The Agency Brief The Militia Act of 1792: Federal Mandate for Private Firearm Ownership Five months after ratifying the Second Amendment (December 1791), the same Congress passed the Militia Acts in May 1792.   The Two Acts May 2, 1792 – Calling Forth Act -  Authorized the President to call the militia into federal service. May 8, 1792 – Uniform Militia Act - Mandated private armament and established uniform national standards (passed on the final day of the session).   Reason for Passage A direct response to St. Clair's Defeat (November 1791), the worst U.S. military loss of the era. Congress responded by: Expanding the professional army (the Legion of the United States) Requiring citizens to arm themselves as a ready reserve — ensuring the nation didn't rely on a large standing army many feared could threaten liberty   Who Was Enrolled “Each and every free able-bodied white male citizen” aged 18–45. Double Tap Episode 436 This episode of Double Tap is brought to you by: Midwest Industries, Gideon Optics, Medical Gear Outfitters, Blue Alpha, and Die Free Co.   Welcome to Double Tap, episode 436! Your hosts tonight are Jeremy Pozderac, Aaron Krieger, Nick Lynch, and me Shawn Herrin, welcome to the show!   - Dear WLS Dragon Arcadia - In WLS Episode 617, Dungeon Daddies, at 38 min 41 sec on Rumble, Aaron begins talking about how much he hated the steel-frame Canik because it was too heavy. “It literally weighed over 10.17 pounds.” Shawn says that it weighs just under 3 pounds, so about the same as a 2011. Aaron says there's no way, and he's going to look up the weights to prove himself right. Shawn moves on and says they'll get back to that after Aaron looks it up, but it never gets brought up again. I have an unrelated question for Aaron. How much does a steel-frame Canik weigh compared to a Staccato? Thanks guys! P.S. While looking through Rumble to find the episode, I kept getting ads for the ROTO 12 Compact Shotgun. Please look it up; I really want to see your reactions to this thing. Shane H - I am a 07/02 FFL - Aero Precision used to be my go-to place for budget friendly parts with good quality. However, over the past year they have been impossible to deal with. They have made some changes and it's like I have to beg them to take my money. They also never answer emails or calls... Who would you recommend for AR-15 parts? Mainly looking for Uppers, Lowers, and Handguards... Thanks in advance Ray G - What's up bitches. What are your opinions on the Foxtrot Mike “Mike 45”? I have a Mat9 currently for a PCC and I love it! So I figured if I have a 9mm I better get a 45 so it has a friend. I know they are currently out of stock at the time of writing this but wanted to get a feel on what you guys thought. If you suggested the Mike45, what barrel length? Suppressor? Or I should go a different route totally. Thanks for answering my question. P.S. Fuck Aaron Duran84 - I want to get into thermals, My budget is 2k. I have a Rix tourer night vision that sparked my interest in night hunting. My only complaint is scanning with the optic on the gun is tiresome. Should I get a monocular or a scope, so it could be dual purpose with a QD mount? What are some recommendations that the crew has thanks.   Standard Arms - Show is great. Thank you for serving our community. I am small kitchen table FFL. It's been a great ride, with a healthy dose of fear! I am thinking about a laser engraver. I would want to it to be capable of properly marking firearms if I need to. ( the ATF spec of .003 inch depth I believe). If I'm investing in a laser engraver I'd use it to put my logo on stuff like magazines, key chains etc. This would probably be something that I would look at in a year and wonder why the F did I buy this thing. That being said I'd really like to spend as little as possible. Thanks. Zac C - A- Aron, My gun shop shouldn't charge for transfers Shawn, Aaron, your being retardedAlso Shawn, This company that came up with a great idea to put airline policies on a QR code and sell them for $30 should do it for free cause it's a sErViCe tO ThE CoMmunITy That is all. ARDREW479 Your Mom - Let's talk about pistol recoil springs and how they impact reliability. I recently added a Radian Afterburner + Ramjet to my Glock 19X and also swapped in the Radian Compressor adjustable guide rod. The Compressor includes 13, 15, and 18lbs springs. I started with the 18lbs spring and it functions properly with both 115 and 124s. Would swapping to the lighter weight spring provide any value? Is it better to stick with the heavy spring? Thoughts? Dependable Don - I was relistening to crawler Carl and heard the ai mention hucow fiction. I looked it up and I'm scared. What are your opinions on hucow?   The winner of this week's swag pack is Ray G!

