Chantage en vernedering. Hoe Apple door Trump wordt aangepakt

Opsporing verzocht. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

IntroductionLIVE from a bottomless pit of CEO pay, it's a Business Pants Friday Show here at March 21st Studios, featuring AnalystHole Matt Moscardi. On today's weekly wrap up: Nelson Peltz hates woke ice cream, Self-hating Cybertrucks, and anti-ESG manbabies Our show today is being sponsored by Free Float Analytics, the only platform measuring board power, connections, and performance for FREE.Story of the Week (DR):‘Incompetent:' Jamie Dimon unloads on proxy advisor ISSJamie Dimon said Glass Lewis and Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS) should be “gone and dead and done with”, as he also launched an attack on those who pay for their services. In an interview with Semafor at Blackrock's retirement summit, Mr Dimon said: “Anyone who gives them money – shame on you.”Unilever hit ‘new levels of oppressiveness,' Ben & Jerry's claims as its CEO was sacked over social activismIce cream maker Ben & Jerry's has accused its parent company of firing its CEO David Stever over his support of the brand's progressive politics. On Tuesday, the Vermont-based brand filed an amended complaint in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, alleging that Unilever “has repeatedly threatened Ben & Jerry's personnel, including CEO David Stever, should they fail to comply with Unilever's efforts to silence the Social Mission.”Ben & Jerry's said Unilever informed its board on March 3 that it was removing and replacing Ben & Jerry's CEO David Stever. Ben & Jerry's said that violated its merger agreement with Unilever, which states that any decisions regarding a CEO's removal must come after a consultation with an advisory committee from Ben & Jerry's board.“empowered to protect and defend Ben & Jerry's brand equity and integrity”White man David Stever, 4 women of color (one who is the chair), and two black men. In Vermont? Are they trolling us?!?! I guess it can be done. Unilever board member Nelson Peltz is still trying to find a white actor for Black PantherUnilever has not publicly disclosed a reason for Stever's firingThe ice cream company has a unique corporate structure that was meant to protect its activist mission, even after its 2000 sale to Unilever:Independent Board of Directors: Unlike most Unilever-owned brands, Ben & Jerry's has an independent board specifically tasked with preserving the company's social mission.Merger Agreement Protections: The 2000 acquisition agreement required consultation with the board for key leadership decisions, including hiring or firing the CEO.Social Mission Oversight: The board exists to prevent the dilution of the company's activist identity—something that appears to be under increasing pressure.Ben & Jerry's Founders Say They Stand Behind Ousted CEOBoeing Sued for Wrongful Death by Family of WhistleblowerBoeing pushed John Barnett, who was a quality manager at Boeing for nearly three decades, to his death by harassing and intimidating him after he raised safety concerns about the company's plant building the 787 Dreamliner in Charleston, South Carolina, a wrongful death lawsuit filed in federal court in the state alleges. His family claim in their suit that Boeing responded by carrying out a “campaign of harassment, abuse and intimidation intended to discourage, discredit and humiliate him until he would either give up or be discredited”.In the evening of March 8th last year, Barnett left the law offices of Boeing's outside counsel in Charleston after testifying for two days in the OSHA case. Barnett was giving his account of how Boeing violated its own policies and procedures, and FAA rules, during his seven years as a quality inspector at the North Charleston plant that assembles the 787 Dreamliner. He'd delayed a trip back to his home in Louisiana to finish his deposition the next day, a Saturday. Videos cited in the police report show Barnett leaving the hotel around 8:30 PM, and getting in his Clemson orange, Dodge truck. When Barnett failed to show by the 10 AM starting time for his final round of testimony, Turkewitz called the Holiday Inn to conduct a “welfare check.”Note: “America come together or die!!! Pray that the motherfk…ers who destroyed my life pay!!! I pray that Boeing pays!!! Bury me face down so that Boeing and their lying ass leaders can kiss my ass. I can't do this any longer!!! F-k Boeing!!!'Business has been neglected': Longtime Tesla investor demands Elon Musk resign as CEO MMElon Musk Says He Has No Idea What He Did to Make Everybody So Mad at Him"It's really come as quite a shock to me that there is this level of, really, hatred and violence from the left.""My companies make great products that people love and I've never physically hurt anyone.”“So why the hate and violence against me?”"I always thought that the left, you know, Democrats, were supposed to be the party of empathy, the party of caring, and yet they're burning down cars, they're firebombing dealerships, they're firing bullets into dealerships, they're smashing up Teslas," Musk said. "Tesla is a peaceful company. We've never done anything harmful.""I've never done anything harmful."