"Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we've been waiting for. We are the change that we seek." - Barack Obama, on the campaign trail, Feb. 5, 2008Nothing was ever going to come easy to Barack Obama, and many thought he was crazy for trying, but belief himself was something Obama had in spades, and it lifted him to the presidency of the United States. Follow along as Barack Obama rises from a humble start as a community organizer in Chicago to crack into Illinois Democratic politics, transform his career with a 2004 national convention speech, and shock the political establishment by becoming the first African American President in U.S. history in 2009. His reward? Two foreign wars, an economy in free fall, and an opposition party committed to saying 'no!' at every turn. It was one of the most challenging hands any president has been given, and yet he overcame it to save the American economy and settle its foreign policy on stable ground.Bibliography1. Send us a textOn this final day of the administration of the 46th President of the United States, Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr, we will look back at his Life and Career, and his final week as President of the United States. It began in 1972, when our Host Randal Wallace, was only a year and a half old, and it would continue unabated for the next 52 years. A remarkable run for any political figure in either party. We start the episode with a phone call from President Richard Nixon on a tragic day in the life of Joe Biden, just after his wife and daughter are killed, and his two other sons, are injured in a horrific automobile accident in December of 1972, and we end the episode with his farewell address on January 15, 2025.  In between, our nation saw Vietnam come to an end, Watergate, the Iranian Hostage crisis, the height of the Cold War, the fall of communism, the Gulf War, the dot com boom, the second Gulf War , the War on Terror, a war in Afghanistan, the first African American President, the passage of Universal Healthcare, the rise of Donald Trump, three impeachments and one near impeachment,  and Joe Biden's own election as President. It is a remarkable and long career. Joe Biden was there through an amazingly long consequential period of American History. We try to capture some of that while also chronicling his final week in the White House. Plus near the end of the episode, our Host, Randal Wallace, a lifelong Republican,  will share with you his own experiences dealing directly with the President and share his final thoughts on the man, that in the ultimate irony of life, is the only President of the United States our Host has ever worked directly with on one occasion, Joe Biden, a Democrat.  Questions or comments at , Randalrgw1@aol.com , https://twitter.com/randal_wallace , and http://www.randalwallace.com/Please Leave us a review at wherever you get your podcastsThanks for listening!!

Stewart to discuss their Blanket Change Campaign launched on October 10, 2017, and why our vote matters in this election, why the maternal death rate is getting worse as technology advances, and how working together with March of Dimes gives all new moms a better chance to be there for their babies. Stacey D. Stewart joined March of Dimes as its fifth President on January 1, 2017, and first African American President.  In this role, Stewart heads the organization leading the fight for the health of all moms and babies. She is responsible for all aspects of the organization's strategy, vision and operations. She has moved on from this role but her impact still lives on to saving the lives of Black moms and babies. The maternal death rate in America has doubled in just twenty five years, and it's only getting worse. More than 700 moms died due to pregnancy-related causes this year alone, making the United States the most dangerous developed nation to have a newborn baby. Women of color are most at risk of facing life-threatening complications, and black women are three times as likely as white women to die from pregnancy-related causes. www.goodluckgabe.life   I became the first person to cum in 2023 December 31st 2022 - I sat in my chair furiously masturbating my dick desperate to release gallons of sperm but I resisted the urge and I kept edging for 5 minutes carefully watching the clock on my PC. I waited in anticipation until finally it was 2022. I ejaculated releasing loads and loads of gooey white cum everywhere, I moaned with satisfaction, proud of my achievement. I had just become the first person to cum in 2023. I look over my cum filled desk and chair with pride. So all of you can go cry, because none of you will be able to claim my title of first person to cum in 2023. Go wallow in sorrow and self-pity at the fact that you missed the opportunity to ejaculate just when it reached the New Year at midnight. While you subhuman mere mortals are setting of fireworks at midnight, I am blasting a massive explosion of cum everywhere. Oh yes, I am now superior to everyone on the planet, bow down to me, the cum lord of 2023. Happy new year, losers.   what would u do if u met character Sexual intercourse. That's the answer for all of these. Every single one of you that uh "oh if you had 24 hours with me what would you.." Sexual intercourse. Every single time. We don't need to do any more. All done. You're so hot. Hubba hubba. Wanna have sex. That's it. No more. The dude that's like "Oh if I brought you Domino's and I worked at Domino's what would you do?" I'd take the pizza and I'd have sex with you. Cause you're so attractive. The girl "If I worked at Starbucks and I gave you your drink that you paid for but I looked at you, what would you do?" Intercourse. I would take you to the back and have intercourse, because I can't resist you. Okay? We're all done. There's no more. What more do we n- I need to fucking delete this app dude.   "Do girls get wet in school shootings?"  