Mark McCloskey is currently running for the U.S. Senate as a Republican.Although the McCloskeys, who were pardoned after their convictions by Missouri Gov. Mike Parson, a Republican, argued that they were justified in holding firearms outside of their home to dissuade the crowd, which they said meant them harm, local prosecutors disagreed. The case, which involved prosecutorial misconduct, received national media attention.Kimberly Gardner, a Democrat and St. Louis's first black chief prosecutor, who has accused local police of racism, was removed from the case in December 2020 by Circuit Judge Thomas Clark II for using the incident in inflammatory campaign fundraising emails that were sent out days before the McCloskeys were charged. Clark ruled that Gardner's behavior raised “the appearance of impropriety” and jeopardized the defendants' right to a fair trial, National Public Radio reported.Leftist financier George Soros, whose philanthropy funded groups that were involved in the violent protests following the 2014 death of black teenager Michael Brown in nearby Ferguson, Missouri, also contributed to Gardner's campaign through his political organizations as part of a “rogue prosecutors” campaign to elect soft-on-crime district attorneys, Capital Research Center found, according to the Washington Times. Critics say that these radical prosecutors have caused crime rates to escalate in communities across the country. The Black Lives Matter activists who appeared outside of the McCloskeys' home were marching to the home of the St. Louis mayor to protest the death in Minneapolis police custody of George Floyd, a black man whose death sparked violent protests nationwide. Nine protesters involved in the incident were charged with misdemeanor trespassing, but the charges were later dropped. The McCloskeys said at the time that their actions “were borne solely of fear and apprehension” at the presence of the mob on a private street.Under court rules, the fact that Mark and Patricia McCloskey were each convicted of a “misdemeanor offense involving moral turpitude” requires them to be disciplined, Chief Justice Paul C. Wilson wrote in twin orders on Feb. 8.Moral turpitude is a legal term describing “wicked, deviant behavior constituting an immoral, unethical, or unjust departure from ordinary social standards such that it would shock a community,” according to the Legal Information Institute.Mark McCloskey entered a guilty plea on June 17, 2021, to a “class A misdemeanor of harassment in the second degree,” Wilson wrote. He was fined $750. Patricia McCloskey entered a guilty plea on the same day to a “class C misdemeanor of assault in the fourth degree,” the chief justice wrote. She was fined $2,000.The couple had originally been charged with felony-level unlawful use of a weapon, although prosecutors reached a plea deal with them to reduce the severity of the charges.Alan Pratzel, the court's chief disciplinary officer, previously moved to have their law licenses suspended. He said what the couple did showed “indifference to public safety” and involved “moral turpitude.”Pratzel acknowledged that the governor's pardons erased the McCloskeys' convictions, but said in such cases “the person's guilt remains,” as The Epoch Times previously reported.Patricia McCloskey told local media that she was “disappointed the Supreme Court found it appropriate to discipline us.”“I think what we did was certainly not an act of moral turpitude,” she said. She noted that they'll both comply with the probation conditions.[Source: Waking Up Right Newsletter, The Epochtimeshttps://www.theepochtimes.com/law-licenses-suspended-for-mccloskeys-the-missouri-couple-who-held-off-protesters-outside-their-home_4266507.html]

Kathleen opens the show drinking a Robot Crush from Aeronaut Brewing in Somerville, MA which was sent to her via the great USPS from a Worthy Termite.TERMITE SHOUTOUTS: Kathleen is thrilled to go through mail from the PO box, thanking Termites Quinn/Stearns (aka “Dr. Quinn”) for her Robot Crush and Marshmallow Fluff (both “born” in Massachusetts), and big thanks to Max for her Dogecoin (which she vows to carry for good gambling luck in her wallet.) Also massive thanks to Creative Termite Elisa (her company's name is Texrah Designs in Dallas) who sent Paddles a very cool Post Malone prayer candle, since Post is one of Paddles' favorite singers.UPDATE ON KATHLEEN'S QUEEN'S COURT: Kathleen announces to the Termites that she has no worthwhile updates from the Queens over the past week, but will continue her hunt for breaking news.“GOOD BAD FOOD”: In her quest for new and delicious not-so-nutritious junk food AND in continuing her search for the best Ranch, Kathleen samples Tessemae's Everything Bagel Ranch, which she thinks is too tangy and tastes more dill than “everything.” Next on the menu are Roulette Nacho Cheese Doritos, which she loves and can't WAIT to offer her young nieces and nephew to watch their shock at the heat. She finishes her tasting menu telling Termites to add Texas Pete Dust Dry Seasoning on any meat they put on the grill, and that Marshmallow Fluff is delicious AND has a stickiness comparable to Gorilla Glue. TENNESSEE GETS A BUC-EE'S TRUCK STOP: As listeners know, Kathleen is a massive fan of good truck stops. She's absolutely excited to read an article that her friend Heidi forwarded announcing that crews have broken ground on the Crossville TN Buc-ee's travel center – the first one in Tennessee; which will be more than 53,400 square feet and offer 120 fueling positions just outside its store with thousands of snack, meal and drink options for travelers on the go.GUN-WAVING STL COUPLE UPDATE: Kathleen reads an update from her hometown of St. Louis, where Mark and Patricia McCloskey were fined and charged with a misdemeanor for pointing guns at social justice demonstrators last year.BATTLE OF THE SPACE BILLIONAIRES: Kathleen provides an update on the space race currently underway between billionaires Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk, and now Richard Branson. Just after Bezos announced that he would join his Blue Origin's first crewed flight on July 20th, Branson announced plans to launch over the July 4th holiday weekend, making him the FIRST to reach space on his private Virgin Galactic craft. Stay tuned, Termites.PINK FLOYD VS FACEBOOK: Listeners who follow Kathleen know that she can't stand Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg, feeling that he is a morally bankrupt human. She's delighted to hear that Pink Floyd star Roger Waters shares her opinion, when he recently rejected an offer from Zuckerberg for the use of his classic track Another Brick in the Wall Part II. Speaking at a recent event, Waters opened up about the financial offer from Zuckerberg, who he called “one of the most powerful idiots in the world”, revealing the Facebook boss wanted to use his 1979 song in a film to promote Instagram.ELIZABETH HOLMES MERCH SOARS: As Termites know, Kathleen is committed to seeing the end of the Theranos scandal with its founder, Elizabeth Holmes, in prison for her fraudulent activities. Holmes is facing federal wire fraud and conspiracy to commit wire fraud charges in connection with allegedly deceiving investors, patients, and doctors about her company's blood-testing technology, and is facing 20 years in prison if convicted. Kathleen reports that Internet sellers are cashing in on swag despite the fraudulent undertones of the trial, cashing in before her criminal fraud trial starts in August 2021. Kathleen is absolutely committed to obtaining a “Theranos: Early Investor” coffee mug from Etsy before the trial begins, because it's important to have goals ☺MEGHAN MARKLE'S BOOK FLOPS: Kathleen delightedly reads an article announcing that Meghan Markle's children's book release, “The Bench,” profoundly flopped in sales in its release week. Online reviewers dismissed the publication as a vanity project which should have been kept within the Royal family, while her sister-in-law Kate Middleton's photography book “Hold Still” remains at the top of the bestseller list. Kathleen mentions that karma might play a part in this situation…WHAT RICH PEOPLE ARE SPENDING MONEY ON: Kathleen laughs that she's starting a new segment to the Pubcast called “What Rich People Are Spending Money On,” after weeks of reading about sales of stolen art and trips to space for auction. This week she reads a press release that shoe magnate Stuart Weitzman has sold a secret coin, his 1933 Double Eagle “Mona Lisa” of collector coins, for $18.9M. Kathleen expands on the story with her own childhood tales regarding having pride in her ownership of Silver Dollars that her grandparents had gifted to her, citing that the only people that would care about her rare coins and stamps would be her super-nerd and incredibly gifted cool friends Lorene Machado and Jackie Kashian, whom she is looking into ordering “Super Nerd” capes for on Etsy. A DEATH IN CRYPTOLAND: In continuing her obsession with cryptocurrency and her love for all things Canadian, Kathleen recommends listening to the CBC Canada podcast “A Death In Cryptoland” about the alleged death of Quadriga CEO Gerald Cotten. Cotten started Canada's largest cryptocurrency exchange in his twenties and is reported to have died while honeymooning in India at the age of 30. The alleged death set off a cataclysmic chain of events that would leave approx 76,000 people out of a quarter of a billion dollars and a trail of conspiracy theories around whether he is dead or alive. KENTUCKY TEE-BALL GAME BRAWL: Kathleen takes another sip of beer and laughs out loud reading an article surrounding a tee-ball championship game in Kentucky that erupted into a brawl when parents began fighting after a spectator ran onto the field, leaving the young players in tears amid the chaos.Witnesses told local media that a spectator ran onto the field, prompting the umpire to end the game and the scheduled trophy and medal presentation ceremony to be canceled. The incident began when the opposing coaches got into an argument over a call when the fan ran on the field. Other spectators said the man took off his shirt and began cursing and shoving people.RENTAL CAR PRICES SOAR: An avid traveler and a big supporter of the rental car industry (especially her hometown based Enterprise Rental Car), Kathleen is amazed when reading an article advising US travelers that US rental car prices could double by August amidst a nationwide shortage of cars. The skyrocketing prices come as demand for rental cars outstrips supply, when in a desperate move to survive pandemic lockdowns that halted global travel last year, many rental companies sold off their fleets for cash. Now Americans are ready to travel again, car rental services have been hard-pressed to rebuild their fleets with limited new vehicle inventory. Kathleen advises traveling Termites to secure their rental cars now to avoid disappointment. WHAT TO WATCH THIS WEEK: Kathleen recommends watching Season 1 of “Dirty John” on Netflix, which she thinks Connie Britton absolutely crushes in, and listen to the podcast “A Death in Cryptoland” 6-part podcast wherever you get podcasts. Post Capitol Insurrection the veteran-extremist-narrative was reported by media, eagerly assigned to all veterans who participated in Jan 6th and perpetuated by other veterans who wanted to shame their own community and point a chastising finger, in addition to mass condemnation of our military with little known details or historical data on extremism. Subsequently, resulting in extremism stand-downs within our military. But was this narrative true? Was this a knee-jerk reaction? Or a little of both? No matter where you stand on the insurrection, it's always important to hear the other side of the story, even if it's months later. At Carry On Podcast we feel that the media has only provided one version. Although we do not support the insurrection and believe extremism should be dealt with and removed from our military, we do support due process and believe it is important to give our veterans a platform to tell their story, if they so choose. We also believe that the Op-Eds that have been written by other veterans calling Jan 6th participants, all extremists, were careless and irresponsible at best. Writing opinion pieces that were holier-than-thou with very little factual data in the immediate aftermath, in order to further their own professional status and political agenda...did very little to help the veteran community or productively address the extremism issue. Mr Albert Watkins is Navy Veteran, Jacob Chansley's defense lawyer. Jacob, otherwise known as the “QAnon Shaman” became the face of Jan 6th. Al takes us on a look at Jacob's pending case, the defense of his client, where being a veteran plays into this and what he believes the media got wrong. Mr. Watkins is the founding member and senior counsel at St. Louis-based law firm Kodner Watkins LC. She then goes into the issues with Nevada not being able to close out their vote counting in a timely manner, which she feels is ironic since Vegas is all about numbers and stats. Kathleen recommends that they empower their gambling union workers to pitch in and help finalize the outstanding votes. Kathleen reviews Kentucky’s roads, and asks that now that Kentuckians have chosen Mitch McConnell (aka “the Talking Turtle”) as their senator to please have them beg McConnell to fix their roads so that her drive to St. Louis is less miserable. She then reviews the humor surrounding Rudy Giuliani’s Four Seasons Landscaping press conference to discuss his intent to challenge the presidential election results on behalf of Trumpy, and she wonders why his team didn’t actually move the rally to the Philadelphia Four Seasons Hotel when they mistakenly sent the crowd and reporters to the landscaping business in the sketchy area of city. CRUISE SHIP COVID RELEASE: Kathleen reviews the CDC’s latest move to lift the cruise ship ban in US waters, which has been put in place in the wake of COVID-19. She reviews the conditions that need to be met to sail, and then the further phase “mock voyages.” She says she would never participate in a mock voyage or a real one in the age of pandemics.CHESS BECOMES COOL AGAIN: Kathleen reviews “Queen’s Gambit” on Netflix, and then takes us down a rabbit hole telling listeners stories about when chess was cool in the 1970’s. She remembers watching Bobby Fischer in the World Chess Championship on Wild World of Sports as a child, and tells listeners to watch the movies “Pawn Sacrifice” and “Searching for Bobby Fischer.” MURDER HORNETS: Kathleen announces that the Asian giant hornet has arrived in North America. Photographs are becoming more common showing how viciously this insect has attacked honeybees elsewhere in the world: it crawls into hives and rips off the heads of bees in large numbers, which is where it gets the reference “Murder Hornet.” WHAT TO WATCH THIS WEEK: Kathleen tells listeners to watch “The Queen’s Gambit” on Netflix.MYSTERY OF THE WEEK: Kathleen discusses the mystery behind The Bennington Trianglein Vermont, and its unexplained disappearances and other abnormalities.

