Mein Fazit nach einem Jahr NIO ET7.

El Nio ET7 es un sedán eléctrico de lujo que se destaca por su diseño elegante y aerodinámico. Cuenta con un sistema de propulsión eléctrica de alto rendimiento que le permite ofrecer una potencia impresionante y una aceleración rápida. Además, está equipado con una batería de alta capacidad que proporciona una excelente autonomía. En términos de tecnología, el Nio ET7 incorpora un conjunto de características avanzadas. Cuenta con un sistema de conducción autónoma de nivel 4, lo que significa que puede operar de forma autónoma en la mayoría de las situaciones de conducción sin intervención del conductor. También ofrece un sistema de asistencia al conductor que incluye funciones como el control de crucero adaptativo, el frenado de emergencia y el asistente de mantenimiento de carril. En seguridad infantil, el Nio ET7 ha logrado una valoración global del 87%. En el impacto frontal, ha obtenido la puntuación máxima de 16 puntos. Tanto el dummy Q10 como el dummy Q6 han obtenido una calificación buena. En el impacto lateral, ha obtenido 8 puntos, con una calificación buena para los dummies Q10 y Q6. En cuanto a la protección de usuarios vulnerables de la vía, el Nio ET7 ha obtenido una valoración global del 73%. En el caso de un atropello, la seguridad pasiva ha obtenido una puntuación de 24,6 puntos sobre 36 posibles. Sin embargo, el vehículo cuenta con asistentes activos para evitar el atropello, como el asistente de frenada autónoma de emergencia, que ha obtenido una puntuación de 7,1 para peatones y 7,8 para ciclistas sobre 9 posibles. En cuanto a los asistentes a la conducción, el Nio ET7 ha obtenido una puntuación global del 95%. Nio hat in Frankfurt am Main, das zweite Nio House Deutschlands eröffnet. Wir waren zugegen, haben nicht nur dem Nio House einen Besuch abgestattet. Sondern uns auch mit Ralph Kranz, General Manager Nio Germany, über das Unternehmen, deren Vision, Expansionspläne, Batteriewechsel-Technologie und nicht zuletzt über die Nio House ausgetauscht. Wer möchte, kann künftig, zentral gelegen im pulsierenden Herzen der Kultur- und Finanzmetropole, direkt am Eschenheimer Turm, ebendiesem Nio House einen Besuch abstatten. Erwarten darf man hierbei eine neue Szene-"Off-Location" für Kunst, Kultur, Musik und mehr. Auch unseren Podcast kann man dort hören, während man einen Kaffee oder einen Skylime genießt. Letzterer ist der City Drink für das Nio House Frankfurt. It's Monday 16th May,  it's Martyn Lee here and I go through every EV story so you don't have to.  NIO REACHES 500 TOTAL DELIVERIES IN NORWAY - The Chinese electric vehicle (EV) maker opened its first local NIO Service Center in Norway on May 12 and delivered its 500th vehicle in the country at the opening ceremony, according to information shared Friday on the Norwegian version of the NIO app. - NIO announced its official entry into Norway, the company's first stop overseas, on May 6 of last year. Its first model offered in Norway is the ES8 SUV, and its flagship sedan, the ET7, is also expected to be available in the country this year. DELIVERS ITS 200,000 ELECTRIC VEHICLE - Electric vehicle startup NIO Inc, which has emerged as one of China's promising new electric vehicle startups, has reached deliveries of 200,000 electric vehicles in the world's biggest auto market. - Reaching deliveries of 200,000 vehicles is a significant milestone for NIO after launching its first vehicle, the ES8 SUV, in 2018. As a result, NIO is becoming a serious competitor to Tesla in China. - NIO is also planning to launch its sixth battery-powered model soon named the ES7, which is an SUV that will compete with Tesla's Model Y and BMW's X5L SUV that's sold in the China market - NIO's vehicles are uniquely designed, as the batteries can be removed at one of the automaker's battery swap stations called "NIO Power". The entire swap process takes about 10 minutes. It offers a faster alternative of plugging in and waiting for the battery to charge, but also helps address the current lack of convenient EV charging infrastructure across China. - By the end of the year, the company said its will have in total over 1,300 Power Swap stations, 6,000 Power Chargers and 10,000 destination chargers online across China, including along China's famed Silk Road that links the eastern and western regions of China. - Under the BaaS model, if a customer decides to purchase a NIO electric vehicle and subscribe to use the 70kWh battery pack under the BaaS model, the purchase price drops by 70,000 yuan ($10,450). Customers then pay a monthly fee of 980 yuan ($146) for the battery pack itself. - NIO ET7 customers will also be offered a subscription service for NIO Autonomous Driving (NAD), the company's autonomous driving feature that's similar to Tesla's Autopilot. The podcast starts with Lei giving us an overview of the annual, and critically important 两会 or Two Sessions conference that sets the agenda for the year's governmental priorities. NEVs have been a major priority of the Two Sessions for the last several years for instance and it was no different for this session.Tu then talks about how the number of new brands being established in China has really pushed a significant increase in the level of competition there and how the Chinese government has begun to take a step back to allow all of these brands across the different market segments push the market forward, drive innovation to make these cars more feature rich, yet affordable. He is doubtful that the few EV startups in the US alongside the legacies who've begun to pivot their products to clean energy are enough of a critical mass to quickly get sales to that same tipping point. He is curious and hopeful that as the US govt begins to take a more active role in the sector that there will be a number of startups that enter the market to challenge the established brands. The discussion transitions to Lei reflecting on what Stephan Wöllenstein meant when he said that ‘Chinese brands have made it' during China EVs & More MAX episode interview with him. Lei talks about how desirable Chinese EV products have become with Tu and Lei both agreeing that 500K RMB automobiles built by Chinese companies would likely NOT have been considered by a Chinese consumer just 4-5 years ago but are now redefining premium in China.  A prime example of what they're referring to is the interest on Twitter that the NIO ET7 launch received worldwide. This was excitement neither Lei or Tu had seen in some time and it was for a Chinese EV brand. Lei insists that NIO is due because they've been out of the news for sometime since this is their first new product since the ET7 was unveiled 14 months ago.