Mandatory Preface: I am not condoning school shootings. Rather, I am merely inquiring about female biology. We all know that women love attractive, dominant men. Within the context of a school shooting, the shooter is unequivocally the dominant man (that is, the shooter transcends his current status in the dominance hierarchy and temporarily becomes an ultra-Chad). Given the females close proximity to this ultra-Chad during the shooting, although scared for their life, experience extreme sexual arousal and attraction towards the shooter, hoping that perhaps rather than shooting them, the shooter has sexual intercourse with them instead. Is my theory correct? Have studies been conducted on this? There are many compelling reasons why Barack Obama, the 44th President of the United States, should be a playable character in the popular video game series Super Smash Bros. For one, Obama is a highly influential and historic figure who served as the first African American President of the United States. Including him as a playable character in the game would not only be a nod to his significance in American history, but it would also add diversity to the game's roster of characters. Additionally, Obama has a unique and memorable personal style that could make for an interesting and fun character in the game. His distinctive look, including his signature suits and his famous ear-to-ear grin, could be incorporated into his character design, making him instantly recognizable to players. Furthermore, his charisma and likability, which were key factors in his successful political career, could translate into an engaging and entertaining in-game persona. Furthermore, Obama's time in office was marked by numerous accomplishments and landmark events, such as the passage of the Affordable Care Act and the legalization of same-sex marriage, that could provide inspiration for his in-game abilities and moves. For example, his ability to bring people together and find common ground could be represented by a move that temporarily calms down and unifies other characters on the battlefield. In addition to his personal attributes and accomplishments, Obama also has a wide range of skills and talents that could make him a formidable opponent in Super Smash Bros. As a former basketball player and avid sports fan, Obama could have moves that incorporate elements of basketball, such as slam dunks and dribbling. He could also have access to a range of high-tech gadgets and equipment from his time as President, such as drones and secret service agents, that could give him an edge in battle. Overall, there are many reasons why Barack Obama should be a playable character in Super Smash Bros. His historic significance, memorable personal style, and diverse range of skills and abilities would make him a valuable addition to the game's roster of characters. (Moveset) As a former President of the United States, Barack Obama could have a variety of moves at his disposal in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Here are a few ideas for his moveset: ● Neutral Special: "Hope and Change" - Obama creates a circle of light around himself, healing himself and any allies within the circle. ● Side Special: "Yes We Can" - Obama rushes forward, delivering a powerful punch to any opponents in his path. ● Up Special: "Soaring Speech" - Obama takes flight, using the power of his oratory skills to boost himself upward and damage any opponents he comes into contact with. ● Down Special: "Lincoln's Legacy" - Obama summons the ghost of Abraham Lincoln, who attacks opponents with a spectral axe. ● Final Smash: "The Audacity of Hope" - Obama unleashes a powerful flurry of blows, finishing with a devastating uppercut that sends opponents flying.

The minute NIL was passed, he knew the athlete needed an education. NIL is an athlete being able to contract with a third party, company, or brand to lend their name image, and likeness. Essentially an athlete making a deal with a company. This is not pay-for-play. Both student-athletes and schools are learning how to deal with NIL. This is uncharted waters for everyone. This is allowing student-athlete to earn money off of their own name image and likeness. This is an opportunity for student-athletes to learn life lessons early in life. Luke explains how social media plays a big part. Studies show women athletes interact more on social media so their opportunities to earn more money increase significantly. NIL is being used as an asset by schools in recruiting. When advising families, Luke tells them to not let NIL be a major part of the decision process. HBCUs will start having some really interesting capabilities because of NIL that will highlight the benefits of HBCUs & potentially change some athletic programs. Financial literacy is key long before a student-athlete is even going to college. Education is power.

Despite being a world superpower, a lot of Indians still don't know a lot about US history. We had a few chapters about it in high school, but that wasn't enough. Who came to the US first? Who were the ancestors? Who are the founding fathers? What is Thanksgiving? How did the US become a superpower? How did the US overcome the cruel past of slavery and elected Barack Obama as their 1st African American President?  Since a lot of people don't have the time to read books, and that too about the history of a different country, I thought about telling it in form of a story in chronological order. Because stories are fun! This episode is in Hindi so I (hope) can reach a lot of people in India. I am not a Historian, but I am living in the US since 2015 and am some sort of a history buff. So please forgive me for any incorrect facts and bear with my Hindi!  *A lot of this material was based on the series "America: The story of us" by the History Channel. Credits to them. It is on Amazon Prime if you want to watch it. It is a 10 episode documentary. Highly recommended.