Double Tap Episode 435 This episode of Double Tap is brought to you by: Night Fision, Blue Alpha, Die Free Co., Second Call Defense, Mitchell Defense, and Swampfox Optics   Welcome to Double Tap, episode 435! Your hosts tonight are Jeremy Pozderac, Aaron Krieger, Nick Lynch, and me Shawn Herrin, welcome to the show! Agency 171 Jeremy - Future operatives, tonight, We speak to you from the hidden vaults of a legacy long whispered but never fully revealed. For years, our loyal listeners have stood with us in what we called "the cult," a bond forged in fire and fun. But the time has come to shed that skin and ascend to something deeper, something etched in the crimson ink of history. Nick - Welcome to Agency 171, a clandestine brotherhood born in the aftermath of our nation's founding, dedicated to the unyielding defense of liberty against those who seek to divide and disarm. No more mere cultists; you are now Operatives, rising through the ranks from Recruit to Director in the Covert Conclave. Your pledge isn't just support—it's an oath, unlocking exclusive intel, relics like the Loyalty Coin, and the power to strike back at tyranny. Savage - The old cult is nullified. Agency 171 is the future, step into the shadows. The Mandate watches, but we endure. Isn't it interesting how much the number 171 comes up in daily life? You'll see it everywhere—a sign, a call, your destiny. Lock and load, Operatives. The Agency awaits. Shawn - This is our new listener support program. Everyone who is a cult member will be migrated automatically tomorrow morning. You don't need to do anything except check your email (check spam). You'll get an email with details and you can take a look at the rewards and upgrade if you'd like. Way more rewards, way more fun and has so much more coming. There is even a game with all the cast and YOU as the main character. There will be missions (describe missions) with prizes as well. I have big plans for this and can't wait for what's to come.  After this week, after giving everyone a chance to upgrade, I'm giving away a gun to a random operative. I have many to get rid of and the Agency is where it'll be happening.   Agency 171 is a fictional secret society created as a fun rebrand for the "We Like Shooting" podcast's listener support model. In the lore, it's a clandestine organization founded in the early 1800s (post-1789) to defend absolute 2A rights against the Mandate for Divisive Action (MDA), a made-up deep-state cabal that promotes gun control. Listeners "join" as Operatives through monthly pledges (from Recruit at $5 to Director at $60+), unlocking exclusive perks like bonus content, merch (e.g., stickers, coins), and community access in the Vault. It's all for entertainment—support the show, get in on the mystery, and fight "tyranny" with humor and gear.   Dear WLS Spenser F - Looking to get a century arms mp5sd. Wondering what can you guys would recommend that would fit under the 1.5" handguard and still be super quiet? I was going to go with the bowers vers 9 but it's diameter is 1.7. Thanks Lenny W - You guys ever think about doing a section about what's new in 3D prints in the gun world every week? Alex W - Hey y'all. I've heard a lot of stories about fish and game cops trying to jail people over defensive wildlife shootings. I was wondering if that was something 2nd call defense would help with or if they only deal with cases involving human assailants? NightWasher513 Tx - Let me first say that finding this page without manually typing in the words “dashboard “. And if you look at the transcript to get the right link on Double Tap 425 it says the link is wedelikeshooting.comdashboard. Yeah that doesn't exactly work. But anyway, my two part question is. If you 3rd print a MAC 11 and design your own pistol brace, could the ATF say that's a stock not a brace? And could you even SBR your own custom built rifle? Last question,

