Cindy, Lise and Mike teach on these words.
Matthew 7:24-28The Sermon on the Mount ends with people in awe. More than just at the beauty of Jesus' words, but at the gravity surrounding Him—the Authority He carries, the Life He is. His final Word rings out as a definitive Statement of Truth: Life is in Me.If Life is in you, if you are built on The Rock, then you will know a Life that is unhindered and unassailable. Everything else is burning up to reveal the always remaining Truth.
I was feeling good today. Wanted to speak about MY truths and healing journey. Maybe I can help others. That's the goal for ME. It's one of MY love languages. I want to see the best in people and for that to happen. I have to speak up about my journey and process. Even if I have to speak about unfavorable parts of my story. Trust me, the LAST thing I want to be doing is telling everyone my business. Especially, the dark parts. The parts MOST will not speak about. I'm going to speak about because I want to help on a molecular level. I want to help you find the version of yourself that is genuinely happy and comfortable, on and in ALL levels of life. If the foundation is solid, who knows where you can go and be. I believe in you BUT YOU got to believe in you. I love you.

She has worked in several major fields within Real Estate for 35 years. She has been married 40 years, with five grown children and three grandsons. Her desire to understand the true meanings of the Bible and thus how to live and love well because of truly understanding God's written word were born out of her own painful experiences with church leaders where scriptures were badly interpreted to the point that the “Gospel” was not Good News at all. And yet, Jesus kept drawing her back to the Bible with that beautiful promise that “Jesus (really) is the Way, Truth & Life and that the Truth (really) will set us free!” In her professional life, research is the backbone of valuation. “Just the Facts, Ma'am.” (Reference: The old Dragnet TV series quote). Determined to know what the Truth is, even if she didn't like it, she applied her research skills for the past 20 years to learn how to learn what the Bible meant to tell us. “You will know the truth and the truth will set you _______.” Many of us may be able to finish that quote, but do we know what context it is used in? Or the bigger question may be, where can one find real truth today? This teaching will answer both of those questions, but more importantly, will show us that real freedom is still available to us today. Featuring the lead singles Nights in Atlanta, Set the Bar and Grey Hairs, he is giving his fans his long awaited 13th album. Emanuel says his goal with this self-titled album is to expand the sound of CHH, “As amazing as it is, I think it's a bit pigeonholed sonically. I think we live in sonic echo chambers. I just like to always agitate things a little bit and I think this album does that.” One of his biggest records to date, he enjoyed bringing a few of his friends along for the ride to collaborate. “This is a sonic journey through my entire career.” Be sure to follow The Corelink Solution on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter to join the conversation. "They either aren't living their truth, or they aren't sure what their truth really is and they feel like something is off and they aren't sure why, or they recently decided to live their truth and are navigating all the uncertainty, and judgement and fear that comes with that," says Ellen. If you aren't living your truth in life, love, or in your relationships, Ellen will show you how to work through the fear of figuring it out.*New Episodes on Thursdays*Shop the Fuck Fear Boutique at catenya.com

The search for the truth now what I've noticed about a lot of people is that they hate to change all my god they hate change people hate when things change don't they ever right don't ever hate when people come in things change is worst is the worst oh my god you know putting ketchup on a burger anymore oh my god you're using a different Bonner only got your serve Grecian bred anymore or the only god changes you change that only got change change change durable I can't stand it why can't things stay the same. There is no life without change and change their life because once you get past life, things start changing, and even then, things change. And it's like do you think that nothing's going to happen after the election hello some is going to happen in the next thing's going to happen in this are going to happen constant Lee things are happening all the time as long as we are alive there is change as long as we are in this world there is change. You have to see change as part of life, and then if you want to maintain a connection with life, you have to change your mindset so you understand that. It would help if you embraced change to embrace the life you cannot embrace life without embracing change now. And you have to see you, so am I going to freak out when all these things happen, or am I going to take these things in stride because I understand that life is change and I might not like some of these changes they're coming along I may not like I maybe I may hate some of these changes.