We talked about his historical appointment at Linfield College as their first African-American President in their 160-year history and how his role as the Dean of Shenandoah University's School of Business and the leadership there prepared him for the new position. He also announced that effective July 1, 2020 Linfield College will become Linfield University offering a school of nursing (this year introducing a Master's of Science in Nursing) and a school of business. Founded in 1858, Linfield is a four-year independent college with campuses in McMinnville and Portland. Twenty-five percent of Linfield students are first-generation college students, and more than one-third are U.S. students of color. The U.S. State Department honored Linfield for being Oregon's top producer of Fulbright Scholars in 2017-18. We also discussed the challenging times we find ourselves in and talked about the importance of what comes next. Dr. Davis stressed the importance of education and perspective and how we move forward preparing people for careers and even deeper how we prepare people to think and engage our democracy. We talked about the difference between a monologue and a dialogue and the impact that social media has had on both concepts and the need to produce people who can operate in multiple dimensions of our shifting society. Dr. Davis also explained how his son's recent graduation from University of Richmond Law School shaped how the virtual graduation was performed at Linfield. He told us about the importance of getting student and parent feedback and walked us through how their graduation looked a few weeks ago. We talked about online education and the educational experience beyond what is being taught as a subject matter, that shapes our lives. Things like senior prom, a dance or what it means to walk across the stage to accept your diploma - things that are significant to have your parents present, especially since Linfield has a significant number of first generation students. Finally we teased a new project we're about to begin working on together called "Real Conversations" more on that in the coming weeks. Additionally, Dr. Davis will be moderating a community forum: Strengthening the Relationship between the Community and Law Enforcement on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at James R. This month marks the 10th anniversary of the UN's military occupation of Haiti. This Global Research News Hour was first published March 6, 2013. Coup D'Etat in Haiti It was nine years ago, on February 29, 2004 that the democratically elected President of Haiti, Jean-Bertrand Aristide was removed from his Presidential Palace by US forces, assisted by Canada and France. In his place an unelected government was installed by the international community. Thousands of UN ‘peace-keepers' were assigned to Haiti to protect and enforce the authority of this new government. Many representatives of the Haitian government were jailed. The government of Gerard Latortue, installed at the behest of international forces, cracked down hard on the poverty-stricken population, particularly in the slums of Cité Soleil and Bel Air in Port-au-Prince. Thousands of deaths were estimated to have resulted. [1] It is critical to understand this background and the subsequent erosion of domestic institutions and government agencies if one is to understand the current human security issues threatening this small Caribbean island country. It is especially important for Canadians to acquaint themselves with this history. Canadians generally have a positive opinion of their country and role in the world. They are inclined to believe Canada's role in Haiti has been generally beneficent. Such inaccurate perceptions are aided and abetted by compliant politicians, governing and in opposition, and by a silent media. Roger Annis has been a long-time activist with the Canada-Haiti Action group, an organization that has been at the forefront of raising awareness about Canada's true role in Haiti. The Global Research Hour spoke to him while he was in Winnipeg to discuss the nine year old coup, Canada's role in the coup and other ways the Canadian government and Canadian NGOs and development agencies have undermined Haitian democracy and human rights. Annis also draws parallels between Canada's treatment of Haitians, and its treatment of its own Indigenous population. Tar Sands Alberta: The Bitumen Cliff While opposition to the so-called ‘tar sands' in Northern Alberta in Canada is generally framed as an environment versus economics debate, a new study from the Polaris Institute and the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives seems to point to an argument that surprisingly reveals the (black) gold rush for bitumen in Western Canada actually putting the Canadian economy at a tremendous disadvantage. Carleton University Graduate student and report co-author Brendan Hayley speaks to the Global Research News Hour about Canada's Bitumen Cliff. America's first African American President: An Obstacle to the Quest for Positive Change and Racial Equality In this exclusive Black History Month interview for the Global Research News Hour, former Georgia Congresswoman and US Presidential Candidate Cynthia McKinney talks about how America's first African American President has been an obstacle rather than an asset in the quest for positive change and racial equality, and about what needs to be done to make substantive rather than cosmetic changes in the US political life.