“Because I am a deadly threat to the woke mind parasite and the humans it controls."Tesla just recalled basically all the Cybertrucks ever sold in AmericaTesla workers in Germany say they don't have time to use the bathroomTesla workers at a German factory say working conditions don't allow them enough time for drinking or bathroom breaks.Over 3,000 workers at a Tesla gigafactory near Berlin have signed a petition asking for more breaks and an end to intimidation from management, according to a statement from German metalworker's union IG Metall.A Huge Amount of Money Is Missing From TeslaEven the company's financials are now sprouting some glaring questions. As the Financial Times reports, a whopping $1.4 billion appears to have vanished in thin air. The enormous hole arises when examining the carmaker's capital expenditures and how those compare to the reported rise of the value of its assets.According to Tesla's cashflow statements, the firm spent $6.3 billion on "purchases of property and equipment excluding finance leases, net of sales" in the second half of 2024. However, its balance sheet claims the gross value of property, plant, and equipment rose by only $4.9 billion — leaving an eyebrow-raising $1.4 billion discrepancy.Musk Set to Receive Top-Secret Briefing on U.S. War Plans for ChinaMusk Tells Tesla Workers: Don't Sell Your SharesTesla board members, executive sell off over $100 million of stock in recent weeksTogether, four top officers at the company have offloaded over $100 million in shares since early February.Last week, longtime Musk ally James Murdoch became the latest to do so, exercising a stock option and selling shares worth approximately $13 million, according to an SEC filing.Elon Musk's brother, Kimbal Musk, who also sits on the board, unloaded 75,000 shares worth approximately $27 million last month, according to a filing. The chairman of the board, Robyn Denholm, has offloaded more than $75 million dollars worth of shares in two transactions in the past five weeks, federal filings show.Goodliest of the Week (MM/DR):DR: Chobani CEO: Why we're now giving all workers at least 12 weeks of parental leaveDR: JD Vance rips globalization, calling cheap labor a 'drug'MM: Tesla Cybertruck deliveries are on hold as trims are flying off the 'bulletproof' truck DRThey recalled ALL of them - imagine if Mary Barra put out a car at GM that, 1 year after releasing, they had to recall ALL of them? Disney's recent financial successes, driven by strategic decisions and successful film releases, are overshadowed by leadership challenges and concerns about the company's future direction under Bob Iger. 00:00 Disney's Q4 2024 earnings showed a 6% revenue increase to $22.6 billion, driven by successful film releases, despite skepticism over Bob Iger's comments on streaming. 02:23 Disney Parks hit record Q4 revenue, but rising prices and competition from Universal's Epic Universe could hurt attendance and vacation choices. 04:33 Bob Iger is praised for Disney's turnaround, especially in movie performance, despite ongoing challenges at Pixar regarding working conditions and management priorities. 07:07 Iger faces criticism for turning Disney into an IP farm, with recent successes credited to the creative team rather than his leadership. 09:01 Bob Iger's return to Disney has been marked by controversial decisions and mismanagement, particularly regarding the transformation of Moana 2 and ongoing corporate battles influenced by Nelson Peltz. 13:22 Bob Iger's controversial decisions, including pricing changes and a failed legal battle, have led to significant challenges for Disney Parks this quarter, despite some praise for his overall leadership. 16:07 Iger's leadership has transformed Disney parks with a focus on IP integration and higher costs, but the recent performance boost is seen as customer gouging, indicating a need for new CEO to tackle persistent challenges. 17:53 Concerns about Disney's future arise from leadership changes, a potential focus on video games, and the need for a creative co-CEO alongside Bob Iger, whose stock sale suggests waning confidence in the company's direction. Disney's pricing strategy and treatment of disabled guests have been criticized, with the Lightning Lane system being used to upcharge disabled visitors instead of offering the DAS pass. Bob Iger's return led to the elimination of the free park pass and introduction of expensive upcharge options like the $500 per person per day "Park Hopper" package. Iger took credit for Disney's creative successes, but was responsible for staff cuts and gutting Pixar, while many creative decisions were made under Bob Chapek's leadership. Iger's personal interests in AI and Canva led to the creation of a new division, despite concerns about his lack of creativity and vision for the company's future. ESPN+ will be consolidated under Disney+ in the future, similar to how Hulu was merged into Disney+. Iger's return to Disney in 2022 was seen as a victory lap, with media praise despite taking credit for Chapek's decisions. Bob Iger overspent on Fox, putting Disney in a perilous position, and made unpopular decisions like removing Rivers of America at Disneyland. Iger's marching orders led to significant price increases and the elimination of free park passes, despite being gone for only two years. Iger prioritized his own ego, worrying about losing the best tables and kissing up to executives rather than focusing on Disney's success. Iger's lack of creative vision and tendency to micromanage led to Disney's current state, despite his ability to negotiate deals. Disney's Q4 2024 earnings showed a 30-39% increase in revenue to $22.6B, with net income doubling to $460M, marking one of their biggest quarterly upswings.