Left complaining of “chilling effect” – correct. Soros Fox Gingrich Clip Fox Response Calls for drastic criminal justice and police reforms have swept the country since the death of George Floyd, but local prosecutors already are making waves on that front -- in a sign that under-the-radar political investments made by progressive groups in recent years are paying off. District attorneys and current candidates whose campaigns benefited from the work of left-wing organizations – including ones backed by liberal billionaire George Soros – are now pushing for new practices that could see sharp reductions in prosecutions and incarcerations. Soros, through the Justice & Public Safety PAC and other groups, has been spending millions of dollars on prosecutorial races in recent years, with a number of beneficiaries making headlines since their elections. Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner, who was boosted by Soros in her campaign, drew controversy when she announced her office was bringing felony charges against Mark and Patricia McCloskey, the couple who brandished guns outside their home as protesters marched by in June. The McCloskeys have said many times they were defending themselves, with tensions high in St. Louis and other cities over race and law enforcement. They said the crowd of demonstrators broke an iron gate marked with "No Trespassing" and "Private Street" signs, and that some threatened them. Another high-profile prosecutor who has been backed by Soros in the past is Cook County, Ill. State's Attorney Kim Foxx. Foxx drew national attention when she dismissed the case against actor Jussie Smollett, who had been accused of faking a hate crime attack against himself. The case was later taken over by a special prosecutor who filed new charges. Foxx is seeking reelection this year and already won her Democratic primary. Regarding ongoing protests in her jurisdiction, she has said that her office will lean toward dismissing cases coming from protests or curfew violations (Mayor Lori Lightfoot imposed a curfew between May 30 and June 6 after a George Floyd protest). “The question it comes down to is, is it a good use of our time and resources?” Foxx told the Chicago Sun-Times. “No, it’s not.” Looking at her term in office, a report from the Law Enforcement Legal Defense Fund found a 13 percent decline in guilty pleas or verdicts in felony cases and a 39 percent increase in dropped or lost cases after Foxx took office in 2016. San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin, another beneficiary of Soros-tied contributions, recently defended the movement to defund police. In a discussion with Rep. Ayanna Pressley, D-Mass., earlier in July, Boudin questioned whether money going to police was “the most effective” use of taxpayer dollars. Boudin is also one of a number of district attorneys participating in "Truth, Justice and Reconciliation Commissions," teaming with the Grassroots Law Project, an organization co-founded by activist Shaun King that calls for defunding police. The other district attorneys who are participating in these commissions are Philadelphia DA Larry Krasner and Suffolk County, Mass., DA Rachael Rollins, who have both benefited from Soros’ support. Krasner, who was elected after Soros put $1.45 million into a political action committee that supported him, has also taken a public stance regarding events that have spun out of the protests over Floyd’s death, particularly the federal response to violent demonstrations in cities like Portland. In a Washington Post op-ed he co-wrote with Baltimore DA Marilyn Mosby, Krasner threatened to have federal officers arrested and charged if they overstep their authority in his jurisdiction, after officers in Portland were accused of using excessive force. “Should Trump send federal agents who engage in the same illegal vigilante activities, unlawfully assaulting and kidnapping people, they will face criminal charges from our offices,” Krasner and Mosby said. In Contra Costa County, Calif., District Attorney Diana Becton – also backed by Soros – changed how her office handles police shooting cases, removing deputy district attorney Barry Grove from his role as the main prosecutor in such cases, switching to a team approach, according to the Mercury News. Becton also announced earlier this month that she was filing hate crime charges against Nichole Anderson and David Nelson, White people who were allegedly caught painting over a Black Lives Matter mural. Orlando State Attorney candidate Monique Worrell is also backed by a group linked to Soros in her quest to fill the seat that will be vacated by Aramis Ayala, who was also supported by Soros. Worrell’s platform calls for an end to cash bail, which would result in more defendants being released before their trial. She also says that incarceration should be a “last resort,” and that those who do not pose “a threat to the physical safety of others” should not be placed behind bars. Worrell’s opponent Ryan Williams has cited the Soros connection as a point of attack, and Worrell has accused Williams of playing on anti-Semitic tropes by mentioning Soros’ involvement. But the Jewish political philanthropist is not the only player in the game of prosecutorial campaigns. Real Justice PAC, also co-founded by Shaun King, has supported 29 head prosecutors and state attorneys general since 2018, including several who were also backed by Soros, such as Gardner, Boudin, Rollins and Becton. The organization is also backing the 2020 campaigns of Foxx and 13 other candidates seeking office. The organization's goals include electing – and recruiting – candidates who would make changes to criminal justice systems such as ending cash bail and “rolling back practices that lead to mass incarceration.” One 2020 candidate Real Justice succeeded in getting elected already is Multnomah County, Ore., District Attorney Mike Schmidt, who will be in a key position when he takes office on Aug. 1, given that his jurisdiction includes Portland, where riots have been taking place amid months of protests following Floyd’s death. Schmidt has said that he would potentially drop charges against nonviolent protesters when he is in office, according to local NBC affiliate KGW Delia Garza, who won the Democratic primary in Travis County, Texas, and will run unopposed in November, is also backed by Real Justice. Garza has already said that her office will decline to prosecute certain types of cases. “We’re not going to prosecute low-level drug offenses. We’re not going to prosecute crimes that are an extension of someone being in poverty, basically,” Garza said, according to KXAN. “You know, we’re going to look at the way that we prosecute crimes like prostitution, because so many times those things, those kinds of crimes are related to poverty in some kind of way.” Trasnscript: 124 - Fox Silences Gingrich - Is George Soros behind lax prosecutions? 00:00:05 - 00:05:03 A. We've got a whole bunch of stuff going on and Yesterday I played a clip of. Speaker Gingrich was on the. Show outnumbered there with Harris Faulkner and Melissa Francis and what the Speaker had to say was that he thought that the big problem was that these. Attorneys district attorneys are not taking care of business and prosecuting people. and. The hosts seemed a little bit put off by that. And They There was fourteen seconds of dead air. As a result and Harris Wagner has come back and responded to that but I'm decided that I wanted to see keep hearing about George Soros, and I don't really know about George Soros other than the rumors and so on a here and I decided that wasn't good enough and I wanted to learn a little bit more for myself and so and for you I figured if I don't know you probably don't so we can learn together. So first let's go and set up in case you have missed this out there this is what I'm referencing that happened with. Speaker Gingrich on the show outnumbered on Fox I guess this would have been on Tuesday. Hero whose lives have been destroyed by this violence. They represent every. Speaker Gingrich have a final thought for us. Look, the number one problem in almost all these cities is George Soros elected left wing anti police, pro criminal district attorneys who refuse to keep people locked up. Just yesterday they put somebody back on the street who's wanted for two different murders in New York City. You cannot solve this problem and both powers and by. Have talked very. About what they call progressive the district. Attorney's progressive. District attorneys are anti police pro criminal in overwhelmingly elected with George sources, money, and their major cause of the violence we're seeing who's they keep putting violent criminals back on the street. I'm not sure we need to bring George listen to this. I was going to get the last word Paker. He he paid for it. So here's the. Teen seconds. I agree it. Doesn't need to be a part of this conversation. One two, three, four, five, though it's six seven. Eight. Nine, ten eleven twelve. Ten, move on fourteen. Courtesy House. We have our network team. Gist an absolute eternity for that much debt air to happen and so. I don't know if somebody was speaking in Harris faulkners ear or what was going on while that was happening but she came out and said something about it. Afterwards. Here is what Harris Faulkner had to say. So we had a little incident on the show yesterday that was not smooth, and while I was leading that segment, we had interruptions and I sat silently while all of that played out. Also not ideal our guest former. House Speaker Newt Gingrich who was beloved and needed to be allowed to speak with the openness and respect that the show is all about. was interrupted. Do we debate with fire here? Yes but we must also give each other space to express ourselves. As the only original member of the six year old amazing daytime ride known outnumbered I. 00:05:03 - 00:10:00 Especially want to rock and roll with every voice in perspective at the table we don't censor on the show. And that's why we're winning weekdays at noon. I found that answer to be somewhat unsatisfactory candidly. I don't think that was For me that's not enough and you know there was an interruption and now I think the interruption was that you talked about George Soros and or that Nigga. Mr. Newt talked about George Soros and does appear that that is a sin that is not allowed on Fox News and I had absolutely no more no idea. It's the title on the on the livestream Thursday. I keep forgetting to update it before I start to livestream of all the things I'm doing but I'll get I'll get that down I need to just probably change it to live broadcast and it's always right. So sorry about that and probably need to. How to do that? During one of these video clips update are regardless. Glenn Beck used to be a Fox News host and Glenn Beck. was run out of the network and Glenn Beck says it was because he was talking about George Soros I will tell you that George Soros is not to be discussed. It is verboten You know when I got down to the end one of the things at Fox News they were starting to tell me I can't talk about things. They just talk about this stop talking about that one of them was God. One of them was Israel and the other one was George Soros and if you remember Glen You won't play the game. The problem with you is you won't play the game. If you've ever heard me tell that story that conversation started with George Soros. So the problem with us, you won't play the game and what that means that you won't shut up about the things that we don't want to talk about. and. So. All right. Well, that's weird. So this is supposed to be the right wing network. We're not hearing criticism, George Soros on the left wing networks and now when he's criticized on Fox, they shut down. Speaker. Gingrich Glenn Beck says that that's why he's not on the network anymore. So okay. What do we make of that? Well? Let's learn about George Soros. So this is George Soros mostly in his own words and in his son words son's words. This is video from. The Open Society Foundation website. And standing over society is one thing trying to. Plead open societies for strengthening opus had his is something else they have to evolve they have to create themselves. And that process is never ending process people are free and they want to hide behind. Orders. Use oversight and it sounded ways in order to have an open society you have to mediate the tension between equality and liberty popular sovereignty and individual freedom is a difficult task. The foundation does more than fun projects with. Certain things. One has to fight for even who is not properly if you believe in something. And you have the convictions. Towards it. You can really withstand. Surmountable odds I. Really. Fight fight. Society is always in danger. and. Renew itself being tested. And surviving. and. So that's that's George Soros and his son there, and you know it all sounds good open society and but you heard the one guy in there say that people are fearful. So they want to hide behind borders. So when they say open what they mean and it sounds you know better than it is what they mean is societies without rules. That's what they mean by open. They. Mean you're open to do whatever you want. Without restriction. That's what it means, and that's a very different thing from what it sounds like when you say open society, it sounds. Better than it is. So Mr Newt makes this claim that George A source has paid for it. So that well, let's find out. If George Soros WHO's paid for it So. Let me just share with you some reporting from Fox, news of all places that shut down the conversation, and I'm not gonNA share the video from them as much as a some. Text and then we'll share some. 00:10:01 - 00:15:02 Audio for some candid say funded. But so here's what what they report. district attorney's and current candidates. Campaigns benefited from the work of left-wing organizations including ones backed by liberal billionaire. George Soros are pushing for new practices that could see productions in prosecutions and. incarcerations. Soros through the Justice and public safety pack and other groups has been spending millions of dollars on prosecutorial races in recent years. A number of beneficiaries making headlines since their election all right now yes remember the mccloskey's. Those are the people in Saint Louis who ended up. With the guns out on their driveway as the protesters were coming by spoke at the RNC convention and They are being prosecuted, right? and. Of course, they're being prosecuted by prosecutors not prosecuting the protesters and vandals. So, who is this prosecutor? While her name is Kim Gardner and she was elected and paid for by this justice in public safety pack that is funded by George. Soros. So here is Kim, Gardner is the bully. Pulpit this is the threats that we receive. We're doing our job to be true ministers of justice. So no policeman is GonNa tell you or any other unit will come to you and tell you if you hold us accountable, we're going to start working. We're not gonNA police your community to make you the calls or say you're the cause of violent crime in your communities and right now we're in A. Very, unique time that we have policing unions with I call him forty-five to promote divisiveness in rhetoric of this anti law enforcement where it's perpetuating a fear that is causing problems with prosecutors like our sales to promote justice and when you have people who will threaten your livelihood not just whether you do your job we'll tell you we will make it difficult for you to do your job in every way. And they have the platform to co have the media. report. It. Yeah so There she is. She's You know complaining that. The police union is telling is protecting the police and that they're protecting the police from her the prosecutor. and. So it's it's amazing that these guys don't seem to be in favor of law and order now. Remember the Jussie smollet case. This was the case where the guy shows up in In Chicago. There and he's an actor right is on the whatever the show was I don't remember the name of the show that the guy was on. But The show he was on. I. Guess. It was empire was the name of the show. Anyway he was not an important player on that show in any serious way and but he went and. Got Himself fake attacked I, guess it was a hoax right and the prosecutor who wouldn't prosecute him was. This Kim Fox in Chicago, and so here is some Kim Vox. CanNot conflate peaceful protesters with what we saw last night. Last night was not an extension of a peaceful protests. Last night was not an extension of righteous anger. Last. Night was a blatant spray display. Of Criminal Behavior. What drove that behavior how we got there? Are Questions that we can continue to answer. But it is not the people for whom we've chosen not to use our resources to prosecute. The mothers who are mourning the loss is of their children the people who are afraid to go out into the stores into the streets, the people who are unable to come downtown today to go to work. Are Looking for answers. Not. Blame. Yeah looking for answers not blaming. So what she's saying is I don't want to prosecute anybody. I want answers to racial justice I. Don't want answers to the crime. Of course, this has led to. More and more crime because the criminals are just getting released. What's cheese Chicago Chevy violence now being experienced in several major cities including Chicago I'll research from a pro-police group is blaming local prosecutors and what they say is a declining conviction rate wgn investigates has an exclusive first look. At. This is Chicago. Every weekend teen killed in one every weekend painful holiday weekend. 