Your hosts tonight are Jeremy Pozderac, Aaron Krieger, Nick Lynch, and me Shawn Herrin, welcome to the show! Krampus- http://welikeshooting.com/krampus   - Dear WLS David K - Shot tons of guns and suppressors on multiple platforms, but a buddy recently picked up an FN 509 and said it was a good host. So, what makes a gun a "good suppressor host"? whoever readsthisisgay - Why won't Xtech ship their freedom extensions to mag-restricted states? I travel outside my home state regularly to shoot and want to be able to swap out my spring/baseplate when I go to free states. Also, it's a spring and baseplate, not a magazine; there are no laws restricting them, and if someone wants to disobey unjust laws in an act of civil disobedience, that's on them. Nick's OtherLover - "Im looking at suppressors. Im not a db hoe, I just want it to tame the noise a bit. My biggest concerns are flash mitigation and small size. Before you say shit about earpro, I keep my Sordins on so I can talk shit to my friends over radio. Some notes." Spenser F - Now that new frontier armory is out of business. Is there another company that makes mp5 mag lowers for the ar9? Sour Nut - If a wood chuck could chuck wood, would they pick a red dot to put on a revolver? If so, what red dot would it be? I bought a S&W TRR8 need to put a dot on it for maximum fuckaround points, also actually deer hunting with it. No Notes Carpet Beaver - I would like to practice some dry firing. I'm looking at the dry fire mag and Mantis system. Have you tried these two together. P365XL. I know you guys have ran the Mantis system before and wondered if it works in conduction with the dry fire mag. Preferably a trigger resetting system that works with a laser target system. Any info would help. Thanks Zack K - "What is your most hated gun and why? I'll start the walther PK380. It has a shit take down where you need a “key”, low capacity for the size, safety only with no decocker, and very limited aftermarket." Lieutenant Ovbious - Let's be real, the best part about the tax stamp going to zero is that the used market on suppressors is going to go crazy. Double Tap Episode 433   This episode of Double Tap is brought to you by: Midwest Industries, Gideon Optics, Die Free Co., RMA Defense, Bowers Group, Mitchell Defense, and Rost Martin   Welcome to Double Tap, episode 433! Your hosts tonight are Jeremy Pozderac, Aaron Krieger, Nick Lynch, and me Shawn Herrin, welcome to the show!   Krampus- http://welikeshooting.com/krampus - Dear WLS   Nick F - you can replace your laugh or a cast members laugh with any animal sound. who and what sound are you choosing?   Pete O. Eraser - This question is for Jeremy, since I don't value any of you faggots' opinions. If you could only have five blades to deal with TEOTWAWKI, what would you choose? I'd do a puuko knife for fine details, a full tang Ka-Bar for a steak knife and general knife work, a kukri made from a leaf spring from a truck for silent offensive use, a cheap machete for clearing brush and general hacking and slicing of communists, and a tomahawk-style hand axe for larger branches and grappling   Ethan - Do any of your 3d printer nerds know where I can find an STL for a lower that takes scorpion mags? MP5 mag lower works too.PS Jeremy is a cunt, but the good kind.   HugMuffin Actual - Dear Esteemed Gentlemen. I'm currently re-welding a Skorpion VZ 61 parts kit, and this is my first exposure to this ancient yet adorable .32 ACP cartridge. Do you see modern-day firearm manufacturers rediscovering and embracing this underused cartridge? Does it have potential in micro-compact pistols, suppressors, and for limp-wristed nancy-boys like me? Cheers, and extra-special hugs for you all! HugMuffin. NO NOTES   Ryan H - I have a 320 in a Strike Industries chassis. It has the strike industry folding brace. Their brace is a blade style. I am using a section of a bike inner tube as a large rubber band to hold Allen wrenches and an extra battery on that brace. The rubber band completely wraps around the brace blade, which could be considered “padding”? Do you think this is breaking the law and turning it into a shoulder-able stock? P.S. I put a Gideon Alpha on it and am very pleased. Thanks for the recommendation.   Kermit Thee Frog - Just wanted to follow up on my previous question about the Warhawk 3-15. A couple weeks before you guys got to my message I stumbled on an Athlon Helos BTR Gen2 4-20 for just over 500 doll hairs. It has locking turrets and zero stop while also decent weight for its class. I've been able to use it to shoot out to 900, 1100 and a 16x16 plate at 1300 yards with a 20” 6.5 Grendel AR. I'm really impressed with the glass quality and eye relief. The turrets also feel really good. The image gets a little dark at 20x as well as tight exit pupil but I don't think it's really that bad at all for this price point. I've been shooting the 16x16 plate at 1300 on 16x and can clearly see my hits without any purple fringing or other clarity issues. For the price of this optic I would highly recommend it.Also I have to say the Grendel has really surprised me. I was planning on switching out to 6 ARC but so far the Grendel has surpassed my expectations for what I use this rifle for."   