REVIEWS Review: Peter Gesinnia from Texas WLS Review from Peter Gesinnia 5 squares. Bang Ranking anything based on looks in a podcast is stupid as fuck, but octa-GONE'l Limbaugh is golden! Review: Kyle R from Iowa Show Review5 Squares. Since my last text that started with “Dear WLS” was read as a show review I feel obligated to do one. This show is like the trucks you see pulling into your favorite KOA. Jeremy is already there setup with his mobile command trailer on his one ton diesel crew cab. Pretty sure he only got neutered because one more kid would put him in a Class A, and those would be tough to mount a belt feed on. Shawn is there with his 1/2 ton meticulously packed for efficiency. He just can't figure out why it rides like shit. It's because his 3,000 pounds of gear has it sitting on the bump stops. Nick has a hammock strung between his old school Ranger and Shawn's truck. Light, nimble, practical, and an overall durable rear end if you excuse the occasional leaks. Aaron has a Subaru Brat. Not American, not a truck, not a car, not a great camping choice, but he would die on that hill arguing all sides. In fact, I believe he forgot to ask for a jump start 6 months ago before everyone else left and is still there to this day. Savage is there in a Honda Ridgeline arguing that technically it's a truck. Nobody wants to admit he's American because we all know his loyalty belongs to somewhere on the Asian continent. Kyle R Review: Dustin from NC Dustin From NCLove the show fellas. Possibly because of the constant marketing but l have thought of the cast like Toy Story characters multiple times lately. Jeremy reminds me of Woody. Instead of saying ‘There's a snake in my boots!' when his string gets pulled it is phrases like RIVERS OF BLOOD, Pittance, Uptown Gentleman, and misc swearing. Savage is like a Speak and Spell that got dropped in the toilet so it malfunctions while reading the news stories in verbatim. Nick is Mr. Potato Head. Because he dumps everything out the rear hatch multiple times an episode. Shawn is the Barbie doll legs attached to the fishing pole because he manages to reel the cast in from segment to segment and is horrible to look at. All ribbing aside, I appreciate the time and effort put into the segments and throughly enjoy the show each week. AGENCY BRIEF: STREET SWEEPER / USAS-12 DESTRUCTIVE DEVICE RECLASSIFICATIONWhat this really was: In 1994, ATF took lawfully owned shotguns and shoved them into the NFA “destructive device” category. No vote in Congress. No new statute. Just an agency ruling that turned specific 12-gauge shotguns into the same legal category as grenades. The targets were the Striker-12, the Street Sweeper, and the USAS-12. The Striker and Street Sweeper used revolving cylinders. The USAS-12 was a semi-auto, magazine-fed shotgun. They all fired ordinary 12-gauge shells, the same kind of ammunition people put through hunting pumps all over the country. The legal hook was buried in the National Firearms Act, specifically 26 U.S.C. § 5845(f). That section says a weapon with a bore over one-half inch can be treated as a destructive device unless the government decides it is “generally recognized as particularly suitable for sporting purposes.” A 12-gauge shotgun has a bore of about .73 inches. So every 12-gauge in America avoids the NFA only because ATF treats it as sporting enough. That is the trapdoor. In 1994, during the Clinton administration, ATF issued Rulings 94-1 and 94-2. The agency said these shotguns had no recognized sporting purpose, pointing to their weight, capacity, and military-style features. Once ATF withdrew that exemption, the guns became destructive devices. The pattern was simple: Start with a broad statute and an elastic test like “sporting purposes.” Use subjective factors, including appearance, to pull back prior approval. Reclassify the guns by agency ruling. Open a short amnesty period for tax-free registration. Turn missed paperwork into felony exposure. Confirmed fact: ATF used the sporting purposes clause to reclassify these firearms and require NFA registration without Congress passing a new law. What is less clear is how many legacy owners actually got notice before the amnesty window closed. But the legal threat was real, and the policy result stuck....

Katz: Lynchburg Circuit Court Judge Patrick Yeatts Reaffirms Injunction Blocking Virginia HB 1525 Universal Background Checks A Lynchburg judge rejected Virginia's attempt to revive universal background checks on private firearm sales, keeping the injunction against State Police enforcement in place. On June 3, 2026, Lynchburg Circuit Court Judge Patrick Yeatts denied the Virginia State Police and Attorney General's motion to dissolve his October 2025 permanent injunction. The injunction struck down Virginia's universal background check requirement for private firearm sales (originally enacted in 2020 and codified at Va. Code § 18.2-308.2:5) after finding it unconstitutional under Article I, Section 13 of the Virginia Constitution, particularly as applied to those under 21, and non-severable. The ruling came after the legislature passed and Gov. Abigail Spanberger signed HB 1525 in April 2026 with an emergency clause directing VSP to resume checks; plaintiffs including Gun Owners of America, Virginia Citizens Defense League, and individuals filed to enforce the existing injunction. Since the settlement with the Department of Justice there have been many lawsuits filed and a major discussion about the legality of other devices that are similar to the FRT-15. Recently the new director of the ATF, Robert Cekada, testified in front of congress and had some interesting things to say about Forced Reset Triggers. The discussion covers legal distinctions between rate of fire, trigger function, drop-in auto sears, and potential implications for competing forced reset trigger products. AMMOLAND SHOOTING SPORTS NEWS(Savage) United States v. DeBorba (9th Cir. 2026): Suppressors Not Protected as 'Arms' Under Second Amendment The Ninth Circuit ruled suppressors are not Second Amendment arms in United States v. DeBorba, a bad-facts illegal alien gun case that may hurt future suppressor challenges. The Ninth Circuit affirmed João Ricardo DeBorba's convictions for unlawful possession of firearms, ammunition, and an unregistered silencer under the National Firearms Act (NFA). The court held that silencers/suppressors are optional accessories or ‘accoutrements' rather than ‘arms' covered by the plain text of the Second Amendment, citing prior precedent such as Duncan v. Bonta. It further ruled the NFA's shall-issue registration and taxation regime is constitutional as DeBorba failed to show abusive enforcement. NRA BLOWS WHISTLE ON NRA FOUNDATION, FILES LAWSUIT IN COURT(Savage) National Rifle Association of America v. NRA Foundation (1:26-cv-00015, D.D.C.) The National Rifle Association filed a lawsuit against the NRA Foundation, asserting ownership of intellectual property and alleging the foundation's leadership is operating in bad faith and withholding funds. NRA CEO Doug Hamlin stated the foundation has declined to approve 2026 grant funding, jeopardizing programs like the NRA National Firearms Museum and Eddie Eagle GunSafe program. On January 5, 2026, the National Rifle Association filed suit in U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia against its affiliated charitable arm, the NRA Foundation. The complaint asserts NRA ownership of trademarks and intellectual property used by the Foundation, alleges the Foundation's leadership (described as a disgruntled faction of former NRA directors) is operating in bad faith, misleading donors, withholding or misappropriating funds intended for NRA charitable programs, and attempting to break away. The suit seeks to prevent trademark infringement, unfair competition, and separation from the NRA. REVIEWS by Listener What's frustrating you most in gun culture right now? Review: Kyle R. from Iowa Dear WLS,Question I'm turning into a product review because I'm glad to hear about Foxtrot Mike signing on. What is the oddest, or most expensive fix you've ever done to get a trash gun running? For yourself, friend, customer, anyone. I got a Turkish 410 AR upper to play around with. Put it on a known functioning lower with their supplied modified buffer because the proprietary BCG is slightly longer. Slam fired half a magazine. Looked it over, tried a different lower with their other buffer they supplied. Slam fired 3 rounds, had an out of battery, sheared the bolt off. Sent it back. They sent me a whole new upper right around the same time I listened to the last episode you had Foxtrot Mike on. They were talking about slam firing 9mm and buffer weights. I immediately picked up a couple recoil mitigation buffers for PCCs. When the new 410 upper showed up I weighed the supplied buffers to

AGENCY BRIEF: RUBY RIDGEWhat Ruby Ridge really was: a federal pressure campaign over a minor, technical gun charge that turned into a botched siege, unconstitutional rules of engagement, and the killing of a mother and her child. The setup started in 1989. The ATF wanted an informant inside Aryan Nations circles in northern Idaho. They targeted Randy Weaver, an Army veteran living off-grid with his family. Weaver had racist beliefs and associations, but constitutional limits matter most when the person in the government's sights is unpopular. The ATF used an informant to cultivate Weaver and buy two shotguns. The agency claimed the barrels were cut a fraction of an inch below the 18-inch legal minimum. Whether Weaver cut them at the informant's request or sold them as-is is heavily disputed. What is confirmed is what happened next: the ATF did not arrest him to protect the public. They used the federal firearms charge as leverage to pressure Weaver into becoming a paid snitch. Weaver refused. Because he refused, the ATF pushed the case to prosecutors, and Weaver was indicted in late 1990. Then came the bureaucratic failure. Weaver's court-appointed attorney was sent a notice with the wrong appearance date, and Weaver missed his hearing. Instead of resolving a government paperwork error cleanly, the system escalated. The U.S. Marshals launched an 18-month surveillance operation on his remote cabin. In August 1992, an armed reconnaissance team of Marshals encountered Weaver's 14-year-old son Sammy and family friend Kevin Harris in the woods. A firefight erupted. Exactly who fired first remains disputed, but the results are not: the family dog was killed, Sammy Weaver was shot and killed while running back toward the cabin, and Deputy U.S. Marshal William Degan was killed. The FBI's Hostage Rescue Team was called in to take over. Instead of containment, the FBI adopted modified, unconstitutional rules of engagement. In plain English, agents were told they “could and should” shoot any armed adult male seen outside the cabin. FBI sniper Lon Horiuchi fired two shots. The first wounded Randy Weaver. The second shot, fired as Weaver and Harris retreated, passed through the cabin door and hit Vicki Weaver in the head while she stood in the doorway holding her 10-month-old infant. She died instantly. The legal aftermath demolished the government's narrative: A federal jury acquitted Kevin Harris of murder on self-defense grounds. Randy Weaver was acquitted of all original firearms and murder charges, convicted only of failure to appear and a bail condition violation. A 1995 Department of Justice review found the FBI's modified rules of engagement unconstitutional. The federal government paid over $3 million in civil settlements to the surviving family. Despite Senate hearings and state-level indictments, no federal agent ever served a day in prison for the killings. 