There were 721,000 registrations (or 11.5% share of the overall auto market), establishing a new global record for PEV sales. " Fully electric vehicles (BEVs) represented 72% of plugin registrations in November, above the year-to-date tally (69%). In total, there were some 518,000 registrations of BEVs, a new record, or 8.3% share of the overall auto market. Looking at registrations by OEM, Tesla is leading with 14% share, but it should gain one percentage point in December, ending the year with 15% share. That would be one point less than in 2020 and 2 points less than in 2019, in line with the trend of a slow decline towards some 10–12% share in a few years. #2 Volkswagen Group and #3 SAIC retained their standings and shares, while #4 BYD was up one percentage point, to 9%, and should gain another point in December. The final 2021 standing will probably end with Tesla ahead, with 15% share, followed by Volkswagen Group (12%), SAIC (11%), and BYD (10%). A Ford spokesman confirmed the fleet order is for the Mustang Mach-E GT. - The Mustang Mach-E GT models purchased will have a range of 270 miles. But of course, the one competitor everyone is looking to take down is Tesla and, in this segment, the Model 3 Performance is the one to compare against the i4 M50. The guys from CarWow brought us the first drag race between these two models right as the new year rolled in. - The BMW and the Tesla are neck and neck in the first part of the 1/4 mile run but the German car pulls ahead towards the end, on both runs, which probably means the Bavarians are not exactly honest about the true power figures of their car. - both cars are all-wheel drive and both cars have a dual motor setup, one for each axle. The BMW i4 M50 has a combined maximum power output of 544 PS and 795 Nm of torque. When it goes into production in 2022, the Audi Q6 e-tron will be the first PPE-based electric vehicle to come from the VW Group. - The PPE (Premium Platform Electric) architecture will underpin almost all upcoming VW Group EVs, including the Porsche Macan electric and the Audi A6 e-tron. However, it all starts with the Q6 e-tron, which was just recently caught testing in the wild yet again. - Being based on Audi's PPE architecture, the Q6 e-tron will have 800-volt architecture, just like the e-tron GT. Which means it will likely be able to charge at up to 270 kW, or even more. It also likely boast a range between 350-400 miles, considering Audi claimed the A6 e-tron Concept — based on the same PPE architecture — could get 430 miles. Original Source : https://www.techradar.com/news/how-green-is-your-electric-car-really-new-battery-passports-will-reveal-all ELECTRIC CARS ARE LESS GREEN TO MAKE THAN PETROL BUT MAKE UP FOR IT IN LESS THAN A YEAR - Electric vehicles are more carbon intensive to produce compared to petrol cars, but drivers make up that extra carbon cost with just 7,000 miles of driving in the UK, new analysis has revealed. - An average medium-sized petrol car, around the size of a VW Golf, causes around 7.2 tonnes of carbon emissions to produce, according to analysis by the International Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT), an independent research organisation based in Berlin. - By comparison, producing a similar-sized electric car results in around 9.2 tonnes of carbon emissions. The extra pollution associated with an EV can be largely attributed to the battery, which is carbon intensive to manufacture. - ICCT calculated that a battery electric car running on UK grid electricity produces 35g of CO2 per km, compared to an average petrol car which emits 211g of CO2 per km. - this ‘carbon debt' can be made up after 7,061 miles of driving an electric vehicle in the UK. - In England the average new car is driven for around 10,400 miles in each of its first three years on the road, according to the RAC. Based on this mileage, a new electric car ‘breaks even' with a petrol car in less than a year. To deliver Model Y and Model 3, the company dispatched three cargo ships from China.So far, two of the three have already reached the shores of Europe and docked at ports in several countries to deliver the long-awaited vehicles to consumers. Vessel Helios Ray with the first Model Ys for the European market arrived at the port of Zeebrugge, Belgium on August 15, later it headed to Emden, Germany, and now it is in Bremerhaven, Germany. According to Tesla ship tracker @mortenlund89/Twitter, a number of Model Ys were unloaded in Zeebrugge to be transported to Norway in another vessel. - Glovis Supreme arrived at the port of Zeebrugge, into which the Model Y from Helios Rayl is supposed to have been loaded. After this, according to @mortenlund89, there were 1,300 Model Ys aboard the Glovis Supreme, which was delivered to Norway on August 20. The first shipment has arrived at the port of Oslo and over a thousand happy customers will soon