Fuhh Q Shawn - Are there any companies that make a fixed stock, like Magpul, that fit over a standard carbine buffer tube?   Randy Randy - I got a rost martin rm1c. The manual mentions MOS but when I emailed rost martin they said I had to use a plate since theirs is special. But I thought I heard one of you say you directly mounted the MOS gideon. So did I mishear or do I need to use the rmr plate? The winner of this week's swag pack is HugMuffin Actual! To win your own, go to welikeshooting.com/dashboard and submit a question! The recoil is a bit excessive for 5.56. I understand that is going to be a thing with a shorty, but I'm sure there are ways to mitigate it somewhat. I have a no-name linear comp that is ok until I pick up a suppressor, but am open to suggestions for muzzle devices. I also think an adjustable gas block would be a good start. Any suggestions on the best for the money? What else should I look for to break the spirit on this little blaster? Thanks Zac C - Hey guys, just started looking for my son's first deer rifle for his 13th birthday. I'd like to stay around 600 or less not including optic. Figured I couldn't go wrong with a .243 youth rifle with a 3x9 or a 4-12 scope. What rifle would y'all suggest? Thanks! Shoot straight! Notes- Hi Dan. Y'all Cunts - What's up gents. I'm planning on buying a GIRSAN INFLUENCER X in the near future. I've heard nothing but good things from a few guys I know the have them. My question is the valor mini to small for it and what light would you guys recommend? I'll probably already have it fully decked out by the time you read this but keep on keeping on. Miss Ogynist - My Dishwasher is broke. Should I replace or just write her a check? Joe E - Just listening to DoubleTap 423 and I swear to Christ Jeremy is trolling me personally at this point. I'm also a Marine that was in Horno 05-07 and was stationed in Ft Leonnardwood from 00-01. Big Louies was the greatest stripe club ever, bring your own bucket of beer! Sucks that they got shut down. I don't remember Jeremy but feel I would if I had seen his giant ass walking around. I'm a POG (5711) so not crossing paths is not shocking, but Horno is a small as camp and the Marine Det on Leonardwood is tiny as well, so maybe just missed him. Jeremy do you remember the taxi driver with the gimpy arm that kept his glove boxes full of porno's? Can't remember his name wonder if he was still around. Did you end up in the old ass white squad bays while you were in MAT Platoon? Follow up to the suppressor move question that you all answered for me. Having to move back to a completely none friendly state, I am leaving them with inlaws in a safe they have no access too. I will have an ID for the friendly state, but my drivers license and residency will be in the none friendly state. Will that stop me from continuing to purchases NFA items, or I am able to purchase them in the friendly state with my ID and leave them there?" Boomer with Garands - Who wrote and performed the theme song to "Double Tap"? What are the lyrics to the whole tune, and where can I download the complete song? It's very catchy! Notes- "After thorough and exhaustive examination of the material in question, I can confidently and unequivocally state that there are no further suggestions, observations, or amendments that would be required or deemed beneficial at this particular juncture. The work stands as is, complete and without need for any additional commentary or revision from my side." --ChatGPT's version of "No Notes" #StopPostingBlueAlphaCodesOnReddit #0.8xListener Mikoks Bigrthanyerz - What is required to have Shawn (I'm TCCC cert because of my #SSB) Herein come teach medical classes in our state? Your hosts tonight are Jeremy Pozderac, Aaron Krieger, Nick Lynch, and me Shawn Herrin, welcome to the show! -Pew.Deals -Krampus!   Dear WLS OutLore:  So... apart from Jeremy who doesn't use an optic on his EDC because we all know he's a manly hero man that don't need nothing more than iron sights.   What optics do y'all run on your EDC guns? Not just "Swampfox" or "Gideon" just because they're sponsors.. if you're running a Trij or Vortex or Holosun or some other chinese crap or whatever, say so.   