2. WHY IT MATTERS Ruby Ridge is the ultimate case study in how federal agencies use technical firearms violations to manufacture leverage, and what happens when their targets refuse to bend. This operation was never about public safety. It was about coercion. When Weaver wouldn't play ball, the agency's objective shifted from investigation to punishment, kicking off a predictable escalation ladder: Use a regulatory charge as a trap. Demand intelligence cooperation, and turn refusal into a target on the citizen's back. Treat a procedural court-date mistake as a fugitive manhunt. Deploy paramilitary recon teams for a paperwork warrant. Rewrite deadly force rules on the fly to authorize a shoot-on-sight posture. Once federal agencies invest that much time, manpower, and ego, the institutional pressure to justify the operation takes over. They stop seeing citizens with rights, and start treating them as enemy combatants on American soil. 3. THE 2A ANGLE For gun owners, Ruby Ridge is the blood-soaked warning label on every “it's just a paperwork violation” argument. The underlying charge was a National Firearms Act measurement. That is the exact kind of regulatory trap Washington loves to describe as narrow, reasonable, and harmless. But in practice, technical gun laws give agencies the legal cover to ruin lives. That is the modern lesson for FFLs navigating zero-tolerance revocations, home builders facing shifting administrative definitions, and ordinary owners one bad pistol-brace ruling away from becoming a federal case file. Apply the Supreme Court's Bruen standard to the government's actions. There is zero text, history, or tradition from the founding era of a permanent federal bureaucracy measuring the barrels of defensive weapons to coerce citizens into acting as informants, and then militarizing a warrant service when the citizen refuses. The Founders would not recognize a system that turns a man into a felon over a quarter-inch of steel. Heller proved that the Second Amendment protects an individual right. But rights on paper mean nothing if the enforcement state can use a minor regulatory allegation to justify surveillance, coercion, and deadly force. The strongest takeaway from Ruby Ridge is that when the federal government wields broad, discretionary power over firearms, abuse is not a glitch. It is the natural result. When agencies can turn a fractional barrel measurement into a capital siege, the process itself becomes the punishment. Being technically compliant doesn't protect you; it just makes you useful until you aren't anymore. GOING BALLISTIC AMMOLAND SHOOTING SPORTS NEWS(Savage) NRA, FPC, SAF v. A can of bear spray was found near the site. The article contrasts this with the 2014 Mount Brown Trail incident where Brian Murphy successfully stopped a charging grizzly using bear spray followed by one shot from a .357 Magnum revolver at 7-10 feet, after which the bear went down and stopped moving. The .357 Magnum round did not kill the bear but incapacitated it temporarily. No recorded deaths in North America when a handgun was fired in defense against a bear. PEW REPORT Arsenal Inc. The letter frames the law as an unconstitutional restriction that creates legal uncertainty, compliance burdens, and business paralysis for citizens, manufacturers, distributors, retailers, ranges, and trainers nationwide, citing precedents in California and Washington. Arsenal Inc. announces immediate heavy discounts and prioritized shipping for Virginia customers through June 19, 2026, while calling on the NSSF and the broader firearms industry to provide coordinated legal, grassroots, and public support, treating the issue as national rather than state-specific. PEW REPORT AI Could Render the Federal Ban on Creating a Gun Registry Obsolete Article discusses a University of Wyoming Firearms Research Center working paper arguing that AI systems could create ‘registry-equivalent knowledge' by extracting, linking, and inferring firearm ownership data from ATF's existing 921 million digitized records (including Form 4473s, out-of-business dealer records, and NICS metadata containing names, addresses, and serial numbers). This would bypass the intent of 18 U.S.C. § 926(a) prohibiting any system of registration of firearms, owners, or transactions, especially as federal AI policy integrates more data. Washington state has enacted multiple gun control measures including waiting periods, red flag laws, universal background checks, high-capacity magazine bans, and assault weapon bans. Despite these, residents near Aurora Avenue in Seattle report uncontrolled drug dealing, prostitution, and shootings, with minimal response from city officials. Neighbors have erected reinforced barriers and posted “No Gunfire” signs while the mayor's office announced increased patrols by the Gun Violence Reduction Unit and community-led efforts; the article argues the focus on lawful gun ownership over criminal enforcement, combined with local taxes driving out FFLs, has left residents scrambling for protection and exercising Second Amendment rights. This Bearing Arms opinion column discusses a Slate article by Aymann Ismail detailing his multi-year struggle to obtain a Firearm Purchaser Identification in New Jersey due to discretionary permitting practices by the Newark Police Department. The piece highlights historical racist motivations behind many early U.S. gun control measures (targeting non-whites and Catholics) and draws a through-line to modern subjective permitting systems that produce racial disparities in approval rates. It references the 1868 Camilla Massacre in Georgia as the origin of a now-invalidated ‘public gathering' carry prohibition and argues that the Supreme Court's Bruen decision properly eliminated such discretionary laws prone to abuse. Speaking of pointless, here's my guess at the chips the cast can best be described as. Nick is chips made with olestra – nowhere near the fat as the other chips, but you can expect a little bit of anal leakage to happen. Shawn is your good old fashioned BBQ. He brings the flavor, but he's a little objectionable to some. Still, he's better than most of the alternatives. Aaron is pickle flavor kettle chips from the dollar store: a poor imitation of things you like. He's been burned repeatedly and and he's extra salty. You're not sure if he's kosher or not, but something just isn't quite right. Savage is whatever flavor Lay's is pushing on people this month: He's disgusting every time and you wonder why he exists. Was there asian influence? Were there a bukkake party involved? Nobody knows, but nobody ever likes him. Fuck savage. Jeremy hates everything and can't be related to a chip, but he does lust for the flavor of ranch. Even so, Jeremy is salty and you can bet he hates the smell of vinegars – clip that bag of chips closed before he starts (nick)lynching people. Review: SomeFatGuy ⭐5 squares. If you've ever wondered what it would sound like if a handful of gun guys got trapped in a basement with microphones, unresolved beef, and way too much confidence, We Like Shooting is the show for you. The cast somehow manages to feel like a dysfunctional Thanksgiving dinner where everyone brought ammo instead of side dishes. Aaron has the energy of a man who is either expertly steering the ship or actively watching it sink while pretending everything is fine. Half ringmaster, half hostage negotiator. Shawn sounds like the kind of guy who could either give you genuinely useful life advice or convince you to buy something absolutely ridiculous at 2 a.m. and somehow you'd thank him for it. Jeremy brings the vibe of a man who has seen things, regretted most of them, and still came back for another episode anyway. He feels like the human embodiment of “this probably isn't OSHA approved.” Nick sounds like he wandered into the show by accident and then just never left, which honestly works. Every group needs that one guy who sounds like he's two seconds away from saying something either brilliant or completely unhinged. And then there's Savage. Dear Lord. Listening to Savage read a news story is like watching someone try to parallel park a shopping cart with one wheel missing. The man cannot get through a single headline without turning it into a live-action battle against syllables. Every sentence is a hostage situation. Every paragraph feels like it's being assembled from spare parts in real time. By the time he finishes one story, I've aged enough to qualify for Medicare. It's not even reading at that point — it's an endurance event. And yet… somehow… this disaster of a show is still entertaining. That's the most frustrating part. Despite the derailments, side quests, verbal train wrecks, and whatever fresh nonsense Savage is doing to the English language, the show is still weirdly fun to listen to. It has the exact energy of friends arguing in a garage while one guy tries to read the news off a phone with a cracked screen. So is it polished? No. Is it professional? Also no. Will Savage ever make it through a story cleanly? Science says no. Will I probably still listen again? Unfortunately, yes. Final verdict: If you like firearms, chaos, and hearing a man publicly lose fistfights with basic sentence structure, We Like Shooting might be your new favorite podcast. #no notes Review: Touchmybiiscuit ⭐Jeremy, you're muted. My blood has not boiled, thereby, inducing road rage, while listening to the podcast in many months. This is because I have I have not listened to shirt-money-stealing Aaron and Jeremy fight and trifle over utter nonsense. Our wives and girlfriends are more safe from getting hit on without him. I would, however, like to hear from Aaron, when he finishes writing his book, which I presume is titled, “I Know Why the Caged Jew Sings”. Or perhaps he has changed the title to “Mein Autobus Kampfen ” (Translation: my struggle bus) Five squares. No notes. PS. Jerombe, look up how to say the N word in sign language. GOING BALLISTIC DOJ Cease-and-Desist to City of Denver on AR-15 Ban The National Association for Gun Rights reports that AAG Dhillon issued a cease-and-desist letter to the City of Denver. The letter demands the removal of their AR-15 ban. Failure to comply will result in action by the DOJ. Hysteria Continues Unabated Following ATF's Announcement (Savage) The article discusses the ATF's rollback of gun regulations under the Trump administration's Justice Department, led by confirmed ATF head Robert Cekada, following an assassination attempt on President Trump. Gun