00:15:02 - 00:20:04 There's no consequences. To legal gun possession. In our criminal justice system Chicago's new, and that's it right there. That's the new police chief. And he says there's no consequences to credit to gun possession in Chicago. There's no consequences to a lot of things in Chicago. There's no consequences to drug dealing. There's no consequences to all kinds of things in Chicago and so Kim Fox the prosecutor there again elected with George Soros money funded by put forward by everything about her was funded by George Soros and so now the police union is asking for her to resign. Public Room, Euch several police leaders in. Cook. County announced they have no confidence in Cook County State's attorney Kim Fox and they want her to resign. So the move follows the dismissal of charges in the Jussie smollet case however, at least one south suburban police chief disagrees with the move and this opposition goes beyond just the small case eyewitness news reporters here Sheltie is live right now with more on this call to resign today Sarah. Judy and rob the fraternal order of police and cook. County suburban police chief say that their frustration with Kim Fox started way before the Jussie smollet case, they accuse the state's attorney's Office of under prosecuting cases even not prosecuting cases even felony cases. We cannot stand for this any longer. Ms Facts needs to resign. And she should do it quickly. And so the cops are calling for her to resign and everybody wants to know what's going on in Chicago. WHY DO PEOPLE GETTING MURDERED IN CHICAGO? Well, apparently, there's no consequences for gun possession in Chicago and You know it is what it is. You can't change. What you can't change their the Nice woman who is the prosecutor isn't prosecuting the crimes. and. So I just got a message that the audio is a little buggy on guess that's up to the stream sometimes it's. You know it's interesting. I. The other day it was. Terrible on. On periscope and good on facebook and I guess today maybe a facebook as the one having trouble or maybe. All of them are regardless. The the idea here is we do the show live and it is what it is and we'll. All put it out on the podcast. Later, it'll be smooth as butter being recorded here in the idea was since I'm recording it anyway, we'll do it live and see how it works So Kim Fox they're calling for horror Resignation there in Chicago and so this is a good time for me to take a break and I will do that and see if I can't beef up the smoothness of the extreme as well at the same time. So be right back in just a minute or two and. You know how that works. So this is Brian I'll tell you the Republican podcast and I will be. Right, back Welcome back through public podcast and During the break I hopefully was able to clean up the livestream a little bit and. Hopefully, it's it's going to run a little bit better now for the program. Thank you for your patience. I think it was pilot error I want to blame the. Gerbils in the sky that make the Internet work but I think it was me. Song you know it is what it is. You know. Leaving the real world take responsibility, right you're grown up. So any welcome back to the Republican broadcasts with those who are new to the program So maybe I met the Lauren Culpa van last night handing out some business cards. Welcome. Thanks for joining us taking calls after the next break probably the eight six six. Nine eight eight eighty three eleven is the phone number if you WANNA call in be happy to have you and the Lauren culp rally last night was pretty cool deal and natural talk about that. Much on the show being were nationally focused show and that's a local election but that's the guy running for governor here in the state of Washington and pretty cool. So Now. Kim Fox there the prosecutor in Chicago basically decided that they don't want to use their Their public resources for prosecutions they don't think that's a good use of the resources that they think. It's a lot better to use them for I. Don't know whatever the famous thing was midnight basketball right now. In San Francisco. There was a guy supported again by George Soros. His name is Chesa Bodine. And chesser Benin is. The son? Of two of the weather underground bombers who are while his father is in federal prison. 00:20:04 - 00:25:01 His mother was in federal prison for years, and so this guy grew up with the idea that all jail is bad. And all incarceration is bad because his dad who was a criminal was incarcerated and so Chessel Benin is now the George. Soros Elected operated whatever guy? WHO's The San? Francisco. District Attorney Tonight San Francisco has a new district attorney chase a boo dean cave excise. Your Vasquez spoke to the new trump prosecutor about how he plans to take charge. The district attorney chase a bodine swore in the evening with the promise to reform San Francisco's justice system as I serve as district attorney district attorney, but the city and county of San Francisco or the city and county of San Francisco. Dean a former assistant public defender is now the top prosecutor. He says, there are too many people in jail over incarceration. He calls it and he says, one of his reforms will be decarbonisation. Join me join this movement join US rejecting the notion that to be free we must cage others. To do three months you other services. Quality of life issues such as carbon worries end open air drug abuse. I asked the incoming da whether justice system reforms could invite criminals who are not worried about legal consequence. Crimes these street level crimes like burglaries under your administration will they be prosecuted vigorously or will they feel emboldened as people are worried about I think we're going to have some very effective strategies to deter people from committing those crimes in San Francisco I, hope they don't commit them anywhere, but if they do not going to be in San Francisco on my watch I also asked Budeina about police shootings. Will he prosecute officers? I certainly hope not I don't look forward to filing criminal charges against anyone no matter who they are no matter what they do. It's difficult decision you. have to make just, knock. involving. and. Potentially in some cases, involving polices well, Houdini says its priorities will be bail reform sentencing reform and increased collaboration with public defenders. He says, he will soon be announcing strategies to deal with sexual assault as well as auto burglaries in San, Francisco Joe Vazquez KP and so you get to hear now. What the real motivation for Chesa Boudin is and he reveals it. This is actually a campaign commercial but you can hear in here when he talks about Carson. This is why this isn't based on kind of logic or common sense or experience or than anyone has seen this work anywhere. This is purely philosophical. Mass incarceration. It's a term that we hear almost daily. and. Yet what does it mean? To me, it meant going through prison gates. Every single time I wanted to see my parents. Since I was in diapers. To me it still means that as an adult. Because my father is serving a life sentence for crimes he committed when I was in diapers, my mother served twenty two years in prison. That's a reality that will never be lost on me. The implication is that somehow it's wrong for his father to be serving a life sentence for blowing people up. That's what his dad did. He was a weather underground terrorist. and His mom helped. and. They were will along with Bill Ayers Barack. Obama's buddy. They're in prison for billers isn't. A biller and his wife I believe in Nadine Dorn I think was And I don't know if Bill Ayers was ever prosecuted or not I regardless he continues. The reality though is not unique to me. It's not unique to the people I've represented or their families in my years. As a San, Francisco deputy public defender, it's an experience shared by the majority of Americans. The majority of Americans have an immediate family member who resided currently or formerly incarcerated is a defining feature of modern American culture. We need to end it now and we should start in San Francisco. That's And that's so that was his one of his campaign commercials is part about was what that was from and so. This Guy Chess Medine says that you know yes. Most people have a family member who has done jail time. I do. I do I have a family member? Who's done jail time? And you know it's not. 00:25:01 - 00:30:02 It's one of those that just is what it is right now I. I will tell you that this particular family member. Would tell you that He deserved the jail time. Okay, he would tell you that that the jail time was for crimes he committed. That, he wasn't a victim of the system when he went to jail, he was a victim miser. Of other people. And so I don't know what the problem is. Now, Philadelphia has a district attorney on named Larry Crasner. who an another one Name Rachel Rollins who's in a Massachusetts but. There is the one in Philadelphia and these guys are both funded by George Soros funded their campaigns and so here is Larry crafter. Welcome. I am Larry Crasner Philadelphia's district attorney. The most incarcerated country in the world is the United States Pennsylvania and Philadelphia has a terrible history of mass incarceration and excessive parole and probation. It's worse than many other parts of the United States. Incarceration tears apart society and it doesn't make us safe. It makes us broke. It takes resources from the things that prevent crime and make society whole like good public education, economic development health care, and treatment for children and families, and it shifts those resources to custody and supervision that costs a lot often more than fifty thousand dollars per person per year. Excessive. Parole and probation present. The same problem as excessive incarceration science shows that when parole and probation go on for too long they actually caused crime. While your taxes, just keep going up to pay that. Bill. Let's talk about how since the office in January two, thousand, eighteen, the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office has worked to reduce excessive jail and supervision. So we can shift those resources to achieve effective crime prevention just society. I heard, he says, they're excessive jail. And Supervision. We, we don't want to lock people up and then make sure that they you know and look after them there and we don't want to let them out and look after them. We don't want to look after him at all. We just WANNA have give him a little class and tell them you know Johnny, you have to stop being really bad now. And if you don't stop being really bad, you're GONNA have to come back and take to their class. I don't understand the idea that that we are incarcerating too many people and they start letting these people out and the city's turn to garbage, and this is the. Source Philosophy. Here's one more Larry Krassner. The stark difference between what's coming out of the president's mouth and what's happening on the streets in Philadelphia. We have not had anything that could be described as A. Burglaries criminal trespasses what some people would call looting. We haven't had anything like that. For weeks we have had. Peaceful protests on one hundred percent peaceful protests here for weeks. So when he's talking about taking over cities and he's talking about cities being out of control, he is lying. About the city Philadelphia which is nothing new. We have no regard for the truth. He has no regard for facts. If they all of the law then we'll all get along famously and if they choose not to follow the law, then they will discover that there are laws in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania that can be used to prosecute them. So he's talking about cutting the federal government? But based on what I saw in. Portland is my opinion that some of that behavior looks. Like. Criminal Conduct. He's just wrong. Federal law enforcement officers are not above state law and they're not a federal I even though our president would like to present he's above the law none of them are above the law. That we have seen in Portland might provide a clue as to what could be coming. You know when you cause serious bodily injury fraction or fracturing someone's skull. And if that is done in a What in my opinion? is a manner that does not legally justified charged with aggravated Assault First Degree felony. You could be potentially charged with aggravated Assault second-degree felony. You might be charged with attempted murder depending upon all of the circumstances that apply. I'm just I'm just stating something pretty basic, which is when you wear a uniform you're supposed to come correct that made you follow the constitution you follow the laws. And we'RE NOT GONNA put up with. American. Law Enforcement Federal agencies behaving like they're Putin's private police. That's not. See now this is so silly. 