Today returning on Sense of Soul we have Padma Aon Prakasha he is an evolutionary catalyst and wisdom author bringing together ancient wisdom and modern science. Padma's books, music and multimedia are drawn from the traditions he has been initiated into. His books include: The Power of Shakti, Womb Wisdom, Sacred Relationships (Inner Traditions), The Christ Blueprint, The Nine Eyes of Light: Ascension Keys from Egypt (NAB/Random House), Dimensions of Love, Shiva's Hologram: The Maheshwara Sutra and The Science of Sound (O Books). Since 1997 he has presented, lectured and taught in 20 countries worldwide.  After being initiated into the Brahmin lineage at age 4, he read the Bhagavad Gita followed by the Bible at age 7 and a whole host of spiritual teachings by age 11. When he was 21 he had an experience of the AUM and God Consciousness that changed his life forever, followed by a direct and unexpected meeting with Christ Yeshua. Shortly after this, Padma was initiated in India through a Near Death Experience in Badrinath by Master Babaji, and into the Saivite Lineage in Kedarnath. Further Initiations into Saivite Tantra and the RK Veda through the Arunachala Sampradaya and Ganesha followed. Padma was also Initiated into Tibetan Tantras through female teachers Prem Prabhuta and Margot Anand, and is an Initiate in the Order of Melchizedek. Padma's most powerful ‘formal' Initiations came through Sri Om, an Awakened teacher in London from the Lineage of Buddha Maitreya, associated with the enlightened wisdom of many traditions. After this, Padma sat in Samadhi, the highest form of bliss meditation, for two months, 16 hours a day. Samadhi activates the pineal gland and many dormant gifts within us, which Padma then demonstrated through his numerous books, workshops and transmissions over the ensuing years. https://padmaaon.com Visit www.senseofsoulpodcast.com

After an exhaustive 400-hour operation, a collective sigh of relief swept through the nation as rescuers successfully reached the 41 workers who had been trapped in the Uttarkashi tunnel since November 12. The Char Dham National Highway Project, launched in December 2016, aimed to improve connectivity to the pilgrimage sites of Kedarnath, Badrinath, Yamunotri, and Gangotri—all nestled in the Himalayas. This Rs.12,000 crore project spans approximately 889 kilometres through the Himalayan region. Despite its lofty goals, the project exposes critical errors and assumptions in its planning and execution. The collapse of the Silkyara tunnel, while significant, is not an isolated incident but rather a part of a larger tragedy in the making. In this episode of The Suno India Show, reporter Sneha Richhariya speaks to Suresh Bhai, a native of Uttarakhand residing just 30 km from the Silkyara tunnel. He has been advocating for the sensitivity of the Himalayas for decades.See sunoindia.in/privacy-policy for privacy information.

The Big Story

How does a tourism infrastructure project suddenly become a concern of the Ministry of Defence in India? This is the question which every environment activist in the country is asking about the controversial Char Dham Highway Development Project, which has been riddled with ecological violations ever since its construction began in 2016. The Rs 12,000 crore highway expansion project aims to widen nearly 900 kms of hills in Uttarakhand to provide all weather connectivity to the state's four major shrines—Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri—all in the upper Himalayas and all in very ecological sensitive zones. Now, the project from its start had a clear motive to provide easier access to the shrines. But over the years, with each ecological concern raised by activist in the Supremo Court, specifically targeting the petition to widen the roads beyond the Ministry of Roads and Transport 2018 mandate of 5.5 meters, the project has also moved into the ambit of national security. The Ministry of Defense in an affidavit in 2020 claimed that the roads need to be 7 meter wide to ferry essential arms and ammunition to sensitive border areas, given the rising China threat. And while the Supreme Court noted the environment concerns regarding the project, it agreed to the requirements of “national security,” and essentially, set aside its 2020 judgement where it denied the Ministry of Road and Transport the same thing. And activists and NGO's petitioning the widening of the highway project have been baffled by the Supreme Court judgement given that it does provide any credence to what they have been saying for the past few years or the hundreds of landslides which have occurred in the region due to the project. Today Jesus wraps up His final discourse and we see the future of history, get a bit of theology and how eternity impacts living. Notes/Quotes: Matthew 25:31-46 - Anthony Garcia “I can't understand why you missionaries present the Bible to us in India as another book of religion. It is not a book of religion—and anyway we have plenty of books of religion in India already. We don't need any more! I find in your Bible a unique interpretation of universal history, the history of the whole creation and the history of the human race. And therefore a unique interpretation of the human person as a responsible actor in history. That is unique. There is nothing else in the whole religious literature of the world to put alongside of it” Badrinath, Hindu scholar “If we allow the Bible to become fragmented, it is in danger of being absorbed into whatever other story is shaping our culture, and it will thus cease to shape our lives as it should. Idolatry has twisted the dominant cultural story of the secular Western world. If as believers we allow this story (rather than the Bible) to become the foundation of our thought and action, then our lives will manifest not the truths of Scripture, but the lies of an idolatrous culture. Hence, the unity of Scripture is no minor matter: a fragmented Bible may actually produce theologically orthodox, morally upright, warmly pious idol worshippers! - Mike Goheen Deut 15:7-11 Leviticus 19:9-10 Zech 7:8-10 - Proverbs 19:17 - From the beginning, Jesus teaches, world history has been structured with a split ending in view. History ends in either heaven or hell. This double issue is not peripheral to the Gospel of Matthew; it is not a survival of late-apocalyptic Judaism, an alien growth on the love teaching of Jesus. It is so inseparably a part of Jesus' love teaching, as even here in one of Jesus' most loving teachings, that one senses that Jesus' urgency in mission flowed at least in part from a conviction that human life can be ruined. - Dale Bruner If your roots are in Jesus, your fruit will be love. Fruit takes time to grow; it doesn't appear overnight. We don't have to beat ourselves up for not being perfect Jesus-followers the day after we've started walking in his dust. It took the disciples a long time too. But the longer we're planted in God's garden, the deeper our roots grow in his goodness, and the more generosity, joy, and selflessness begin to spring forth from our branches. - Joshua Ryan Butler The book of Revelation offers us the vision of a city which is on the one hand the perfection of all human striving towards beauty, civilization and good order, and on the other hand is the place where every tear is dried and where every one of us knows God face to face, and knows that we are his and he is ours. That is the vision with which the Bible ends, and it is a vision that enables us to see the whole human story and each of our lives within that story as meaningful, and which therefore invites us through Jesus Christ to become responsible actors in history, not to seek to run away from the responsibilities and the agonies of human life in its public dimension. Each of us must be ready to take our share in all the struggles and the anguish of human history and yet with the confidence that what is committed to Christ will in the end find its place in his final kingdom. That means that as I look forward I don't see just an empty void, I don't just see my own death, I don't just see some future utopia in which I shall have no share. The horizon to which I look forward is that day when Jesus shall come, and his holy city will come down as a bride from heaven adorned for her husband. Lesslie Newbigin 1 Corinthians 15:57-58