Second to this, if the first question wasn't enough... what do you actually have in your rotation? For me it's Shield Plus, or M&P2.0 Fullsize depending on dress/weather. (That's how I'm dressed according to the weather, not whether I'm dressed at all, because if I'm naked then it's a Mossberg 590A1 and a Bodyguard in my prison pocket.)   Jassnibbler:  22 cans. Rugged oculus vs bitty. ?   I Need A Cool Name:  Heritage rough rider (or similar, cheap .22 revolver), send out for barrel to be threaded, add suppressor. Yay or gay? Would that work and be quiet? How about drill and tap for red dot mount?   Karl F:  Hey guys, love the show, keep it up. There are many semiautomatic handguns that don't have manual safeties and personally I prefer them that way. I realized, however, that we rarely see semiautomatic rifles that lack manual safeties. Is there a reason for this, or perhaps am I just ignorant of their existence? Thanks #blamecanada   Zac C:  I have had this question on my mind for sometime, and it recently came back to me during your recent show with Night Fision.   Why is it that so many gun companies and gun accessory companies reside in non gun friendly states?   I can somewhat understand the older company's like Remington and Ruger, and until recently Smith and Wesson, as I assume they were there before the state went stupid. But why are companies like Night Fision starting up companies in states that don't support what they do. I know it easy for me to say move, but I wouldn't want to have my company in a state that is actively trying to shut down the very thing that puts food on my table. So why are companies in very well known non gun friendly states.   Tom P:  I am moving and I sold my gun safe. I am looking to get something like secureit gunstorage. Basically cabinets that are full strength but not fireproof. Im no poor, but I have a larger collection so I am hoping I can find something a little more affordable. Stack-On seem like trash, and secureit is the top end. Is there nothing in the middle? Have you seen or used anything else? I am currently using surplus weapons cabinet from the army - but they only fit shorter guns.   I appreciate the time, -Tom   Naught Gape Horn:  What size suppressor would you use for a Remington 700 chambered in .22-250?   The winner of this week's swag pack is Tom P! Should it be- Henry Big Boy/Roscoe Marlin 1894/Ruger SP101 S&W 1854/ Model 19 or 640 pro As you might imagine, trying before I buy isn't much of an option. I'm leaning S&W because that's my go-to. My second choice would likely be the Ruger built option, because I'm from NH. Jeremy, STFU about the 454 Casul Aaron, you just generally STFU. Thanks, Mike whoever readsthisisgay - I was thinking of picking up a p365 but was hearing about issues of the trigger reset spring failing and causing the gun to go dead. Have you guys ever experienced this, or have a solution if it is a problem? I like the gun for its concealability but if the trigger doesn't reset, it's about as useful as a uvula in an anus. Your hosts tonight are Jeremy Pozderac, Aaron Krieger, Nick Lynch, and me Shawn Herrin, welcome to the show!   Dear WLS Ryan W - Good evening gents So I want to theoretically bury around 15 ar's in an undisclosed location. What's the most economic way to keep them in good condition for about 20 years? I have some standard food safe grade plastic barrels. Should I just add guns and motor oil? Thanks for the insight. JD - After the first of the year what are we going to have to do to register an ar pistol as a sbr do we have to go to a ffl? Shane H - I know it was talked about a while ago but I can't find the episode. Who do you recommend for firearm collection insurance? One that does not require serial numbers if possible. Is it a separate policy from your FFL or just one policy? Thomas L - What was your favorite thing you saw at goals? Zachary V - Hello, not to get too technical and make this a huge list, but looking into getting my bug-out bag done. What are the essentials that should be prioritized first and what is something that you include in yours that most people wouldn't have considered? Notes? No? Trucker Matt - If you had to pick the perfect "backpack gun" and concealable handgun combo that uses the same ammunition, what is each cast member's combo of choice? For example, a 9mm HK SP5K and Glock 19, an AR pistol in .22LR with a folding buffer and FN 502, a Diamondback DBX 5.7 and FN Five-Seven (bonus points for magazine