The White House is trying to fire Centers for Disease Control director Susan Monarez for opposing Health Secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr.'s anti-vaccine policies. This has sent the CDC sliding into chaos. On Thursday, press secretary Karoline Leavitt struggled to spin what's happening. She said Monarez had never been subject to a vote—but the Senate voted to confirm her. Leavitt insisted the White House had fired Monarez—but Trump's direct word appears to be required, and as of this recording, he hadn't spoken. Leavitt pretended Trump is defending the integrity of our vaccine system—but RFK is destroying it. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus California school district prohibits prayer before board meeting A California school district is fighting a legal battle to defend opening prayer, arguing it's perfectly permissible to open meetings by invoking God, reports Faithwire.com. Joel Oster, an attorney for Advocates For Faith & Freedom, told CBN News that Chino Valley Unified School District has taken decisive legal action to challenge what it believes to be an outdated injunction from the Ninth Circuit Court preventing the school board from opening with prayer. The Christian legal rights attorney explained himself. OSTER: “It's not a violation of the First Amendment. It's not an unconstitutional establishment of religion to just simply allow a deliberative body to open up its sessions with prayer.” Remember the truth of Ephesians 6:12. “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser flips: Grateful Trump lowered crime After previously criticizing President Donald Trump's federal takeover of Washington, D.C., Mayor Muriel Bowser has since changed her stance, praising the federal operation for the reduction in homicides, carjackings, and gun crimes, reports One America News. On Wednesday, Bowser gave an update on the result of the federal takeover, revealing that violent crime is down by 45% since the operation began in comparison to crime statistics within the same period last year. The nation's capital has seen a 38% decrease in homicides, an 87% decrease in carjackings, and a 62% decrease in robberies. Attorney General Pam Bondi revealed on Thursday that there have been 1,283 arrests and the seizure of 135 illegal guns as a result of the operation. In order to help drop the homicide rate even further, President Trump made this announcement. TRUMP: “If somebody kills somebody in the capital, Washington, DC, we're going to be seeking the death penalty. And that's a very strong preventative we have no choice in DC and Washington.  States are going to have to make their own decision. But if somebody kills somebody, it's the death penalty.” Genesis 9:6 says, “Whoever sheds the blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed, for God made man in His own image." Trump fired CDC Director On Thursday, the White House said President Donald Trump has fired Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Susan Monarez after she refused to resign, reports CNBC. Hours later, NBC News reported the White House had tapped Jim O'Neill, deputy secretary of the Health and Human Services department, to serve as acting director of the CDC. O'Neill was sworn in as deputy secretary in June, and is a key aide to HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. The temporary appointment suggests that Kennedy could have a clearer path to make changes to U.S. immunization policy, particularly after Monarez had refused some of his requests. The permanent replacement for Monarez will have to be confirmed, though, by the Senate. Homosexual CDC official, who called pregnant women pregnant “people,” resigned Plus, Dr. Demetre Daskalakis, a homosexual man married to his alleged husband, Michael Macneal, resigned at the CDC in part because he had been upset by Kennedy's decision to remove COVID-19 vaccines from immunization schedules for healthy children and pregnant women, reports The Epoch Times. And, like many on the left, Daskalakis insisted on calling pregnant women “pregnant people.” White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt made this comment. LEAVITT:  “I understand there were a few other individuals who resigned after the firing of Ms. Monarez. One of those individuals wrote in his departure statement that he identifies pregnant women as ‘pregnant people.' So, that's not someone who we want in this administration anyway. So, if people are not aligned with the President's vision and the Secretary's vision to make our country healthy again, then we will gladly show them the door.” Kirk Cameron warns America about Taylor Swift Christian actor Kirk Cameron recently sounded the alarm over Taylor Swift's cultural influence, reports The Christian Post. CAMERON: “This billionaire pop star in heels is crowned ‘the voice of a generation.' What do you get when a billionaire pop star releases an album with provocative artwork, lyrics that mock God, glorify rebellion and celebrate explicit sin? “You get the most powerful sermon that America's youth will hear this year. Her songs are not just music. This is discipleship!” Cracker Barrel has funded sexually perverse lifestyles for a decade Despite the fact that Cracker Barrel has been shamed into keeping its own nostalgic logo, the controversy extends beyond the logo and remodels.  