The search for the truth now I ask you this call within we're going to go away we're going to finally stop wearing masks when we can yet stop social distancing when we can finally stop doing all those things I mean what has to happen what metric do we need to hit before people can say you know let's go back to normal because if you ask me this we've already hit that metric we've already hit the metric in the survivability rate of this thing, I think it's way below many many things I think it's like way down it's like near surviving Kearns's only others there's surviving HIV there's it's so low. I mean, I went to the farmer's market today, and everybody's wearing the freaking mask. Do we need to continue wearing masks? I think now is the time for us to go ahead and get rid of our masks and get rid of the social distancing and go back to normal, but why don't we do that? To control us, and they're going to maintain that control as much as they possibly can because once they let go of that control, I mean the reality is that we are allowing them to control us we can take these masks off and stop social distancing anytime you want I don't think any of us are social distancing I mean when was the last time you were in the location with other people did you stay 6 feet away from somebody else I bet you didn't want six people didn't wait 6 feet away from you so what's left is the masks we've got to get rid of these mass we have to go back to being normal again. I am eager to take that chance, so those willing to take that chance to be my guest. Keep wearing a mask, but don't mandate the damn things for everybody else who thinks you know what I'm okay I don't need it anymore I am willing to take the risk in effect is not the whole point of living life is a risk. There's always going to be risking life if there's still going to be risking life. Then you have to weigh those risks against living your life. When I'm trying to make is that life is an okay risk, life is a risk. I think we've way past the point where this whole covert thing is gotten to such a low, low chance that we can all start taking off our masks in getting back to normal if you disagree, that's fine.
TRUTH: Life is hard, and you will be tempted to quit. In this lesson, we unpack 7 ways to stay in the fight.-As men, there is so much potential for leadership: our families, at our jobs, within our communities... But while God has strategically positioned us to lead, we first have to effectively lead OURSELVES!Over these six lessons, we will unpack the truths of the book of Nehemiah and how they apply to our everyday lives. We will talk about how Nehemiah led by example, and how the Jews accomplished their goal - despite great opposition - under his leadership.
Saying yes to our dreams requires us to take a leap but that leap should be strategic. Deciding to "go forth" is the thing that many struggles with. There are so many questions that come to mind and opposition that rises up after you commit to a yes. So how do you keep from leaping into a pit? Look at your past! Often times the things we have overcome or endured have created the tools we need to take that leap forward. The feeling of fear will always attempt to override your yes. For Carla, it happened when she had an idea that she hesitated when it was time to take that leap. She sidestepped the assignment and found herself in a really challenging situation. It brought her to a place where she had to make a decision to trust the plans of God or to follow the suggestions of those she surrounded herself with. How many of you can relate to being that space? The enemy is watching to see if you will take the leap. When you take that leap be mindful of these types of people.~ People that will try to take advantage of you ~ People that are a distraction ~ People that question your leap This will be the time when your prayers are truly your weapon. Forgiveness will be necessary as you begin to see how people act and react to your leap. Walking in bitterness will sabotage the leap that you are about to take. It can become something will tale the focus off of your goals. Also, be mindful of pride and arrogance that rises up when you are preparing to leap. Carla shared that these were some of the things that she endured when she was taking her leap. Prepare for the leap:Prayer Write it down Ask questions Check your circle Be willing to shiftNurturing the seeds and harvest that you will notice when you are taking that leap. The things that you do not have God will send someone to show up with it. Don't allow yourself to get stuck in your past. Your greatest life is not there. That goes for anyone who may have thought they their leap is delayed or detoured. Don't compare your journey and life with the journey and life of others. You don't know what the leap in their life cost them. (It may not always be a God-inspired leap) God is able to restore any time lost so don't watch the clock when it is time to leap. Carla DeBro worked as an inner-city school teacher for over 22 years. However, last year God spoke to her about the importance of leaping to start her own business. Although God spoke to her, she had her own plans on how things should be. Until she began to listen to God, she was only spinning her wheels and getting nowhere. Carla believes in the power of God and His willingness to save us from our own destruction. She is an aspiring author and businesswoman who asks God for His guidance daily. Her resent manuscript Hell Bound on the Sex and Drug Express has been accepted by a well known Christian publisher. Carla knows this confirms what God has placed in her heart to share with others. It's time to change and recognize the spiritual battle that we are in.Social Media Handles (LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.)Truth - Life's Secrets (Facebook)Ruth DeBro (Linkedin)