compatibility), a Chiappa 1892 Alaskan Takedown in .357 Magnum, and Ruger SP101. Drink a tall glass of pineapple juice every day. It's good for your gut health and your significant other will thank you for it. capt.doogie howser - I have recently started a business, and am using social media as a marketing tool. What recommendations do you have for tools or assets to use to improve my reach and content quality? Logan G - Shawn, First question (not gun related), you have mentioned playing hockey quite a bit, and it sounds like you play in the Springs. I play PIHA and inline, and I was curious if you did too? If so, I'm sure you have wanted to fight me at some point… whoops.Gun-related question, saving up for a semi-auto shotgun for home defense and fun as well. Your hosts tonight are Jeremy Pozderac, Aaron Krieger, Nick Lynch, and me Shawn Herrin, welcome to the show! pew.deals - Dear WLS Trucker Matt - Oh boy, this is gonna be a long one. Multiple questions. I'd apologize for it, but you guys are like the Dr. Ruth of the gun world, minus the sex advice, thank god.  It's my understanding from listening over the years that possession of both full auto M16/M4 lower parts kit with the auto sear and M16-cut lower receivers is fully legal as long as the dreaded third hole is not drilled in the lowers. Do you guys know which manufacturers sell lowers with the M16-cut instead of the high shelf? Just curious (not bi-curious, A-Aron) for reasons... Jeremy, do the RET4RD lowers have the M-16 cut, and if so, do you have any left available?  I have a 6.5 Creedmoor AR10 that I pieced together using Aero M5 lower, upper and handguard, Spikes BCG and Criterion 18inch barrel. I have a Vortex Diamondback Tactical 6-24x50 first focal plane scope that I want to mount on it. I know it's not an ideal scope, but I got it for free. Can you recommend a good 30mm tube mount or rings that won't break the bank, preferably 20 MOA for longer range.  Salma Hayek, Dame Helen Mirren, Jane Seymour (of Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman and Wedding Crashers fame). Fuck one, marry one, kill one. Discuss. Keep up the great work guys. The WLS shows are the highlight of my week. Pecker McPeckerson - If you had to start your journey into the gun cumunity over, How, in 2025, would you get into the industry? a gun store, a range, a podcast, etc.You cannot use any contacts you already have from the gun community. You are starting from scratch with just the guns you have purchased and basic knowledge of firearms. Ny(e)gerski - You guys talk down alot about shadow systems, but I'd like to be a bit contrarian. When I bought mine, I was looking for something g19 sized, reliable, safe, and a bit upgraded. I considered building one on a p80 or a faxon frame...but then I saw the cr920 elite. Metal mags, upgraded trigger, grip texture, optic cut, etc. All for 750 bucks. I'll admit they have gone up in price more than they should (i.e. kanik) and their marketing department with the wording....really guys.... my question is, have you guys looked at their optic cut? It's pretty neat, fits most all of the different cuts without plates. It uses little spacers that you have to shoehorn the optic in where the screws have almost no pressure on them. Maybe it would be a good option to license to other manufacturers? Ps. as a fuel driver in the Midwest, there are pretty much 2 grades of fuel...subgrade which is around 84 octane, and premium which is 91. Those 2 fuels get either blended together, blended with ethanol, or both to create all the different fuels you get at the station. 84 with 10% ethanol gets you to 87octane. 84 with 15% ethanol gets you 88octane. 84 with a little 91 gets you 87 with 0 ethanol...etc. we were hoping to see you guys at goals, but had to change our vacation days from an adoption finally having an end date right after, hope you guys had a blast! Shaak&Awe - Curious! Can I use a crush washer on a direct tread suppressor? Mark B - Im looking to get a Ruger 10/22 and plan to put a scope on it, probably an old 2.5-10 Tasco I have laying around. I like the look of the heavy 16” barrel, like on model 31197. Is the bull barrel of any practical use on a 22? I do plan to do some off hand shooting, but most will be from a bipod or front bag. Ruger makes a lite model that gives the look of the heavy barrel but is much less weight, however it costs significantly more. I have no plans to compete with this, just a fun shooter.