take delivery of the long-awaited Model Y. It's now expecting to do the same with the rest of the Bolt EV population, including models recently delivered and those in dealer inventories. - The Bolt EV and EUV models use cells made by LG Chem in South Korea through mid 2019, and then Holland, Michigan from mid-2019 on. GM had previously said that the so-called “design level N2.1” made in Michigan were unaffected - GM now recommends that until customers receive new battery modules, they should set their vehicle to a maximum 90 percent state of charge, charge their vehicle more frequently and not allow it below 70 miles of range, and park the vehicle outside immediately after charging. - GM could potentially be replacing all the battery modules—or full packs, as it may turn out—in more than 140,000 Bolt EVs in North America, of which more than 110,000 are in the U.S. - The expanded recall would cost the company $1 billion more than what had been spent on previous Bolt recall efforts, and it stated today that it will seek reimbursement from LG Chem, the cell supplier. BMW, Volkswagen and Daimler also signaled a change in delivery expectations due to the shortage. Earlier in the year, BMW said it had ordered enough semiconductors and expected its suppliers to deliver, but in a recent statement, the Bavarians said that supply would remain tight in the second half of the year. The lost output was around 30,000 units so far this year. - Toyota will cut production worldwide 40 percent in September. That translates into 80,000 fewer models produced next month than originally planned. The production cuts will affect Europe, China, United States and other markets. In the U.S., just this month alone, Toyota will deliver 60,000 to 90,000 vehicles fewer than originally planned. - The latest production issues follow news that German chipmaker Infineon was forced to suspend production at one of its plants in Malaysia in June, due to a coronavirus outbreak. That's more than twice what was added in 2018. - Big batteries can also step in when a disaster knocks another power source offline. So on top of cutting down greenhouse gas emissions, they can make the grid more reliable and resilient. - Electricity is currently responsible for a quarter of greenhouse gas emissions in the US. But a clean grid could tackle emissions from other sectors like transportation and heating as cars, homes, and buildings go all-electric. - Battery storage costs have tumbled 72 percent since 2015, the EIA found, which helps explain why the vast majority of large-scale battery storage power capacity available today only came online within the past six years. Comments about the Hardware 4 computer were made by Tesla CEO Elon Musk during AI Day, which featured an in-depth discussion on the company's AI-driven initiatives. - Musk remarked that a HW 4.0 or FSD Computer 2 would be introduced in the future. This unit would be a step up from the already impressive HW 3.0 both in performance and safety. - HW 4.0 will be introduced in the Tesla Cybertruck “in a year or so.” Musk later noted that with Hardware 3.0, Tesla's self-driving systems could perform about 300% safer than a human, but for HW 4.0, this number could increase to 1000%. Among these tests was a fundamental and indispensable part, the winter test. This included a systemic and complete collection of dynamic tests on all types of low-adhesion roads to ensure a safe and comfortable driving experience for users in different scenarios.The summer season in China did not provide the environment and low temperatures the test required. However, New Zealand in the Southern Hemisphere allowed NIO to complete the test promptly. - In July 2021, NIO spent a month testing the NIO ET7 in winter conditions. The renowned Southern Hemisphere Proving Grounds (SHPG) of New Zealand, with about 4.9 million m2, boasts 37 snow flats, ice flats, and handling tracks. Situated in the piedmont area adjacent to the Cardrona Valley near Queenstown, a complex mountainous landscape simulated various test environments close to everyday vehicle-use scenarios. - The entry level 70kWh unit offers a 310-mile (500 km) range, with a 100kWh version offering 435 miles (700 km). NIO launched its first autonomous driving model, NIO ET7, a smart electric flagship sedan. The ET7 features NIO's latest NAD (NIO Autonomous Driving) technology including NIO Aquila Super Sensing and NIO Adam Super Computing. NIO Aquila Super Sensing features 33 high-performance sensing units, including 11 8-megapixel high-resolution cameras, 1 ultralong-range high-resolution LiDAR, 5 millimeter-wave radars, 12 ultrasonic sensors, 2 high-precision positioning units, V2X and ADMS. Aquila can generate 8-gigabyte data per second. NIO Adam features 4 NVIDIA DRIVE Orin SoCs with a total computing power of 1,016 TOPS. The interior was finally unveiled at the 2021 Auto Shanghai.
