FUBU, BRAVO, P.Diddy, BET ~National Suicide Prevention Week is an annual week-long campaign in the United States to inform and engage health professionals and the general public about suicide prevention and warning signs of suicide.A Noted Film Director, Hezues R, who's worked with the likes of Sean P. Diddy Combs and Ciroc Vodka, Russell Simmons on successful media campaigns, plans to address the issue of mental health, through a movie called "Suicide Saint". Through all of this madness is one issue that has plagued people of color with very few having the courage to address – mental health. The World Health Organization (WHO) states over 800,000 people commit suicide every year – that's one person every forty seconds. Also, the National Council for Behavioral Health notes that 46% of adults in the USA experience mental illness. In communities of color, according to the non-profit community organization, Mental Health America, out of 13% of Black Americans in the USA (according to the Census Bureau), 16% reported having mental illness – that's over 7 million people (more than the overall populations of Chicago, Philadelphia and Houston combined). Finally, the Center for Disease Control published that suicides and attempted suicides cost the nation almost $70 billion per year in lifetime medical and work-loss costs alone. Not many filmmakers have been honored by one President of the United States, let alone two. Then again Hezues R isn't your average filmmaker, as none other share the combination of his adversity and accolades , all the more reason why the entertainment industry is taking notice of this film protégé's next project, which he claims will be his masterpiece: SUICIDE SAINT.If you know Hezues R, then you've likely been inspired, as his own life is bigger than a movie. At 22 years old, he survived a barrage of bullets fired at him point blank 22 times by three would-be assailants His survival is nothing short of a miracle but still not as miraculous as his meteoric rise in entertainment - from high school dropout and drug dealer to self-made creative titan. No college, mentor, backers or connections - just a relentless work ethic and pure undeniable talent. From creating the official fragrance for the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton to running Sean P. Diddy Combs' advertising campaigns (Ciroc, Sean John , Deleon) as an executive producer, while finding creative ways to give back and interject social impact in his content, like the critically acclaimed film, “April Showers.” With suicide rates rapidly increasing and almost half of adults experiencing mental illness, Hezues R declares that “Rome is burning and as a society we're not giving enough concern to the media we create - which influences how we see ourselves and each other” His mission is to save lives by making the film “Suicide Saint” and in the process, change the protocol of Hollywood. Hezues R believes in art over algorithms and that films shouldn't just be made for profit but the added value of social good and the sake of creating something beautiful and inspiring. Hezues R gained fast followers, such as the United Nations, as they've selected his upcoming film as the sole movie they're endorsing in the International 40 Days Safer Cities initiative- with “Suicide Saint” being day #20 which also falls on Oct 10th - World Mental Health Day.© 2023 Building Abundant Success!!2023 All Rights ReservedJoin Me on ~ iHeart Media @ https://tinyurl.com/iHeartBASJoin me on Spotify: https://tinyurl.com/yxuy23baAmazon Music ~ https://tinyurl.com/AmzBASAudacy: https://tinyurl.com/BASAud

What makes films memorable and meaningful? Great cinematographers are not only translators of a director's vision but are involved in a dance between director and actor. When combined with personal techniques like handheld, the camera itself can become a character, bringing us back in time and behind the eyes of well-known figures like Van Gogh and Stephen Hawking, which is what Benoît Delhomme did in the films At Eternity's Gate and The Theory of Everything.Benoît Delhomme studied cinematography at the École nationale supérieure Louis-Lumière and went on to make his breakthrough as a director of photography for the movie The Scent of Green Papaya directed by Tran Anh Hung. The film went on to win the Caméra d'Or Award at the Cannes Film Festival and was nominated for an Academy Award. Benoît has established himself as an international cinematographer and has worked with creatives such as Al Pacino, Julian Schnabel, and James Marsh. Over the years, Benoît Delhomme has worked on a wide array of films where his focus has been to tell a strong story through the visual. This focus has shined not only through his work as a cinematographer, but also his work as a painter."If you want to do your art well, you need to have some pleasure. If talking is not a pleasure, it's horrible. And when filming on a set is a bad experience, it's one of the worst things in life. As a cinematographer, if you can't make what you do personal to you, there is no soul. You need to make it personal.I don't know if Julian Schnabel trusted me, and I had to prove myself. For example, he had another guy in mind. And for many weeks, he said to me, 'Maybe we should keep two cinematographers?' And one evening he said, 'I'm going to paint in my outdoor studio tonight if you want to come.' And, I went to see him painting and brought a small digital camera. And he had music on and was doing this incredible painting. I was kind of fascinated to be there. We didn't talk. He knew I was filming him. He didn't say anything. So I spent part of the night cutting my small documentary. And in the morning at breakfast, I put my computer on the breakfast table and showed it to him, and he was so focused and very moved by what he saw. And he said, 'Okay, you captured what I was doing. You've got the film.'"www.benoitdelhomme.comwww.benoitdelhommestudio.comwww.instagram.com/benoitdelhommewww.creativeprocess.infowww.oneplanetpodcast.orgIG www.instagram.com/creativeprocesspodcast