Your hosts tonight are Jeremy Pozderac, Aaron Krieger, Nick Lynch, and me Shawn Herrin, welcome to the show! pew.deals - Dear WLS Duke of Crude - Hey fam, So my job has me go to a lot of heavy industrial places to tour and report on from a safety perspective. One of the last places I went to was a large liquid natural gas terminal on the gulf coast. Outsiders were not allowed to bring firearms onto the property which was bullshit, but they also had armed security through the facility as this place was regulated by homeland security and the department of energy. I didn't get to talk with those security people or get a good look at what they were carrying, but what do you think would be the best caliber and ammo for that scenario? Most all surrounding environment contains explosive and/or flammable liquid, but you do have a very real threat of terrorism there as well. Thought this might be a fun thought experiment or discussion. When I go back, I'll compare with what ya ll come up with and report back. Also, did everyone win the dead pool this week? Ozzy, hulk hogan, and %Chuck mangione all in one swoop. Thanks! Duke   Alex W - Hey y'all. I'm considering buying a 45 acp handgun for woods carry and as something fun and slightly less expensive to shoot than my 10mm. I think i want a metal frame hammer gun just as a change from all my striker pistols. But, I don't want a manual safety as I'm not used to carrying with a safety and don't want to forget to turn it off if I really need the gun. The sig p220 seems like the obvious choice. But I would like something with a higher capacity than 8 rounds. As far as I can tell, the p227 and the cz97 would have fit what I'm looking for perfectly but have both been discontinued. Can you suggest any quality guns similar to those two that im forgetting about? Thanks. Keep up the great work. Steve B - I recently won a Springfield Prodigy 3.5", it's my first 2011 style pistol. From what I understand the first run of Prodigy's had problems but supposedly the kinks were worked out by now. I already have a number of carry options including a cajunized CZ P-01 and a P365xl. So the size and weight doesn't bother me much, my question is what would you do with it? It isn't drop safe, but that isn't a huge factor, with a 3.5" barrel it isn't prime for competition. Would you carry it if it's reliable or trade it in on something else? Ian C - Esteemed Leaders of the Cult, As the fervent heat of summer begins to fade and the gentle, crisp breath of autumn approaches, so too does the time of the noble pursuit—the great hunt for the majestic white-tailed deer. In the realm in which I dwell, the sovereign's wardens—those gallant stewards in green jeans—have most graciously bestowed upon us the privilege of employing straight-walled cartridges in this venerable endeavor. To that end, I humbly seek your esteemed counsel. Of the following three arms, which would you deem most worthy for the task of felling such a noble creature? • The venerable .45-70 Government (lever-action) • The stout-hearted .44 Magnum (lever-action) • Or the nimble .357 Magnum Contender (single-shot) Moreover, in your seasoned judgment, would you favor jacketed hollow points or full metal jacket rounds for such a purpose? It bears noting that the land is largely suburban in character, though there remain several verdant clearings where hunting is sanctioned. However, due to environmental constraints, engagement distances exceeding 50 yards are unlikely. I remain ever grateful for your wisdom, and trust that your response shall arrive in time for the commencement of the great hunt. With the highest regards and sincerest thanks, Your devoted servant in arms.

WLS is Lifestyle Glock's Surprising Stance Glock supports gun control? Bringing your kids into shooting. Aaron's Alley Going Ballistic Hawaii's Gun Laws: Aiming for Freedom, Not Chains The Second Amendment Foundation is challenging Hawaii's stringent gun purchase laws, arguing they infringe on constitutional rights. This legal action could significantly impact the gun community in Hawaii by potentially opening the door for less restrictive regulations and greater access to firearms. Gun rights advocates see this as a step against mounting efforts by gun control proponents to limit access to firearms. Supreme Court to Debate Pennsylvania's Silly Under-21 Carry Ban: A Step Towards Common Sense or Another Misfire? The Supreme Court is set to review a case regarding Pennsylvania's ban on concealed carry permits for individuals under 21, which could impact the rights of young gun owners. If the Court rules against the ban, it may bolster the Second Amendment rights for younger citizens, much to the chagrin of gun control advocates who prefer stricter regulations. Tim Walz's Latest Gun Control Circus: Here We Go Again! Minnesota Governor Tim Walz is considering an emergency legislative session to address gun control measures following recent events. The proposal could impact gun rights within the state, igniting further debates and mobilizing the gun community in opposition to increased restrictions. Ilhan Omar's Uninformed Crusade Against 'Assault Weapons' In light of Ilhan Omar's recent comments advocating for the elimination of "assault weapons," the gun community is likely to face increased scrutiny and calls for stricter regulations. This push highlights ongoing tensions between gun rights advocates and those seeking to limit firearm availability, further fueling the debate over the Second Amendment. Massie's Bold Move: Kicking the Anti-Gun Lobby Out of Schools Thomas Massie has introduced a bill aimed at repealing the Gun-Free School Zones Act. This move is likely to energize pro-Second Amendment advocates who argue that such zones do not enhance safety and may instead leave schools vulnerable to armed attacks. The introduction of this bill may lead to intensified debates within the gun community and among gun control advocates as they grapple with the implications for school safety. Reviews ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - from Zachary - 10 year listener and haven't missed an episode since I've started listening. My media intake time is limited but when a new episode of wls drops it is always a priority to listen. 5 squares for sure   ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - from N-word Jim - 5 Squares. I first found WLS though the FightLite Herring 2024. When I heard the maker of this abomination had a podcast, I knew I had to see what sort of faggotry happened there. I soon found out that this is more of a cult than a simple podcast.

