Dorothy Martin led a pretty normal 1950s housewife life in Chicago, but she was itching for something to do with her spare time. Lucky for us, she landed on doomsday cult leader as a hobby, because her quest eventually led to the development of a foundtional theory of modern psychology.
Dorothy Martin has become one of the most sought-after female rock vocalists that exist. Her solo career is nothing to scoff at either with now 3 top ten hits and a new song called "Mud" that she says is going to be "the party rock workout song of the summer!" Dorothy is back on the Rockcast to tell us about this new tune, her new album, being on tour with Creed, and all those guest spots she's done over the past few years from Staind, to Slash to Dolly Parton. Ladies and gentlemen, it is my honor to once again welcome Dorthoy to Cutter's Rockcast.

It's always great to talk with Scott Stapp. It's even better when he has a new solo album about to drop and a tour with the reunited Creed! We talk about all of this and lots more on this episode of Talkin' Rock with Meltdown. His new album is called Higher Power and comes out on March 15th. He told me about the album, how personal it is to him, and working with guitarist Yiannis Papadopoulos and singer, Dorothy Martin. Dorothy is on a song called "If These Walls Could Talk". Scott told me about getting her on the track. He said after watching her set one night, that he knew immediately that he wanted her on the song. He said she was in tears when she heard the song for the first time. "I'm really excited to share that song with everybody in the world," he said. We also talked about the reformation of Creed. He said they haven't rehearsed yet, but they have a lot of "secrets" that the year will unveil as far as the band is concerned. "We can't wait to rock out!" The show here is just about sold out in Detroit. "It appears we've connected with a whole new generation of fans" through social media. He said getting the band back together was very organic. "I think we all knew it was going to happen at some point, we just didn't know when." He's happy that his kids will be able to see him on stage with Creed. "They really haven't seen what their dad had done earlier in their life" He said he went through a lot of stuff publicly and privately, that he says changed him in a positive way. He takes things one day at a time and wants to remain positive about everything that's going on in his life. He's excited to play the solo dates on tour with Daughtry coming up, as well as the massive Creed tour later this year. Scott's a good guy and I'm happy for him and the band, as well as the fans! It's going to be a huge year for him and I wish him all the best...

This week we meet two prophets, separated by half a world, and three centuries. One is the self appointed son of God, the other talks with Aliens. What happens to prophets, and more importantly - their followers, when prophesies fail? (This episode is a re-do of 2021's Dorothy Martin's Flying Saucer.) Trigger Warning: I hadn't scheduled this with the current situation in Palestine/Israel in mind, but the episode discusses a claimant for the role of Jewish Messiah. I don't know if this needs a trigger warning, but better safe than sorry? Dorothy Martin, vocalist for Dorothy, the band, released her latest album "Gifts from the Holy Ghost" April 22, 2022. The title of Dorothy's album derived from Dorothy witnessing her guitar tech overdosing and literally died. She prayed for him to come back, which he did, and witnessing this grew her spirituality tremendously. Rest in Peace is the first single from "Gifts from the Holy Ghost." Dorothy says it could be interpreted as a break-up song but there are many ways this could relate to the listener as she will explain in this Podcast. Dorothy and LA Lloyd talk about the untimely passing of Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins. In the conversation, she felt the track "Black Sheep" is dedicated to her fans and a perfect song to play for Taylor.