control advocates like John Feinblatt of Everytown for Gun Safety criticize it as gutting ‘commonsense gun safety laws.' The author argues the hysteria is unwarranted, as the weapons used were legal nationwide and prior rules failed to prevent attacks. NAGR: Minnesota Dems Pushing Gun Ban via Omnibus Bill SF 4067 (Savage) The National Association for Gun Rights (NAGR) warns that Minnesota Democrats are advancing SF 4067, an omnibus firearms bill, through the state Senate and House. The bill proposes bans on certain semiautomatic rifles, magazines over 17 rounds, privately manufactured firearms, binary triggers, and expands red flag gun confiscation laws. NAGR urges Minnesotans to contact legislators to oppose the measure amid a tied House vote. New York State Rifle & Pistol Association v. Bruen: Impact on Baltimore, MD Homicides at 50-Year Low (Savage) Following the Supreme Court's Bruen decision, Maryland shifted from ‘may-issue' to ‘shall-issue' concealed carry permits, increasing from under 50,000 in 2020 to over 200,000 by April 2025. Baltimore City has seen homicides drop to a 50-year low, with only 33 homicides and 89 non-fatal shootings as of May 1, 2025, down 10.8% and 11.9% from the prior year. April 2025 recorded just four homicides, the fewest monthly since at least 1970. ATF Reforms on Pistol Braces (NPRM 1140-AA98) (Savage) The article discusses ATF reforms under the Trump administration that remove regulatory language from the vacated Biden-era pistol brace rule (NPRM 1140-AA98), affecting enforcement of the National Firearms Act (NFA) and Gun Control Act (GCA) on braced pistols classified as short-barreled rifles. While presented as a positive step, the changes do not limit ATF's statutory interpretation authority, allowing continued enforcement risks for gun owners. The author views it as meaningful progress but potentially ‘smoke and mirrors' without further congressional action.0 Navy v. Patrick Tate Adamiak: NRA Files Amicus Brief Urging U.S. Supreme Court Review (Savage) The NRA, along with other gun rights organizations, filed an amicus brief urging the U.S. Supreme Court to hear Navy v. Patrick Tate Adamiak, involving a Navy veteran's 20-year sentence for National Firearms Act violations over nonfunctional firearm relics. The case challenges the treatment of inert, destroyed items as regulated ‘firearms' under an expansive NFA interpretation, bypassing Second Amendment protections. The brief argues lower courts distorted precedent by avoiding Bruen's historical analysis test. DOJ/ATF 34 Final and Proposed Firearms Rules (April 29, 2026) (Savage) On April 29, 2026, the Department of Justice and ATF announced 34 notices of final and proposed rulemaking, the largest overhaul of federal firearms regulations in agency history, following Executive Order 14206 Protecting Second Amendment Rights. The package includes 8 finalized rules (e.g., rescinding bump stock machine gun definitions per Garland v. Cargill) and 26 proposed rules aimed at reducing burdens on FFLs and gun owners, modernizing forms like 4473, streamlining NFA processes, and aligning with court precedents. Rules cover repeals of Biden-era pistol brace and ‘engaged in the business' expansions, electronic recordkeeping, and interstate transport protections. Trump Pardon Call for Patrick ‘Tate' Adamiak (Fourth Circuit Federal Case) Patrick ‘Tate' Adamiak, a U.S. Navy sailor, was convicted on federal machinegun and unregistered destructive-device charges and sentenced to 20 years in prison despite no prior record or victims; the Fourth Circuit remanded on double-jeopardy grounds. The article urges gun owners to petition President Trump for a full pardon, framing it as a stand against ATF overreach and federal weaponization against Second Amendment activities. Items involved remain legally sold online, highlighting perceived injustice. REVIEWS Review: Anonymous Coward from Iowa Five Review: Anonymous Coward from Nebraska Review form coward. 5 something. Does everyone have to submit the eft and photo for every NFA item that is transferred to the trust? Question from typicalpnwguy from Washington Dear fellow Chad's, I have an “in Minecraft” finders keepers question. If you find a gun on the road while out on your delivery route how long would you wait to start buying mags, a light, a red dot, or a holster for it? Obviously I wouldn't tell anyone or post pictures as I love my dogs too much. Thank you, typicalpnwguy Question from sean_spelled_right from Virginia Question from sean_spelled_right. I'm late to the Glock stuff. I'm wanting to put together a Glock 19, with pretty much no Glock parts. I was thinking about a sct frame but don't really know what to do as far as the slide or barrel. Any suggestions for reasonably priced build. Reasonably priced for me is about $500 for everything. Great show! Curious, has Yairemy ever been interviewed for statements said on the We Like Shooting podcast? With the announcement of their 25 rpm, I'm really beginning to have some doubts about their creativity of high performance cartridges. I have been shooting 300 wby mag for a long time and love the platform, but it seems like all of the newer better performance rounds are not coming from Weatherby. Most of the marketing I see from Weatherby is copying of homework from Hornady with like 15% more velocity. Curious if ya ll even have Weatherby on your radar or if I'm just living like it's 1994. The Agency Brief Agency Update “The government looked at a piece of plastic on the back of a rifle, panicked, and spent ten years proving that gun control is a complete myth.” THE INTEL (THE STORY) The Play-by-Play: 1989 Catalyst: The Stockton school shooting gives gun control groups their emotional leverage. The media pivots away from the shooter's massive rap sheet to demonize the “evil” semi-auto rifle. What the Media Lied About: They flat-out lied that military machine guns were flooding the streets. Anti-gun activist Josh Sugarmann explicitly published this strategy: exploit the public's confusion between semi-autos and fully automatic weapons to manufacture outrage. The Architects: Bill Clinton needed a “tough on crime” headline. Sen. Dianne Feinstein drafted the ban, later admitting her true goal on 60 Minutes: “If I could have gotten 51 votes… for an outright ban… Mr. and Mrs. America, turn them all in; I would have done it.” What It Actually Did: Banned 19 specific firearms and semi-autos equipped with two or more “scary” cosmetic features (bayonet lugs, flash suppressors, folding stocks, pistol grips). It also capped new magazines at 10 rounds. The Backroom Deals: Democrats didn't have the votes for a permanent ban. They negotiated a 10-year sunset clause and grandfathered in millions of existing firearms, gambling they could just expand it later. The Workaround: The industry adapted overnight. Manufacturers removed the banned cosmetic plastic and sold functionally identical rifles. Congress literally regulated aesthetics. 2004 Sunset: The ban expires. An official, DOJ-funded study by Christopher Koper concludes the ban did absolutely nothing to reduce gun violence. The Reality Check (Hidden Incentives): Conditioning the Public: This was a psychological op to condition Americans to accept the government banning entire categories of firearms based purely on Hollywood aesthetics. Incrementalism: Lawmakers knew a total gun ban wouldn't fly, so they established the “feature test” as a foothold for future, broader bans. The True Target: The feature ban was mostly temporary political theater; starving the civilian market of standard-capacity magazines was their real long-term objective. Market Impact: They hoped shifting regulations would bankrupt the tactical firearms market with compliance red tape. Instead, they inadvertently birthed the massive modern AR-15 industry. THE 2A ANGLE (LEGAL & IMPACT) The Threat: The '94 ban is the exact blueprint tyrannical blue states (CA, NY, IL, WA) use today to terrorize FFLs and castrate standard rifles. They took a proven federal failure and turned it into permanent state-level law. For modern FFLs, this means SKU-by-SKU compliance nightmares, massive inventory risks, and the constant threat of a new federal ban—which, next time, likely won't include a grandfathering clause. Bruen Test: Text: The Second Amendment protects “arms.” Semi-auto centerfire rifles and standard capacity magazines are plainly protected arms. History & Tradition: There is zero founding-era analogue for restricting arms based on ergonomic grips or muzzle devices. The Founders didn't ban repeating arms when they emerged. Heller / McDonald Check: Arms “in common use for lawful purposes” are fundamentally protected. With over 24 million AR-15s in civilian hands right now, they undeniably satisfy the common use standard. Banning them violates the core of Heller. Bruen kills the feature-test dead; rogue appellate courts are simply playing games to delay the inevitable. Regulatory Creep: The Expanding Ratchet: The feature test is a backdoor trap. It started with bayonet lugs and flash hiders, then moved to pistol braces, threaded barrels, and parts kits. Fluid Definitions: Current AWB proposals name over 200 firearms and reduce the threshold to just one aesthetic feature. The Handgun Endgame: Once society accepts that a semi-auto action plus a detachable mag equals a “weapon of war,” your daily-carry Glock 19 or P365 is logically next. Going Ballistic ATF NFA Division: Over 1 Million Forms Processed in 2026, 6 Million Suppressors Registered (Savage) The ATF's National Firearms Act (NFA) Division processed over 1 million NFA forms in the first four months of 2026, surpassing previous annual totals due to the elimination of the $200 tax stamp for suppressors and short-barreled firearms effective January 1, 2026. Over half of these were Form 4 applications for suppressor transfers, with nearly 6 million suppressors now registered in the National Firearms Registration and Transfer Record (NFRTR) as of April 2026. This marks a historic surge, with 2026 registrations rivaling decades of prior accumulation. The Gist: National (United States): ATF NFA Division and National Firearms Registration and Transfer Record (NFRTR); applies nationwide to NFA items like suppressors and short-barreled firearms. Impact: Elimination of $200 tax stamp for suppressors and short-barreled firearms effective January 1, 2026, caused surge in processing (over 1 million forms in first 4 months of 2026 vs. 1.37 million in all of 2024); over 5.99 million suppressors registered as of April 10, 2026. Bottom Line: Historic surge in NFA adoption post-tax elimination, with 2026 early-year forms exceeding prior annual records and suppressor registrations rivaling 76 years (1934-2010) of prior totals. Post-Bruen Gun Rights Cases: Wolford v. Lopez, United States v. Mitchell, United States v. Hemani, Viramontes v. Cook County, and Roberts v. ATF (Savage) The article details several post-Bruen Supreme Court and lower court cases challenging restrictions on public carry, prohibited-person statutes under 18 U.S.C. § 922(g), AR-15 bans, and NFA registration requirements....

