsburgh to throw, with alternate yardage milestones also discussed. Tight end props followed, including Mitchell Evans over receptions for Carolina in a likely negative game script, and Juwan Johnson over receiving yards for New Orleans as injuries funnel targets his way. Touchdown markets featured Colson Loveland for Chicago based on red zone usage, along with Rico Dowdle and Chigoziem Okonkwo as incentive and matchup driven options. The episode concluded with a best bet on George Kittle over receiving yards in a high stakes matchup, supported by his recent consistency, explosive plays, and central role in the San Francisco offense as teams jockey for playoff seeding. It all comes down to this! The Carolina Panthers (8-8) head to Raymond James Stadium to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-9) this Saturday, Jan. 3, 2026, at 4:30 PM EST. With the NFC South title and the No. 4 seed on the line, the stakes couldn't be higher for this national broadcast on ABC and ESPN.In this preview, we break down:The Playoff Path: Carolina clinches the division with a win or a tie. If Tampa Bay wins, they must wait for a Saints victory over the Falcons on Sunday to officially secure their fifth straight division crown.Week 16 Rematch: We revisit the first meeting where Carolina secured a 23-20 victory, highlighted by a game-sealing interception from rookie Lathan Ransom following a miscommunication between Baker Mayfield and Mike Evans. The Mayfield vs. Young Matchup: Bryce Young looks to overcome a 4-19 career road record, while a physically compromised Baker Mayfield attempts to lead his team through a four-game losing streak despite shoulder and knee injuries.Stat Benchmarking: We look at the data from teamrankings.com, specifically Tampa Bay's struggling 30th-ranked red-zone defense (68.3% TD rate allowed) against Carolina's 13th-ranked unit.Injury Updates: Latest on the availability of Pro Bowl tackle Tristan Wirfs and the cleared status of Panthers running back Rico Dowdle. Can Dave Canales lead the Panthers to a "worst-to-first" finish against his former team, or will the Buccaneers' dynasty hold strong?
Sean Levine and Jim Rodriguez elaborate on their thoughts entering Week 18's NFL games that will determine the final outcome in the NFC South, AFC North and NFC West, as the Panthers travel to Tampa Bay, while the Steelers host the Ravens and the 49ers host the Seahawks.
Sean Levine and Jim Rodriguez play an NBA Version of Bet it or Forget it, as they speak on a handful of teams around the league and whether or not they are worth a bet in a multitude of different markets, including if the Nikola Jokic injury can actually help the Denver Nuggets?! Then, we elaborate on their thoughts entering Week 18's NFL games that will determine the final outcome in both the NFC South, AFC North and NFC West, as the Panthers travel to Tampa Bay, while the Steelers host the Ravens and the 49ers host the Seahawks. The hour wraps with a question of if the wrong team is favored when it comes to tomorrow's tilt between Oregon and Texas Tech. Plus, why one of us is confident in Indiana rolling Alabama, and will Ole Miss get their revenge on Georgia?
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are a far cry from the team that started 6–2 with wins over the Seahawks and 49ers. This group is getting worse, not better, and Todd Bowles does not appear to have the answers. After the loss in Miami, Bowles now sits at 34–33 as head coach, with losing records in two of his four seasons. Now the Bucs no longer control their own fate. Even a win over the Panthers may not be enough, as Tampa Bay needs the Saints to beat a Falcons team coming off a big primetime win over the Rams. If Atlanta wins, the Bucs are eliminated, and the NFC South crown goes to Carolina in what would be a messy and underwhelming finish to the season.

The Rams lost to the Falcons last night and it did alter the path for the Seahawks as they can now only get the 1 or 5 seed in the NFC, the 6th is off the board, so thank you Atlanta! That means, the playoff path either runs through Seattle or starts in Tampa Bay or Carolina, which seems like a better option that Philly or Chicago! :30- Sam Darnold isn't playing as well as he did in the first half of the season and that's the bigger concern for Hugh Millen, not the turnovers. The offense was humming for awhile and the Darnold to JSN connection had everyone talking, but it's fallen off in the second half of the season. We don't need Darnold to carry the team to the Super Bowl on his back, but we do need him to play better to get there. :45- It's our final show of 2025- do we believe in New year's resolutions? The Eagles won in Buffalo. That should be a good thing and on paper it is but in execution it was pathetic. This game was almost a carbon copy of what they did 3 months ago against the Bucs which shows you the two guys in charge of running the Eagles offense have learned no lessons. My thoughts on whatever that second half on offense was and another fantastic 55 minutes of defense.https://sportspyder.com/nfl/philadelphia-eagles/news?pid=4349
Aaron Rodgers said he is confident the Steelers will beat the Ravens and go to the playoffs. Around the NFL. The Bengals crushed the Cardinals. If the draft was today the Steelers would pick 20th, again. Tampa Bay is falling apart. The Patriots crushed the New York Jets. The Seahawks beat the Panthers and could claim the No. 1 seed.
The Carolina Panthers' offense hit a wall in Charlotte today as they fell 27-10 to a dominant Seattle Seahawks defense. What started as a gritty 3-3 defensive battle at the half completely unraveled in the third quarter after back-to-back turnovers gave Sam Darnold and Zach Charbonnet all the help they needed to seal the game. Bryce Young was held to just 54 passing yards, and while he found the end zone with his legs, the 1-of-11 third-down efficiency tells the real story. In this video, we're breaking down the turning points, including that deflating Jaycee Horn facemask penalty and the season-ending injury to Ja'Tavion Sanders. We also look ahead to next week's "win-and-in" scenario against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Is the NFC South still within reach? Let's talk about it.
Send us a textIn this episode of Brewstilled, I'm recapping week 17 for the 2025 NFL season. For week 17, we're one week away from the end of the regular season with the playoffs coming.