Ben Pellom of Georgia to discuss ET is HERE! He will offer up his theories in his 2 domains/websites called ET IS HERE and PELLOM PLANETARY RESEARCH; Ben Pellom, U.S. Navy Retired. In the past, I have worked as a real estate agent, in art development, and taught banjo and guitar. I now devote much of my time to researching the planets, including the earth and moons, for signs of extraterrestrial life. I decided some time back to immerse myself in all things UFO and extraterrestrial to find out for myself whether they actually do exist. Using the various NASA satellite imagery resources listed below I have amassed a sizable amount of surface images that point to intelligent life and design on a majority of the planets and moons in our solar system. I have reached the point that there is not the slightest doubt in my mind that intelligent life and design do indeed exist on the planets and moons including earth. Research is ongoing for further discoveries. Anyone taking the time to look through my websites, PellomPlanetaryResearch.com and ETisHere.com can see for themselves that there is intelligent life about everywhere. NEW SEASON! NEW START! Guest: Tim Porter, Artist Director and Founder of Tweed and Company Theatre Taking inspiration from the show business motto, "the show must go on!" Hybla Minute is back! And this time it's all about the show as it concerns Bancroft's Village Playhouse. Under the new direction of Tweed and Company Theatre and its Artist Director, Tim Porter, the Village Playhouse is undergoing many good changes and we talk about them and also how the pandemic effected, not only Tweed and Company, but theatre in general. With the light at the end of the pandemic tunnel (we hope), theatre is a wonderful way to gather again and fall under the magic of everything theatrical. With an ambitious and exciting season ahead of them and the what the plans for the new theatre, Bancroft has gotten a lot sexier. And there is a quiz and a giveaway. We're excited to announce that the winner of the free ticket to see local hero opera soprano Hannah Crawford perform is JOEY SHULMAN! So excited that Joey won, because he's mentioned in the podcast - big news! And the Quiz. I can't believe I won! Tim did his best, but it was a gratifying win all the same. Here are the questions that Tim didn't get and I had to look up later. 1) Dora Mavor Moore Mavor is her name before she married. It's not a middle name. 2) The oldest theatre in Canada according to Wikipedia: The Royal Alexandra Theatre, commonly known as the Royal Alex, is a theatre in Toronto, Ontario, located near King and Simcoe Street. Built in 1907, the 1,244-seat Royal Alex is the oldest continuously operating legitimate theatre in North America. The Annapolis Basin in Nova Scotia served as the cradle for both French and English language theatre in Canada. Théâtre de Neptune, performed in 1606, was the first European theatre production in North America. The tradition of English theatre in Canada also started at Annapolis Royal. In Fort Anne, Nova Scotia, plays were produced for Prince of Wales' birthday. George Farquhar's The Recruiting Officer was produced on Saturday, 20 January 1733 to celebrate the birthday of Frederick, Prince of Wales. The music from today is a piano roll version of Scott Joplin's The Entertainer. Because? Thank you for listening to Hybla Minute and thank you to my guest Tim Porter. Great to be back! Renowned fine art and commercial photographer/director Tim Tadder joins the podcast to talk about his journey in photography and how he went from building an extremely successful commercial studio to finding himself disillusioned with the industry and work, and his subsequent transition into the fine art world as well as NFT space. During our conversation Tim talks about what it was like growing up in Baltimore as the son of a professional photographer who wanted something more for his son than a life in the arts, and how that ultimately helped developed a work ethic and drive that would propel Tim into the world of commercial photography and help him create not only a name for himself, but a look that would be copied by many. We also talk about how he's recently reevaluated his goals and desires in life and realized that he lost track of what made him fall in love with photography in the first place, and how he's been able to make the transition into creating meaningful art that finds it's way onto the walls of art collectors and investors alike. He was Oscar nominated for co-writing Ratatouille, and his personal short film is in the permanent collection at the Museum of Modern Art. I talk with him about his career path from Cal Arts all the way through to what he's up to now. Jim has a laid back, affable personality, so chatting with him was a joy and the time flew by. In this episode of the Art of Authenticity, we are joined by the wonderful Jacqueline Sinclair! Jacqueline is the Artist Director at Joel Hall Dancers in Chicago and has pursued a life in dance as long as she can remember. We chat all about her journey to this point and the decisions she made along the way that have defined her. We also talk about finding the passion for dance in high school and her early and instinctual attraction to jazz. Jacqueline repeatedly says that from that age she ‘just knew' that dance is what she wanted to do and had to find a way to make this a reality. This ‘knowing' that she refers to is difficult to pinpoint but is also something ever-present in her life. She does identify the intuitive feeling and the influence that the act of dancing had on this intuition and she had serious epiphanies while actually dancing, accessing trance-like states and what she calls her sweaty realizations. For a tremendously inspiring conversation, be sure to join us!