Recommended for printing in PETG, it addresses limited aftermarket holster support for certain firearms. Explaining Bail in the Myrtle Beach Self-Defense Shooting Case On June 12, 2025, Tequarius Barrett, 19, was charged with first-degree assault and battery after allegedly firing a gun in a late-night altercation near North Ocean Boulevard in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, claiming self-defense under the state's stand-your-ground law. His bond was reduced from $200,000 to $20,000 with strict conditions including GPS monitoring and firearm prohibition, highlighting bail challenges in self-defense cases. A stand-your-ground immunity hearing is set for April 17, 2026. THE ALLEY Pauls Valley High School Shooting Incident: Principal Tackles Armed Intruder On April 8, 2026, 20-year-old Victor Lee Hawkins entered Pauls Valley High School armed with two loaded pistols. One pistol malfunctioned when he attempted to shoot a student, allowing principal Kirk Moore to tackle him despite being shot in the leg. Army ROTC cadets, including Cadet Louis Ancheta, subdued the attacker using a pocket-knife, with no details on its make or model. No technical gear matching the required criteria (firearms with manufacturer and model) is explicitly detailed. GOING BALLISTIC Professor Jens Ludwig Pushes Behavioral Training and Public Space Improvements for Gun Violence Reduction (Savage) University of Chicago Professor Jens Ludwig advocates alternatives to uncertain gun control measures, proposing behavioral training programs like ‘Becoming A Man' in Chicago public schools to teach de-escalation of conflicts and urban design changes such as converting empty lots to pocket parks. These interventions target intuitive human thinking patterns (95% of brain activity) and environmental factors in high-violence areas to prevent escalation to gun violence. Detailed in his 2025 book ‘Unforgiving Places: The Unexpected Origins of American Gun Violence,' the approach focuses on low-income U.S. neighborhoods without restricting firearms ownership. GOA Demands Investigation into ATF's Leaking of Personal Information in Silencer Shop Found. v. BATFE (Savage) Gun Owners of America (GOA) is demanding a U.S. Department of Justice Office of the Inspector General investigation after DOJ attorneys representing the ATF publicly disclosed sensitive NFA tax returns and personal details of a GOA member on a court docket without redaction during the Silencer Shop Found. v. BATFE litigation. The filings included unredacted ATF Forms 1 and a declaration detailing the member's firearm collection, with the error repeated even after being alerted. GOA cites potential violations of 26 U.S.C. § 6103 prohibiting public disclosure of such information. Shreveport, Louisiana: Convicted Felon Kills 8 Children in Mass Shooting (Savage) A convicted felon in Shreveport, Louisiana, fatally shot eight children aged 3 to 11 across three homes and injured two adult women on April 19, 2026, before being killed by police after a chase. The perpetrator violated federal law by possessing a firearm due to his prior felony conviction for shooting at a vehicle. The incident has sparked political commentary on gun control, with critics like California Gov. Gavin Newsom blaming the NRA and calling for restrictions. 13 U.S. Senators Demand ATF Stop Enforcing Vacated Biden-Era ‘Pistol Brace' Final Rule (Savage) Thirteen Republican U.S. Senators, led by Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-LA), sent a letter to the ATF on April 15 demanding an end to enforcement of the vacated 2023 ‘Factoring Criteria for Firearms with an Attached Stabilizing Brace' rule, which classified most pistols with stabilizing braces as short-barreled rifles under the National Firearms Act. They urge the ATF to issue an interpretive rule clarifying that braced firearms are not SBRs and to seek a permanent injunction via ongoing litigation by Texas and Gun Owners of America. The rule was vacated by courts in August 2024, but ATF signals intent to continue its legal theory. THE AGENCY BRIEF Agency Update THE HOOK (COLD OPEN) “If you've ever wondered when the federal government decided your constitutional rights needed a permission slip and a background check, welcome to the Gun Control Act of 1968.” THE INTEL (THE STORY) Why?: The 1960s were a mess of race riots, civil unrest, and high-profile assassinations (JFK, MLK, RFK). The political elite used the national panic to ram through a wishlist of federal gun control they had wanted for decades, convincing the public that the legal supply chain was the enemy, rather than the radicals pulling the triggers. The Play-by-Play: What it did: Backroom Deals: Domestic gun manufacturers essentially sold out the people. They backed the bill because it banned the import of cheap, foreign-made handguns—effectively wiping out their competition. The Media Lie: The press sold the GCA as a “targeted” bill to stop assassins. They completely ignored that it effectively criminalized the interstate market, invented the “prohibited persons” list, and choked off the legal supply chain for everyday citizens. The Reality Check (Hidden Incentives): Rumors: Rumor (Highly Credible): Senator Thomas Dodd explicitly modeled the 1968 GCA after Nazi Germany's 1938 Weapons Law. Dodd was a prosecutor at the Nuremberg Trials and public records confirm he had the Library of Congress translate the Nazi law. The structural parallels involving dealer licensing, tracking, and “sporting” clauses are nearly identical. Rumor: LBJ's push for the law was heavily influenced by elite, backroom fears of armed Black Panther patrols in California, rather than just the high-profile assassinations. Gun control is in fact rooted in racism. THE 2A ANGLE (LEGAL & IMPACT) The Threat: The GCA is the mother-ship of modern federal gun control. It created the Federal Firearms License (FFL) system, age restrictions, and the “prohibited persons” list. The ATF's current “zero tolerance” strategy of revoking licenses for misspelled words is entirely dependent on the FFL chokepoint created right here in '68. Bruen Test: Regulatory Creep: Pattern 1: Regulate the seller instead of banning the buyer (creating the FFL dependency). Pattern 2: Exploit intentionally vague language (like “engaged in the business”) so unelected bureaucrats can expand the law later without a Congressional vote. Pattern 3: Frame rights restrictions as “regulating interstate commerce” to bypass the Constitution. Pattern 4: Build the architecture of a registry quietly through compliance paperwork (Form 4473). THE TALKING POINTS (ON-AIR READY) WLS IS LIFESTYLE GFEN's Gun Maker's Match GMM is an annual DIY gun competition event that is the first official shooting competition exclusively for individuals who make their own guns. Multiple stage events are conducted for both Kit Built and 3D Printed guns in Pistol, PCC, and Rifle Divisions, with a special side match for .22lr 3D Printed Firearms. Guns For Everyone National has created the first Competition Series for 3D Printed & Kit Built Firearms.0 THE ALLEY AuxArc 3D Printable Firearms Holsters and Gear @AuxArc is a MakerWorld profile specializing in 3D printable models for firearms accessories, including holsters compatible with Glock 17/19 and Ruger RXM, as well as storage solutions for ammo and batteries. These are designed for 3D printing with some watertight and parametric features, but no detailed mechanical specs beyond compatibility are provided. GOING BALLISTIC National Rifle Association v. NRA Foundation Lawsuit (Washington, D.C.) The NRA Foundation faces ongoing transparency issues in a lawsuit filed by the National Rifle Association alleging illegal trademark use and failure to distribute funds. The Washington, D.C. Attorney General's office mediated the dispute but efforts failed, leading to a FOIA request (R005465-030626) for leadership details. The Foundation provided its 2024 Form 990 but refuses to disclose current trustees, officers, or salaries until the 2025 filing on November 15, 2026. New York Proposed Bills Reclassify BB Guns and Air Guns as Imitation Firearms (Savage) New York lawmakers have introduced bills in both the Assembly and Senate to reclassify airguns, BB rifles, and pellet guns as imitation firearms, requiring barrel plugs and toy-like coloration that would render them non-functional for firing projectiles. This aims to prevent police shootings involving realistic-looking airguns mistaken for real firearms. Paintball guns are exempted but face a raised purchase age from 16 to 18, while manufacturers would be deemed firearms industry members subject to public nuisance lawsuits. Colorado SB 26-043: Firearm Barrel Background Checks (Savage) Colorado Senate Bill 26-043 requires background checks, dealer transfers, and five-year recordkeeping for sales or transfers of firearm barrels, treating them like complete firearms. Non-serialized barrels must be serialized, with penalties including up to 30 days in jail and $500 fine for first-offense violations. The bill targets ghost guns but imposes compliance on all law-abiding gun owners in Colorado. Virginia HB40: Spanberger Signs Ghost Gun Ban (Savage) Virginia Governor Spanberger signed HB40, banning the manufacture, transfer, sale, importation, and eventual possession of unserialized firearms and unfinished frames or receivers in the Commonwealth of Virginia. The law establishes a serialization process for federal firearms licensees but includes no grandfather clause. Most provisions take effect January 1, 2027, with the possession ban effective July 1, 2027.0 OCC and FDIC Final Rule Prohibiting Discrimination Against Firearm Companies (Savage) The OCC and FDIC have issued a new Final Rule that prohibits banking regulators from using ‘reputational risk' as a basis for supervisory actions against institutions serving the firearm and ammunition industry. This rule ends the practice of debanking lawful gun businesses by barring adverse actions based on political, social, or constitutionally protected activities. The National Shooting Sports Foundation praised it as a significant victory under the Trump administration. FPC Statement on Trump Administration's Decision to Support Biden ATF ‘Frame or Receiver' Rule (Savage) Firearms Policy Coalition (FPC) issued a statement criticizing the Trump Administration for maintaining the Biden-era ATF ‘Frame or Receiver' rule after the U.S. Supreme Court upheld it in March 2025. Despite FPC providing a proposed alternative rule in May 2025 and numerous other recommendations, the Administration informed FPC it would preserve the existing definition of firearm ‘frame' and ‘receiver'. FPC accuses the Administration of actively working against Second Amendment rights rather than protecting them. OCC and FDIC Final Rule Prohibiting Reputational Risk-Based Debanking of Firearm Industry The OCC and FDIC issued a final rule that eliminates ‘reputational risk' as a basis for supervisory actions against banks, directly addressing debanking of lawful firearm and ammunition businesses. This change prohibits regulators from encouraging account closures based on political or social views, promoting objective banking supervision. The rule responds to prior findings of inappropriate distinctions against gun-related companies by FDIC-insured institutions. Virginia Proposed Assault Weapons Ban: Gun Store Sales Surge in Henrico County Gun sales in Virginia have surged dramatically as residents rush to purchase firearms ahead of a proposed state ‘assault weapons' ban set to prohibit AR-15 possession after July 1, 2026, unless owned prior. Background checks rose from 47,069 in March 2025 to 79,