In this episode: #mountains #valleys #trekking #flowers #nature #hiking #roadtrip #author #Uttarakhand #book #botany #mountaineer #Hemkund #pilgrimage #sikhThis week, The Musafir Stories speaks to Susan Jagannath, a best selling author and traveler as she takes us to the Valley of Flowers, with her new book titled 'The Valley of Flowers - The Ultimate guide to an adventure trek in the upper Himalaya' Today's destination: Valley of Flowers, Uttarakhand!  Nearest Airport: Jolly Grant, Dehradun  Nearest Railway Station: Rishikesh Prerequisites: Physical fitness, carry a form of ID (passport for foreigners) Packing: Pack layers of clothes (warm, rain) along with hiking gear Time of the year: June to September Length of the itinerary: 10 daysItinerary Highlights: - The Valley of Flowers (VoF) is a beautiful monsoon trek to the valley hidden in the heights of Uttarakhand in the Himalayan mountains, filled with carpets flowers, over 500 species that bloom during June - September- Susan heads to the Valley of Flowers with her band of friends in the month of August. The trip inspired Susan to write the book (the only previous book written about this was in the early 1900s by British mountaineer Frank Smythe who discovered this place)- The Valley is very close to Badrinath and the religious circuit of Chota Chardhaam. - Given that the valley is situated at a high altitude (14400 ft), it is imperative that one acclimatizes sufficiently. Hence traveling slowly and stopping over at other interesting places like Auli is a great option. - Gobind Ghat is the road head for the trek. One needs to trek from here to the base village Gangharia. - The Valley of Flowers national park is open only between 7-5PM, so it is advised to head to Gangharia the previous day and rest before heading to the VoF. - It is roughly a 10km trek from Gangharia to the VoF, so you will need to make the trip to the VoF and back the same day as staying there is not allowed. - One can either trek or avail the services of porters or a mule. The porters can carry you in bags called pittoos. - Options for food and lodging are plentiful in Ghangharia and around although the nicer places will need you to book accommodation  in advance. - The Ecocenter in Gangharia has a documentary screening every few hours that gives you information about the flora of the place. There are options to hire local guides from the centre who are very competent and knowledgeable. - Some of the flowers one can find are orchids, poppies, primulas, marigold, daisies, rhododendrons, Himalayan rose, Blue poppy, cobra lily amongst others. Best time is to visit after the monsoons since the flowers are in full bloom. - The Pushpavati river and some smaller streams criss cross as you walk from Gangharia to the VoF where you have to register yourself and pay the fee which is good for 3 days. - Milestones within the park include a big rock (baman pair), a glacier point and the grave of a botanist, Joanne Leigh. One can also trek to Badrinath all the way from the VoF with the help of a guide. - Hemkund Sahib is a separate trek which also starts from Gangharia and leads tot he very sacred Gurudwara Hemkund Sahib. Hemkund Sahib is at a height of over 15,000 ft. So precautions for AMS are necessary. - There is a langar service as well as accommodation for traveler in the Gurudwara. Other options around the area are Auli, Badrinath and the Chota CHardham locations.   Links: Link to the book: The Valley of Flowers: The Ultimate Guide to an Adventure Trek in the Upper Himalaya https://www.amazon.in/Valley-Flowers-Ultimate-Adventure-Himalaya-ebook/dp/B087V3YGTF Link to the blog:https://susanjagannath.com/basic-guide-valley-flowers-2/  Shoutouts: Shabby and Man podcast! https://shabbyandman.podbean.com Follow the Musafir stories on:Twitter : https://twitter.com/musafirstories?lang=enFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/themusafirstories/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/musafirstoriespodcast/?hl=enwebsite: www.themusafirstories.comemail: themusafirstories@gmail.comApple podcasts -  https://apple.co/2LPtTA3 Google podcasts - http://bit.ly/2toY7lj website - http://bit.ly/2xFZqOV Saavn - https://bit.ly/2J5rIqi Spotify - https://spoti.fi/2HLPSVi Gaana - http://bit.ly/2NClUYY pocketcasts - https://bit.ly/2xu3Ewg castbox - https://bit.ly/2sqBDQi Overcast - https://bit.ly/2LN9wnf Stitcher Radio - https://bit.ly/2JiBbhw audioBoom - https://bit.ly/2oZZowS TuneIn - https://bit.ly/2xyQH4a RadioPublic - https://bit.ly/2snY9u0 iHeartradio - https://ihr.fm/2xvOG8R Deezer - https://bit.ly/2L7GmOo