The New York Times dropped a tell-all bombshell on the Walt Disney Company's behind-the-scenes drama, and it makes Bob Iger look like a whiny, petulant control freak. The article, supposedly corroborated by several Disney insiders, paints a very negative picture of Bob Iger, who set Bob Chapek up for failure and led to some DIRE consequences for the Walt Disney Company, such as the loss of Reedy Creek and a board battle with Nelson Peltz. Wall Street Unplugged - What's Really Moving These Markets

I start today's show by looking at the latest Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) Price Index data—which came in better than expected.  Yet, stocks are selling off. Why? I break down what's behind the pullback… why it puts the Fed in a tough spot… and why market conditions are incredibly dangerous right now. Disney's (DIS) annual meeting is today—and shareholders will vote on whether billionaire and major shareholder Nelson Peltz will get two seats on the board. I explain why CEO Bob Iger doesn't want Peltz anywhere near the board… how Disney has resorted to downright illegal actions to try to keep it from happening… and why the SEC will most likely look the other way.   Apple (AAPL) just released its new AI model, ReALM… and it's already outperforming ChatGPT. New Polls Show Trump Winning Easily—Leading Left To Launch Operation RFK TAKEDOWN!

Democrats are increasingly worried as new poll numbers show Donald Trump winning on November 5, 2024. Part of the reason for his expected win stems from the entry of RFK Junior into the race for the presidency. A third-party candidate spells trouble for the left, especially a candidate like RFK. As such Democrats are organizing, a full-on assault against Robert F Kennedy, and his campaign… and it starts either the ladies in ‘The View''. I have the details.    Meanwhile, MSNBC is getting very worried about the success of Donald Trump with the Christian community. His recent foray into Bible, selling with Lee Greenwood, has them quite nearly apoplectic. But, is there any doubt that Trump would double down on religion at a time when the left seems to be doing the exact opposite? I explain   In a shocking shock, yet not shocking, move out of California the state's retirement program is going anti-woke! CALPERS  is siding with Nelson Peltz, the billionaire activist investor who is taking on Bob Iger's management plan at Disney. Pelts represents the opposite of politically correct which is why it's stunning. The CALPERS is willing to vote with him. Capitalism, as I say, should not be political. Investors know what's best for Disney.   And it's probably not smart business to cast the rumored pic for the new lead to replace Johnny Depp, in “Pirates of the Caribbean .” It's been reported that Disney is doing a remake of ‘Pirates of the Caribbean' with the intent on of focusing on the incredible story of Anne Bonney, an Irish woman from Country Cork, Ireland that was a notorious pirate in the 1700s in the Caribbean. But the actress is not Irish. Will this film flop the way Indiana Jones the Little Mermaid, Ant-man and the wasp did in 2023?? Not if if Nelson Peltz has anything to do with it. One day ahead of the critical, Disney vote, I explain.   Meanwhile, who knew P. Diddy was such a family man? He's pulling out all the stops, trying to remake his image, amid multiple lawsuits and the feds raiding his two homes. The news comes as his financial picture appears less than steady.    In other Hollywood news, a musician who has become rather notorious for her alleged parties is Lizzo. Lizzo claims she's quitting the business. In a shocking post on Instagram, on Friday, the artist announced, “I quit”. Did she?   Finally, Rebel Wilson is going nuclear on Sasha Baron Cohen - we've got details. Plus, don't forget Tucker Carlson!   Also, in today's program, new fallout in the P Diddy, shocking investigation.   A segment on The View just went completely off the rails when a guest offered some common sense. Find out what happened next.   Speaking of Disney and ABC, the big shareholder vote for Disney is just hours away and increasingly CEO Bob Iger's days look numbered. Can he pull this off or will Nelson Peltz win the day?   And finally, as Americans deal with skyrocketing prices at the gas pumps, and in the grocery stores, Joe Biden is introducing what I consider to be the most colossal disaster of an energy move just months before an election. His new strategy will devastate the trucking industry and lead to greater inflation for every day Americans. I'm calling out Bidenomics for what it is. HUGE Win for Trump! Appeal Granted - and Bond GREATLY Reduced! Leticia LIVID, Trump Responds