BULLET POINTS Bus Built Systems PBP Gen 3 (Nick) The PBP Gen 3 from Bus Built Systems is a laser-cut 1/8-inch thick 304 stainless steel plate designed for mounting bags to an Arca rail, featuring an Arca clamp on one side and Arca rail on the other. It supports multiple bags from various manufacturers via perimeter slots and includes scallops for stability on props like cattle gates, plus fore and aft holes for optics or accessories. Powder coated in Bus Built Yellow, it weighs roughly a pound and a half without a bag. AR-15 Buffer Weights for Suppressed Tuning (H2 Buffer) The H2 buffer for AR-15 rifles weighs approximately 4.6 ounces and contains two tungsten weights, designed to slow down the bolt carrier group and reduce recoil in suppressed setups without needing an adjustable gas block. It is a popular choice for short-barreled rifles and suppressed AR-15s to manage increased backpressure from silencers. Heavier buffers like the H2 help fine-tune over-gassed systems by increasing mass. 1X Prism Optic A 1X prism optic uses a glass prism to focus both the target image and an etched reticle, which can be optionally illuminated without requiring batteries for basic use. It provides clarity and durability advantages over red dots, particularly for users with astigmatism, and supports complex reticles like ACSS with bullet drop compensation. Though not truly 1X, any magnification is negligible in practice. GUN FIGHTS No one stepped into the arena this week. GOING BALLISTIC Alberta and Saskatchewan Reject Federal Gun Confiscation Program from Ottawa (Savage) Alberta and Saskatchewan have publicly opposed Ottawa's federal firearm confiscation program, which banned about 2,500 firearms with a voluntary declaration deadline of March 31. Alberta's Minister of Justice Mickey Amery affirmed non-participation, directing provincial entities including law enforcement to decline implementation under provincial sovereignty legislation. Saskatchewan passed legislation to hinder the program, prompting criticism from Federal Public Safety Minister Gary Anandasangaree. John Lott on U.S. Military Bases Gun-Free Zones Policy (1992-1993) (Savage) John Lott argues that U.S. military bases should never have implemented gun-free zones, as these policies disarm trained personnel, leaving them vulnerable to attackers, evidenced by multiple mass shootings totaling 24 murdered and 38 wounded. The restrictions originated in 1992 under President George H.W. Bush and were enacted in 1993 by President Clinton to create a more ‘professional, business-like' environment. In contrast, troops carried weapons at all times in Iraq and Afghanistan without internal violence. Antonyuk v. James: New York Permanent Injunction on Social Media Gun Permit Requirement (Savage) In Antonyuk v. James, the United States District Court for the Northern District of New York issued a permanent injunction against New York's requirement for concealed carry applicants to disclose social media accounts from the past three years, as part of the Concealed Carry Improvement Act. The state consented to this injunction, removing the provision from the PPB-3 license application form. Litigation continues on other aspects of the Act, including restrictions on sensitive locations. Trump's FY2027 Budget Proposal (Civil Rights Division and ATF Funding for 2A Protection) (Savage) President Trump's FY2027 budget proposal includes targeted federal funding to defend Second Amendment rights, such as $1.4 million for a new office in the DOJ Civil Rights Division to protect against unlawful infringements and pursue enshrining those rights. It allocates $4.8 million to the Office of the Pardon Attorney's Firearm Rights Restoration Initiative for law-abiding citizens to regain rights post-justice obligations. The budget supports ATF in reversing prior regulations on background checks, pistol braces, homemade firearms, and FFL revocations, redirecting focus to illegal traffickers. Beckwith v. Frey: First Circuit Rules Gun Purchases Not Protected by Second Amendment (Savage) In Beckwith et al. v. Frey, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit reversed a district court's preliminary injunction against Maine's 2024 72-hour waiting period for gun purchases (Me. Stat. tit. 25, § 2016). The panel held that the Second Amendment's plain text protects keeping and bearing arms but not the act of purchasing or acquiring firearms. This creates a circuit split with other circuits recognizing a right to acquire arms. ATF Frames and Receivers Rule (Updating 2021R-05F) – Bondi v. VanDerStok (Savage) The ATF is preparing a new draft rule updating the 2021R-05F ‘Definition of ‘Frame or Receiver' and Identification of Firearms,' which expands the definition of ‘firearm' to include partially completed frames, receivers, and certain parts kits that are ‘readily' completable. This follows the 2022 rule upheld by the Supreme Court in Bondi v. VanDerStok (2025). The update eases restrictions on some metal unfinished kits while maintaining strict regulation on polymer frames. REVIEWS Review: Operative Agent J Freedom from Illinois Comiforina wants full gun control, and the latest suit against gatalog proves it's not about public safety. Ironic, that their top gun control tard was running guns, Yang I think his name was. And they literally had politicians hiring Chinese spys, and one threatening to nuke us. Operative Agent J Freedom Review: Griz from Texas Absolutely phenomenal podcast. It takes real talent to talk for this long and somehow say so little, but the hosts pull it off with impressive consistency. Every episode feels like a masterclass in wandering off-topic, repeating the same points, and stretching what could be five minutes of content into a full episode. The chemistry between the hosts is undeniable—mostly because they seem just as confused about where the conversation is going as the listeners are. The audio quality is great though, which really helps you clearly hear every awkward pause and questionable take. If you're looking for a podcast that will make you appreciate literally every other podcast out there, this one is a must-listen. Five squares for the unforgettable experience. Secret Notes Griz Review: JackB from Texas 5 squares.

GOING BALLISTIC Colorado HB 26-1144: Democrats Amend 3D-Printed Firearms Bill to Avoid Veto Colorado House Bill 1144 (HB 26-1144) targets the use of 3D printers to manufacture guns or gun parts, making it a crime in the state. Democrats revised the bill by removing a provision banning the distribution of digital printing instructions to secure passage and avoid a veto from Gov. Jared Polis. The amended version classifies first offenses as Class I misdemeanors and subsequent offenses as Class 5 felonies. Heeter v. James: Challenge to New York's Body Armor Ban Under the Second Amendment Heeter v. James is a federal lawsuit filed in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York challenging New York's body armor ban under the Concealed Carry Improvement Act as a Second Amendment violation. Plaintiffs argue body armor qualifies as an ‘arm' for self-defense, supported by historical precedents like Heller and Bruen, common civilian use, and lack of historical bans. The ban prohibits purchase, acquisition, or sale of protective body coverings by non-eligible civilians, with enforcement by state police. National Shooting Sports Foundation, Inc. v. Letitia James: SAF Amicus Brief Urging Supreme Court to Protect Firearms Industry under PLCAA The Second Amendment Foundation (SAF), along with NRA and Independence Institute, filed an amicus brief on March 30, 2026, in National Shooting Sports Foundation, Inc. v. Letitia James, challenging New York's law that circumvents the federal Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA). SAF argues that New York's statute enables abusive public nuisance lawsuits against firearms manufacturers and dealers, undermining PLCAA's protections against meritless litigation campaigns aimed at bankrupting the industry. The brief urges the Supreme Court to grant certiorari and reaffirm PLCAA's safeguards for lawful commerce and Second Amendment rights. Colorado House Bill 1144: 3D Gun Printing Ban Drops Digital Instructions Provision to Avoid Veto (Savage) Colorado's House Bill 1144 originally aimed to ban the manufacture of 3D printed guns and components like high-capacity magazines and receivers, as well as the sale or distribution of digital instructions for printing them. Lawmakers removed the provision on digital instructions after Gov. Jared Polis indicated he would veto the bill otherwise. The amended bill passed a preliminary Senate vote and is expected to be signed into law. Warren-Meeks Letter Demands Data on U.S. Semi-Automatic Firearm Export Licenses (Savage) U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren and Rep. Greg Meeks (D-NY) sent a letter to the Commerce Department's Bureau of Industry and Security requesting detailed data on semi-automatic firearm export licenses approved since January 2025. They cite ATF data linking U.S. exports to 20% of crime gun traces in Central America and 37% worldwide outside North America, demanding info on licenses, recipients, and monitoring by April 13, 2026. This follows Biden administration pauses on certain exports and Warren's recent legislation targeting ammunition sales and military-grade weapons. Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson: Pro-Gun Control Policies with $30 Million Taxpayer-Funded Armed Security (Savage) Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson supports Illinois' restrictive gun control measures, including a ban on assault-style weapons upheld by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit in 2023, while employing an armed security detail of up to 150 Chicago Police Department officers. This security costs taxpayers approximately $30 million annually. The arrangement highlights a perceived double standard where officials enjoy armed protection amid public firearm restrictions. Rep. Fry Files Amicus Brief in NSSF v. James Seeking SCOTUS Review to Defend Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA) (Savage) Rep. Russell Fry (R-SC), leading 54 House colleagues, and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) with Senate colleagues, filed an amicus brief urging the U.S. Supreme Court to review the Second Circuit's decision in NSSF v. James. The brief defends the PLCAA, a 2005 federal law preempting state liability suits against gun manufacturers for criminal misuse of firearms, against New York's public nuisance law. It argues the Second Circuit ruling undermines congressional intent and enables similar state circumventions. Armed Citizen Fights Off Attackers at Arundel Mills Mall, Hanover, Maryland (Savage) On March 28, 2026, an armed citizen at Arundel Mills Mall in Hanover, Maryland, drew a firearm during an assault by three attackers outside Burlington Coat Factory, discharging it and wounding one in the wrist. The attackers fled, leading to a police chase and crash on I-97, resulting in three arrests. The incident highlights civilian self-defense in a Maryland jurisdiction.0 Michigan Lawyer Barton Morris Helps Non-Violent Felons Restore Gun Rights via Federal DOJ Program (Savage) A Michigan lawyer, Barton Morris, assists non-violent felons who have completed their sentences in petitioning for firearm rights restoration through a proposed U.S. Department of Justice program. Michigan state law currently prohibits these individuals, such as those convicted of drug offenses, drunk driving, or theft, from owning guns post-sentence. An example is Clarence Overstreet, who filed a petition after a past cocaine possession conviction to protect his family and hunt. Calce v. City of New York Calce v. City of New York challenges New York City's ban on civilian possession of stun guns and tasers in the Second Circuit Court of Appeals (docket 25-861). The district court granted summary judgment to the city in March 2025, ruling plaintiffs failed to prove common use for Second Amendment protection. Oral arguments occurred, focusing on whether ‘common use' is a plaintiff burden under Bruen or shifts to the government. Ohio SB 392: Freedom to Carry Act Ohio Senate Bill 392, introduced on March 23, 2026, seeks to reform state weapons carry laws by expanding concealed carry beyond handguns to other deadly weapons, renaming licenses to concealed weapons licenses, and lowering the licensing age from 21 to 18. It permits licensed carry of concealed deadly weapons excluding ‘exclusive deadly weapons' defined as dangerous ordnance or federally/state-prohibited items, and allows loaded firearm possession in vehicles. The bill remains in the introduced stage amid Ohio's Republican legislative supermajorities. REVIEWS Review: The 5th cast member from Oregon From The 5th cast member If I visited each of the cast members. Sean First I would ask to see vault and when he took me to the gun vault I'd say no I mean the vault of money but you don't tell the other cast members about. Then we would take some time digging through all of the boxes of gear that he has been given by sponsors of the show over the years that he's never even opened or look at. Poring me a drink of something suspicious but claim it is some sort of Old world drink to see you. Sure few drinks probably want to show me a smooth child by balls which of course would scar me for life but they're really weird part would be with his pants down asking me if I want to play some hockey. Savige He would show me all of his communist compliant guns. Which wouldn't really actually be very many. Explain to me all of the conspiracy theories around the government in the state and federal. To ask if I wanted to join him secret group that was planning the next January 6th type event only he would call it January 7th as if that was enough secret seat to avoid being obvious. I received there believing I was just been trapped by an FBI informed. Aaron Quickly after meeting Erin he would want to show me the book he's been working on “the art of working” I'm genuinely act interested not to crushes dreams of becoming some sort of Tom Clancy. Then he would give me a 2 hour tutorial on how to use indeed. Followed by a house to get fired but still get the maximum unemployment benefits. Jarami I probably meet him at his gun store first. Shoot his “Part 2 because you wouldn't let me text the whole story. Nick

