In this episode, we talk with James and Brian from Head Full Of Ghosts. It was great to talk with them about their band, their latest album called 10.23, their influences, and more. This band puts a new spin on the 90's rock and grunge stylings. In some ways I felt like I was listening to new Filter, Seven Mary Three, or Our Lady Peace when listening to Head Full Of Ghosts. It wouldn't be Fans With Bands without talking about first concerts and pizza toppings. Send us a textHey Xer's its the latest and dare I say, most robotic, episode of XRadioX we've ever produced! Maybe the episode with the fake, robotic baby is a bit more robotic than this one. Maybe not?Anyway...It's episode 43 and Matt and I tackle the question of Robots and Radio. Ever since you could automate a cart deck to go to the next cart deck with a tone, radio station owners have been trying to strike that balance of automation, scheduling efficiencies and the eternal question of... Do I really need these pesky "personalities" to make this station LIVE and LOCAL. Spoiler Alert... You do, no matter what your reps tell you.Matt and I do a little talking about AI (Chatty) and how well the algorithm is not only programming your video feeds on YouTube but it's also influencing your music choices. Think about it... If you were into alternative college rock in the 90's how different is your music feed now versus then? You know it all sounds like late 90's Foo Fighters with a mix of Seven Mary Three, for you know... Variety. You can thank your previous music tastes and Spotty for making every song you like to listen too a variation of Monkey Wrench, Hey Man, Nice Shot and Cumbersome... You know, for variety.Basically whether you like it our not the robots are taking over.We also play a game where I totally kick Chatty's robot ass. Go on and listen. You won't be upset.Check us out on the socials....Instagram - Threads - Xitter
The guys dig deep into the high school poetry that makes up the lyrics of 7 Mary 3's hit Cumbersome. Overflowing with self-reference and Eddie Vedder's impressions, this song will make it so you don't know if you're coming or going. Oh yeah, no. Yeah yeah, no no. Yeah. No.

This week we wanted to talk about Seven Mary Three's debut studio album, but we didn't Google correctly so instead we're talking about their debut independent release Churn, released in 1994. If you know their 1995 release American Standard, Churn is the same album but worse. In this episode we discuss literature, mayhem, theft, emotional walls, lake corpses, cover stories, time travel, cults, honeypots, Manchurian Candidates, and so much more! When you Google the adjective “Cumbersome”, the first thing that comes up is the definition of the word, which is “large or heavy and therefore difficult to carry or use”. The second thing that comes up, however, is a giant YouTube thumbnail image of Seven Mary Three leader singer Jason Ross. Most people, in fact, instantly think of this 1996 modern rock single any time they hear the word, and this week's guest Trevor Leonard is no exception. Are Seven Mary Three too heavy, too light, too black or too white, too wrong or too right? Tune in to this week's episode to find out! If you like the show, be sure to rate, review, and subscribe. Episódio de número 38 do Total Distortion começando com uma adição muito especial, a música Fear Inoculum do Tool como bonus track do programa, já que ele já tinha sido gravado! Sim, demorou para o Tool chegar aos serviços de streaming, mas agora que chegaram, já é o segundo programa seguido que tocamos um som deles. No programa anterior mencionei que estavam para lançar o disco esse mês, mas logo em seguida soltaram esse primeiro single, Fear Inoculum, que leva o mesmo nome do disco e tem mais de 10 minutos de duração e é um puta som, confere aí! Nessa edição também temos outras pedradas incluindo Korn, Flaw, KXM (projeto do Dug Pinnick do King's X com o Ray Luzier do Korn e o George Lynch do Dokken), bandas progressivas fantásticas como Port Noir e Ghost Ship Octavius e clássicos do rock contemporâneo como Seven Mary Three e The Toadies. This is total Distortion, turn it up louder! Tracklist: - Tool - Fear Inoculum (bonus track*); - Badflower - The Jester; - Black Moods - Bad News; - BRKN LOVE - Shot Down; - Flaw - Persistence; - Korn - Cold; - KXM - War of Words; - Port Noir - Champagne; - Ghost Ship Octavius - Edge of Time; - Seven Mary Three - Cumbersome; - The Toadies - Possum Kingdom;

Too heavy? Too light? Too black or too white?? Too wrong or too right?!? Today or tonight?!?!?!? Don't worry: Delvis & the King have got you covered. We discuss Seven Mary Three's American Standard. There's more than one good song on this album, dammit! Hear us discuss post grunge bands, Jesuits, and the bands douchebags listen to (hint: it's not 7M3).

That…was…the question. The answer? I did not pee. Other things we learn today: “Cumbersome,” by Seven Mary Three is, well, cumbersome. Except when I’m singing it passionately. Then it’s both annoying and cumbersome. Shadyside: 10,878 rich white people can’t be wrong. Greg gives Quincy Jones perhaps too much credit, which is all of the credit, for Michael Jackson’s early solo music (i.e. Off the Wall, Thriller). This morning, a soberer, more contemplative Greg is feeling less…uh…you could say, histrionic. Pittsburgh Popcorn Company popcorn is, and I clear my throat in preparation for a pure yinzer compliment, “Ruhl good.” The Bronx and Mariachi El Bronx are the very same band. (If you knew this, and again I clear my throat, this time to provide a quintessential Christian Bale exclamation, “Good for you!”) I didn’t know this. It kind of blew my booze soaked mind. This episode is brought to you by the letters P-R-I-N-C-E and the number (…are you really doing this, Del Duca? Yes. Yes, I am…) 69. The music? “Gett Off” and “Get On the Boat.” (See what I did there?) We present to you, “To Pee or Not To Pee? (Chirdonathon, pt 6)"
We round out 1996 by revisiting the world of James O'Barr's The Crow in the ill-advised sequel, The Crow: City Of Angels. We have a full house as Allen and Steven welcome back previous guests Alan Hardy, Gerald James, and Lacey Day, to dissect and attempt to explain what is happening in this movie. Also on this episode, we discuss the band HIM for really no good reason, white trash goth kids, every 80's band ever is referenced for no good reason, Pantera is outed as Lynyrd Skynyrd with distortion, Seven Mary Three is only not Pearl Jam because they're different people, and Iggy Pop spent 40 years living on the sun. Official Website: http://www.lawabidingbiker.com PODCAST-Anyone who knows anything about riding street motorcycles surely remembers or had heard of the hit TV series CHIP's! Even those that have never ridden a motorcycle have either heard of or watched the show themselves. The show has had a long lasting impact on many and we wanted to dive into and reminisce in this podcast episode. We have it packed with information and fun facts. There were many actors that appeared in the series each season, which aired from 1977-1983. Of course we all remember the main duo, Officer Jon Baker, played by Larry Wilcox, & Officer Frank Poncherello (Ponch), played by Erik Estrada. Sgt. Joseph Getraer played by Robert Pine was their direct supervisor on the show. Don't forget the beautiful Randi Oakes who played Officer Bonnie Clark. Ponch was the macho, rambunctious one and Jon washis straight-laced partner. The two didn't always see eye to eye on set, but have since reconciled. Each had their contract negotiation issues later in the series. Larry Wilcox actually did not return for the entire last season due to salary issues. Check out the Free Law Abiding Biker Podcast App!