00:30:03 - 00:35:08 They're like they're behaving like they're Putin's private police. It's just ridiculous. You. Know to to say that the as though Somehow Vladimir Putin is calling donald trump saying, hey, why don't you get a some guys out there on the street in Portland because they're burning down the courthouse and over here in Russia we think that's really bad. Or is it that if you were patriotic You would let them burn down the courthouse is that what he's saying that that would be the right thing to do. The, you know. Ted. Wheeler wasn't protecting it Governor Brown? Wasn't protecting you. So president trump went in and protected at since it's federal property. Not let him continue happening here. You know these are just words. It's typical is typical trump just words he said this is going to take over us any and then that takeover. Looks like what one hundred fifty guys showing up in military gear alarm quite clear with the streets are I mean is that really what we're talking about so allows really just fluffing nonsense I don't think we should. I actually don't think we should worry too much about it other than to worry about the the possibility that this is playing into some you know typical game of divide and conquer that I think will not serve him. So. Divide and conquer is exactly what the whole Soros Open Society thing is about they want to divide the people who have an by open society. What they mean let me translate is one world government. Okay and so. They WANNA have a one world government, and what that means is that you eliminate borders, you'll eight national distinctions at every level. Okay and so when he's talking about the idea of not serving his interest, that's because he thinks that nationalism is bad. And that if you're interested in nationalism that somehow you are a problematic. Person So. That is the kind of content had related to this stuff. I've got a few other things queued up or teed up. So let's immigration grab a break real quick, and when we get back from the break over the break, if you want to call in make some calls. That's great. If not, we can talk about what I saw in her last night at the Lauren culp rally and so on and so forth. So the phone number is eight, six, six, nine, hundred, eighty, three eleven. If you WANNA call in that great. The facebook Messenger Youtube twitter messing here, kind of things are open to so I will be back. Shortly and Occidental. Republican podcast. Money Brian O'Kelly. I will be your Ford the balance of program I guess all the all the time on. Picking up the people depend on it and I need a guest host. People do as they do the best of shows right and. When the thing gets big enough nobody wants best of and then people want to sit in for him. So I guess at something maybe someday. So. Not Talk to the a little bit about why or last night with. Rally and and just what I saw there along with. Things. Nobody. Called in over the break. So and I can't actually take a phone call while I'm doing this because Well, you know you might be nuts and I don't have a call screener. So probably grab another break before it's done and. Go from there anyway So last night I went out to the Rally for the guy who wants to be the governor in the state of Washington, and for those who don't know around the country, this guy came to prominence. About, two years ago we passed a law in Washington state that was a gun lawn I don't WanNa. Get in the weeds on what this law was but long story short it was a restrictive law that the gun control lobby loved and the gun rights lobby didn't love and it's Not yet been determined to be unconstitutional but I don't know if that's been challenged regardless Lauren culp was the share of over way over on the east side of the state for those of you who don't know Washington state. Most of the population is on the west coast. The eastern part of the state is mostly agricultural and when you get way east or by the Idaho border, it is very, very little populated and Oak Dogan County over there is where Lauren. Call was the sure of. Or is the sheriff still I believe and He said when this law passed I'm not GonNa enforce it in my county. It's on constitutional I'm not doing it. You can't make me I took an oath to preserve and protect the constitution, and you are asking me to act outside of it and I won't do it. And so that's how Lauren culprits to prominence, and then this year we had this This primary election process and normally. 00:35:08 - 00:40:06 In the primary election, it's a top to kind of a primary thing and. But because the COVID, we had thirty, seven, thirty, eight candidates I think for governor on the GOP ticket and Lauren Culpa rose the top and beat them all and so I've seen him now in person twice and man this guy gets the constitution. He said any bill that comes across my desk. The first question I'm going to ask is it constitutional because? I don't care how much I like it or don't like it. If it's not constitutional, we can't do it and it's not gonNA hold up in the end anyway and What I've seen at these rallies now, a couple times is first of all. There's just a ton of people. There's a lot of energy on the right in this very, very blue state. There's a lot of red energy, which is the first time I've seen it really even when trump ran. Came and did a rally. There are a lot of people went to that trump rally but there was not enthusiasm for anybody on the gubernatorial side. Like this, this is very, very different than what we've seen here. Now, the the second the I noticed is that there were just a ton of people I mean literally like get a ton. Of People. Open carrying. Just, a lot of guys walk around with their hips and I'm not here to say that's good or bad, but I'll tell you what? If you're the person who wanted to come in and shoot that place. You weren't going to get a chance you're GONNA get one or two shots Hav, and you're going to be all done. There was just I mean first of all is a lot of law enforcement because Lauren call a police officer, right. But then also just people were comfortable open carrying in that environment. Another thing. I. Saw that was interesting is just a ton of not had masks on I couldn't say nobody but. Very few people have masks on I did see one Cunanan on great awakening shirt just one shirt like that, and so that was. Interesting. Now, the thing that I can share and is kind of an. I don't know how to say it's not really off the record. It's not a super big secret but. Let's just say that that our military has some unbelievable crowd control. Abilities okay these. Are Bases in the Middle East are. Very often surrounded by hostile crowds and that's just nothing new. It's been going for a long time. And not just in the middle. East. But other places to what America does unpopular things are basis get kind of surrounded by folks and. So we have some really effective crowd control. Methods and technology that we employ and when these things were happening in Seattle and I know some of these things have been happening in Portland. It's it's absolutely the One. Prosecutor there crowder from Philadelphia and the guys can't tell the difference between the street and the federal property. He's right on the street. The military can't operate posse. COMITATUS. Prevents that. But there's nothing that says that they can't give logistical support the people who are operating on the street. And this is really important. You know the the the COPs can't the military can't arrest you. But nothing says that the military camp provide intelligence or surveillance? Capabilities to the police that they arrest you with. As long as we're not violating the constitution. So those surveillance things would have a warrant and so on. But outdoor surveillance surveillance crowd doesn't require warrants, right. So the ability of pick out one voice from the crowd and identify who it is and identify one actor and some of those kind of things that the military has for capabilities but just say this. I, know I know now I had suspected but I now know that those capabilities have been brought to bear in some of these situations. What that means is there are a couple of big shifts here. That are very important and one is that the local police are not just on their own anymore. They are effectively every police agency that wants to. Has All of the women or all of the technology and support of the US military available them all they have to ask the president is making it available to them. So. PORTLAND. House a prosecutor Mike Schmidt. Came in down there and he was the George Soros back candidate, and so the police have come in there and. 00:40:06 - 00:45:14 The state police were coming in there and arresting people and they weren't getting prosecuted because of Mike Schmidt and so the state police pulled out of Portland. and. Said we'RE NOT GONNA. Waste our resources here if these guys aren't GonNa Bother, going to bother to prosecute them. Well the federal government said we will. They raise their hand will will prosecute them. We'll go ahead. We'll put them in jail. And so they're not getting charged with these local ordinances they're getting charged with federal crimes, and so the difference here is if they had been charged by Mike, Schmidt who wanted to keep them out of jail. do you want to go to jail? They would have been subject to a one year or two year local state of Oregon incarceration. But because Mike Schmidt decided not to prosecute. They're going to be prosecuted under federal law. which is going to put them in jail for somewhere between ten and forty years. And as this has ramped up, the complaints on the part of the left has been while you're trying to intimidate. People. Yes. That's the idea they're trying to intimidate people into not protesting or at least not into not protesting into not being violent when they do. So shifting gears, we'll come back I'm gonNA, take a break real quick actually I want shifting years old just said over to. The next thing John MacArthur is the pastor in Los Angeles of Grace Community Church and he has been fighting this ongoing battle with the county about opening up and having church services so they brought him into. The church and he brought people into the church, he said welcome to our protest. and. Then, the city got mad about that and has a snapped the lease on their parking lot and John. Macarthur now says, your have put me in jail and they're threatening that and he says, bring it on the angles been telling you for months. Blue states are using Cohen restrictions as a cover to launch an all out assault on your inalienable rights like you're right to religious liberty. Now. The tyrants in California are still pretty giving people for worshiping indoors all by executive. Fiat. But one pastor, he's fighting back to find a court order against enor- services and that man is pastor John Macarthur, and this is from the sermon. He gave to a packed hall of worshippers last Sunday. A. Pastor John. Macarthur of Grace Community Church joins me now macarthur why is this important for you to stand up to these owners edicts? Well. We believe that the Governor County, the city in the health department or going against the Constitution and just to remove one obvious question rate of Kobe in California is one one hundredth of one percent. So one one, hundred of one percent of forty million people have covid an ad eliminates freedom to worship from the entire state, the other ninety, nine point, nine percent right? The constitution supports s him by the way I am so thankful that president trump as told me personally that he supports church as essential and the churches need to stay open. So the Constitution on our side and the president's backing we're open. Pastor MacArthur Kamala Harris thanks we're in essentially rolled war to listen. This is not about punishment. It's about big brother is simply about saying a leader. What a leader says in times of crisis, and this is you can look at World War Two you look at the Great Depression where leader said. We each have to sacrifice for the sake of the nation and the collective and Mansa. This is about Half a million Americans die turn. World. War trying to free Europe. The same. To what you now to somehow justify depriving people of their inalienable rights to assemble to petition the government and of course, to worship as a community. Well of course, but it's more than that Laura. The Church Preaches the gospel of Jesus Christ Jesus died and rose again and the only source of eternal salvation when the church doesn't exist make sure it navigates around politicians whims the church exists in the world preached the Saving Gospel of Christ or not concerned about the flu we're working CERNA about eternity eternal life salvation, and the more dire circumstances become in the world around us the more critical. 00:45:14 - 00:49:48 The more essential the church becomes and the more important. The Gospel becomes I'll tell you something our church is literally flooded with people. We have them in every nook and cranny jammed together inside outside on several floors in our children's education building in the gym in a tent outside their flooding the place hear the message of forgiveness and salvation in a time when feared is being propagated on every. As. I listen to Selma. And the you know there's an old saying that says, in the time when all the world is a liar, people will flock to manny tells the truth. And that's John. Macarthur right now and he's telling the truth it's unconstitutional. It's illegal to restrict my movement. You can't quarantine me when I'm healthy. You can quarantine me when I'm sick or you have a reasonable suspicion that I'm sick. And so the. Contrast couldn't be more stark between the two sides in this debate or the two sides. In the discussion we've got the Joe. Biden. Side that wants to put literally everybody in a mask and make it the law that you don't have a choice and down to probably arresting you who knows here is Biden's pitch for a mask mandate by his own admission. He continued to lie about covert nineteen double down on the catastrophic mistakes that he's made, and perhaps worst of all made clear that he still doesn't have a plan. To bring us out of this crisis even said I quote. A lot of people think that masks are not good. Undercutting easiest most effective means we have reducing the spread of this disease I would call all the governors to the White House. And say because there's a question I think it's an can be answered in the positive a question whether I can mandate. Over state lines in every single state has to comply. Now our legal team thinks I can do that based upon the degree to which there's a crisis in those states and how bad things are for the country and if we don't do it what happens. But I would make the case. I'd make the case why it's necessary. Have the scientists to rate lay out in detail why and I would go to every governor and I go to governor's related Republican and Democratic Governors nine say we have to have this national manding we must do it. So. How does that make sense? How does it make sense that we have a national mask mandate? You know when when you have a state like you know Montana or no North Dakota or how how about this does it make sense to have a national mandate that includes Alaska? How about Guam what about Puerto Rico? How about these islands? They have the same breakout issues or infection issues everywhere else. To treat, New York City. And New Jersey and Los Angeles. The same is Cheyenne Wyoming. Or Chattanooga. Tennessee or. Panama City Florida just thinking about where some friends live you know or who knows you know a million other small towns. You know. Green Bay. Wisconsin. Is Not, Los Angeles, and the idea of treating all of these like a monolith is you know the old saying goes liberals don't care what what you do as long as it's mandatory. You know they just WanNa make sure that everybody is always being treated the same and they want equality of outcome, not equality of opportunity and such a big important difference in the philosophical difference between the parties. So thanks for joining. I'm going to wrap it up here and will head off to the weekend and yet the podcast out. So later today those who. were. Finding the audio dropping out in the early part of the show that'll be rectified on the podcast. Thanks again for your time and attention. If you can find the time to visit the website at Republican or dot Com and sponsor the show ID grateful for that. Or just go to patriots dot com slash record keeper and remember for me share the show and abuse Horton show financially. If it makes sense to give. Thanks.