According to Fox Business, the rebranding saga began on May 16, 2024, when Julie Masino, the new president as of 2023, unveiled a “strategic transformation plan” to investors, emphasizing “refining” and “evolving the brand across all touchpoints.” Investor Sardar Biglari, a prominent shareholder, issued four warnings, including a 120-page slide deck and a seven-page letter to shareholders, labeling the rebrand “obvious folly” and warning of “shareholder value destruction.” He argued, “Cracker Barrel is not in dire need of a transformation; it's in dire need of a turnaround,” and criticized the board as “flawed” and “responsible for the current malaise.” Despite these warnings, Masino and the board pressed forward with a $700 million remodel at Cracker Barrel, ignoring Biglari's concerns and dismissing him as an “activist investor” with an “ultimate agenda.” However, from a Christian standpoint, the most objectionable aspect of Cracker Barrel is its apparent longstanding push of sexual perversion. Listen to what conservative activist Robby Starbuck said at the beginning of a 15-minute statement. STARBUCK: “We investigated Cracker Barrel, and what I'm about to show you is a company infested with left-wing activists who are more interested in safe spaces, pronouns, and virtue signaling than they are in their customers. “I think the best way to start is by telling you what you've been funding if you've gone to Cracker Barrel in recent years. So, let's start with Nashville [homosexual] Pride. Yes, Cracker Barrel is a proud sponsor of Nashville Pride, and had been part of it for over a decade, along with participating for multiple years in Evansville, Indiana's third River City Pride event. “They even made LGBTQ+ rocking chairs for these pride events. The same pride rocking chair that they put front and center in their Tennessee corporate office and at their 2019 managers conference for the Cracker Barrel managers. “And for a food service company, you might be thinking their focus should be good food and good service, but their own website says, ‘This year, Cracker Barrel's focus was to be a part of the [Homosexual/Transgender] Pride experience.' And they're very proud of their pro-trans rocking chairs. Let me tell you, they call it, ‘Bringing the front porch to Pride.' And if you think that's out of alignment with their customers, well, you're right!” Cracker Barrel leadership is recognizing the truth of Galatians 6:8. This week the Senate passed H.R. 8404, the “Respect for Marriage Act.” Cardinal Timothy M. Dolan of New York, chairman of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops' (USCCB) Committee for Religious Liberty, and Bishop Robert Barron of Winona-Rochester, chairman of the USCCB's Committee on Laity, Marriage, Family Life, and Youth, issued a joint letter and analysis urging Congress to oppose the measure. But I don't want to focus on the Democrats right now. I want to focus on the Republican Party because one of the big things that's going to shape the midterms — which, make no mistake, are going to be nationalized — is how the American public feels about the GOP. That includes the party's overall image, the fact that they currently hold the House, Senate, and the White House, and the role of Donald Trump as president. Historically, that's usually the kiss of death in a midterm. The public looks at single-party control and, whether consciously or not, pulls back a bit. It's a check on power, and more often than not, it happens.I still believe, sitting here in late August of 2025, that Democrats are in a good position to take the House back in 2026. The redistricting mess adds some chaos, but even assuming that plays out neutrally or slightly in their favor, the historical precedent is clear — they should be competitive. That said, if we were heading toward something other than a typical midterm correction, you'd start to see signs. Not signs that Democrats are collapsing — that's already evident in other areas — but signs that voters are unusually comfortable with Republican governance.And you know what? Those signs are there.If I had to judge the early terrain by three hard metrics, I'd go with national fundraising, party registration, and the president's approval rating. Let's start with the money. The Republican National Committee currently has $65 million in cash on hand. That's not an overwhelming total, but it's strong — especially with a year to go. More importantly, it's four times what the Democratic National Committee has. The DNC is sitting on just $15 million. That gap alone is bad enough, but it gets worse when you factor in spending decisions like Proposition 50 in California. That fight — to temporarily override the independent redistricting commission — is going to vacuum up cash from the same organizations and donors who would otherwise be investing in House flips. So the Democrats are undercapitalized, and they're committing resources to side projects.Then there's registration data. According to a recent New York Times report, Democrats have lost 2.4 million registered voters in swing states that track party affiliation. In the same set of states, Republicans have gained nearly that same amount. That's a five million voter swing. It's not just that Democrats are losing — Republicans are growing. That kind of shift doesn't usually happen in the middle of a polarizing presidency. People don't suddenly start checking the box for the incumbent party unless something is resonating. And considering the kind of term Donald Trump is having — rapid policy implementation, constant headline churn, immigration crackdowns, inflation waves, even distractions like the Epstein debacle — you'd expect backlash. Instead, you get a net positive in party affiliation.That brings us to approval ratings. Trump's RealClearPolitics average stands at 46.3 percent. He's still underwater, with 50.8 percent disapproving. But let's add context. That number is higher than Joe Biden, Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, or even Ronald Reagan had at this same point in their second terms. That's unusual. And while being underwater is never ideal, that 4.5-point spread is about what you'd expect for Trump when you factor in how he's consistently undercounted in national polling. And the range of poll results is all over the map — Rasmussen has him up one, Harvard Harris has him down two, YouGov has him down 12, and Gallup just released a poll with him down 16. But even Gallup's number is an improvement from previous weeks, which suggests that Trump's “tough on crime” stance — especially in DC — is landing.So when I step back and look at the full picture, what I see is a Republican Party that isn't being punished. That