In today's live breaking edition of The Trish Regan Show, Trish reports that an appeal has been granted in Trump's civil case and, a NEW bond has been set for Donald Trump. The court has agreed to amend the $464 million payment to a lesser amount and the main stream media, including MSNBC commentators are furious, as sources tell Trish that Letitia James is equally mad. Trish Regan has all details.   This news comes as Donald Trump's Truth Social is expected to debut on Wall Street under the new ticker symbol DJT. Trish has new details on the deal that could conceivably fetch Trump $3 billion in six months time, if the stock holds its valuation.   Meanwhile, MSNBC anchor Chuck Todd is furious that the network hired former RNC chair Ronna McDaniel.  You will not believe what he had to say on air about the issue.    Boeing's CEO is out of a job as are two key executives amid new challenges at the company tied to safety issues. Wall Street is pleased.    And, Disney is facing new pressures amid reports of insane lines at Disney World in Orlando this month. 85 min in line for Space Mountain? This may be a new opening for activist investor Nelson Peltz who is questioning the company's content, including its recent focus on DEI initiatives in its movies. Peltz said the most anti-PC thing ever — and Disney can't stop talking about it! But, maybe, just maybe the jokes on Disney and its new — but old — CEO, Bob Iger. Lots going on with this company - much of which could have been avoided had Disney focused on making money instead of going ‘woke'. Perhaps all the more reason to investor with a clear head and unbiased research — perhaps all the more reason to consider subscribing to a model portfolio at Trish Regan and Rob Hordon's https://76research.com. Get your subscription TODAY.    Speaking of being non-PC,some of the kings and queens of that movement are ‘breaking up'! New fallout surrounding Candace Owens and Ben Shapiro. Candace is out with her first public comments since getting ‘fired' from Shapiro's digital media powerhouse, The Daily Wire.    And, Blake Lively, Taylor Swift BFF sure has egg on her face. After posting some troll like comments about Kate Middleton, Lively is groveling now and begging for forgiveness from Princess Catherine - and the world. Makes you wonder, says Trish Regan, was this just an attempt at trying to placate one of her other Hollywood Friends, the not-so-highly regarded Meghan Markle?    It's a packed show!Support the show: https://trishregan.shop/See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

In today's Live edition of The Trish Regan Show, I'm all over the bizarre response from NYC officials after firefighters BOO'd Trump prosecutor Leticia James (who wants to drive Trump into bankruptcy). Now they're telling firefighters they can't speak out? This is going too far, folks. Way too far.    Meanwhile, Trump just made some important comments on CNBC directly addressing his critics. You need to hear them.    And, with Biden looking to spend your money in a wild government spending spree, we're taking a cold hard look at why these socialist policies are dangerous for the American economy with Alfredo Ortiz, CEO of Job Creators Network.   Plus, no one watched the Oscars last night, but - still, they're doubling down on politics in Hollywood. Isn't this what caught Disney in trouble? I explain.    Disney is furious after activist investor Nelson Peltz issued a 133 page report explaining how Disney could reinvent its company. It has plenty of good suggestions but Bob Iger is furious. In a slick new video, he fires back against Peltz. I'll show you.    And, finally, are you are Nick Bosa Trump fan or a Travis Kelce Taylor Swift and Joe Biden fan?
