Yesterday, we received news via Deadline about a One Tree Hill reboot coming to Netflix, with Hilarie Burton Morgan, Sophia Bush and Danneel Ackles producing the series and reprising their roles from the OG. Of course, we had to record an emergency podcast to unpack this! We chat about our complicated feelings about this. Will it do the characters justice? What about Haley? How would it continue if some of the original cast were not to return? How are they navigating the fact that He Who Shall Not Be Named will get credit? Also, we talk about how this show could potentially center on Rachel Gatina, rather than Brooke and Peyton. Let us know your thoughts on social media!Be sure to leave us a review on Apple Podcasts! Episode 5: The New Day gets back to their origin story with the tale of how they finally broke free of their poorly-received preacher characters and convinced He Who Shall Not Be Named to let them embrace the villainous personas they'd been pushing for all along. You're a wizard! He's a wizard! She's a wizard! Everyone's a wizard this week as we jump on board the Hogwarts Express with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. It is the intro to the wizarding world and the kick-off of one of the highest grossing film series of all time. While it may be the first year for Harry, Ron and Hermione, they soon find out to have quite a bit more on their plate than trying to pass their potions final. I honestly enjoy the first one so much as it's able to do such a bang-up job at taking us into the world of Hogwarts and I just have so many good memories from watching it as a kid. I'm in no way, shape or form (magical or non-magical), a massive Harry Potter fan by any means, but these movies are still some good wizarding fun. While the 2001 CGI sequences may not be anything to purchase the snack cart for, the film makes up for in giving us a decent sendoff into the wizarding world along with a fully stacked cast to make up these lively, legendary characters of Rowling's. Can Harry and his magical trio uncover the truth at Hogwarts, stop Vol... I mean, He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named and tell these bad reviewers it's "Levi-OOOOH-sa not LevioSAR?" Tune in to find out! If you enjoyed the episode, please rate and share! It goes such a long way and I am so grateful for all of the support. And hey, if you do leave a review of the show, you will be featured as well! How neat is that? Also, be sure to give my official Ko-Fi page a gander. In this week's somewhat rushed episode, Joel briefly talks about HBO Max's The Prince and presents a fan fiction double feature relating to the 2020 Games, with stories featuring Mario and Sonic as well as Harry Potter and He Who Shall Not Be Named. In this episode of The Chris and Andre Show, the guys talk about a ton of football, spend the bulk of their time on their vegan eating habits, remember Ruth Bader Ginsburg's contributions to the United States, chat about social media's impacts on society, and get local as they share their opinions on the Raleigh suburbs. (00:02:37) Sports - The guys discuss Andre's Broncos, Chris's Russell Wilson has the hot hand, the Chargers gave Mahomes a scare while Justin Herbert looked good, Chris wonders if Philip Rivers is “done,” the guys experience some brief technical difficulties, then Andre catches Drake's new Popstar video featuring Justin Bieber. Back to sports, Chris hopes Rivers has a Peyton Manning-esque farewell, Andre says it's all about the O-line, the guys debate Cam Newton's potential with the Patriots, Andre explains why he's not a Falcons fan like his brothers. (00:19:57) Cooking - An impromptu text from a former coworker shifts the topic to food. Andre says he's almost perfected his meat replacement recipe, Chris shares his experience with Very Good Butchers as well as his secret to the best mashed potatoes he's ever had, Andre redefines his diet as “plant-based first” and explains why, the guys share some breakfast recipes, Chris tells Andre he needs a mandolin then asks Andre if he wants to swap (recipes), the guys debate the appeal of sweet potatoes, Chris talks about his at home Impossible Burger experience, the guys talk about what to grill now that they're vegan and cheese alternatives they prefer and geek out on Dave's Killer Breads, Chris shares a hipster coffee house experience in the mountains, and the guys laugh about how they both became vegans at the same time. (00:48:31) Politics - The guys discuss the passing of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, the Republicans' decision to try and push through a new nominee, the potential widening of the Supreme Court, the feeling of impending doom that grips most of the United States right now in the midst of the election and the pandemic. (00:58:58) Social Media - A recent viewing of The Social Dilemma by Andre takes the guys down a new rabbit hole, calling out the “geniuses” behind online tracking and profile building while sharing stories about their experience in social media realm, then the conversation focuses on asking where the real leadership has been all along and where you draw the line between what you can do and what you should do. Lastly, Chris complains about people looking for 5 minutes of fame over masks, and Andre shares his experience with people not wearing masks. (01:20:12) Politics...again? - The guys congratulate themselves for avoiding He Who Shall Not Be Named for the majority of the podcast, Andre points out how low voter participation is in the United States compared to the rest of the democratic world. Thinks take a local turn as Chris sarcastically thanks Morrisville for finally fixing a pothole, which causes the guys to come to the realization that Morrisville is the Long Staten Island of the Raleigh suburbs. (01:33:25) Andre's Monologue - Andre takes a moment to address the audience about the upcoming election and how we can get back to having open dialogues about the issues we face. Take a listen. (01:37:19) That's a wrap - The guys start to talk about Bubba Wallace before they run out of recording space on Chris's computer...