This is part one of a two-part episode; the remainder of this interview will be released on our next episode. J. Brent Bill J. Brent Bill is a Quaker minister, retreat leader, and photographer. He's written more than twenty books, including Holy Silence: The Gift of Quaker Spirituality and Beauty, Truth, Life, and Love: Four Essentials for the Abundant Life. He lives on Ploughshares Farm, which is forty acres of former farmland being reclaimed to tall grass prairie and native hardwood forest. Finding rhythms of silence throughout our days, our ordinary day, really returns us to center, returns us to God, and keeps us centered. — J. Brent Bill Cassidy Hall and J. Brent Bill In writing, especially, I need the centeredness of silence, especially in the editing stages, to say 'Is this the right word? What am I conveying here, and am I conveying it in such a way that it can be heard? And the only way I can do that is to look at the words in silence. And I do regard my writing as a form of worship, in an exploration, too, in worship of where God is leading me. — J. Brent Bill Some of the resources and authors we mention in this episode: J. Today’s guest joins us on the show for the fourth time. Susan Piver is the New York Times best-selling author of eight books, and the founder of The Open Heart Project, a completely virtual meditation center. Today, she and Charlie discuss the four noble truths of love, which is also the title of her new book. They also talk about how to minimize the suffering and discomfort that are part of all relationships. Key Takeaways: [2:40] - Susan’s new book is The Four Noble Truths of Love. This book presents a teaching that Susan made up, rather than her previous books that present Buddhist teachings. [5:15] - The four noble truths of love are based on the four noble truths in Buddhism, and reconfigured to apply to intimate relationships. The core of the book is about how to sustain relationships and give love. It is about the action of relationships. [8:10] - A relationship and a love affair are not the same thing. We assume our love affairs will turn into relationships, and our relationships will remain love affairs; unfortunately, this isn’t always the case. It’s important to identify which one you and your partner are doing, and not apply the same rules and expectations to both. [10:10] - The four noble truths in Buddhism are: 1) “The Truth” - Life is suffering. 2) “The Cause of Suffering” - Pretending that the first noble truth is not true. 3) “The Sensation of Suffering” - Now that you know what you’re doing to cause suffering, you can stop it. 4) The Eightfold Path - Eight things you do every day to bring about sensation of suffering. [12:00] - When Susan applied these four noble truths to her love life, she came up with her own four noble truths of love: 1) Relationships are uncomfortable - They never stabilize. 2) Thinking that relationships should be comfortable and stable is actually what causes more discomfort and instability than anything else. 3) Meeting that discomfort and instability together is love. 4) Three steps to achieve finding this love. [16:05] - Often in relationships we expect things to go a certain way, and when they don’t, that is where the suffering comes from. They don’t have to be big things; the day to day things can cause a tremendous amount of irritation. It’s important to notice these things, and pay attention to the suffering without making it more powerful than it is. [21:22] - What is most frightening to another person in a relationship is when we sense unconsciousness on the part of our partner. Mindfulness is key. The more awareness we can express, the better, especially about things you know your partner cares about. [28:05] - When the small things start to build up and become too much, that’s when we can return to the four noble truths of love. The closer we are with someone, the more our lives mix, and the less we are able to see them. The way we talk to ourselves mixes with the way we talk to the other person. And the person we love most often hears this voice as much as we do ourselves. The more you can espouse a kind voice in the way you talk to yourself, the more it will be heard by your partner as well. [30:35] - Charlie talks about the idea of how we form superorganisms in tight relationships. Meditation and mindfulness can be a reminder that we are our own beings with our own separate ways. The key thing to develop is awareness on three levels: you, your partner, and the both of you together (me, you, us). [36:50] - Buddhism is a doing/ practicing religion. In her book The Four Noble Truths of Love, Susan applied this to five steps to development and the eightfold path of love. The five steps are a way to develop confidence. Susan translated them into how they can apply to two people. The five steps are: 1) Clean up your room. 2) Eat good food/Share food today. 3) Pay attention to the way you look. 4) Spend more time together with people who you like and who like you. 5) Spend time together in the natural world. Doing these five things helps build a container for love that attracts love. [45:55] - The fourth noble truth of love has three components. The first type of qualities are foundational qualities (good manners and honesty). The second type of quality is called openness (the other person has equal importance to yourself in your relationship). The third quality is going beyond conventional view (look at all that happens between you and your partner as a way to deepen intimacy). [48:30] - Susan’s invitation/ challenge for listeners is to experience your deepest longings for love without a storyline attached to them. Just feel the longing; the longing is good.