Here is a look at speakers featured in a mix of live and virtual programming starting on Monday. GREAT AMERICAN STORY. The theme of the nominating convention will be "Honoring the Great American Story", and will culminate in a live acceptance speech from Trump on Thursday night on the South Lawn of the White House. The White House grounds will also be used on Tuesday night, when First Lady Melania Trump and Trump's adult children will speak from the Rose Garden. Trump will be the central focus and will make appearances on most days, according to campaign sources, including one event when he will honor doctors, nurses and other workers on the front line of the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. Vice President Mike Pence will be the main speaker on Wednesday, delivering his remarks from Baltimore's Fort McHenry, made famous in the War of 1812 when it was successfully defended against an attack by the British navy, inspiring the poem that became the lyrics for The Star-Spangled Banner. Some government ethics experts have expressed concern over the use of federal properties as stages for partisan political speeches, but a law prohibiting the use of federal funds for campaign appearances excludes the president and vice president. In 1940, Democratic President Franklin D. Roosevelt accepted his party's nomination from the White House via radio. On Monday, the convention theme will be the "Land of Promise," Tuesday's will be the "Land of Opportunity," Wednesday will focus on the "Land of Heroes" and events culminate in the "Land of Greatness" on Thursday. TRUMP CHANGED MY LIFE Trump has been criticized for his response to the coronavirus pandemic, which has killed more than 170,000 Americans and triggered a severe economic downturn, as well as his reaction to nationwide protests over racial injustice and police brutality against Black Americans. To counter those criticisms, the convention will also feature everyday Americans who will testify that Trump has changed their lives in positive ways, according to a member of Trump's campaign. They will also sound the alarm over the dangers of a victory for Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden. They were charged with felony weapons offenses, which Trump has called a "disgrace." Their attorney, Joel Schwartz, said their appearance has now been confirmed by Republican organizers. Other citizen speakers will include police Sergeant Ann Dorn, whose husband, retired police captain David Dorn, was killed during violent protests in St. Louis in June; Tanya Weinreis, who will say her Montana coffee shop and employees' livelihoods were saved by a loan from the federal coronavirus relief Paycheck Protection Program, and the parents of Kayla Mueller, a humanitarian worker murdered by Islamic State. https://MichaelShell.us https://Podcast.MichaelShell.us --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/michaelshell/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/michaelshell/support