Double Tap Episode 425 This episode of Double Tap is brought to you by: Swampfox Optics, Medical Gear Outfitters, RMA Defense, XTech Tactical, Bowers Group, Blue Alpha, and Matador Arms   Welcome to Double Tap, episode 425! Your hosts tonight are Jeremy Pozderac, Aaron Krieger, Nick Lynch, and me Shawn Herrin, welcome to the show! pew.deals - Dear WLS plowguydave - So I have a Browning X Bolt in .300wm. I had it threaded a few years ago but since the barrel profile is so thin, it's threaded 1/2x28. Most 30 cal cans are threaded 5/8x24 so I'd have to run a thread adapter for a can. Would you a) use a thread adapter and affix it in a permanent/semi-permanent fashion, b) purchase a 30 cal can able to accept a 1/2x28 thread pattern, or c) get an aftermarket barrel with a heavier profile that is cut for 5/8x24? Use case is long range plinking and hunting. Barrel length is 24" if that matters. If it doesn't, then fuck me I guess.  Kermit Thee Frog - "I'm looking at upgrading the scope on my 6.5 Grendel that I primarily used for blacktail hunting, but i'm recently getting into more mid and long range shooting at 300-1100 yards so far with it and thinking about trying out the Swampfox Warhawk 3-15. C_DOES on YouTube did a really good review of the 2-10 variant but I haven't been able to find much information on the 3-15. I'm concerned that the glass quality may be good enough for 10x but falls apart when pushed to 15x. Have any of you had any hands on experience with this optic and what are your thoughts on it? I'm also looking at the Athlon Ares BTR gen 3 but leaning more towards the Swampfox because of the price and it has locking turrets. Thanks gents." Jack B - As I'm sure you guys are aware, the Earth's magnetic poles are about to shift and it will cause cataclysmic floods and tectonic shifts. Most experts expect the landmasses to liquefy and move everything to the opposite side of the world in a matter of hours. My question for you is, what's your loadout for this event? What will be the best gun to use to shoot the magnetic poles and liquified earth to keep your self and your loved ones safe? Or, if it doesn't work, what gun will make me look coolest to the archeologists who dig me up in 20,000 years. Nicholas J - "Hey guys, first off love the show! One of the very few podcast I actually get excited to listen too. Second, I've been having an ejection issue with my AR where when fired the bolt will stay in the forward position and it's almost like the round is stuck in the chamber, even an unfired round and a dummy round get stuck to the point I have to take a punch hammer to the charging handle to get it out. What are your thoughts? Again love the show and love what yawl do!" Bradley C - Dear WLS With the recent abatement of the NFA tax, and the further conversation surrounding the complete repeal of the NFA, have any 2A space influencers considered the implication of a full repeal, nation wide? As much as many of us in the 2A sphere hoped for it's demise in the BBB, the State level consequences could be detrimental. Let me explain: In the State of Oregon, and I believe there are twelve other States, with the full repeal of the NFA Federally, it would cost us the ability to own, possess, or purchase NFA items. As, at least here in Oregon, they are only able to be in existence, because the NFA is a de facto registry. At this time, Oregon does not have its own requirement to register firearms, but with the implementation of Measure 114 (still tied up in the courts) and the QUEEN Governor having just signed SB 243, the noose is tightening around the firearms owner's neck. Anyway, it is my belief, that the tax was dropped to zero dollars and the NFA maintained to allow these 13 +/- States the ability to keep those NFA items, as ATF maintains their de facto registry. I'm really interested your thoughts and insights on this. Yes Jeremy, I agree with you,