It's days like today when I can't believe I get to do interviews like this! I've been a fan of Jack's for a long time, and when the email came for the chance to talk to him, of course I jumped at it. We talk about his upcoming tour, both of the records he's dropping and his writing process. We get into a little talk about the Rock Hall, being a Detroit musician, and more. I was really excited to talk to Jack and he was really cool. Then, it's my friend, Dorothy. Her new album Gifts From The Holy Ghost drops this spring as she tells me about it. The title refers to an unreal experience that she had on tour a few years ago, which she told me about the last time she was on the show. We talk about a few of the other songs that will be on the album, special guests she has playing and LOTS more. Dorothy is the best and I'm so glad she came on again. Mensimah's Round Table: Conversations with Women of Power and Grace
Dr. Dorothy Martin-Neville is an Executive Leadership Coach, an international speaker and author of eight books. She addresses the issues that exist for all of us who are trying to please everyone, who are striving to be near-perfect, or who are the over-achievers. In working with Executive Women, Dorothy has seen how powerful women have unique ways of doing self-betrayal, in giving their power away. We talk about mindset, mindfulness, emotional intelligence, relationships, leadership, women's empowerment and the courage to living a life of our dreams. She notes: "The grace comes when we lovingly transform ourselves.... and claim our presence." https://www.askdrdorothy.com/ YouTube https://youtu.be/k-JKACkbaOA Stand with Humanity Video on Racism https://fb.watch/9Xkl-SOP1B/
One of the best parts of the holiday season are all of the decorative lights that are put up. It's the new lights in the sky that seem to have far less fanfare. Join Chase as he discusses several stories that help demonstrate the heightened level of UFO's seen during the Holiday season. First up is the famous Kaikoura Lights that appeared in the skies above New Zealand in December of 1978 and were even captured by a TV Film crew. Then we go to Oak Park Illinois, where on Christmas Eve, 1954 a group of people gathered to follow Dorothy Martin in what promised to be a life changing paranormal encounter.
Dorothy Martin, namesake and vocalist for the band Dorothy, shares her struggle with addiction, trauma, and suicidality on the latest episode of Going There with Dr. Mike from Consequence and Sound Mind Live. The “What's Coming to Me” discusses the emotional and spiritual issues that often accompany addiction and mental illness in general, including not being comfortable in social situations and feeling disconnected and isolated from others. She also recounts a recent relapse, and the guilt and shame that can surround us when we drink after being sober. Dorothy further talks about how she has coped with addiction in general, as well as this relapse, in particular through spirituality. For her, she finds the concepts of forgiveness and grace as key to her ongoing recovery and sobriety. So let's go there with Dorothy by listening to the episode above. To succeed in your business and further yourself you have to create the right mindset. My guest, Dorothy A. Martin-Neville, Ph.D., has learned about the power of mindset firsthand and through her teachings. Her success hinged on her curiosity and her ability to reframe the stories she told herself. I'm so excited for you to hear this conversation! You'll be fascinated by Dorothy's inspiring story and be ready to take action to improve your mindset and reframe your stories. Press play now to listen to these words of wisdom. You will want to hear this episode if you are interested in... Dorothy's story [1:52] How too much success affected Dorothy [11:21] Creating a mindset to keep going [14:50] Building a mindset for success [20:15] How reframing your stories can change your future [23:24] The money questions [30:15] How Dorothy transitioned from being an orphan to becoming a nun to becoming a pioneer in integrative health Dorothy A. Martin-Neville, Ph.D. wasn't always an international speaker, best-selling author, Executive Leadership Coach, and a world-class pioneer in integrative health. She had a long and arduous journey that started in an orphanage and led her to the housing projects of South Boston. These challenging formative years gave her an inner strength that many people can only dream of. She remarks that after her difficult upbringing, success was her only option. After graduating from a non-accredited Catholic high school, the only positive future that Dorothy felt she could attain at the time was to become a Catholic nun. Once she achieved this goal, her sense of adventure led her to become an international airline stewardess. When she divorced her husband and became a single mom, Dorothy knew that she would have to figure out how to make ends meet on her own, so she put herself through graduate school and became a wildly successful therapist. Listen in to discover how her work in therapy led to