Progressive Prosecutors Are Frontline Fighters in the New Culture War

One reason that the nomination of Kamala Harris is so fascinating is that it comes at a time when we're completely rethinking criminal justice in the United States. And Kamala Harris was a prosecutor. From her time as San Francisco district attorney and as California's attorney general, critics argue that she locked up parents of truant children, left a potentially innocent man on death row, and didn't support a measure mandating statewide standards for police body cameras. She caught a lot of flack over her criminal justice record during the Democratic primary, especially from the progressive wing of the party. Even so, Kamala Harris labels herself a “progressive prosecutor.” She's far from alone. But what does that label even really mean? On today's show, you'll meet two women who call themselves progressive prosecutors, and hear what it means to reform the system from the inside, while becoming the face of a different kind of culture war. First: St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner, who was reelected in a landslide victory during this month's primary, championing police accountability and diversion programs to incarceration. But her progressive approach has made her a target for the Republican establishment. Missouri's Republican governor Mike Parson is trying to decrease her power. And now she has been rendered a TV villain by pro-Trump pundits for prosecuting RNC stars Mark and Patricia McCloskey, who went viral after brandishing weapons at Black Lives Matter protesters in June. Next up, you'll meet Satana Deberry. When she took the oath of office as district attorney of Durham County, North Carolina, in January 2019, it was a momentous occasion—for the city of Durham and for her, as a Black woman elected to an office historically held by white men, whose “tough on crime” policies have devastated communities of color for decades. She ran her campaign being vocal about the over-policing of Black and Brown folks, promising sweeping reform. Now, more than a year into office, she faces the complicated realities of seeking to reform a deeply flawed criminal justice system and support a community ravaged by gun violence. She's learning that implementing change will be harder than she could have anticipated.

The Republican National Convention invited Mark McCloskey to speak after he and his wife Patricia stirred national controversy by brandishing firearms before a Black Lives Matter crowd that broke down his neighborhood gate. Aug 25, 2020: RNC Night One