No support is provided with the purchase. GUN FIGHTS No one stepped into the arena this week. THE ALLEY Silencer Central Suppressors Coming Off ITAR Regulatory Win The X post from Silencer Central links to a blog announcing suppressors being removed from ITAR regulations, reducing export restrictions and red tape for manufacturers. This allows focus on innovation and international sales while benefiting traveling hunters and shooters. No specific product model is detailed in the page content. GOING BALLISTIC The Trace Adds New Board Members: Elizabeth Weinreb Fishman, Trymaine Lee, and Julia Turner (Savage) The Trace, an anti-gun media organization linked to Michael Bloomberg's Everytown for Gun Safety, announced three new board members on March 22, 2026: Elizabeth Weinreb Fishman (media strategist with Surgeon General ties), Trymaine Lee (journalist with shared awards), and Julia Turner (former Slate editor and L.A. Material co-founder). The article scrutinizes their backgrounds for credential exaggerations amid The Trace's efforts to expand anti-gun advocacy. No specific legal cases, bills, or jurisdictions are mentioned.0 Shall Not Be Infringed Act (Introduced by Rep. John McGuire) (Savage) The Shall Not Be Infringed Act, introduced by Rep. John McGuire (R-Virginia) on March 16, targets gun-free zones by allowing individuals harmed in such areas to sue the establishing government entities for damages. It defines gun-free zones as areas prohibiting public carry under federal, state, or local law and ties compliance to federal funding like Byrne-JAG and COPS grants. The bill aims to hold states and localities liable if victims were legally authorized to carry in their home state and could have mitigated harm. ATF Admits It's Still Enforcing Pistol Brace Rules — Even After the Rule Was Killed (Mock v. Garland) (Savage) Despite federal courts vacating the ATF's 2023 pistol brace rule nationwide in cases like Mock v. Garland, a recent DOJ filing in Texas v. ATF asserts continued enforcement of NFA short-barreled rifle provisions against certain braced pistols. The ATF claims this aligns with pre-rule statutory interpretations under the National Firearms Act and Gun Control Act. Gun owners face renewed concerns over potential felony prosecutions despite the rule's defunct status.2818 Michigan's Extreme Risk Protection Order Act: Report on 89% Ex Parte Gun Confiscations (Savage) A report reveals that 89 percent of Michigan's red flag law gun confiscations in 2025 occurred via ex parte orders without prior notice to the subject. Ex parte orders increased by more than 30 percent from 2024, with 459 such requests filed in 2025. The law allows seizure from subjects including minors and even third parties under an expansive definition of firearm possession. H.R. 556: Protecting Access for Hunters and Anglers Act – House Passage (Savage) The U.S. House of Representatives passed H.R. 556, the Protecting Access for Hunters and Anglers Act, on March 23, 2026. The bill prohibits the Secretaries of the Interior and Agriculture from imposing blanket restrictions on lead ammunition or fishing tackle on federal lands without scientific support and consistency with state laws. Note Derya Arms Note (Nick) Ruger mk iv Note (Nick) Derya SxS Note Gary plauche day Bullet Points Gun Fights No one stepped into the arena this week. The Agency Brief Agency Update THE HOOK (COLD OPEN) “Gary Plauché didn't ‘take the law into his own hands'—he just put justice on a faster timeline.” THE INTEL (THE STORY) The Play-by-Play The Grooming (1983): Jeff Doucet, local karate instructor, manipulates the Plauché family in Baton Rouge. Classic predator playbook: isolation and trust-building. The Kidnapping (Feb 1984): Doucet abducts 11-year-old Jody, fleeing to California. Repeatedly rapes and abuses the boy in an Anaheim motel. The Rescue: Doucet allows Jody to call his mother; FBI tracks the call. Doucet arrested, Jody saved. The Ambush (March 16, 1984): Doucet extradited to Baton Rouge Metro Airport. News crews tipped off for the “perp walk.” Gary Plauché waits by the payphones in a baseball cap and sunglasses. The Shot: As Doucet passes, live on WBRZ-TV, Gary turns. One shot from a .38 snub-nose into Doucet's head. “Why, Jeff?” The Verdict: Zero prison time. 7-year suspended sentence, 5 years probation, 300 hours community service. The judge and DA knew no jury in Louisiana would convict a father for killing his son's rapist. The Reality Check (Hidden Incentives) Fear of Jury Nullification: The state cut a plea deal because they were terrified of a “Not Guilty” verdict setting a legal precedent for vigilance. Institutional CYA: The police failed to protect the kid, then paraded the predator like a celebrity. They needed the case to go away quietly to cover their own incompetence. The “Unwritten Law”: Backroom signaling acknowledged that while the law says “murder,” the community standard says “justice.” The plea deal was the system bowing to the reality that some people just need killing. THE 2A ANGLE (LEGAL & IMPACT) The Threat: Modern Disarmament Red Flag Laws: In 2025, a father in Gary's emotional state would be “Red Flagged” and stripped of his rights before he could protect his family. “Mental Health” Trap: The state uses righteous anger as proof of “instability.” If you are angry your kid was hurt, you are now a “prohibited person.” Bruen Test: Text, History, Tradition Text: The 2A protects “the right of the people to keep and bear Arms.” It doesn't cite an exception for “angry dads.” History & Tradition: The U.S. has a long tradition of “defense of habitation” and defense of kin. While vigilante execution isn't protected, the right to carry for family defense is absolute. Analysis: Anti-gunners use Plauché as an “outlier” to justify broad restrictions. Under Bruen, you cannot restrict the rights of the law-abiding majority because one dad settled a score. Regulatory Creep: Backdoor Control Soli-Geography: Taking the “sensitive place” logic of an airport and expanding it to everywhere emotions run high (schools, parks, sidewalks). The Narrative War: Media uses this clip to argue that gun owners are “ticking time bombs,” ignoring that Gary was calm, precise, and harmed no one else. THE TALKING POINTS (ON-AIR READY) “The system calls it vigilantism. I call it parenting. Gary Plauché did what the courts were too weak to do.” “Gun control saves pedophiles. Disarming law-abiding fathers only makes the world safer for monsters like Jeff Doucet.” “In 1984, a judge understood that a father's love doesn't wait for an appeals court. Today, that same dad gets Red Flagged.” “Using Gary Plauché to argue against the Second Amendment is like banning seatbelts because someone used a car to leave a crime scene.” “Gary proved that sometimes the state is too slow, too soft, and too stupid to handle the monsters. That's why we carry.” The Alley Going Ballistic Virginia S.B. 749: Senator Cites Handgun Attacks to Justify Assault Weapons Ban Virginia Senator Saddam Salim (D) sponsored S.B. 749, an assault weapons ban targeting AR-15s and semiautomatic rifles, which passed Democrat-controlled legislature on March 9, 2026, effective July 1, 2026. Salim justified the ban by referencing handgun attacks, including the 2007 Virginia Tech shooting and 2019 Virginia Beach shooting. The bill includes a grandfather clause for pre-effective date possession but prohibits sales, transfers, and new purchases. The Gist: Virginians statewide; applies to possession, sale, and transfer of AR-15s and semiautomatic rifles. Impact: Passed by Virginia Democrat lawmakers on March 9, 2026; effective July 1, 2026; grandfather clause allows retention if possessed prior but bans sale, transfer, or new purchases. Bottom Line: Senator Saddam Salim cited handgun attacks (Virginia Tech 2007, Virginia Beach 2019) to justify banning AR-15s and semiautomatic rifles via S.B. 749.0 Washington HB 2521 & HB 5974: Background Check Fee Hike and Sheriff Silencing Bills Washington Democrats passed House Bill 2521, allowing the State Patrol to raise background check fees for firearm transactions from $18 potentially to $35 to cover costs, and House Bill 5974, empowering a state board to remove elected sheriffs refusing to enforce gun laws. Both bills advanced through the Democrat-controlled 2026 legislative session and await Gov. Bob Ferguson's expected signature. HB 2521 takes effect May 1, 2027, if signed, amid opposition citing constitutional violations. The Gist: Washington state: HB 2521 affects gun owners undergoing background checks for firearm transactions; HB 5974 targets elected county sheriffs, particularly those opposing gun control enforcement. Impact: HB 2521 grants WSP authority to hike fees as a ‘blank check,' viewed as a poll tax impairing constitutional right to bear arms (Article 1, Section 24); HB 5974 enables state board removal of non-compliant sheriffs, backed by Alliance for Gun Responsibility but opposed by sheriffs and 86% in a KOMO poll. Bottom Line: Both bills passed legislature and sent to Gov. Ferguson for signature (expected); imposes higher costs on gun transactions and risks state override of elected sheriffs on gun law enforcement. Old Dominion University Terror Attack (Virginia) Exposes Myth of Gun Tracing A terror attack at Old Dominion University in Virginia involved a stolen Glock 44 pistol used by Jalloh, a prohibited felon, highlighting the ineffectiveness of firearms tracing systems. The gun's chain of custody was broken by theft, and its partially obliterated serial number rendered tracing futile; investigators identified the seller via phone records instead. The article argues that national tracing and registration efforts are obsolete, costly, and rarely solve crimes, citing examples like Canada's handgun registry. The Gist: Old Dominion University (Norfolk, Virginia); Newport News, Virginia (gun theft); United States broadly (hundreds of millions of firearms over 10 years old or stolen are untraceable). Impact: Firearms tracing fails due to stolen guns breaking custody chains, obliterated serial numbers, and old firearms; registration systems like Canada's handgun registry (since 1934) solved no crimes by 1995; promotes electronic surveillance over ineffective gun control measures. Bottom Line: Firearms tracing and registration systems are obsolete, cost-ineffective myths that do not solve violent crimes, as proven by the Old Dominion case where phone records, not tracing, identified the gun seller.