her creating a college course and how she has now become a pioneer in integrative health. Don't ask why, ask why not Despite, or perhaps because of, Dorothy's humble upbringing, she always knew she wanted more. She had the curiosity and the mindset to see more of the world and to strive for more. Instead of asking herself why should I do that, she asked why not? The question why not led her to see the world as an airline stewardess, to seek work that feeds her soul, and to make the world a better place through her pioneering work in integrative healthcare. Reframe your stories Burnout comes when we forget who we are. It is easy to get lost in where you are now. One way to combat this is to reflect on your feelings and emotions. Periods of reflection give you permission to develop the mindset to remember your own spiritual journey and walk your own path. Upon reflection, you'll realize that you can choose your emotions and reframe the way you create your stories. The life that you have created is not who you are rather the life that you created is because of who you are. Your mindset defines the stories you tell yourself and what you can accomplish. Think about how your stories are limiting your life. How could you tame the monkeys in your mind and reframe your stories to go beyond your self-imposed limits? Listen to this episode with Dorothy Martin Neville to help you take a peek into your own mind so that you can break free of your self-imposed limits. Anna and Mark discuss the 1950's short lived movement called The Seekers, or sometimes called The Rapurists. Started by Dorothy Martin, a once Scientologist, she receives a message from the aliens that the world is going down and they need to get off. After a few failed attempts, or maybe a misreading of the calendar, the group disbands. Mark and Anna both immediate recall the Parks and Rec episode with a similar plot line. Mark enjoys covering a group with no violence or crime, but of course Anna has to ruin the vibe with a teaser for upcoming episodes and it will not stay g-rated. The extraterrestrial comedy podcast Christmas Special 2020 where we probe Dorothy Martin and her band of merry Seekers. That's right, we are bringing you an extra Christmas Special episode this week probers! Dorothy was a lady who foresaw that a UFO would land outside her house and take her followers from the earth on Christmas Eve, 1954. This would save the Seekers from a great flood. What happens when aliens don’t turn up on time though? Will they turn up on the next day instead? Who were the Seekers? Who popped round to Dorothy’s for Christmas Dinner? We also learn what Granville thinks of Christmas and Granville also appears to be starting his own religion (Praise Lord Voldemort). As an allegedly truthfully educational podcast, we also drop some psychosocial science on your butts, exploring the origin of the theory of cognitive dissonance. Here’s a question for you… If you had been stood up by an alien three times, how confident would you be of the alien showing up the fourth time around? Confident enough to issue a press release announcing the scheduled arrival? All that and more on this week’s file. Spending her first few years in an orphanage and later being adopted by a violent Irish alcoholic cop, Dr Dorothy learned early the need for self-determination and following your dreams. She learned as well that nothing is impossible unless you believe it is. Her journey as a Catholic nun, an international airline stewardess, wife, mother, divorcee, founder of 4 companies, leader in the field of integrative health, and so much more shows that what experiences and who we bring into our businesses depends far more on how you lived, your personal beliefs, and your willingness to risk than any outside factors. "This adventure at Redeemer has assuredly been a roundelay. A song that moves in circles. Beginning as songs do, in the choir room, it is circling out and about the community; up to Rise & Shine; over, under, around, and through Knittin' Kittens; on Sacred Ground; over the hill to Second-Half; and always into the prayerful heart of Bible Study." Anny Stevens-Gleason speaks with Dorothy Martin about her experiences becoming a member at Church of the Redeemer. From choir to Thursday Morning Bible Study, Dorothy tells her story with beautiful prose. A story within a story.

She says chances are that he doesn’t realize it. Enjoying continued growth in her personal life, Dorothy talks about recently becoming sober. For her, alcohol was leading to countless negativity in her life and was something that had to go. Hear about her struggles and how sobriety has effected her in a positive way. She’ll be doing some touring in 2018, hitting the road with Greta Van Fleet and playing a handful of festivals throughout the years. Dorothy has a strong relationship with Linda Perry of Four Non Blonde who has helped her immensely in terms of her music and growth personally. Promo Brady described them as “The Dynamic Duo or Batman and Robin”. Hear about their close relationship and more on episode 54 of the DOMKcast.