AM Quickie

Welcome to Majority.FM's AM QUICKIE! Brought to you by justcoffee.coop TODAY'S HEADLINES: The RNC kicked off tonight with, who would have guessed, a controversy, as Trump narrowly decided against holding an illegal gathering in DC and went forward with plans to accept his party’s nomination from the White House, rather than a politically neutral site. Meanwhile, in Wisconsin, protests erupt after police shot Jacob Blake, a black man, seven times in the back while he was attempting to get back in his car. Blake survived, but the outrage over his clearly unjust treatment caught on video has rocked the city of Kenosha. And lastly, California is once again burning, as exhausted firefighters battle 625 active blazes across the state. THESE ARE THE STORIES YOU NEED TO KNOW: Here we go everyone, it’s the RNC. After last week’s Republican-lite convention put on by Joe Biden and the Democrats, it’s time to watch the full-fascist party put on their show. Night one did not disappoint: Mark and Patricia McCloskey, the St. Louis couple who pointed guns at Black Lives Matter protesters outside of their mansion, leaned hard into false rhetoric that the Democrats would hand over citizens to criminals. RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel praised Trump’s support of housewives and moms, and diaper-boy Charlie Kirk leaned in to his alt-right roots by making a pitch for Trump that included the words “Western Civilization.” You can see where that one’s going. But all of this gabbling is mostly just window dressing. The more interesting story of the convention, like we mentioned yesterday, is the GOP’s full-throated endorsement of Trump without any concrete policy goals. Late Sunday night, the Trump administration released a list of “goals” for a second term, which include everything from moon bases to intensely repressive immigration lists. The Republican party is on board with this till the bitter end. The other theme is that the normal rules will not apply to this party or this President. On Monday, the White House constructed a stage in the Rose Garden, preparing for a big event on Thursday when the president will formally accept the nomination. It’s technically against ethics rules for the president to do partisan activities like campaigning on federal property, but Trump has decided that, like so many other laws and norms, doesn’t apply to him. It’s all just part of him testing his limits to see just how far he can go. We’ll see on November 5th whether or not that’ll extend to free and fair elections, and we’ll see what other buttons Trump tries to press at the RNC the rest of this week. Jacob Blake Shooting Fractures Kenosha In Wisconsin, a new shocking incident of police violence has thrown a small city into turmoil, as massive protests and civil unrest erupted after police in Kenosha shot an unarmed black man seven times in the back. The victim, Jacob Blake, was shot as he was attempting to get back into his car, which his three children were inside. He’s in stable condition in the hospital, miraculously. But his shooting was captured on video, and within hours the city was on fire, as angry residents torched garbage trucks, parked cars, and looted businesses downtown. On Monday, the state deployed 100 national guard members and set an 8 p.m. curfew for the city to crack down on protests. Blake was allegedly trying to break up a fight between two women when police arrived on scene, and appears to attempt to leave the situation as police yelled and pointed their weapons at him. As he attempted to get back into his car, an officer grabbed his shirt and shots rang out. The city is still on edge, and while the police immediately opened an investigation, it doesn’t look like there will be an easy resolution anytime soon. California Fights Over 600 Fires California is on fire, as it is every year around this time. But due to the drastic effects of global climate change, every year seems worse than the last. Right now, firefighters in the state are battling upwards of 625 active fires, including two of the biggest fires the state has ever seen. Together, over 1.4 million acres of land in the state have burned. Many of the fires are sparked by lightning strikes, as dry fuel loads go up like matches during dry summer thunderstorms. And of course, vulture capitalists have found a way to use the catastrophe to get richer: Common Dreams dot com reports that one hedge fund has added $3 billion to their coffers by buying up insurance claims. Thanks to the megafires nearby, Oakland and much of the Bay Area is choked by smoke, closing state parks and schools already plagued by the pandemic. Another thing weakened by the pandemic: the prison labor California and other states often use to fight wildfires. Thanks to early release programs aimed at releasing prisoners from the COVID-traps of the prison system, much of the state’s captive wildfire labor force is home, and not behind bars. The prison labor system is an abusive form of modern slavery, which the most recent fires have exposed as an integral part of California’s response to wildfires. Clearly, the state needs a better system, because this is only going to get worse. AND NOW FOR SOME QUICKER QUICKIES: Kellyanne Conway announced she would leave the White House at the end of August, citing the need to focus on her family. It’s probably no coincidence that her daughter, who has promoted leftist causes on social media, has been publicly seeking emancipation from her parents, claiming that she’s disgusted with her mother’s job. Researchers in Hong Kong confirmed the first case of coronavirus re-infection, raising concerns that having the virus will only make you resistant to it for a limited period of time, not indefinitely. The patient is asymptomatic and doing fine, but definitely appears to have caught two different strains of the virus months apart. Hamas leadership in the Gaza strip reported the first cases of community spread of coronavirus, raising fears that the disease could rip through the blockaded, mostly captive populations there, who are underserved by healthcare networks. Trump’s National Labor Relations Board announced last Friday that criticizing an employer’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic was not protected speech in the workplace, meaning companies could fire workers for speaking out. That means that under Trump, brave organizers like Amazon warehouse worker Chris Smalls can be axed with no government backup, just for trying to keep their coworkers safe. That’s all for the Majority Report’s AM Quickie today! We’ll have more pre-recorded content for you this afternoon, as Sam and the Team are still on a well-deserved break. Biden's mission to disarm America

With less than 100 days until November's presidential election, Americans need to take heed and take some time to dive into the Democratic deprivation planned for our country should Joe Biden steal the White House.  Today, I will detail and list one critical matter that many in our country are not aware of and not discussing. For a generation, liberals have attacked our nation's Second Amendment rights. Now, just three months before the 2020 election, Joe Biden is orchestrating a Kabal of gun-haters, hell-bent on disarming law-abiding citizens, leaving them defenseless against Democratic rule. Please sit back, and arm your minds as I layout just what the liberal establishment has in store to disarm our democracy should Joe Biden be elected as our nation's president.  For those of our listeners who follow our postings here at The Liberty Loft, you may have seen an article I posted this week illustrating Biden's gun reform policy. And in that article, I speak of how minorities and those Americans with low incomes will be rendered defenseless under the New Democratic firearm reform.  I urge each of you that missed that article to make sure to pull it up and give it a good read - a lot of useful information there. But, I want to outline some additional details here, some information that no one seems to be discussing, but that will ultimately affect our nation's safety and security should Biden and his left-wing minions gain power.  By now, we all see the writing on the wall here - from coast-to-coast, liberals are doing everything in their power to disarm our country - taking guns and ammunition away from law-abiding citizens and risking the safety and security of those who want to defend their life, that of their family, and their property.  We have all seen the riots that have taken place across our nation's cities. We have seen how liberal prosecutors are behaving against individuals who are standing their ground to protect their lives, in St. Louis, it took the Attorney General of Missouri to step in and dismiss the frivolous criminal charges of Mark and Patricia McCloskey. A circuit attorney charged them with unlawful use of a weapon after they pointed guns at Black Lives Matter protesters in late June. Don't let the mainstream media full you. Joe Biden may be hiding in the basement to avoid further embarrassment of verbal gaffes and unintelligible nonsense - but he is hard at work with his newfound friend, Beto O'Rouke, and others to devise a plan to take guns and ammo out of the hands of legal owners.  Now, Biden and Beto, and liberal lawmakers across the United States have singled out the AR-15, the Am-47, and all high capacity rifles. They have also targeted and grouped all pistols and other firearms that can receive more than 10-round of ammunition - classifying them all as assault weapons.  We have seen what liberalism has done in Virginia and other states - now, Biden, if elected, will take these restricting gun measures to a whole new federal level. The former Vice President is now touting that he single-handedly help ensure the passing of the 1994 Clinton-Era "Assault Weapons Bill." And if elected, he and the liberal-establishment will return our country to an era where the only legal firearm one can carry is a Red Ryder BB gun. Something else I detailed in this week's article, was Biden, Beto, and the other members of his Bolshevik Brotherhood, and their thoughts on moving most legally owned weapons to a ban list, and require citizens in our country to participate in a federal buyback program or register each of their firearms and magazines under the National Firearms Act.  For those of you listening who may not know, the National Firearms Act was passed in 1934 and required certain firearms to register a specific gun, like a machine gun, and pay a $200 tax, along with other fees, to purchase. The $200 price was intended to be prohibitively expensive, almost 400% more than most earned in a month.  Some of you out there may be saying, well, Eric, why is this so important. Well, $200 in 1934, adjusted for inflation, in 2020, would equal almost $3,900. Now I ask those listening today, how many of you out there have $3,900 to pay per firearm to keep them from being confiscated by the federal government? How about those of you who have dozens and dozens of 12, 15, 24, 30, and 45 round magazines. Would you be able to afford an extra $3,900 on each of them?  In case you didn't know, the current penalties for anyone who violates the 1934 NFA federal law are at risk of up to 10-years in prison and a $10,000 fine. Do I have your attention yet?  Folks, as a small business owner, and a Federal-Firearm License holder, since the arrival or COVID-19, and due to liberal government's inability and refusal to keep citizens safe from criminals, firearm and ammunition sales have skyrocketed. Our nation has seen the highest number of gun purchases in history - most of the new firearm purchases are 1st-time gun buyers.  Many in our nation do not believe that their government is providing protection - which for anyone who has read the Constitution knows is the first and most important job of government in the United States. Our nation's brave men and women in the military and law enforcement swear allegiance to protect our citizens from foreign and domestic enemies.  Biden and his communist cronies are planning to disarm our nation - as law-abiding citizens; we are not to look to our local, state, and federal governments to provide protection. No, no, our Constitution affords us these protections, defenses against people both in private, and those within the government who wish to dismantle our God-given rights to life, liberty, and property without Due Process.  The threat is real - as real as Al Qaeda was on September 10, 2001, the citizens in our country face ultimate and grave danger. However, this time, the threat is from within - and the death count will boggle the mind.  Ladies and gentlemen, I urge each of you to wake up and pay attention to what is happening around you. Our nation is at risk; the very fiber of our founding is more fragile today than it was on July 5, 1776.  Are we to sit back and allow for our democracy to be dismantled? No, we need to unite; shy away from being afraid to speak out against what is wrong, and dangerous. Joe Biden has, is, and will be devastating for our country. You need no further proof than liberal lawmakers have allowed occurring all across our nation.  Get up, get mad, and get into action to say we will not disarm; we will not allow those within our government to demand liberal conformity. I choose life over liberal lunacy; I choose freedom over fascism, and I will not lay back and hide behind the fear that Democrats in our nation want to instill.  Music courtesy of Greg Shields Music. http://www.reverbnation.com/GregShields

Case details emerge after images of Mark and Patricia McCloskey spread like wildfire when they brandished firearms against BLM protesters who’d entered their gated community in St. Louis. This is the fourth dead soldier found there in a month, further adding to the compound’s robust history of violence and harassment toward personnel. With under 100 days until the election, Trump’s foothold is slipping in Republican states while Biden is seeing double-digit leads.