That's right--an entirely He Who Shall Not Be Named-free episode! Is the big story the end of China's ascendancy? The decline of the EU? The pandemic? Russia's return on its investments in destabilizing the West? Bucs get a road win against division opponent Carolina Panthers, breaking Jameis’ 12-game lose streak on the road. The defense looks stellar. We discuss rising stars Shaq Barrett, Jordan Whitehead, Vita Vea and Kevin Minter. The offense is yet to fire on all cylinders, but Jameis played a smart game, turning the ball over zero times, making good decisions, and taking sacks when necessary. The offensive line plays nasty. Plus, He Who Shall Not Be Named gets angry for the first time in his career. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/buccaneers-observer/message

Hey girl,嘿,姑娘:So it's a Monday night, you have your wine, Twitter is open and you are live-tweeting The Bachelor thinking to yourself, "Where is my rose?" Let me tell you, Neely, once you are married, these Bachelor nights will not look much different. Only instead of wine, you'll be eating dinner with your husband, still live-tweeting. Anyway, Single Neely, enjoy this time. Not because it's better than marriage — trust me, marriage is better. But enjoy it because you should be appreciating time with yourself and learning who you are. Go out with your friends more. Do all the happy hours, drink all the wines, and flirt with the cute waiter. Why? Because WHY NOT?! When that guy ghosts you after three great dates, it stings. Put your party flag up because this week we are talking about Final Fantasy XI, the 2002 MMORPG by Square. We have wanted to do an episode on this game for a long time and we are joined by our resident MMOlogist, Shawn Miller of #MoreMiller fame. All three of us played this game at its height and to be honest, we barely scratch the surface, but we do have a lot of fun reminiscing about our time that we spent in Vana'diel. We talk about the Mystery Package again that we opened last week, and we open a new package. This one is full of treats from listeners Bunny and Kira. We tell stories about our gross early apartments. Dave contributes to the stray cat population epidemic. And perhaps most notable for TADPOG Lore Masters, He Who Shall Not Be Named...is named. We had so much fun recording this one that we would like to continue it some day; we hope you enjoy. SHOW NOTES EPISODE 86: AMERIKA ÜBER ALLES This week Host Dave Bledsoe sits down with everyone's favorite frog and talks about how it's not easy being green--no, not THAT one, the other one, the Nazi Frog. Man, Kermit must be pissed right now. Our show talks about He Who Shall Not Be Named choice for Senior White House Strategy Advisor and Propaganda Minister Steve Bannon. This will not be pleasant for anyone, frankly we are still trying to shower the stink off us in the research department. Along the way we discover that Joe Biden personally whacked Andrew Breitbart (He didn't) how much Orange America loves minorities (they don't) and Dave's knack for making analogies with truly disturbing sex acts in truck stop bathrooms. (don't ask.). We take a look at the spike in incidents of making America great in school cafeterias and public transportation and wonder when we are going to stop winning so much! (In about four years) We also propose a final solution for the Alt Right. We try to reach out the the White Working Class and find common ground only to find we don't have any. It should be a fun show. Promotional consideration by the Campaign to Repeal Godwin's Law, because sometimes they really ARE Nazis!