might sound basic, but it's a big deal. Historically, you'd expect that by now — with the administration moving aggressively, Democrats hammering every misstep, and inflation rising — the electorate would be turning. But instead, Republicans have a funding advantage, a registration advantage, and a president who's polling better than most of his second-term predecessors.That doesn't mean they're going to hold the House. The historical pattern still favors Democrats picking up seats. But it does mean that the GOP is better positioned than it has any right to be under these circumstances. And if your theory of the midterms is based on Trump's agenda — the one big, beautiful bill, cutting Medicaid, handing out tax breaks, and all the rest — then you have to reckon with the fact that, at least for now, it isn't hurting them. Maybe that changes. Her front door was never locked, and kids from the neighborhood were always welcome to grab a snack, stay for dinner, or spend the night. Her mother worked full time, raised four kids and cared for her grandmother, who moved in when she was stricken with multiple sclerosis. The definition of hard work and selfless service, Mallory's mom still found time to bring the community together for an annual town-wide yard sale and take Mallory and her siblings to volunteer at the local soup kitchen. Following in her mother's footsteps, at 12 years old, Mallory got her first job serving coffee at BINGO night at the local volunteer firehouse. By 16, she was a manager at a local family-run grocery store. She worked as a bartender and in various jobs on campus as she earned her degree from the University of Notre Dame, where she was nicknamed “car girl” by her classmates and in her senior year won an international car design competition. But when she graduated in the middle of the Great Recession of 2008 with no healthcare, no job prospects, and student loans coming due, Mallory went from designing cars to spending a few nights sleeping in the backseat of one as she tried to land on her feet. Refusing to give up, Mallory became an industrial designer, creative director, and small business owner, working on concepts for everything from cars to Hot Wheels to documentary films to commercials, live events, and branding for local businesses. She never planned to enter the political arena, but fed up after the 2016 election – and driven by a belief that politics should be about service, not self-interest – she googled, “how to run for office.” Through sheer determination, she inspired hundreds of local volunteers to help her swing a Republican-held state Senate seat by 20 points, flipping a district that included Mitt Romney's home town. When a right-wing state senator baselessly referred to Mallory as a “groomer” in a fundraising email, she took to the floor of the Michigan state Senate and, in a now-viral speech, she memorably declared that, “we will not let hate win.” The speech showcased her courage and moral clarity, leading James Carville to say “I'd show this tape as an instructional video,” and the New York Times to label her “one of the Democratic Party's most promising young talents.”   She used her newfound platform to help flip control of the Michigan Senate for the first time in 40 years, then she got to work: strengthening unions and raising wages, getting rid of the retirement tax on seniors, expanding civil rights, repealing the state's 1931 abortion ban, banning child marriage, tackling gun violence, expanding affordable housing, feeding kids in schools, and so much more. Mallory will bring that same determination to deliver for Michigan families to the U.S. Senate. She and her husband Ray were married in Detroit's Eastern Market. Independent voters have been gaining numbers for years now and have become the largest voting bloc in the United, with registrations surpassing both the Republicans and Democrats. This increase has been fueled by voters tired of the major parties constant bickering and the wish for more options in elections. Independent voters were very influential in the 2024, especially in swing states, electing a Republican for the presidency but also helping Democrats win some key Senate seats. US President Trump issued a letter purporting to fire Federal Reserve Governor Cook—an unprecedented action. After recent comments, investors will inevitably view this as an assault on Fed independence. There are obstacles—Trump already appointed a majority of Fed governors, without changing policy independence. If the dismissal survives the courts, the Senate must confirm any successor. Fed presidents still have policy votes. Faith in these checks may limit the negative market reaction.

Here are 3 big things you need to know—   One — Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy will announce action today against three states over English language tests for truck drivers.  The move comes after an Indian immigrant truck driver was charged for killing three people in a Florida crash. Transportation chief Sean Duffy says the man could only identify one out of four road signs shown to him in a test after the crash.   Two ---   Indiana Republican lawmakers are planning to meet with President Trump at the White House today.  Reports say although Tuesday's event was pre-planned to discuss the President's agenda, the topic of redistricting will no doubt come up.  Indiana may become the next state to re-draw it's congressional maps ahead of the 2026 midterm elections.   And number three ---   The Fiscal Year 2026 Michigan state budget still has not been introduced in the legislature and budget talks are scheduled to continue today between the governor and leaders of the state House and Senate.  Governor Gretchen Whitmer wouldn't confirm an economic trip is planned for next month to Japan, but did say she is always available to negotiate the budget regardless of where she is.  Whitmer says missing the September 30 deadline to get the budget done and prevent a government shutdown on October 1 will not do anyone good.