Note Endorse Herrerra GUN FIGHTS No one stepped into the arena this week. WLS IS LIFESTYLE Note Jeremy syrup THE ALLEY GOING BALLISTIC Grand Rapids, Michigan Mayor David LaGrand's Anti-Gun Comments and NRA Response (Savage) Grand Rapids Mayor David LaGrand made controversial statements shaming lawful gun owners during a community meeting on policing, prompting backlash from the NRA. He equated gun ownership to smoking and called for community shaming around possession. The mayor later clarified that Second Amendment and state law limit municipal policy options, with no changes intended. National Constitutional Carry Act (Senator Mike Lee) (Savage) Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) introduced the National Constitutional Carry Act on March 5, 2026, to eliminate concealed carry permit requirements nationwide for eligible U.S. citizens legally allowed to own firearms. The bill prohibits states and localities from imposing fees or conditions on public carry and protects interstate travelers from criminalization for carrying. It builds on Supreme Court precedents like Bruen (2022) to establish a federal floor superseding restrictive state laws. Minneapolis Firearm Ownership Increase Following 2020 Events (Shooting News Weekly) (Savage) The article attributes a shift in attitudes toward firearms in Minneapolis to the 2020 protests, riots, looting, and ‘defund the police' movement, leading to reduced police staffing. This has resulted in higher gun sales and wider firearm ownership, including among liberals and white left-leaning homeowners who previously supported police budget cuts. Minneapolis is described as overwhelmingly Democrat, with policies likened to those turning it into ‘the next Chicago.' Wyoming HB096, HB0098, SF0101: GOA-Backed Gun Rights Bills Face Potential Veto by Governor Gordon (Savage) Three Gun Owners of America (GOA)-supported bills—HB096 (lowers concealed carry permit age to 18), HB0098 (criminalizes state/local enforcement of Red Flag Gun Confiscation Orders), and SF0101 (adds civil remedies to 2022 Second Amendment Protection laws)—passed the Wyoming Legislature and await Governor Mark Gordon's decision by March 10, 2026. These measures aim to bolster Second Amendment protections by deterring compliance with federal gun controls. GOA urges immediate calls to prevent vetoes. Colorado House Bill 26-1144: Bans 3D-Printed Guns and Parts (Savage) House Bill 26-1144 criminalizes the manufacturing or production of firearms, unfinished frames or receivers, large-capacity magazines, or rapid-fire devices via 3D printing in Colorado. It also prohibits selling or distributing digital instructions (computer files) for 3D printing such items, expanding on existing laws for unserialized firearms. The bill passed the Democrat-controlled Colorado House and awaits Senate review. THE AGENCY BRIEF Agency Update   Agency Update   Agency Update   Agency Update Preparedness. Austin Terrorist Attacks. WLS IS LIFESTYLE GOING BALLISTIC USA Today Warns on Gun Violence Archive Mass Shooting Data Disputes (Savage) The article critiques the Gun Violence Archive (GVA) definition of mass shootings as four or more people injured or killed (excluding shooter), which includes gang, drug, and domestic incidents, contrasting with the FBI's narrower focus on mass killings with four or more deaths. GVA reports inflated figures like 656 mass shootings in 2023 and 417 in 2019, versus FBI's 30 for 2019, sourced from media and social media. USA Today notes these numbers may differ from FBI/CDC data and could be challenged, amid criticisms of media misuse for anti-gun narratives. Illinois v. Joel Fernandez: SWAT Arrest for Possessing 38 Rounds of Ammo Without FOID Card (Savage) Joel Fernandez, a 20-year-old in Lake in the Hills, Illinois, was arrested by SWAT and charged with possessing 38 rounds of ammunition without a valid Firearms Owner ID (FOID) card. The incident involved a joint investigation leading to a search warrant, shelter-in-place order, and preschool lockdown. Under Illinois law, possessing even a single round without a FOID card is a serious crime. New York Senate Bill 362: Proposed 10-Day Waiting Period for Gun Purchases (Savage) New York lawmakers have introduced Senate Bill 362, mandating a 10-day waiting period for firearm purchases from dealers after passing the national instant criminal background check and completing Form 4473. The bill applies to lawful citizens in New York and is criticized as an unnecessary delay on Second Amendment rights with no proven public safety benefits. Opponents, including the NRA-ILA, argue it fails to reduce suicides, homicides, or mass shootings and may endanger those needing immediate self-defense. Roberts v. ATF: Third Lawsuit Challenging NFA Constitutionality (Savage) The American Suppressor Association Foundation and other 2A groups filed Roberts v. ATF in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky, challenging the National Firearms Act's registration regime for suppressors and short-barreled firearms. The suit argues that with the $200 excise tax eliminated, the remaining registration lacks justification as a revenue measure per Sonzinsky v. United States. It joins similar challenges in Brown v. ATF and Jensen v. ATF. U.S. v. Hemani: Supreme Court Case on Section 922(g)(3) Firearm Ban for Unlawful Drug Users (Savage) The U.S. Supreme Court is set to hear oral arguments on March 2, 2026, in U.S. v. Hemani, challenging the constitutionality of Section 922(g)(3), which prohibits firearm possession by ‘unlawful' drug users. The case involves federal defendant Ali Danial Hemani, who admitted to regular marijuana use while possessing a firearm. Circuit courts are split on the law's validity under the Second Amendment. FBI on Austin Mass Shooting: Evidence Indicates Potential Nexus to Terrorism (Savage) The Austin mass shooting occurred at Buford's Backyard Beer Garden on Sixth Street near the University of Texas campus, where an unidentified suspect drove an SUV to the scene, fired a pistol at patrons, and was killed by Austin police less than one minute later. The FBI, assisting the Austin Police Department, stated evidence on the subject and in his vehicle, including a Koran, indicates a potential nexus to terrorism, though motivation remains undetermined. Three people were killed including the shooter, with 17 injured and 14 hospitalized. REVIEWS Review: Lord Norvell 5 stars. For the Love of god please get rid of Savage. He is unbearable and ruins the show. I dont mean this jokingly seriously I have been listening for many uears and i had to quit because I cant stand listening to him talk. He cannot pronounce any words and sounds like his mouth is full of cum . You have him reading the news which is absolutely retarded and i have to shut it off even though I want to actually hear the news. His stupid personality is fucking lame and he just fucking runins everything. I loved the show so.much more when he was gone. Review: Nick Kerr five squares for the stranger things heavy DT episode. it really helped humanize jeremy to hear him let his feminine side roar like katy perry riding a flaming pegasus into a crabs vagina…but also kind of sad, because you could tell he wished he had the courage to come out in dramatic fashion like that kid on the show. Review: Half-rican 5 stars. Pretty decent cast all around. Shawn is loosing weight, and will probably end up with saggy skin covering up his ssb like a set of old lady meat curtains. Show sucked when Savage was gone. I missed us both hearing or reading the news for the first time live on the show, Then there is Nick. if I could perform a miracle I would swap his butthole with Aaron's . I don't know if it would be an improvement. And that just leaves Jermey (say it like a Mexcian). Good old Jermey Meno-Pozderac. Some people say he is a cunt, that would explain how all those shirts look like they have a yeast infection. Review: Sigger Jim Trigger Warning! When talking about gunpowder, these racists used the term “black” powder. GOING BALLISTIC ATF's ‘Engaged in the Business' Rule Mirrors Canada's Firearms Confiscation Approach (Shooting Wire Analysis) The article argues that the ATF's Final Rule on the Definition of “Engaged in the Business” Selling Firearms and Ammunition, effective May 20, 2024, effectively enables a backdoor gun grab in the US similar to Canada's 2020 Order in Council banning over 1,500 firearms models. It claims the rule reclassifies private sales and occasional transfers as requiring a Federal Firearms License (FFL), mirroring Canada's prohibition-then-buyback strategy. The piece warns this erodes Second Amendment rights by criminalizing common firearm transactions without due process. Utah HB 431: GOP Rep. Cheryl Acton Pushes to Ban Open Carry on College Campuses (Savage) Utah Republican Representative Cheryl Acton has introduced House Bill 431 to prohibit the open carry of firearms on the campuses of public colleges and universities in the state. The piece argues that the incident demonstrates the consistent pattern of gun control arguments relying on emotional appeals rather than evidence of effectiveness. Bearing Arms: Reason Transgender Gun Ban Proposal Won't Advance (Savage) The article discusses a proposed federal rule by the Biden administration to prohibit firearm purchases by individuals with gender transition-related medical diagnoses, such as gender dysphoria. It argues the rule faces significant legal and political hurdles, including likely injunctions from courts that have blocked similar ATF actions. The author asserts it lacks momentum and is destined to fail. Shooting News Weekly Critique of Evidence-Free Claims on Guns and Public Safety Conflict (Savage) The article criticizes a purported expert's assertion of a conflict between concealed carry and public safety, labeling it as evidence-free hackery. REVIEWS Review: Jaqin Ta'Sox from Connecticut From; Jaqin Ta'Sox: Review I still think y'all are gay. But, regarding ep 647. I agree with Jerambay, 99%. I agree with Shawn as far as the narrative being twisted, disagree with most of his thoughts on the agents. Everyone who can legally carry should be able carry everywhere, full stop. The narrative of him carrying a 320 with spare mags to “cause chaos” is BS. The difference in Rittenhouse and the Minisota Nut, is in their choices. Rittenhouse didn't look for danger, danger found him, he ran away, then defended himself. Minisota nut, put himself in the middle of a wave of insanity. Had he gave the agents a buffer, he could've yelled and cursed all he wanted. Tragic, but justified.   