She added that she was recommending a diversion program as an alternative to jail."It seems like the only person in the United States who thinks we did something wrong is our [city's] circuit attorney. She is the same person that let out of jail everybody that was responsible for the looting and fires and destruction, following the George Floyd death, in the city of St. Louis,""It's a totally upside-down world," he continued. The guy that recruited them, that planned this event, said the next day that he intended to break the law; that he needed to break laws in order to send his message.""None of those people are arrested. None of those people are charged. The circuit attorney has apparently decided her job as a prosecutor isn't to keep us safe from criminals but to keep the criminals safe from us. When Mark and Patricia McCloskey defended themselves with a strong show of force against hundreds of aggressive, trespassing people, I was reminded of my testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee in January 30, 2013, when our federal lawmakers were considering banning certain firearms and operational parts of firearms under the bogus justification of increasing public safety. Mark and Patricia McCloskey walked out onto their lawn with a rifle and a handgun to protect themselves. The mainstream media and the leftist internet tried to turn them into viral villains, but except for the extreme left, people cheered and supported them for their actions. Americans have watched rioters and looters destroy our cities and kill those who stand up to them, like David Dorn. Police forces have given up precincts and our streets to rioters and looters who attack police officers without fear. It is easier to attack our second amendment in times of peace and security, but those attacks fall on deaf ears when Americans see what is happening around our country. Our Second Amendment gives every law-abiding American a fighting chance. Here's What You'll Discover In This Week's Episode: Why relaxing in your home could put you at a disadvantage in a mob attack... and what you can do about it! The reason you should avoid pointing a gun at an angry mob until the "last minute." What Mark and Patricia could have done differently to avoid being harassed by their local prosecutor. Hear the story of ‘Ken and Karen’, the couple who protected themselves from an angry mob they perceived as terrorists and Oklahoma prosecutors who charged violent protestors with terrorism. Then ask yourself, when do protestors become criminals and terrorists? Violent Oklahoma protestors were charged with terrorism, rioting, assault and arson - felony offenses that could sentence them to years in prison. The D.A. said he chose a get tough approach to deter people from going too far during protests in the future. Hear all the destruction they caused and you decide. Mark and Patricia McCloskey, whom social media dubbed ‘Ken and Karen’, saw a threatening and armed mob crashing through the gates surrounding their private neighborhood and reacted out of fear for their lives and property by coming outside holding guns to defend themselves. Though some people want to call them racist, in fact, they work as attorneys protecting blacks and other minorities. Again, hear their story and you decide.

Ken and Karen Investigated by St. Louis Prosecutor - Mark McCloskey speaks out – Dom B Podcast 170   By now most have heard the name Ken and Karen. Their real names are Mark and Patricia McCloskey. The made the news when they stood their ground when a bunch of protesters broke into a private and gated community with private streets and sidewalks on their way to protest the Mayor of St. Louis, Lyda Krewson. Ken and Karen, as named by Twitter land, are now being investigated for crimes on the whole situation. The St. Louis Prosecutor, Kimberly Gardener, is looking into the case. The St. Louis Prosecutor tweeted she was horrified that these “peaceful protesters” were greeted at gun point. The protesters are not peaceful. The protesters broke the gate to enter the private property and painted the street to read “Resign” in front of the Mayor’s house. The protesters want the St Louis Mayor to resign after she doxed several people during a Facebook Live. But in typical fashion the protesters decided to do the same to Ken and Karen. Now Ken has his place of business boarded up so protesters can’t break the windows.   Should Ken and Karen face any penalties? Do you agree that Ken and Karen were correct in their actions? Will the Prosecutor find any charges to go forward with the case of Ken and Karen?   Patreon - https://www.patreon.com/dombpodcast PayPal Donations - https://www.paypal.me/DomBPodcast Dom B Instagram - @domb85 Dom B Facebook (Business) - https://www.facebook.com/dombpodcast Dom B Twitter - @dombpodcast Email – dombpodcast@gmail.com Dom B YouTube - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6KVo6FU6GFxSL2leQLT6dA SHIRTS ARE AVAILABLE - https://rdbl.co/2Oj2zKT iTunes - https://apple.co/2og1Nnk Spotify - https://spoti.fi/2wwGxgS Reddit - https://www.reddit.com/r/DomBPodcast/   #KenandKaren #Protesters #Trump2020 Ken and Karen Investigated by St. Louis Prosecutor - Mark McCloskey speaks out – Dom B Podcast 170 Ken and Karen Investigated by St. Louis Prosecutor - Mark McCloskey speaks out – Dom B Podcast 170 Ken and Karen Investigated by St. Louis Prosecutor - Mark McCloskey speaks out – Dom B Podcast 170

America is going full funny farm now. L'Oreal has vowed to remove all forms of "whitening" from their skin products, because that will apparently end racism. Mike Henry, a middle-aged white guy, stepped down from voicing a black character on the TV show Family Guy. The Simpsons finally declared that white actors will only voice their white characters. (Aren't ALL Simpsons characters non-white?) And other white actors are apologizing for voicing non-white characters. If this all sounds super racist to you, you aren't alone. What started as protests against police brutality has morphed into something completely insane. And it doesn't seem to be going away any time soon. However, we did see a new development last night. Another mob of "peaceful protestors" broke into a private gated community in St Louis. They didn't expect to run into two wealthy armed lawyers (married lawyers, at that!), but that's exactly who confronted them. Mark and Patricia McCloskey, owners of the first home along the mob's path into the community, stood barefoot on their porch armed with a rifle and a pistol, and demanded that the protestors continue on their way. It's an image that will likely end up as one of the most iconic shots of 2020. If only all of this foolishness was the extent of the news. Unfortunately, no one is talking about the financial crisis rapidly bearing down on us.

RadioPublic|LibSyn|YouTube|Patreon|Square Cash (Share code: Send $5, get $5!) Good day! It’s Wednesday, July 1st, and a special Canada Day episode of KITM featuring David Waldman and Greg Dworkin—Coo-Roo-Coo-Coo-Coo-Coo-Coo-Coo!  Well, there’s the COVID-19 pandemic disaster, and the Russian bounty treason. Which HOAX! would you like to be addressed first? Republicans who did not want to look weak by wearing masks and then put them on months later, still look weak. The ones still refusing look like idiots. Therefore, many Republicans you will never see again, and the ones that have been left behind are looking more like crazy idiots. Crazy idiots do happen to be to be Donald Trump’s enthusiastic core supporters, but pandering to just them seems to be a lost cause. The public is not in the mood to play with Donald anymore. Experts see a wall of dark clouds gathering on the horizon as coronavirus cases skyrocket in red states. Donald Trump had three weeks to turn it all around, but failed Americans. Mark and Patricia McCloskey, personal injury lawyers, and total assholes, found the ideal representative—perfect asshole Albert Watkins. Sure, Remdesivir seems a bit expensive, but have you priced a funeral lately? It doesn’t matter, the US bought up the world stock so now you’ll have to wait for the deluxe Trump brand version anyhow. Condoms and face masks will never get in the way of horny morons. Surging caseload spikes demand for testing, which could crash the supply train. Who needs a nasal swab though, when there’s so many angles to attack the situation? Sources report that our lone warrior can read. This probably comes as a surprise to every world leader and their aides. Donald might not even be aware that things can be “written down”. Judge Samuel Alito might retire soon… as if that would matter to someone of Mitch McConnell’s principles! Have a hard time choosing between Democracy and Autocracy? David suggests abolishing the legislative filibuster. You could also pack the courts while you’re at it. Joe Biden can learn a few things from Jimmy Carter. Who’s Joe Biden?

PODCAST SUMMARY HOUR 1: Mark Steyn guest hosts for Rush on Tuesday. Democrat targets event at Mt. Rushmore as white supremacy. July 4, 1776 was a ghastly mistake according to the left. No one has more association with slavery than the Democrat Party. Mark and Patricia McCloskey learned no one is coming to help when the mob comes for you. Black lives are cheap in CHOP. Russia fake news is back with the bounty story. The CDC destroyed its own brand. New York is going broke because of incompetence. Woke Democrats are torching their own history. Conservatives cave to easily hijacked revolution. PODCAST SUMMARY HOUR 2: Russia-Taliban bounty story is rubbish from top to bottom. Dems, Joe Biden hoping for fatigue vote. Nowhere is more anti-American than an American schoolhouse. Hans Christian Heg was a better man than all of BLM put together. BLM should protect Chicago, not destroy other cities. No nation is perfect. All we know of our history is just the warts. Emperor Constantine statue hate is proof of self-moronization of society. The McCloskeys didn’t threaten anyone, they defended their home and their dog. No one needs woke corporations. PODCAST SUMMARY HOUR 3: Joe Biden comes out of the basement for odd press conference. WHO is a metaphor for the world, you pay for it, China owns it. China doesn’t have identity politics. Joe Biden sees China, Ukraine as means to funnel money to his family. BLM is creating more racism through its actions. Moderate Democrat caller: We can’t vote for anyone who supports what these rioters and protesters are doing. Erasing history won’t change it. Biden wants mandatory nationwide mask wearing. Significant number of liberals want new flag, anthem and name of the country. A bad faith movement filled with lazy narcissists. Al has other high visibility clients such as Mark & Patricia McCloskey, who made national headlines after pictures and videos showed them pointing firearms toward protesters in their gated community last year. He is no stranger to other high-profile cases such Haman v Harris and defended Major League Baseball star Jack Clark.
