Adnan Al Noorani is a serial entrepreneur, philanthropist and advisor to families in the UAE. He is highly recognised for his humanitarian work and has over 20 years of experience working with families on everything from law to finance. He joins Andrea to talk about his leadership vision for the future, why everything we do is teaching the next generation of leaders and discusses the mindset and lessons that have got him to where he is today. KEY TAKEAWAYS Adnan has a large following on Linkedin, inspiring others daily with his posts and content. Adnan believes in having to work yourself for anything you want in life, this was taught to him by his father. When running events, it's essential to provide value to the audience and attendees, you need to serve them quality not quantity. This is why Adnan created the Future Innovation Summit event. Risk is part of being a businessman, you have to face challenges head-on. Having a can-do positive mindset, where you tell yourself what you will do each day and what you will achieve is one of the pillars of success as a leader. Adnan's only regret as a leader is not being able to do more for humanity, he is restricted only by money. BEST BITS “A true leader always listens to his people” “In life, if you're not risky you're not a businessman, no risk no story” “In this life nothing is impossible, everything is possible” “I'm proud of what I did but my only regret is I want to do more for society” VALUABLE RESOURCES https://www.linkedin.com/in/adnan-al-noorani-428833133 http://www.dfisx.com/ Adnan's Book Recommendations: Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Flashes of Thought Lessons in Life and Leadership The Monk Who Sold His FerrariThe Art of War Like the show? Managers of Cascade Station are kicking out the upscale shopping plaza's liquor store, according to Saleem Noorani, president of the Associated Liquor Stores of Oregon. The airport mall told Malik Pirani, manager of PDX Liquor and Wine, that it would not be renewing his lease due to a “high number of break-ins,” Noorani told the Oregon Liquor and Cannabis Commission last week.“It breaks my heart,” he said, before reading a prepared statement from Pirani, who told commissioners that daily shoplifting, a string of four overnight break-ins, and repeated threats to staff had forced him to spend $50,000 a year on armed security guards. In the end, they weren't enough. Management refused to renew Pirani's five-year lease.Noorani asked the OLCC to consider reimbursing Pirani for his $750,000 investment in the store. “It's through no fault of his own that he's being driven out of business,” Noorani said.Support the showSign Up For Exclusive Episodes At: https://reasonabletv.com/LIKE & SUBSCRIBE for new videos every day. https://www.youtube.com/c/NewsForReasonablePeople

Noorani is furthermore a contributor to the psychedelic community in a wide variety of ways. He was for example a co-investigator on the Johns Hopkins psilocybin for smoking-cessation study. He co-organized the free online psychedelic conference Psychedelic, Madness & Awakening which is still freely available. He has written defining papers detailing the processes of medicalizing psychedelic substances, and he is often cited for his original critical analyses. At present, Noorani is writing a monograph tracing the renewed scientific and therapeutic interest in psychedelic experiences in the global North, exploring implications for theories of psychopathology and approaches to mental health care. Weaving together scientific, medical, spiritual and aesthetic registers, this research is situated in the context of medicalisation and the ongoing ‘war on drugs'. The vantage point for this conversation is Noorani's presentation at ICPR where he charted and envisioned methods for more rigorous psychedelic drug trial designs that better account for context. We hope that you will enjoy the conversation!Resources:http://www.psychedelicsmadnessawakening.com/https://twitter.com/tehseennoorani Host: Kevin MikkelsenProduction: Heine VolderMusic: Victor LangeThis podcast was made in a collaboration between Regnfang and Cepda - the Danish Center for Psychedelic Awareness. The music in the podcast was made by Victor Lange.Thank you to the Open Foundation for organizing and funding the ICPR conference and for providing us a quiet space during the conference for doing the podcast recordings.Illustrations by Lizette RosagerFollow the links to learn more about Cepda and Regnfang

“The biggest surprise to me was the fact that at the core, there is no standard for how ingredients are labeled. So something as simple as vitamin C, which is a great ingredient that helps with so many things, there's 35 different synonyms for vitamin C. Fragrance has 32 different synonyms, formaldehyde has 12, gluten 27, and even water has over 60 different ways that it could be labeled—and it's water. How can a consumer be expected to find the right products for her and tailored to what she needs?” says Sabrina Noorani, founder of ClearForMe, a platform to increase ingredient transparency for brands and retailers. In this episode, I'm joined by Dr. Muhammad Noorani, a nocturnist hospitalist based in Alabama. He still lives and works like a resident, averaging about 28 days a month at the hospital and driving the same practical car. Financial independence and income diversification has always been important to Dr. Noorani and when the pandemic hit, it gave him some time to reflect on his plan B - which ultimately led to day trading. ***If you enjoyed the podcast, would you please consider leaving a short review on Apple Podcasts?  It takes less than 60 seconds, and it really helps us get the word out about the show. For more thoughts about physician independence and autonomy, visit us at:sycamoredocs.comtwitter.com/sycamoredocsyoutube.com/sycamoredocsfacebook.com/sycamoredocsinstagram.com/sycamoredocsCredits:Theme Music - White Waves by Shearwater

Hate can take many forms. There's the kind that's just fear and bigotry—the ugliest human failings—in disguise. There's the kind that's really just the dark mirror image of love. I loved you, you hurt me, I hate you. There's the kind that's born of envy. And then there's the kind of hate that's all about selfishness. “You're in the way of something I want.” Each of these incarnations is dangerous in its own way. In the story we're about to tell you, a brutal murder seems at first to be about one very specific kind of hate. But as secrets come to light, it turns out to be about another kind entirely.Sources:Investigation Discovery's "Deadline Crime with Tamron Hall," Episode "Witness to Murder"Oxygen's "Snapped: Killer Couples," Episode "Kashif Parvaiz and Antoinette Stephen"https://www.nj.com/morris/2015/06/ex-girlfriend_describes_moms_last_words_after_she.htmlFollow us, campers!Patreon (join to get all episodes ad-free, at least a day early, an extra episode a month, and a free sticker!): https://patreon.com/TrueCrimeCampfireFacebook: True Crime CampfireInstagram: https://gramha.net/profile/truecrimecampfire/19093397079Twitter: @TCCampfire https://twitter.com/TCCampfireEmail: truecrimecampfirepod@gmail.com