Review: From Jeff E Comment only. Liberals are the biggest fucking idiots. They try to tell us how Trump is a dick tator, while they do everything in their power to dismantle the Constitution, specifically 2A. The very things that were setup to limit government, not to limit us. Sadly, they don't teach this in school anymore, (about Constitution limiting government). While like in Illinois they call our politicians “lawmakers”, when they should be called servants. It also bans magazines over 10 rounds and imposes restrictions on private transfers. Ammoland Article: Committed Gun Grabbers Claim to Support the Second Amendment (February 2026) The article criticizes politicians and groups labeled as ‘gun grabbers' who publicly claim support for the Second Amendment while advocating restrictive gun control measures. It highlights inconsistencies in their rhetoric and actions, portraying them as undermining constitutional rights. Examples include statements from figures like Joe Biden and organizations such as Everytown for Gun Safety. DOJ Amicus Brief in Support of Challenge to Massachusetts Handgun Roster (Savage) The U.S. Department of Justice filed an amicus curiae brief in a federal lawsuit challenging Massachusetts' handgun roster law, arguing that the Attorney General's authority to ban handguns lacking arbitrary safety features violates the Second Amendment. The brief, submitted in the case Reese v. Department of Revenue, contends that the roster effectively prohibits most modern handguns by imposing subjective loaded chamber indicator and magazine disconnect requirements not justified by public safety data. It cites post-Bruen precedents to assert that Massachusetts' scheme fails constitutional scrutiny. Oregon Democrats Propose Two-Year Delay for Permit-to-Purchase Law (HB 2005) (Savage) Oregon Democrats are advancing a proposal to delay the implementation of the state's new permit-to-purchase handgun law, HB 2005, from its original August 2026 start date to August 2028. The delay addresses concerns over the Oregon State Police's readiness to process the required background checks and issue permits. This comes amid ongoing legal challenges to the law, which mandates a safety course, background check, and references for handgun purchases. New Mexico House Bill 129 – Proposed Broadest Gun Ban in US (Savage) New Mexico Democrats are advancing House Bill 129, which would ban a wide array of semi-automatic firearms including AR-15s, AK-47s, and many handguns.

WLS IS LIFESTYLE GOING BALLISTIC Anti-Gunners Pivot to New Narrative on Pretti Shooting to Push Gun Control (Savage)Anti-gun activists are attempting to reframe the fatal shooting of Minnesota lawmaker Melissa Hortman—initially dubbed the ‘Pretti shooting'—by emphasizing the shooter's legally owned firearms rather than his criminal history or prior threats. The article critiques this shift as a desperate tactic amid failures in states like Virginia and Minnesota to pass sweeping gun bans. Hawaii Democrats Escalate Carry Restrictions Ahead of Supreme Court Pistol Permit Ruling (Savage)Hawaiian Democrats are advancing legislation to impose additional restrictions on concealed carry permits just before a pivotal Supreme Court decision on the state's draconian pistol licensing process. Media Ignores Study: More Guns, Less Crime Across America (Savage)A recent study confirms John Lott's ‘More Guns, Less Crime' thesis, showing states with higher concealed carry rates experience lower violent crime. BULLET POINTS GUN FIGHTS No one stepped into the arena this week. THE AGENCY BRIEF Agency Update (Shawn)### Incident Overview: Minneapolis * Alex Pretti, a 37-year-old nurse. Minnesota protest against ICE. * What we do know is he was in Signal chats tracking ICE movements and likely acting as an observer. * It wasn't just standing between them. Pretti involved himself and injected himself between an ICE agent and another protester. That is the moment he stopped being a legal observer and became a suspect for assault on a federal officer. * Mike Brown: The media claiming he was “shot for filming” is the equivalent of saying “Mike Brown was shot for jaywalking.” The initial act is irrelevant. * Gun in question: Sig P320 AXG, red dot, two spare mags. Small-of-back holster. (Note: The choice of the P320 is controversial in itself given its history). ### The Anatomy of a Split-Second Shoot * The Chaos Factor: The environment was absolute bedlam. Whistles blowing, screaming, constant noise—it's hard to even watch the video because it's so overwhelming. This is the “leftist act” 101: create maximum chaos to disorient and frazzle the opposition, and then get mad when human beings react poorly to that sensory overload. * Unreasonable Expectations: It is unreasonable to expect any human, badge or not, to operate at peak capacity when they are being swarmed and deafened. The disorientation is the point. This is the intended outcome. * Quickly: We can frame-by-frame this all day, but on the ground, this decision happened in a single breath. Juries are often instructed to disregard slow motion because it creates a false sense of time. Real-time analysis shows the true speed of the OODA loop. * Sequence: Scuffle starts. Gun gets exposed. “Gun!” is yelled. Agent (maybe) removes Pretti's gun from his holster and moves away from the scrum. Agent in green draws. Less than one second later, shots are fired. * Communication Breakdown: Even if the gun was removed, if that wasn't communicated instantly to the other agents, they are shooting based on the last known fact: “He has a gun.” ### Use of Force: The OODA Loop Reality * Graham v. Connor: The legal standard is what the officer knew *at the time*, not what we find out later. If they didn't know he was disarmed, the shoot is legally justified under *Graham*. * Processing Lag: The OODA Loop (Observe, Orient, Decide, Act) is real. There is always a lag between your brain seeing a threat and your finger moving. * Awful but Lawful: Because the timeline was compressed into milliseconds, an agent could reasonably believe the threat was active. ### Tactical Failures * Five agents on one guy. It seemed overly chaotic and overall bad tactics. * We are stuck relying on shaky cell phone footage because uniformed feds aren't recording. * It is heavily speculated that the 320 went off, which is what drove the shooting. As many times as I've watched frame by frame, I can't confirm that. ### The Narrative: Government Lies & “Ridiculous” Takes The disconnect between the video and the official story is insulting. They immediately pivoted to extreme hyperbole. Officials are using this to set a precedent that carrying a gun invalidates your First Amendment rights. * Gregory Bovino (Border Patrol Commander): “This looks like a situation where an individual wanted to do maximum damage and massacre law enforcement.” * Stephen Miller (Deputy White House Chief of Staff): “A would-be assassin tried to murder federal law enforcement…” * Kristi Noem (DHS Secretary): Labeled him a “domestic terrorist” and claimed he arrived to “inflict maximum damage.” * Kristi Noem (DHS Secretary): “I don't know of any peaceful protester that shows up with a gun… This is a violent riot when you have someone showing up with weapons…” * Kash Patel (FBI Director): “No one who wants to be peaceful shows up at a protest with a firearm that is loaded with two full magazines! That is not a peaceful protest.” * All fucking lies. This is a terrible anti-2A take. Plenty of us carry at protests and everywhere fucking else. If we let them normalize this “guns = riot” talk, they will use it to disarm us next. ### Anti-2A Rhetoric * Suddenly, anti-gun groups like Brady United are defending a “legal gun owner” just to attack the police. They don't care about Pretti; they just hate the Trump and ICE more than they hate guns right now. ### 2A Absolutism * This is the moment that separates the 2A tourists from the absolutists. It's easy to defend your friends. The test is defending your enemies. American citizens, as long as they have not been legally disqualified, should have the right to carry a firearm. The second amendment is clear. * If you believe in the Second Amendment, you have to believe it applies to everyone, even the anti-ICE radical leftist, mentally ill, TDS guy you disagree with. * Fucking hypocrites, you don't believe in rights; you believe in privileges. Dangerous freedom isn't just a quote, it's a fucking fundamental idea. ### The Burden of Carry & Rittenhouse * I'm not sad he's gone, and frankly, this is a classic case of FAFO. He didn't deserve to die though. * The Rule: “Don't do stupid shit while armed.” Pretti failed. * If you draw the attention of law enforcement while armed, you better chill the fuck out. However, as the Daniel Shaver case proved, even full compliance doesn't guarantee survival. That cop was acquitted btw. * This is Kyle Rittenhouse all over again. A guy took a gun to a volatile counter-protest and it went sideways. Watch the hypocrisy, people who hate Rittenhouse are defending Pretti, and vice versa. You can't have it both ways. ### The “Jackboot” Reality Check * You can support the mission (border security) and still recognize that the agents are often the jackbooted thugs who will stomp on your neck if ordered. * Don't forget COVID. Don't forget Ashli Babbitt on J6. When the chips fall, law enforcement will follow orders, not necessarily the Constitution. * The Cost: There are good cops, sure, but ultimately, blue team will always be their priority. ### Is It Worth It? * Imagine defending illegal immigrant criminals. * The left is mentally ill. This is not about defending illegal immigrants. In fact most of them probably feel the same way as the rest of us. This is about defying Trump because they are all massively inflicted with Trump derangement syndrome. WLS IS LIFESTYLE GOING BALLISTIC
