Fan Mail Me BrrrruuuuunnndenHave you ever silently fumed about your partner's inability to close cabinet doors or their talent for asking questions precisely when your favorite TV show returns from commercial break? You're not alone. This candid, laugh-out-loud episode tackles the things we secretly can't stand about our significant others but never say to their faces. T-Bot rejoins Detto for a no-holds-barred conversation exploring relationship frustrations that simmer beneath the surface of otherwise loving partnerships. From the person who claims their partner "isn't a great kisser" (which prompts us to wonder how they got this far in the relationship) to the universality of snoring driving couples to separate bedrooms, we peel back the layers of what really irritates us about the people we love. The silent treatment gets particular attention—is it emotional warfare or a necessary cooling-off period? We argue both sides while acknowledging that sometimes you just need five minutes before you say something you'll regret.Physical affection differences, decision-making incompatibility, and the special hell of watching TV with someone who can't stop commenting highlight how these seemingly minor irritations reveal deeper relationship dynamics. Throughout our spirited debate, we challenge listeners to consider whether harboring these unspoken complaints is healthy or if honest communication might be the better path.Whether you're nodding along in recognition or taking mental notes about your own relationship habits, this episode offers both laughter and legitimate relationship insights. Recorded March 29, 2025 With a quick schedule this week we go over two game--both losses--with out sharp observations in both. Suffice to say with both games there was plenty to be unhappy about. Even with our Caps doing relatively well this season. Our final segment is this month's Young Blueliner's memories. This one takes to the Spring of 1986 where a younger Blueliner gets rudely introduced to the exquisite torture that is Washington Capitals playoff hockey. Please see above and support. (5:53) The dog days of August are here. Or are they? Considering how cool it's been in the Northeast over the last couple of days has made it feel like October. Which is apropos with the NFL season commencing just four weeks from today. (7:00) What is going on in LA with the Dodgers? Or maybe it's what's in the water in Arizona and San Diego as they've played over the heads to where both teams are just three games back of the Dodgers. Is there any concern that the Dodgers are on the verge of choking the division away? Will the Diamondbacks & Padres eventually cool off? Speaking of which, are the Twins primed to overtake the Guardians in the AL Central, with a four game series taking place between the two this weekend? Baseball is starting to peak here as there are plenty of good series (PHI-ARZ, HOU-BOS, NYM-SEA, STL-KC, BAL-TB) to keep an eye on over the next few days. (26:55) 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk has been the talk in the NFL over the past few days as we'll see where he ends up after requesting a trade earlier this training camp. The two teams that are frontrunners (CLE, PIT) or is there another team laying in the weeds to procure the wideout? Chiefs K Harrison Butler signed the richest contract in NFL history at his position. Is there any more pressure on him to deliver as he secured the bag? (34:50) In the Association, the Utah Jazz re-up on one of their own as Lauri Markkanen signed a max deal to stay in Salt Lake City. Plus, Charles Barkley changes his mind and will honor his TNT contract after the NBA leaves the network after next year. Will his personality work with other sports or events that aren't basketball? (39:57) The NCAA hands down a four year suspension to former Michigan Wolverine coach, Jim Harbaugh, for “unethical conduct” during their championship season. With Harbaugh coach of the Los Angeles Chargers over the next five years, is this suspension weak by the NCAA? (43:22) I haven't been interested or intrigued by anything that's going on at the Summer Olympics in Paris. In fact, I'm upset because the committee is adding flag football as a sport to the 2028 Games in Los Angeles. What's next? Stickball! (47:12) Rafael Nadal will bypass the final Grand Slam of the calendar year in a couple of weeks at the US Open. Is this the beginning of the end for the tennis great? Welcome to The Veterans Disability Nexus, where we provide unique insights and expertise on medical evidence related to VA-rated disabilities.Leah Bucholz, a US Army Veteran, Physician Assistant, & former Compensation & Pension Examiner shares her knowledge related to Independent Medical Opinions often referred to as “Nexus Letters” in support of your pursuit of VA Disability every Wednesday at 7 AM. Leah discusses the connection between orthopedic injuries and military service, particularly in the context of paratroopers. Leah, an ex-paratrooper and medic who became an army officer, acknowledges the high risk of orthopedic injuries like compression fractures and cervical neck problems due to the physical demands of para trooping, especially with static line parachuting and carrying combat loads. They advise veterans with such injuries to pursue medical opinions and VA disability claims. The discussion also covers the interrelation of knee, hip, and back problems, emphasizing the importance of considering all risk factors, including post-service injuries, weight gain, and walking irregularities. The concept of aggravation versus causation in VA disability is explained, particularly in the context of pes planus (flat foot). Aggravation involves the worsening of a pre-existing condition due to service, whereas causation refers to conditions developed during service.Take control of your medical evidence related to your benefits and visit https://www.prestigeveteranmctx.com for more information and support.

Aggravation involves the worsening of a pre-existing condition due to service, whereas causation refers to conditions developed during service. If you would like more information on our services including Independent Medical Opinion Letters often referred to as nexus letters and records review, please check us out HERE

We all know what to do to feel good, so why is it that we can't always be feeling good? We can, as soon as we change our patterns of conditioning. In this episode, Rachel Yellin, founder of The Feel Good Life speaks about healing the body through healing the trauma. Rachel and Matt dive deep into how we can all feel good today, and every day of our lives. Here are some power takeaways from today's conversation: Allow the body to metabolize emotions. Get in touch with your feelings every day. Your issues are in your tissues. Relearn how you actually feel. Undo depression and anxiety through neuroplasticity. [02:38] The Step In Between “Not Feeling Good” and “Feeling Good” If a person is feeling sensations in their body of not getting a particular need met, you've got to allow them to feel. They have to metabolize their emotions for them to pass through, and not land in the body as a permanent lens through which they see all kinds of interactions. Otherwise, if you skip this step and move on to problem-solving right away, the emotional experience stays in the body and it will repeat itself over and over again because the trauma has not been processed and healed. [11:44] Getting In Touch With Your Feelings One of the things that we learn to do as children is to bypass our feelings [so] that we have completely lost our ability to even know how to feel. It's not just your basic emotions, but really check in with your heart. Make it a daily exercise to ask yourself: “How do I feel right now?” Do this 10 times a day until it becomes a habit. [14:33] Our Issues are in Our Tissues Whether it's heartbreak or someone screaming at you, no matter how big or small that trauma is, everything is stored in our tissues. This is why many illnesses, and even mystery illnesses, exist. Aggravation is based a little bit on the current circumstance, and a lot on all the situations that happened in the past. It's cumulative aggravation. And so, we have to go back to relearning how we actually feel. Notable quotes: (Please Choose One) [09:03] When a person is having emotions, they actually have to metabolize their emotions for them to pass through. [09:09] [11:44] One of the things that we learn to do as children is to bypass our feelings… we have completely lost our ability to actually even know how we feel. [12:03] [12:05] Your first order of business as an adult – 10 times a day – stop and ask yourself, ‘How do I feel right now?' [12:13] [14:42] Our issues are in our tissues… this is one of the reasons why there is so much illness. [14:56] [15:49] Aggravation is based a little bit on the current circumstance. It's based a lot on all the situations that happened in the past. It's cumulative aggravation. [16:00] Resources Mentioned: The Feel Good Life Download the Good Mood Toolkit here!
